She soon would finally come to a stop, but not before she would place her hand on his shoulder. Again, there was that beautiful smile of hers.

" That is wonderful, Cesar. "

A laugh. No, not even a laugh. More like a chuckle. What would she have him do though? Help clean? No.. the place was pretty clean already. Most of the major chores had already been done. Yet, as she tried to think of something to keep them busy, something unusual, especially for her, came to her mind.

" Tell me.. do you know how to bake? "

Not cook, but bake. Baking and cooking were two different things. She was thinking about making appetizers, and possible some deserts, for both slaves and customers.

Plus, she just wanted a cookie.

(( Sorry for the writer's block. I'm so tired, lol. I think I'll be getting off the computer sometime soon. ^^' ))

"Hm..." Right as she stopped, he rolled his head to the side and looked into her eyes. Her smile was so kind and welcoming, and that laugh... it made Cesar feel calm, right at home. 'If I even had a place to call home.' he thought somberly, though his expression showed nothing of it.

"Baking...?" He said, a little surprised, "Ah, I am sorry, but I know little to nothing about what goes on in a kitchen." He smiled, "But I would be happy to learn, or assist you in making whatever you had in mind." He had a high appreciation for good food, and baked goods were, by no means, vetoed off the list. It would be fun to see how meals were made, and what exactly he was eating. Growing increasingly excited, his smile broadened, yet still kept the calm and serene look.

" That is all I ask, Cesar. "

She would reach out and place her hand delicately on his cheek, that welcoming smile never leaving her lips.

He wasn't like most of her pets. No.. he was more willing. She liked that. He rather seemed to enjoy himself. Most pets should be like him.

She couldn't help but want to keep him around.

She would move her hand from his face and down to his hand, taking it in her own.

" Come then. I will take you, and I will teach you. It really is a wonderful hobby. "

She let out a soft laugh, and she even gave his hand a light squeeze before she would begin to lead him out of his room, down the hall, and into the main lobby. The lobby was just a large living room. Couches, chairs, tables, entertainment centers.. Anything you could find in a normal home. This is where people could relax with a pet before they even had to purchase them. She would lead Cesar away from that, taking him to another offshoot, which brought them to a rather large kitchen area. It was sectioned off into groups, so that there were really several kitchens all in one room. She took him to the first one before she would release his hand, turning around to smile at him again.

He purred contently, enjoying the touch and smiling again. This woman was... a lot nicer than the other shop owners and masters he had met. She seemed to understand what was going on. It was hard to run a business like this, you had to be strict. Alana seemed to have a perfect balance, treating each person according to how they act. He was sure that she was strict on the aggressive ones, but she showed none of that here in front of him. She was kind to him.

With every passing moment, he felt more and more compelled to call her 'master.'

But he threw away that urge. It was very likley he would be picked out fast by someone else. "Ladies first." He gestured to the door before taking her hand and following her out of his room, through the main lobby and into the kitchen. Cesar examined all that was around him, having never gotten to take a really good look at the place. He had just been led to his room while it was still fairly dark. He liked the way it was set up, very homey and a friendly atmosphere.

Once in the kitchen he looked around, and was amazed at what he saw. "There're so many tools! Is there really that much required to make meals...?" He was especially interested in the strange machines that were on the counter, one of them labeled as 'Blender.' He looked at it and tried to figure out how it worked, but could see no levers or anything. He did see some numbers on it, but had no idea what they were there for. He turned to her and asked, "Ah, what's this for? And why are these letters and numbers written on the base?"

She watched him as he would look around, and soon find his attention of the blender. She smiled, though she was a bit worried that he might go and press the buttons. It wasn't a good idea to turn on a blender, especially when you didn't know what it did. He then asked her about it, and she couldn't help but let out a soft laugh.

" That, my lovely Cesar, is a blender. It is used to mix things, mostly liquids, and even to tear and shred solids. Here.. I'll demonstrate for you. "

With that, she went to the fridge. She began to pull things out and set them aside on the counter. It was mostly fruits, berries to be precise. Blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries. She even took out a banana. Next, she pulled out a gallon of milk, whole milk, and she took her ingredients to the blender. She opened the milk jug, and filled the blender part way with it, then set it aside. Her berry mixture went into the blender, most of the berries being strawberries. The others were just added flavor, so she used only a few of each. She peeled the banana, then broke it into smaller chunks before dropping the pieces in. She then put the lid on the blender, though she would speak to Cesar before she would start it.

" Dear, would you do me a favor and grab two glasses from that cabinet beside you? "

As she spoke, she began to put the milk and remaining fruit back into the fridge. She would wait for him to have the glasses before she would even start the blender.

I have fallen to my knees....

"Let... me.... OUT OF HEEEEEEEERE!" He yelled, thrashing against the wall he was pinned to. The room became blurry, his senses dulled. How long had he been at this? Three days...? Panting through his teeth, he tried to regain his train of thought. His arms and neck were in shackles were chained to the walls, and his powers had been neutralized by a collar he wore on his neck. He growled, 'How the hell did I get into this mess...?' He planted his feet and looked at the door in front of him, focusing on it. He clenched his teeth again, and pulled on his arms with all his strength, trying desperately to break free.

But the goddamn chains were far stronger.

Tasting defeat, he slumped on the floor against the wall behind him, his arms hanging up from the chains. The neck chain was long enough so he could sit down without choking himself, but the overall position wasn't comfortable. He sighed, and looked at the door again. "Why do you taunt me...? I could so easily break you into a million pieces, you weak, insignificant, hunk of... whatever you are. Steel, wood... I can't tell." He snarled.

"Just you wait until I get out of these chains, just you wait until I break the damn collar off... you'll feel my wrath, you'll feel the anger of a Demon Dragon!" He yelled and got back up on his feet. He pulled at the chains again with extra vigor and morale. He roared loudly, the sound echoing throughout the hallways and could be heard in the main lobby. He thrashed his body around, his tail hitting the ground and making a loud thumping noise, causing the ground to tremble ever so slightly. He paused, allowing his body to be supported by the shackles his arms were bound to, sweat dripping off his brow and down his body. He panted through his teeth again, and stared at the door.

Anger.. fear..

Delightful..

Just.. not now.

Angel had been laying on her bed, asleep actually, when a sound had woken her up. She let out a low groan, recognizing it right away. That stupid demon down the hall was at it again. She could never take a nap when he was yelling! She had never met him, but she could hear him constantly. He was always yelling, always whining! It was so annoying!

Well, she'd find a way to shut him up, that was for sure.

Angel had been here for a bit over a week, and she was already getting to know how things worked. If you behaved, you were given freedoms. You could roam the halls, the lobby, the fields, anywhere, as long as you were good. Well, she had her own freedoms. She was never exactly let out of her room.. but she was never put back once she was out.

Little trouble maker, that's what she was.

After simply unlocking her door, she slipped out. She knew that no one would be watching, nor would anyone care. Angel never did anything exactly wrong.. so she was never punished. She was glad to have gained such liberties, especially now.

She walked down the hall to the door where the noise was coming from. She took one glance around, her long, slender tail waving one way, then flicking back to the other. She couldn't hide that mischievous grin of hers as she unlocked the door with easy. It was then she would slip inside, carefully shutting the door behind her.

Time to meet the person who was ruining her nap time.

Cesar watched her gather all the fruits, puzzled as to why she had chosen so many. Weren't you only supposed to eat certain ones together? He could understand the strawberry and the banana, but the others? He knew what they all tasted like, and was sure that the blueberries and raspberries wouldn't mix very well with the other two. But he trusted that she knew what she was doing, after all, she probably had more experience with making this stuff than he did... scratch that, even if she only made one thing in her entire life she'd have more knowledge than himself.

"Ah, sure..." He walked up to the cabinet and grabbed two glasses, "Are you making a drink?" A guess, but an educated on. She was putting everything away. What would they need cups for otherwise?

I witnessed everything..

Yuuki's night cursed her every single day. The Nightmares, the pain. It had to stop. She couldn't do this alone. Her only option was to get a slave. She avoided getting one ever since she was freed but she had to. She needed someone who could care for her. But there is so many rebbelious ones out there,Who could please her? Looks like she'd need to find out. She set out into the empty streets...wait...Empty? She sprinted to the nearest slave shop. she looked in. slaves piled high. What a life.

He was catching on pretty quick. Then again, it was sort of obvious.

" Yes. A smoothie, actually. "

With a chuckle, she would grab a jar of honey off the counter. She hadn't thought about it at first, but just a little of it would probably taste pretty well. Honey was sweet, and it would act like sugar, sweetening up the sharp and bitter taste of the raspberries, and enhancing the flavor of the blueberries. Too much though, and she would overpower their subtle flavors. The banana would stand out the most, she remembered that, so she wanted the other berries to have a chance and stand out. So, without another thought, she pored just a bit of honey into the mixture. Just a little. The honey would also help blend the berry flavors together, so you could taste them individually, but only as an aftertaste.

Alana loved to cook, and she loved to experiment.

She placed her hand on the lid, and she turned the blender on a low setting. The machine kicked on, giving off a soft hissing noise as the blade inside began to turn. The colors quickly began to blend together, turning it into a soft pink, almost purple, thick liquid. The milk had dulled the colors some, otherwise it probably would have been a very dark red.

" Set the glasses on the counter, Cesar. I'll pour it in the glasses once it's mixed through. "

Suddenly, the door knob moved. He perked his head up a little and looked to see the door opening. His spirits rose a little, someone was there to visit him? It wasn't until he saw a small cat-like figure that he went back to his previous mood; annoyed and aggravated, "Rrrrrr, what the hell do you want?!" He snarled.

Great, someone had broken into his room. Why couldn't he have broken out of his damn chains if this girl was able to open the door? His pride took a small decline, but it didn't last long. He convinced himself that the door and the chains would be child's play after the collar was gone. But then... what about the collar? How would he get it off...? The neck shackle was covering it, and he needed room to break it off. He shrugged off the thought, and turned his attention back to the pipsqueak in front of him.

Angel couldn't help but smile as she looked at him. Boy, this guy must have been trouble. Alana never liked to have her pets locked up like this. Either he was really rebellious, or he was extremely dangerous.

Well, he didn't seem like he was going anywhere anytime soon.

She had nothing to be afraid of.

She let out a chuckle at his question. He was really trying to sound threatening. Now though, she would begin to walk towards him, a slight sway in her step.

" Aww.. look at what we have here. Pretty Boy is all tied up. You must have really got on the owner's bad side, huh? "

She was within five feet of him now. Just out of reach of him. He could try to get at her, but she knew that he wouldn't be able to reach. Now that she was closer, she began to look him over. He wasn't human, that was for sure. He was in lock down, which she had never seen around here before, though she had heard about it.

" So, Pretty Boy, what did you do to get in so much trouble? Try to pick a fight, did ya? "

That smirk of hers.. it was almost mocking. Her tail flicked playfully back and forth behind her. She was already beginning to enjoy herself.

"Ah! So this is how you make a smoothie? I always wondered how it was done. It always seemed nearly impossible to me, I thought they used a powder or something...." He watched as she poured some honey into the mix, curious as to why she did so. Maybe as a sweetener.... but it was a sticky thing, there might have been another reason because of it.

He jumped back as the blender began to work it's magic, "W-woah! That's.... that's so weird!" He quickly put the glasses on the counter and watched as all the ingredients mixed, his eyes filled with wonder and excitement. How was it able to do that? It was spinning around and around, he figured that would be good for mixing liquids but... solid fruits? It was just beyond him, as he never really got a look as to where the blades were, or if there even were blades. He was able to smell the individual ingredients at one point, but now it was all meshed together. It smelled... great! It was all together yet obvious as to what was in it, from the milk to the fruit to the honey... he could smell it all. He looked back at Alana and said, "The people of this world come up with these things? How creative!" a smile was on his face, enjoying the new technology.

Yuuki smelled smoothies. "smoothies?" She murmered. Yuuki walked slowly down the isle of slaves. She did feel alittle sad but hell. Smoothies. c'mon...SMOOTHIES!! She did have a fun and loud side of her but she rarely let it out. She opened the door to the kitchen and saw two other people in it. "oh..Uh...Sorry..." She apoligized blushing. She Smiled just to pull off the ~Im cute and i hope you dont mind~ Trick. She just waited for a respond glancing at the smoothies.
