tab As the class continued, Joan continued to sketch. The sketches were dark and memories from hell. She had a nightmare before and by drawing and sketching she let the images live her for at least another day. As class ended she closed the sketch book and slid it and her pencil back in her messenger bag. Standing up she put the bag on her shoulder and began to make her way to the door.

tab Joan couldn't help but make notes of her classmates. Who they interacted with. Two boys seemed to have a history. From just listening she picked up one was Sammy and the other Dean. Their interaction seemed to lean toward siblings so she wrote it off as that. Then there were two girls. She caught the name Charlie but didn't catch the name of the other girl. But there was one thing that was certain. Charlie wasn't comfortable about something.

tab 'Just keep walking,' she told herself as she almost got to the door and heard the other girl mention something about a ghost. This made Joan stop. She knew there were hauntings but not that anyone could and was talking to them. This made Joan a little worried. Ghosts were strange. Some could see demons and the last thing she wanted was to be rated out. After hearing this she stopped. She decided to help the poor Charile who seemed unconformtable and to see if the other girl could see her.

tab Walking up to Charlie, Joan wraped her arm losely around her and pulled her a little close. She knew that would make Charlie even more unfortable but it might get the other girl to leave. "A ghost huh?" Joan said looking at Lily, her hand now resting on Charlie's hip. "Aren't we a little old for ghost stories?" Joan tried to give off the vibe that she and Charlie were an item. Though she knew nothing about Charlie at all.

Charlie was startled, a ghost what the hell, not that she had completely written off the possibility of a ghosts, but in all honestly she still hadn't gotten over the girls Freudian slip of 'ride me'.

"Aren't we a little old for ghost stories?"

The phrase had hardly left the girl's lips before Charlie had realized she was touching her, a hand on her hip. Her eye's widened and she glanced up, she remembered this one, Joan she had said her name was. She was gorgeous, Charlie glanced again down toward her phone as it buzzed, if she was gonna get lunch, she had about 2 hours to get to work at this point.

She couldn't help but let a small smile play on her own lips even as she felt her ears flush red. She hadn't felt this many butterflies in her stomach since high school. To be honest the whole world could probably feel and hear her heart race.

She looked at Joan, then at...Lily? was her name Lily? she wasn't sure. What she was sure of was her throat closing and her head getting at fuzzy as Joan held her hip and confronted Lily.

Lily lifted a brow at a girl. "I know when I'm crazy."

Where did she come from? She wasn't there a minute ago.

Good work, you're creepy everyone. Lily braced herself to called 'insane' and 'lunatic.' Same meaning different form of insults. This is what she got for tell the truth. It wasn't bad but an pain.

"Sorry, I made things...awkward." She quickly left for work, mentally smacking herself.

"Ready to go?" Taylor asked.

"Yeah."

"Weird day? They know...?"

"I'm an idiot." She nodded as they climbed in. It was awkward, and she wasn't trying to flirt.

At first Sam was just stunned that Dean had made first contact, since he'd never been the cuddly type. He barely noticed the childish nickname, grumbling as Dean hugged him close. "It's Sam, not Sammy. I'm not a kid anymore, remember?" He slowly relaxed, looping an arm around his brother and squeezing him in return. "Its just...I could have set up the bedroom for you back at the house if I'd had advance warning." A slow smile returned, though he was reluctant to let go. He glanced around at the girls nearby, stepping back to make way for 'Red'. He hadn't even noticed the others when he was busy studying. Then his eyebrow quirked upwards. "A better question is, are you here to study? Never would have thought I'd see you in a place of education." His grin widened, emphasizing the word study, as if he was totally shocked, but was really just being dramatic.

His hands slowly tensed at his side before relaxing again. He had the urge to just latch onto Dean like they used to when they were kids. They were a lot closer then, before his older brother had decided to follow thier dad into the military, like a good little soldier. He wasn't sure if he should be jealous that Dean had apparently come to visit these two girls, or if he was making it up, and why would he? Why not tell Sam he was visiting? Maybe the embarrassment of being spotted in school, a very unlikely place for Dean Winchester. "I'm just...happy to see you, Dean. What are you studying? How long are you staying?" He put on those puppy dog eyes that he tended to save for gazing adoringly at his big tough brother. He really was happy to see Dean, just was unsure if there was something going on.

tab Joan couldn't help but chuckle a little as Lily said "I know when I'm crazy." before she left. Humans... they didn't know true insanity. Those that did ended up like her. Twisted into demons doing the bidding's of hell. She let Lily leave and then stepped away from Charlieas she watched her blush. She was beautiful blushing but Charlie kept herself from reacting much to it. Joan noticed Charlie's phone went off to a couple times.

tab "I'm guessing you need to get some where," Joan said as she let go of Charlies waste and started to respect personal space. "Sorry if I over stepped my bounds. You seemed like you were uncomfortable." Joan silently chuckled to herself. Though she was seen as a knight long ago she had not received any formal training. Though she was now a demon she was a knight of sorts. A demon knight. "That seemed like the best idea at that moment." Joan laughed a little and rubbed the back of her head. What she did might not had been the best thing to do but it was the first thing she thought of.

tab Joan looked over at the two boys left. She had wanted to pass out some business cards but it seemed that all but two escaped. 'Oh well ,' she thought as she reached into the outer pocket of her messenger bag and pulled out three business cards. Her boss had tossed her some as she left that morning. "Pandora's Box" was a discreetly hidden Gentleman's club that was located near the campus. It tend to cater to the college students. This lead to the problem of a slow summer and rotating usuals. But she was the best girl there and kept the crowds, the least she could do was keep people coming in. That also distracted the owner from making passes at her.

tab Joan took Charlies blushing as Charlie being at least bi like her. Charlie was cute and easy on the eyes and did fit her taste. But she wasn't going to sink her claws in just yet. Joan liked to at least get to know someone a little bit before she tried to sleep with them. She took a card wrote her number on the back of it and slid it into Charlie's hand. "Have a good day, " Joan said as she let Charlie leave on her own. She walked over to Sam and Dean.

tab "Hello boys," She simply said handing them both a card. "I'm guessing you two are new around here cause I've really never seen you before. Just thought you guys Might like some after school activities. " Joan gave a quick wink before turning making sure she gave an exaggerated wiggle of her hips to catch their attention as she headed out the class room.

Charlie glanced down at the card and watched as Joan left. She looked and cocked her head to one side as she watched Joan shake her hips. She looked over the card once more and hummed softly as she grabbed her bag and scooted past Sam and Dean and then skipped and might have done a heel click she wasn't sure, she was just too giddy.

The sun was bright as it beat down on her and she walked across the quad. She decided to treat herself and walked over to the coffee shop on campus. When she arrived, she ordered her lunch, a coffee and a sandwich that they had advertised, and she sat down at a booth. Then it hit her, she actually had thought of a happy thought to write about. So she pulled out her paper and began to write.

It was a rainy night, the rain was hitting hard against the window of my bedroom. Lightning flashed,
One
Two
Three
BOOM
I hid underneath my blankets and screamed holding my ears closed. Thats when my mother walked in and asked for me, "Charlie?" her voice was soft, I poked my head from underneath the blanket tears on the brim of flowing. My mother sat next to me, patting my head, the room lit up again and the thunder crashed and I returned to underneath the covers, that's when she started to read.

That was the closest Charlie to conjure for a happy memory. But her number had been called out so she went to receive her coffee and lunch. She sighed heavily, planning on going to see Joan at the Pandora's Box after work.

She just realized she left her notebook in class. Lucky, if the professor hasn't left yet, she would be able to get it.

Walking up to Sam and Dean, Lily looked away from Joan as she passed her. Part of it was out of embarrassment for herself, usually she didn't act this way. Then again, she was going to have to face Sam again. She wasn't much of a flirt but he was cute.

"Hey, sorry if...I acted strange...." She told three of them. "Anyhow, I'm just going to get something I left in class."

It turned out work didn't need her after all. They found someone else after hearing about the amount of sleep she's been getting from one of her co-workers.

xxxDean couldn't help but chuckle at Sam's response to his nickname, he knew damn well that the man didn't care for it. But whether he liked it or not Sam was always going to be that snot nosed kid he had taken care of. Dean doubted if there was anything that was going to change his mind on that subject. Especially after these last couple tours; because it had been that snot nosed kid that gave Dean the strength and willpower he needed to make it back."That would have ruined the surprise." He began, "I was imagining more women, a couple of beers...the whole nine yards." Dean laughed once more but it wasn't full as the same mirth as before; Sammy wasn't too far off. Dean was never really into the whole 'education' spiel. That was most definitely Sammy's forte, he barely made it through high school and took the easy way out of continuing down the path by enlisting.

xxxDean lightly punched Sam in the shoulder and scowled, "Don't you dare get all emotional on me. To answer your question, Military Science or something along those lines. Minoring In Chem." He then turned his attention to the duo-toned female who created somewhat of a scene when she finally made it to class. He took the card and glanced it over before appreciating the view and turning to his brother. "Sammy boy, I think I am in love." The woman was like a gift from God, sure the name was a little creepy but booze, chicks and man. This was the life. "You were trying to keep me from all this weren't you?He joked, "You sly sly fox you. This has to be the most amazing thing that had happened to him, not only had he, er they been invited to what one could only consider heaven on earth. But the freaking password had the word PIE in it.

xxxThen before he could make a retreat out of the class Lavender, he hadn't been paying enough attention to pick up anyone's name honestly, returned. "No harm, no foul." He pointed back over to his brother. "Sammy here was just about to show me the chow hall, feel free to join us." Honestly he wouldn't have minded going back to his room and hiding out there, that had been his plan...but things change and frankly if he went back to his room he was going to focus on that stupid assignment they had been issued. This was supposed to be a sort of way for him to reintegrate back into the civilian world...not throw him back into the chaos he was choosing to avoid.

Sam blinked at the card he was handed, giving a small wave to Joan as she left. It might not be a bad idea to have a night out, and get to know some of the other students who might be attending.

Sam pouted like a kid, still a little put out that Dean hadn't announced his visit. He sighed. "I guess it wasn't such a bad surprise." He shook his head, thinking over his past few semesters. He'd never really been the type to go to the dorm parties. Almost always hiding in his room studying, rarely peeking out even when his friends tried to get him to come out and join them. "Its...not really a big party college. Not that I've noticed. I mean. I haven't been to the parties if there are any. Busy studying, you know. I even have a proper job, to help pay for these classes. My scholarship is only going to last the first year. School is important to me." Though he wasn't taking the most academic classes, he was still determined to do well. He glanced down at the painting he'd been clutching at his side, and brought it around front to show Dean. "I've been taking art history and painting. Its really relaxing, working on something beautiful and creative." His voice lowered at the last sentence, feeling a little embarrassed to be taking classes that were less productive than Science and Chemistry.

"So, all in all, I guess I couldn't hide the partying from you, since I didn't know what I was missing either. But hey, why don't we have a nice night out to celebrate your return?" He held up the card about Joan's club with a grin. "It's only Monday, we'll have plenty of time to finish those essays by the end of the week."

He looked up at hearing a girl rush back into the room, and shrugged, not having paid much attention to her in the first place, or after he heard the girls talking about ghosts earlier. It was total nonsense. No such thing. He gave Dean a pointed looked, trying not to sigh. To be honest, he really just wanted to catch up with his brother. Alone. "I really need to unpack and organize my room back at the dorms. I was thinking of just grabbing a sandwich and heading back to eat." He smiled apologetically at Lily before placing a hand on Dean's shoulder, nudging him towards the door. "Maybe we'll see you next class." He finally let out the sigh he had been holding in as he led Dean down the hall towards the cafeteria.

It was more than just a boring lunch room. It was a lounge, with big indoor firepit in the middle. Comfortable couches and chairs sat around tables. Every table came with a few power outlets for laptops. There were even a few private cubicles around the edge for studying. "The food here is actually pretty good. They brought in a few local restaurants." He pointed out a pizza place, a coffee stand, even a burger place, not to mention the healthy eating corner stocked with sandwiches and salads. Sam beelined for the health food cart, having let go of Dean once they'd escaped the classroom.

xxxDean had just gotten around to shoving the card in his back pocket when he noted Sam pouting,"Damn right it wasn't a bad surprise." Honestly if Sam had mentioned him being more of a party animal than the study-kid that Dean knew him as, he would have been shocked. Sam had always been more interested in this sort of thing, way more so than Dean had. And in a sense that made the older sibling happy, Sam was content and happy living the he wanted...which was more than enough for the older brother. He honestly was still trying to wrap his mind around how on earth he was going to make it these next couple of years, he had been running from this 'educational lifestyle' for so long and had learned to do so many other things-- it was going to be challenging, if nothing else. "History and painting? So I take it you are well past my stage of stick figures then?" Dean smirked. "You shall forever be on my team for Pictionary."

xxxHe had just forgotten about the stupid essay by the time Sam brought it back up and frowned. "Don't remind me, am I to expect homework from all my classes on the first day college boy?" That was going to prove to be trying, but he'd think of something. He always did, even if it meant bringing up memories that Sammy over there may not be able to recall anymore. It was just a matter of which one, how far back and how much he was willing to share. Sharing was not in Dean's character, especially not to those he didn't know. As far as he was concerned there was no reason for him to need to know anything more than if you were able to shoot the thing in front of you. And when it came to those who weren't in the service as well, or not members of his small family you'd be lucky to get his real name out of him. "Food always sounds great to me." Dean was doing his best not to laugh at the look Sam gave him, even more so when his brother practically escorted him out of the room. "Catch ya on the other side!"

xxxThe walk to the chow hall wasn't a long one and Dean had to admit he was surprised at just how massive the building was. There was just about a little of everything; it was heaven as far as Dean was concerned. If he had this to look forward to everyday during lunch and possibly breakfast and dinner, he could very well see himself bunking out in here. "I haven't had a burger in ages." His stomach was leading his search from the moment the delicious smell of greasy cheeseburgers hit his nose, one minute he was next to his brother the next he was standing in front of man with a carry out tray ordering three burgers and a large helping of fries. It didn't take him long to find his obnoxiously larger than him brother out in the crowd, over by the rabbit food."Still into that Rabbit Food I see." Had Dean known where exactly Sams room was, he would have just gone straight there and met him. But, he didn't and had no intentions of getting lost in this place once again. He wasn't even quite sure if he could remember how to get to his room, when he actually stopped to think about it. That could very well cause problems in the near future, but he'd cross that bridge when he got there. For the time being he had a younger brother to catch up with, a party to hit up and an essay to write.

Sam could smell his brother coming up behind him just from the scent of the burgers. He wrinked his nose, a small grin forming on his face. "How else do you think I keep up my girlish figure?" He chuckled as he turned, one hand on his hip, and in his other hand, he'd balanced a sandwich on top of a salad, posing proudly. "Seriously, its good for you. The freshman fifteen would have hit me hard if I hadn't been eating healthy. Once you settle into college, you'll find yourself sitting around studying, and not getting as much exercise as you used to." He combed his hair back, charming smile included, and thus concluded his short lived modeling career. "With all the hardcore training I imagine you've been doing, it might even feel too quiet to just sit around."

The younger Winchester led the way to the cashiers, where he picked up a bottled green tea soda and paid for his lunch. He waited for Dean before heading off in the direction of his dorms. "Where are you staying? Do you remember which dorm building?" He turned and nudged the door open with his side, balancing his food in one arm, his painting in the other. Once outside, he sighed happily. He'd always rather be out in the fresh air, it always made him happier than being stuffed up inside. He rambled on, "Do you have a roommate? They haven't put anyone with me yet. If you haven't settled in yet...maybe...do you want to share my room? There's plenty of space for two. When I got there, it had two desks and a queen size bed. Maybe two close friends stayed there before me. I'm sure they wouldn't mind transferring you. Once we're settled in, I could show you around the rest of the campus." He shrugged, silently hoping his brother would take the offer. It'd be like when they were young, with sleepovers. And eating junk food. And watching movies. Except there would be beer and R-rated movies and well....who knows what could happen.

Charlie thought she saw the two boys from class who were having a standoff before she left, but she just shook her head wanting to ignore them, but the smaller one...Dean she thought his name was, was too interesting to ignore, and the taller one, Sammy, seemed sweet enough as well, she stared at her completed essay and shrugged tucking it into her bag. She went home only to find a message saying that work was over crowded and that she didn't have to come in today as well. It was almost as if fate wanted her to go to the club tonight.

Her dorm was a small one, and she had no roommate, she made sure of that. She wanted a single because she was kind enough to make sure that no girls were uncomfortable around her. So she kept her room tidy. Except for her desk which was filled with technology. She threw her bag onto her bed and stretched, then grabbed a smaller bag, she wanted to explore the campus some more before the night hit and the action started.

She stepped onto the quad with her coffee cup and her hair pinned up in a ponytail and checked her phone, the buzzing was from her friend, asking her if she wanted to go LARP with them. She shrugged and responded with a quick maybe as she passed the Winchester brothers.

Take your breath 'til nothing's left.
Scars of life upon your chest.
And I know wherever it goes

tab After leaving the class room Joan returned to her dorm room. She had been lucky that her other to classes had been canceled do to them being taught by the same professor who had gotten held up in customs returning from a out of country conference. By being a history major the classes tended to be taught by the same professor considering that History departments were downsizing due to them not being seen as a high major any more. On her way back to her room she had went by the cafeteria but made no mind to it. She rarely ate and when she did she was picky about it.

tab Dropping her bag at the door she looked at the clock. It was still early in the day taking advantage of this Joan decided to take a nap. Kicking her shoes off she flopped down on her bed and started to dose off when her phone started to ring. Sitting up she looked at the phone. It was one of the girls from Pandora's. By being Pandora she was basically the mother hen and mentor for the new girls. The new girl was calling was a special case. The girl had just recently moved to take classes here and had moved two months earlier to get away from a crazy ex. Joan answered the phone but before she could say hello the girl began to talk.

tab "Joan he's here!" the girl spat out in fear. Joan could hear the sound of a large crowed around her. She was talking just loud enough to be heard over the phone. "Calm down Alicia," Joan said getting up off the bed slipping into her shoes just incase she needed to run. "Who is here?" "Johnathan" the girl said the fear growing in her voice. "He was in the parking lot when I went to my car to get my books for next class." Joan sworn a little in french it rolling off the tounge with ease. "Where are you now?"

tab Joan had already headed out the door and started her way down the stairs of her dorm. The elevator would have only taken longer then she wanted. "I did what you told me if he ever showed up.... I came to the cafeteria... I went where there was people" "I'll be right there. Are you sure he followed you." Joan kept for swearing again as she remembered that the dining hall was basically open to the public. No student Id needed. "I'm sure he did Joan... What do I do?" "Move to where I can find you quickly. Stand by the fire pit. And stay as calm as you can."

tab Alicia gulped a little bit as she looked into the crowed of people. Alicia was a small girl in stature and was healthy. She wore her hair in high pony tails. She did that alot be caught of her baby face. It was kind of her thing. "He.... saw me again" Johnathan was kind of hard to miss. He was the text book definition of bad boy. Random tattoos. Alicia had fallen for him like many others that had before but unlike the others she broke up with him before he was done using her. Joan kicked open the door to the outside stairwell of the dorm and ran full sprint hoping she would get to Alicia before Johnathan did.
