Lynette Fay had seated herself with three other people she did not know, why she had no idea. Because of her “mistake” she now had an opportunity to read the Potions book her father had given her,
Dark Potions of the 1600’s, a thick, heavy, leather-bound book. She murmured the words quietly as she deciphered the old text that had been hand written. Sitting in her lap was a tiny Himalayan cat (
x), Thanatos, who watched out the window. Lynette scratched behind Thanatos’s ear as she batted at Lynette hair hanging over the book, sighing. Book marking a section of the old book was her Hogsmeade permission slip, signed and ready to be given to Professor Snape, her Head of House.
As Lynette finished a chapter she closed the book shut carefully and climbed up, putting the book inside of her trunk. She sat back down and scooped Thanatos up, petting her. Lynette stared blankly out the window, apparently deep in thought. Every once in a while she would look at one of the other occupants of the car, looking at the blonde haired girl carefully. Lynette almost asked what the radish earrings were for, but caught herself last minute.
