Introduction

It has been three years since the conclusion of the 7th Gunpla Battle World Championship. Following the rediscovery of the Plavsky Particle and the Yajima Conglomerate's acquisition of PPSE and all of its assets, Gunpla Battling has entered a new era of excitement. Although the World Tournament is still open to only single participants or Gunpla Builder and Fighter duos, many new modes of play have been introduced, and the Yajima Conglomerate's Engineering division, with input from the "Early Genius" Nils Nielsen and several other famous Gunpla Builders and Fighters such as Ricardo Fellini and Sei Iori, have improved upon the Gunpla Battle System made by PPSE, introducing the concept of "Damage Levels", which can limit the damage done to Gunpla in a battle, making the sport far more budget-friendly to veterans and newcomers alike.

Now, the 10th Gunpla Battle World Championship is fast approaching, and speculation as to who will take home the first place trophy has begun; will Sei Iori win his third Championship in a row? Will Meijin Kawaguchi III end his rival's winning streak, or will someone else surpass all expectations and take First Place?

It could be anyone, even you! But the only way to be sure is to get out there and battle!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

• This roleplay is set three years after the conclusion of the 7th Gunpla Battle World Championship in Gundam Build Fighters, and four years before the beginning of Gundam Build Fighters Try. All events detailed in Gundam Build Fighters Try as occurring BEFORE or AFTER the 10th World Gunpla Battle Championship are considered canon.
  
• Please allow a minimum of ONE WEEK for the RP Moderators to review your character application. If it has been longer than a week, please contact us, as there is always the possibility of your application being lost in the moderator's inbox.
  
• This RP, in accordance with Gaia's TOS, is rated PG-13.
  
• TO ALL NEW PLAYERS; please send no more than one or two character profiles if you wish to join the RP. If you wish to make more characters, please wait a minimum of 1-2 weeks before making a new character profile. There is no upper limit to how many characters any one player can have, but it is recommended you only make as many characters that you are sure you can handle.
  
• We do NOT accept profiles from players without a post history. No post history, no admittance. Our moderators reserve the right to allow or deny players based on the frequency of and trend of their posts, and how they act outside of a roleplay setting. The reason behind this rule is because we wish for players to not feel left behind or uninvolved, and also because this RP is meant to promote a peaceful community between players.
  
• Please be sure to carefully review the rules before creating characters and posting in the RP.

Rules of the Roleplay

General Rules

• This Roleplay is rated PG-13 and we try and keep it that way and such! Please also follow Gaia TOS Rules and the Rules of the Roleplay when it comes to post content and pictures of characters
  
• This is a SEMI-LIT ROLE PLAY. This means that you need to write more than 4-5 lines. However, if it is unavoidable, please put the (WB) at the end of your post so we know. Please do not make a habit of this.
  
• Romance is allowed in this roleplay. However, Cybering is not allowed.
  
  - The type of romances permitted in this Roleplay are yaoi, yuri, and heterosexual.
  
  
• All OOC messages must be posted in the OOC thread and not as a post on the main RP forum. If it is something simple or important, you may include it in your characters post as a mini OOC message.
  
• The Rules of the Roleplay also apply to the OOC Boards. Please keep your post content PG-13. If a Moderator asks you to change or remove your post, please do so. Failure will result in a warning against you.
  
• Cursing is allowed in moderation. However, dependant on the type of character played, (Such as someone playing a character who is still in their early teens or adolescence) it is recommended that you limit and or censor your cursing whenever appropriate.
  
• Please be reasonable and patient. If a character does not post back right away, please wait until someone in that part posts back before posting again if you didn't receive a response. You do have the right to post something new to break a post lock that was experienced for more than 4-5 days. however, please do not abuse this as well. A message will be sent if abuse is reported and/or seen by the moderators. Please report if there is post locking in a Combat Situation*.

• Please try and keep up with posting. Our speeds vary due to the number of people, the number of characters (Main Characters, NPCs, etc.) and real life situations.
  
• Due to the nature of the situation, if you need to contact a player for a post, PLEASE CONTACT A MODERATOR Do not message the player directly, it is not allowed. You are to message a Moderator to have him/her contact the player. If a player is contacted by another and it is deemed unruly, we, the moderators, have the right to approach the player and may or may not issue a warning. A strike is warranted for multiple offenses.**
  
  **This also includes the following: Request for Post Edits, Request for a Post being Removed, etc.

(In other words, if it involves another player's post, contact a Mod.)

• Please let us know (in either a PM and/or on the OOC board) if you cannot post for a certain number of days due to real life situations. These would include School Projects, Tests, Medical Reasons of both personal or family, Emergency Situations, Vacations, Holidays, Extreme Weather, Power Outages, Etc. You don't have to go into great detail, but just a simple heads up is fine.
  
  - If you are in a fight/traveling, please try and coordinate with a player you trust to "ghost" your character along.
  
  
• We follow a 3 Strike System. If you receive 3 strikes, you will be asked to leave the roleplay. We do reserve the right to BLACKLIST a player if we find them to be rude regarding the rules or if we ask them to leave.

Characters/Combat/Template Rules

Character Rules

• NO GODMODDING!: This means that you have to be hit at some point or another and you have to take damage. No Auto Dodge or Auto Hit without permission. This means that you have to ask if you hit a character more than once in a big attack. Auto Kill is NOT ALLOWED WITHOUT PLAYER PERMISSION.
  
• Avoid post locking! If a player has not posted in a few days (3-4 Days), please message a Moderator and we will try and solve it! Please avoid multiple messages to the moderator. Do not message the player directly!

Template Rules

• We recommend that you post photos from Photobucket, but it is not a requirement.
  
• Post content must be legible; Font Sizes of 12 are recommended.
  
• Post Colors must be readable without the need to highlight the post text. If you have to squint to read it, then fix your post!
  
• Please put a Location section on your post so players know where your character(s) is at.

Combat Rules

• When participating in a Gunpla Battle, keep in mind that there are three levels of damage that can be set at the start of a Battle.
  
  - Damage Level C: The lowest level of damage, any and all damage to a Gunpla model in battle does not physically affect the model itself, leaving the Gunpla virtually undamaged after the battle is finished.
  - Damage Level B: The second Damage Level, and the most commonly used setting for most Gunpla Battles. Damage incurred during battle is translated into minor wear and/or scratches and parts being separated, but not damaged or broken. This is the Damage Level used during Regional Qualifiers for national tournaments.
  - Damage Level A: The highest level of Damage there is, all damage inflicted upon the Gunpla on this setting are completely transferred over, resulting in heavy damage such as warping of the plastic, noticeable cracks and gouges, heavy breakage, and in more severe cases, almost total disintegration of the Gunpla Model itself. This is the setting used during the Gunpla Battle World Tournament; when you play on this setting, you're playing for keeps!

Basic Combat Information:


There are three key things you need in a post where you attack:

• What the attack looks like
  
• Who you're aiming at, and will it hit bystanders if they are too close
  
• What kind of damage it does

When responding to an attack, you need to be equally as explicit as to how the damage is dodged/dealt. We really need to know because depending on the damage you take, your character's Gunpla might end up disabled or stopped in a fight.

So, three things to go in a response post:

• Thoughts on the attack, if any
  
• How attack was dealt/dodged, be explicit
  
• Counter attack, if any
  
• Finally, there's the issue of your Gunpla's "health". There is no such thing as a super awesome magical super chocolatey special super Gunpla that can dodge everything or last forever in a fight. There are a two key ways to keep track of your Gunpla's "health":
  
  - Keep a gauge in your posts
  - Do it in your head

There are people with super ridiculous level of memory and can keep track of an insane amount of plot details. No one is the best at something. They may be good at what they do, great even, but there is ALWAYS room for improvement. No one's Gunpla is untouchable or unbeatable; They can always be improved upon, but they are by no means invincible. The moderators are watching for that. Combat should run like an RPG; you take turns attacking, and you should wait for everyone to attack/counter/dodge/be defeated before you post again.

The Blacklist

This is the list of players who are permanently banned from the Gundam Build Fighters G Roleplay, not only from the current story arc, but any future arcs that may follow. Once they are on this list, there is no getting off. This also includes ANY alternate accounts. The people on this list are considered to be rule violators, trolls, and griefers.

Let's just take a moment and be glad that there is no one on this list as of yet. No one wants to be blacklisted, and no one likes having to put people on the blacklist. Just follow the rules, and everything should be just fine.

Locations

As both Gundam Build Fighters and its sequel, Gundam Build Fighters Try mainly takes place in Japan, many locations visited will be real world cities and locations, such as the Bandai Hobby Center in Shizuoka, or the Bandai Museum in Omocha no Machi. However, both shows have introduced places that are nonexistant in the real world, and it is those places that will be listed here in this post. For actual locations in Japan, please refer to this list of Cities in Japan HERE, which lists their cities and the prefectures that they are located in. Due to its large amount of cities that make up the prefecture, any specific locations found in the Tokyo metropolis (Such as Seiho Academy, for example) will be separated into the East, West, and Central Tokyo areas.

It had taken weeks to finish it, but his Gunpla was finally done. All that remained was to test it against others, and see how it stacked up. To a normal person, Yuudai Ishikawa had the appearance of a stone-faced young man, but to a Gunpla Battle veteran, one could easily tell he was a ball of nerves, and for good reason, too. As skilled of a Builder he was, Yuudai was not much of a Gunpla Fighter, which can prove detrimental to those who wish to enter National level Gunpla Battle tournaments, let alone the World Gunpla Battle Championship. The only remedy to such a glaring issue was simple; practice. So here he was, at the Hobby Shop in one of Japan's most popular shopping centers for Gunpla Battle enthusiasts and Gundam fans alike, G-Muse.As he wandered through the aisles upon aisles of Gunpla models and modeling supplies, his gaze drifted to the 4 hexes size Battle Field, where a battle between a pair of kids had finished; judging from the separated parts and wear on the models themselves, the Damage Level had to have at least been set to B. The models themselves weren't anything spectacular; just the basic model with custom paintjobs; no doubt done by their parents. Still, despite the outcome of the match, both kids were smiling and laughing, and congratulating each other on a good match. Yuudai couldn't help but smile; this was what the game was all about, no questions asked.

He looked down at his Gunpla, held gingerly in his hand, and brought it to about chest level. As much as he desired that kind of connection with someone else through this game, did he really have what it took to go all the way to the World Championships?

"Hey mister! That's a cool Gunpla you have there! Can we see it?"

Yuudai blinked, startled out of his reverie by the same pair of boys that had just finished their match, and looked at him, sparkly-eyed and expectant. Chuckling, Yuudai bent down, and held out his newest creation, the Boosted Delta Gundam, out for them to see.

"Like it? This model right here is gonna be the one to take me to the World Championship." Yuudai grinned; he couldn't help himself as he watched as the pair's gaze went from incredulous to mystified as they shifted their gaze from the Gunpla model, to Yuudai himself, and back to the model again. Clearly, his confidence in his Gunpla seemed to be winning them over... or at least he hoped it was the case.

Quin really wasn’t that competitive of an individual. He was more into building model kits, and fooling around in battle with the people at the family Hobby shop then anything. However, he had made a promise to meet her at the world tournament and thus…here he was, after fighting his way through the Canadian regional in order to meet with Seleste Hathaway - the girl who had gotten through the American regional. Though really, why did they travel all the way to Japan after all that? They were heading to the world tournament anyways, so why? Not that he’s complaining, they were in Japan after all! Think of all the gunpla and adventures to be had!

The boy let out a yawn as he stretched in the living room of their rented apartment. It was really lucky that they got this place with two rooms or…dear god, both their parents would maim him otherwise. The thought sent a shiver down his spine because, really, facing the wrath of one set of parents is more than enough, thank you very much! Though…

Quin stared at the closed door that leads to Seleste Hathaway’s room.

He thought they were gonna head out today.

Walking up to Seleste’s door, the boy flung himself to press his ear against the door before whining every so loudly to gain the girl’s attention.

“Sellllllllllllll, are we going out today? You said we were going out today to go look at gunplas. I wanna go look at gunplas…and maybe get some food. Actually, food sounds super good. I’m hungry. Sel, let’s go get food and go look at gunplas.”

The whining droned on.

Seleste had gotten up in the wee hours of the morning to figure out her daily activities. She found a few shops in the area, kept moving, found some breakfast, kept moving, and by about the point that she was certain that her roommate would be awake, she had been purchasing the cell phones he'd had his braided loudmouth plastered against a window for when they'd seen them on the way in. She could still remember his incessant begging even as the bags tussled in her hands. She ascended the stairs and as she reached the door, she heard the sound. She stopped at the handle, listening. So the puppy was hungry, was he? Too bad. She'd already found all the shops in the area to scope out the competition. They had work to do. She opened the door, walking in as if nothing were wrong. She took off her shoes at the doorway, and set the bags from her shopping adventure down on the counter. They could activate the phones after he stopped that.

"The door isn't your friend, Quin," she said simply. "We're in enemy territory right now and there's work to do."

Seleste had opened the door.

No, not her room door.

THE door. The one that leads outside.

The words repeated itself over and over in his head until it finally struck him that Seleste had went out without him this morning. At first, Quin had opened his mouth to say something but absolutely no sound came out for a good minute before that sound started. The high pitch whiny puppy sound that he only produces when something doesn’t go as planned (Seleste is usually the cause). He detached himself from his housemate’s door and swung himself at the girl.

The impact was nothing the girl couldn’t handle since Quin made sure not to topple her over. However, he did latch onto her and start complaining like a little brat though, “SEL, HOW COULD YOU! YOU PROMISED ME WE’D GO OUT TOGETHER TODAY. YOU LEFT WITHOUT ME! THAT’S NOT FAIR. SEELLLLLLL.”

Because of his…distress, the boy had completely missed the bags Seleste had placed on the ground beside her.

"Could you show us, mister?"

Yuudai blinked. Of course he couldn't simply tell them that he'd be able to make it to the World Championships with his Gunpla; he'd have to put his money where his mouth was. He'd have to actually prove it to them. Unfortunately, while his Gunpla was more than adequate, his piloting skills were utterly average, if that. Still, he'd dug himself this deep, so what was a few more feet? He sighed, and offered the pair a forced smile.

"Sure, why not?" he said, forcing a halfhearted chuckle. "I'll go ahead and set the Battle Field for Vs. CPU, since I'm not sure how well your Gunpla will be able to move after your match."

It seemed as though the two kids would protest, but a quick glance at their Gunpla, followed by their sighs of resignation confirmed his suspicions. Nodding, Yuudai pulled his GP Base from his pocket as the Battle Field stirred to life, a shimmering blue light filling the area as a computerized voice spoke.

"BEGINNING PLAVSKY PARTICLE DISPERSAL."

Yuudai watched as the particles that allowed Gunpla to move as they did in Gunpla Battles burst forth from the battlefield in a pillar of sparkling blue specks of light. Yuudai had no time to admire the spectacle as the Battle Field's computer spoke again.

"PLEASE, SET YOUR GP BASE."

Complying, Yuudai Set his GP base, and after his Builder, Fighter, and Gunpla info f;ashed across its screen, a prompt had popped up, asking what mode he wanted. Smiling, Yuudai selected the mode, and the Damage Level.

"CPU VERSUS MODE SELECTED. MODEL DAMAGE LEVEL SET TO C. PLEASE SET YOUR GUNPLA."

Setting the Boosted Delta Gundam onto the launching platform in front of the GP Base, Yuudai watched as the same bluish light that surrounded him washed over the Gunpla, and watched it stir to life, a green light flashing briefly from its visor, signalling that it was ready. Gripping the surprisingly solid holographic constructs that could will his Gunpla to move, he grit his teeth as the launch signal blared.

"Yuudai Ishikawa, Boosted Delta Gundam, LAUNCHING!"

As his Gunpla rocketed out of the launch gate, which disappeared behind him as soon as he had cleared it, the proximity alarmed whined as a large beam lanced out, forcing Yuudai to alter his course. Zooming in on the source of the blast, Yuudai frowned; of course it wouldn't be so easy. Facing him down was his computerized opponent; a near-perfect recreation of the Astray Blue Frame Second L, wielding its powerful Lohengrin Launcher. Not even a second after he'd caught sight of him, Yuudai's opponent split the powerful beam launcher apart, and rocketed ahead to meet him, its impressive Tactical Arms sword drawn and ready.

Yuudai sighed; if nothing else, the kids would get one hell of a show...
