Welcome to Gaia! ::

((I have to leave for about an hour, sorry!))
(titherina, how long have you been Percy? This is going to be fun...I'm still not back, sorry....I finally got a chance to jump online and check up on things. Soon though. I should be back to semi-regular access to the internet as of monday...and I'll be on and off today and tomorrow morning.

So what's going on?)

Penny was in the library pouring over her arithmancy book for what felt like the five hundreth time. This concept just wouldn't fit into her brain, no matter what she did. Penny sighed. She didn't like it when she couldn't understand something.

A loud crashing sound issued from behind her, and Penny jumped almost out of her chair. She stood up and went towards the noise, rounding the corner at the same time Madam Pince appeared from the other direction.

"Miss Clearwater--" He tone was accusatory at best.

"It wasn't me, Madam Pince." Penny cut her off. She had always been on decent terms with the librarian, and didn't want that to change. "It came from that far corner, I think." The two of them rounded the next corner together to find a pair of first year hufflepuffs and a toppled bookcase.

Penny sighed, and watched in an almost bemused way as Madam Pince set about disciplining the two of them. "Repairo," Penny said, pointing her holly wand at the bookcase. She then got down on her knees and began gathering books--she found levitation spells a bit pointless at times like this one.

The disruption did give her a good excuse to tuck her book back into her bag and go for a walk--maybe she would be able to look at it in a new way after a stroll around the lake.

And maybe a certain Gryffindor prefect would join her.

((I don't want to post anything for hermione until I know what's going on...))
"Haven't seen him, sorry," George said, furrowing his brow. "I'm guessing someone in the dorms'll find him and fall in love with him as I have." He sighed mockingly, a fake pout dominating his features.
Fred raised his goblet high. "To the house-elves, who made this delicious food." Jinxy began to sob uncontrollably at this thanks, and a few other elves looked teary. "To George, for keeping me in line today." He tilted his goblet in his brother's direction, inclining his head and smiling. "And to good friends." George raised his goblet as well, clinking it cheerfully with Fred's and the girls' in return, then took a long drink.
"To Fred, for forgiving a fool and making sure I didn't reduce the female population today," grinned George, taking another swig.

((I just took Percy today. I thought he would be fun.^^))

Annalysse looked blankly at Jazz. "Who, or what is Egg?" She asked. In her mind she was seeing a regular chicken egg, or a chicken. "Is egg a brother of yours?" She frowned as she took a bite of her roll.

Percy walked toward the library, having just told off a random first year for trying to do magic in the halls. His face brightened as he saw Penelope walking out of it. "Hello Penelope!" He called. "You out for a walk? Care if I join you?" He asked, knowing full well she'd be glad. "How did your first day go? Mine went rather well." He smirked. "I must say though, that this year's batch of first years is quite immature." He scowled at the thought. Nonetheless, he took Penelope's hand in his own.

Anna took a gulp of her wine from the toast, her face beet red at the mention of 'good friends.' She smiled though. "You two must have had quite a day." She said. She shook her head. "I had quite the evening." She mumbled to herself, remembering her nightmare all over again. She frowned suddenly and looked down at her food. She was dreading going back to sleep tonight. She was afraid that she would have another nightmare.
((so we're at the end of first day of classes, then?))

"Hello, Perce. Of course you can join me." Penny smiled and tossed her long dark hair, just enough for the sun to catch it. "my day was alright. Arithmancy is killing me. Some of the concepts this year...." She sighed. "And it's only the first day."

"And don't get me started on the first years. a pair just toppled a bookcase in the library, I think Pince is going to string them both up by ther inards....They'll learn to follow her rules soon enough."

They had reached the entry hall and were heading for the door. "How was your day, Perce?"
"Is it possible that you two are reincarnations of House Elf kings?" Jazz was struggling to hold herself from laughing at the elves' reactions. She held up her goblet to the twin's and sipped from it, she wasn't big on wine and certainly didn't need to get tipsy. She frowned lightly, she felt like an outcast here, apparently being two years younger than the people you choose to hang out with isn't really a good thing. Jazz gave up on her turkey, she was as stuffed as a pinàta, thankfully not as bloated as one.

"Egg is my pet...cat." Jazz got worse everytime she lied about Egg's species. She studied Anna, was she one of the girl's that liked George? "I think I might head back to the Common Room soon, I don't want to get caught by your brother." Jazz looked to the twins, a face that said something like "How is he even related to you?".

"I hope those first years earn themselves a detention." Percy said. "I should be the one to hand it out, should I ever come across them." He added pompously. "Of course my day went well. A bit long and dull to be honest. I couldn't keep my mind on the courses. I acutally kept thinking about spending time with you." He admitted. As much as Percy knew he was boring, Penelope was the one person in his life that brought fun. He enjoyed every minute of being with her, and he told her so.
Snape set the parchments on top of his returned books. Probably wrote too much…overachieving just like Granger, he thought, though he refrained from comment. “You had mentioned an interest in healing potions,” he replied to Lyn. “That covers quite a broad area - broad enough for years’ worth of study, let alone just this term. I’d suggest you start there. I may have a specific project for you soon,” Snape added, thinking again on his own long-term extracurricular projects. “These studies are for your benefit, so study what you like -- within reason,” he added quickly with a hard stare.

He looked again at all of the vials and bottles and bags she’d brought with her. “If you intend to work tonight, you’ll have to do it here in my office. Not on the desk, however. I'll be in the classroom, which will shortly be occupied. I’m expecting…another student.” And indeed he thought he heard the creaking Potions room door.
"Don't go, stay and party," said Fred slyly, patting his shirt pocket with a wry smile. "You forgot that we can evade the prat with at least a floor between us... that's if you're talking about Percy. Ron, well, he's not a prat, but a stupid git for flying that car."
"And it's not like Perce'd really care..." began George.
"There are still people in the Great Hall eating." George looked over at Anna, worried.
"We had a rough day," he said slowly.
"But the wine has brought out the best in us!" they said together, Fred a little too loudly, swaying a bit on the spot. George steadied his brother, grinning as he looked from Anna to Jazz. Meh, Jazz was okay.
Penny smiled. When she first began spending time with Percy, his sweet side had been a delightful suprise to her. It still made her flutter a bit whenever he said something sweet. "Well," she said, moving to take his hand as they crossed the lawn, "We haven't seen each other all holiday." She tucked herself in closer to him. "And I missed you too."

Anna giggled at Fred. "Can't hold your wine, can you?" She asked. She took another sip and felt her face flushing. She knew this time it was the wine getting the better of her. "Ah well," She said. "I suppose it's no big deal if we hang out here for awhile longer. I don't think any of us are in condition to go walking around." She burst into another bout of giggles, fully aware that Fred and George were really close to her.

Percy thrust his chest out as he beamed. No doubt he was showing off his prefect badge. "I promise you that I'll make as much time as possible for you this year." He dropped her hand, and instead wrapped his arms around her from behind. Everything else disappeared. Suddenly rules didn't matter so much to him. He was with Penelope. Nothing else needed to matter.
"I'll stay, but if you get drunk and can't make it back to the common room, do not expect me to carry you." Jazz was loosening up a bit, especially since the twins were returning to their normal, joyous selves. "Alright then, if we're going to be here for a while we need something to do, we can't just drink, that's boring." Jazz was going to remain as sober as she could, even though she had began to drink more wine.

Jazz started to burst out in laughter, she was clearly the only one that could still walk and to her, the others were very entertaining. "How much have you drank?" She looked to Fred, still giggling, he was tipping all over the place.

Anna waved her hand dismissively. "I'm not that drunk." She said. "Don't worry about me. But you're right, drinking does tend to get old." Her face suddenly lit up, and with more gusto than she ever would have imagined herself to have, she turned to George. "Hey, I was wondering. The first Hogsmeade trip, do you want to go with me?" After she said that, she covered her mouth up in fright. She had not meant to blurt that out.
