´¯`´¯`Ғiэsτy Fąiяy´¯`´¯`

It's usually a bad case if someone turned up to something important on a rather later time. What would make the siutation worse would be if that person brought a lot of attention to his/herself. Right now the attention seemed barley cross the girl's mind when she came flying in on a flying Pokemon. The Pokemon she was riding was considered a rare Pokemon, but not one of the ultimates like Zapdos or Raikou.

Of course, with the some who saw the Pokemon in the distance knew what Pokemon it was, and dropped their mouths since they've either never seen it, or only heard so much about it. Who was riding on the dragon's back was someone who could not be etched out clearly from such a far distance. But, as the Pokemon came closer and to a hover, all the surrounding people (most of them) realised who it was. The one riding on the Dragonite's back was the famous Ginervra 'Ginny' Saito. Also known as the Fiesty Fairy, this girl won the Hoenn league and came in second in the Johto league. Ginny's known for her tactics as firey, fierce, and quick like a flying fairy. It was because of her battling style it landed her that nickname.

As she hopped off her Dragonite, she sighed to herself and then looked up at the dragon. "If we're late, I blame you...." Ginervra accused as she held her annoyed stare. Dragonite went from a gazey, calm demonar to a embarrassed and wanting to hide one after being held responsible for his trainer's lateness."You just had to go and stuff your face with all those berries. It really does make me wonder if your stomach is the replacement for your brain." Her Dragonite brought his arms up and covered his face in shame. Ginny, turning to smile, gave a gentle rub on the dragon's back as a sign he was forgiven, and that everything was all cool. "You're always gonna be loved, even if your stomach does take over most of the time." The flying Pokemon lifted his face from his arms, looked down at his trainer, and came over with a let loose smile.

Although concentrated on her Pokemon, many kids and adults were swarming around the trainer and her Dragonite. The swarm of both young and old were filled with fascination, excitement, and curiousity. They couldn't believe it was Ginny Saito in the flesh, and with one of her most powerful Pokemon. Many of the kids sprawled over each other to get closer and a better look. Too bad those kids were getting pissed off with one another, starting to bicker to get the top spot in front of the one and only Fiesty Fairy.

"Ahhheh.... Hey guys.... It's really nice to see you all, but I really need to get to a party." Hey, at least she was telling them the truth! The red head whipped out a Pokeball from her side, pointed it towards Dragonite, and a red beam came out that snucked him into the red and white sphere. But, with the massive room that was now open after the leaving of Dragonite's presence, more people toppled over to meet with Fiesty Fairy. This was something Ginervra definitely wanted to avoid, but she had to get here with one of the fastest Pokemon in the world. She hppened to have one of the fastest.

Although there was a bit of a struggle to escape from the loud swarm of the young and old, Ginny managed to escape with only a bruise to her forearm. It was nothing serious, but it did hurt just a bit. The bruise was the least of her worries, though.

Arriving in Hearthome a day late was something Ginny did not want in the first place. Although she was a bit annoyed not arriving on time, the Fairy was more pleased with having her Glaceon and Riachu healed after a really tough gym battle. The battle was most certainly intense, and it was quite a good one too. Both the Pokemon are back to having a clean bill of health.

"I wonder if I can find myself a date for this thing while I'm here." Ginny joked to herself, chuckling.

Night was beginning to fall onto the stage rather quickly. It's dangerous to be out in the open when night has draped the Earthly sky. Ginny looke up at the setting ball that kissed Hearthome as it got lower and lower into the horizon. Witnessing a sunset is quite a wonder to the human being. Humans should have at least be a witness to one or couple of sunsets in their lifetime.

The redhead began to walk into the deeper parts of Hearthome. The children running around in costumes and masks brought back some wonderful memories to the Fairy. Back in her neighborhood in Johto, there were so many festivals you needed extra fingers to count them. Ginny couldn't remember how many times she and her Riachu (when it was still a Pikachu) entered the Pokemon look alike contests that went on during the festivals. She won a couple times, but not as many times as this one kid who went by the name of Hammel.

While she continued to enjoy the livelyness of the party, the trainer took out a Pokemon from her pocket and threw it up in the air. "Ria, enjoy the familar fun!" Out came a electric mouse who doubled in size and weight of it's pre-evolved form, Pikachu. Her electric type came out with a questioned look on her face.

"Doesn't this party remind you of the old days, Ria?" Ginny asked with a giant grin on her face. The Pokemon looked around, top to bottom, left to right, all the way around through the streets of Hearthome. The white and pink sakura blossomed bow rose in height as the tail began to sway with giddy. "Ri, Ri!" That's the answer Ginny wanted to her from her very first Pokemon. It really was nice sharing some familar feelings with the Pokemon you shared it with. "Come on. Let's go take a look around some more."

The electric mouse gave an excited nod, soon taking the lead of her trainer, who caught up within seconds.

The music was playing. The air smelled sweet. People and pokemon alike were running around, enjoying the festival. Dion Larosk had arrived just in time. It had been a long journey from Snowpoint City, and after years of traveling, he had reached Hearthome. A smile was etched upon his features, glowing in the warm night. As he walked along the road, he saw trainers battling and talking. Some were dancing along to the music along with their pokemon. But there was a site ahead of him he could not ignore. He saw a young girl fly in on a Dragonite, landing and scolding it for something. But then she smiled and laughed and the Dragonite seemed to be happy. Dion's smile grew wider. Suddenly though, the girl was surrounded with people, apparently wanting to see something. The girl said something inaudible to them and then called the Dragonite back into its pokeball. She managed to slip away from the crowd and continue on her way.

Dion laughed and took a pokeball from his belt. He tapped it once and the pokeball grew to its normal size. He threw it up into the air and called out his first pokemon.

"Hey Mags! Come on out! You are gonna love this!"

The pokeball opened and a red beam came out, forming into the shape of Mags, and finally released her from the capsule. The pokeball fell back to the earth, empty, where Dion picked it up and replaced it on his belt. Mags, his Magby, was on the ground and she seemed to be happy, looking around at all the people. Dion knelt down and looked at her. He held out his hand, and when he did, Mags ran up his arm and sat on top of his head. He didn't burn. Mags controlled her fire. But only for him. If anyone else tried to perform the stunt he just did, they wouldn't find it very pleasant. Mags looked around at the festival, awe struck and excited at all the things around them. Dion couldn't help but laugh. He made his way along the road, seeing the red hair girl. He had only seen a Dragonite once on his journey, and even then, it was only a fleeting glance. The only reason he knew what it was, was because of books he had read on his trip across Sinnoh. He was curious to look at it.

"Excuse! Miss! The one with the Dragonite!! And the red hair!!"

Hopefully, she could hear him above all the hustle and bustle, but if not he would have to approach more and try again. Mags was too busy looking around to really notice anything. The festival had really seemed to captivate her. The light glow from the torches and the way the music floated between the people and buildings just seemed to soothe her. Dion was sweating slightly. He was still not used to the warm climate, even though he loved it so much more than his home town. Years and years of shoveling snow from your door would do that to a person. But he didn't care. The festival was too lively to have a little bit of sweat ruin his fun. Right now though, he wanted to meet this girl and her Dragonite. It was all a part of his journey.

hush! lana’s talking - - - - -✰

hugespacehere]Shouts, curses, and pain filled screams filled the humid air, on an isle that was normally frozen. The island’s ice had been melted, and was in puddles on the cracked ground that just screamed for relief from the heat. Soulful blue eyes looked backwards when a crash sounded from close by the figure, and the legendary bird pokemon sped up his get-away. If he couldn’t find shelter from the heat, or an ice block soon, he would have no choice but to stack his chasers. Articuno sent a strong gust of wind towards the ground, and if he could, would have smiled in triumph. His beloved island had a patch of ice on the ground, and if the pokemon could just get high enough, he might be able to send a gust strong enough to freeze the whole island, and stop the machines from tearing up more of his precious island. With that thought, Articuno swept up towards the heavens, and sent a beam of ice towards his chaser’s machines. One machine froze solid, while the other managed to evade the harmful attack. Articuno stopped its trek towards the heavens, and dived towards the machine, and cold look in the pokemon’s normally friendly and open eyes.

“I thought you said it wouldn’t attack!”

The pokemon fluffed his feathers and sent another beam towards the bottom of the machine. Normally, he prided his self on staying out of the human’s way. He did, just so happen, to be on an island in the middle of nowhere. Articuno zoomed back up to the top of the island. The bird pokemon seemed to take a deep breath, fluff up his feathers, and…

                                          - - - - - beep!

Lana shot out off the bed and landed in an undignified heap on the blue carpeted floor, covers tangled in the girl’s legs. “Ouch! a muffled groan sounded and a blue head popped off the floor, violet eyes flashing and glaring until they settled on the source of the beeping. Alarm clock. Must kill! Lana thought and made a move to go towards the alarm clock, and fell in a heap on the floor. After a few muttered curses and shouts, the blankets became untangled, and the girl lunged for the alarm clock again, successfully grabbing the contraption. Lana smiled slowly and threw the small machine at the wall, and smiled at the resounding thunk! it made when it met the hard wood. Lana rubbed the back of her head and then rubbed the sleepiness out of her violet eyes. Lana looked around her room and rubbed her head again. “Ah, great! That dream always leaves me confused.” Lana said to herself and walked over to her bedroom door, grabbed a silver robe from off of the hook, and tied it around herself. Lana slipped into her matching slippers and opened and closed the door, before going down the steps of her house and heading for the kitchen. That dream always made her jumpy and hyped up, like she was before a match. But, normally, after the match was over, the feeling would disappear, and she would slip back into her ‘princess mode’, as people she knew called it. Lana rolled her eyes and stepped into the kitchen, to be greeted by the smell of fresh coffee, and something sweet. Lana’s stepmother looked up, as if Lana’s legs controlled her eyes, and smiled brightly. “Lana darling! Come get some breakfast! I made sweet cinnamon rolls!” the woman said and Lana rolled her eyes.

As much as she loved the woman, her bright and cheerful demeanor that early in the morning made her gag. Lana checked the clock on the stove and groaned inwardly. It was almost three o’ clock. Almost. Lana sat down at the table and smiled once her stepmother placed a mug of coffee, cream and sugar, and a large, soppy, roll in front of her, with a packet of icing. She smiled her thanks to the woman again and looked up when she heard feet stomping down the stairs. In popped her father dressed for a workday and her little sister, Tina. Lana glared at the young girl and smiled at her father, before turning back to her coffee. Two scoops of sugar, and a scoop of cream later, Lana was in caffeine heaven. Her stepmother always made the best coffee. The coffee was strong enough to be good, weak enough so that she didn’t spit it out. Just perfect. Lana looked up again when her sister sat down across from her and rolled her eyes. The little monkey didn’t even have to do anything to her to make her pissed. Her sister seemed to be the only person who could get a reaction out of her, even if all she did was look at her wrong. Her normally cold exterior would melt, and out came the raging inferno that was Lana’s temper. Lana looked up again seconds later when the monkey, her sister, leaned over the table, and invaded her personal space.

“Lana! Why are you so mean? You didn’t even so hi to me!”

Lana closed her eyes and took a deep breath. The four year old really did grate her nerves, especially and 7:45 in the morning. Her high-pitched squeal never went away, even when she was talking regularly. Lana looked up again and smiled at the child. “Hello Tina. Can you get out of my face now?” she said and waited for the meltdown. Three…two…one…and…

“Mom! Lana’s being mean again!” came the high-pitched squeal.

The monkey never did disappoint. Lana looked up when her mother’s shadow loomed over her and Lana stood up quietly. She grabbed her plate and coffee, and headed towards her room again. “I know, I know, you’re going to tell me to go to my room if I can’t say anything nice. Why did I think today would be any different than any other day?” she said and climbed the steps to her room. Once she got there, she put her plate down on her nightstand, along with her mug of coffee, and walked towards her door, and grabbed the knob, fully intending to slam the door shut. She stopped and shut the door quietly, and went back to her lunch.

                                          - - - - - sticky fingers make disaster!

Once Lana finished her breakfast, she went to her closet and pouted slightly. All of her good clothes were packed away in the small bag she had. After the festival, she would be taking a two-week break away from her family. Lana smiled and sighed in bliss. It would just be her and her pokemon. Pure bliss! Lana looked into her closet with renewed hope and grabbed a black mini skirt, a blue shirt, a white camisole to go underneath it, and a black ribbon to tie her hair into a ponytail. Lana smiled once she completed her outfit and added some black sneakers to the ensemble. Perfect! Lana stepped out of her room, grabbed her poke balls from the kitchen counter, and turned around to face the calculated on her mother’s face. Lana sighed and put her arms down by her sides, and turned around slowly while her mother appraised her outfit. Once she got an affirmative nod, Lana trekked out of the house and into the street.

“Okay you guys, come on out! Lana called to the poke balls and shielded her eyes from all the different colored flashes that answered. Lana grabbed the individual poke balls from the ground and smiled as her pokemon yawned and stretched their limbs. “Are you guys ready for the festival?”Lana asked and smiled at all of the excited calls she got from her pokemon. Lana went over to her Beautifly, who lowered herself so that Lana could climb on. Once Lana and the rest of her pokemon were situated on the bug pokemon’s back, Beauty gave a powerful flap and they were off towards the festival. After about five minuets, the group landed in the heart of the festival. Lana glanced around and danced for joy inwardly at all of the smells and sights. Lana’s pokemon jumped off of Beauty’s back and danced around excitedly. They always had liked bright lights and exotic smells. Lana shook her head in amusement and got down off of the Beautifly’s back. Lana looked down at the sudden tugging on her skirt and smiled when she saw her Chimchar, Chimmy, tugging her with a pleading look on his face and looked over towards a stand when it pointed. She saw wall types of fruits and vegetables. Lana nodded and watched as the small pokemon went running over to the stand. She followed at a leisurely pace and stopped in front of the stand. “What do you want Chimmy?” Lana asked the pokemon and smiled when he pointed at a carrot.

“But miss, pokemon don’t eat our food.” the stand owner said with disgust and gulped when she leveled a cold glare at him. “I’m pretty sure I didn’t ask for your opinion. How about you you’re your mouth shut and leave me to my business. The way you are acting makes me think you don’t want money at all, so you won’t be getting it. Come on Chimmy, we’ll get you a carrot elsewhere.” Lana told the pokemon and smirked when the Chimchar sent a heated glare towards the stand owner. Lana picked the Chimchar up and walked towards the edges of the festival, where she knew pokeblocks and things of that nature would be available.

i have nothing to say,
now go away:
my location is irrelevant: walking away from the heart of the festival

Hearthome was just like New York City - there's so much hustle and bustle, bright lights, completely lovely, and exciting. With something like this going on around you, you can't help but get could in the excitement rush like everyone else. Ginny wasn't neccessarily the partying type, but it didn't hurt to have a good time once in a while. Besides, she was here for the party in Hearthome.

"I'm kinda hungry after that long trip here. What about you, Ria?" The redhead looked down at her electric Pokemon for answer. When it came to food, Ria would answer in the blink of an eye. It wasn't like her to be so delayed in answering a simple question, let alone being a food question. But when she was expecting an answer from her Pokemon, Ginny ended up looking in the direction her Riachu was.

The electric mouse didn't even meet with the red-head's contact. Her attention was in the opposite direction they were heading in. "What's got you, Ria?" Ginny asked again, trying to gain her partner's attention once more. Ria still did not make any effort in answering Ginny. She was just too focused on something that caught her attention at the opposite end of the street. When annoyance began to sink into the Fiesty Fairy, her ears caught hold of someone's voice who was trying to get her own attention.

Ginny looked over to scan the crowd for her was trying to call her out of hiding. "Riachu. Ria, Ria." Ria's paw pointed where she heard the calling first. Ginny squinted to scan the area more clearly for the mysterious person. Her Riachu was pointing to a young man, roughly around her age or so, with a Magby draped over his head. "So that's what you've been focusing all this time, Ria." The red-head was trying to figure out what this guy wanted to do with her, and just out of the blue too. Maybe it's some other fan who wants my autograph or something. She seemed to be creeped out about this guy being a fan. Why would someone like him be a fan of someone like her? Maybe he just wanted to ask her something, and not be about herself. Too bad that was usually the case with Ginny.

"Lets go. If we get this over and done with quickly enough, then the more time we have in getting something to eat, and have time to ourselves." Ginny shoved her hands into her pockets and began to make her way towards Dion and his Magby.

"Come on, Ria, before I leave you to be left in the crowd." The mouse Pokemon rushed to be at her trainer's side again, only to break down in tears when she caught up. Ginny sighed to herself as she heard her Riachu crying. This Pokemon was the most sensitive living thing on the earth. Fairy bent down to pick up and hold her Pokemon closely. "You know damn well I wouldn't do that to you," she said while looking straight in the tear stained face. "Just remember how I wouldn't be the same without you, Ria." She looked up at her trainer through the tears and smiled softly up at Ginny. "There we go. Now, Ria, let's show this guy who we are and how awesome we can be."

Ria hopped out of Ginny's arms and ran toward Dion. Wow. Quick recovery. "Ria, wait!"

✿ ✿ ✿ Fae Dawson
Words are flowing out like
endless rain into a paper cup
They slither while they pass
They slip away across the universe
Pools of sorrow, waves of joy
are drifting through my open mind
Possessing and caressing me
Across the Universe.

As the master of contests slowly placed the brilliant blue ribbon upon the dazzling serpent form of the proud Dragonair, Obsidian looked away with disgust. Already he could see glittering lights within the pokemon’s glossy onyx eyes, looking around just to find a pretty reflection of itself. Pride would begin to consume the levitating dragon-type, as Mushroom was proclaimed the winner of the Beauty Contest at Hearthome City, and from there, all Hell would be unleashed for all eternity. Or at least until she would learn to shut up, or Obsidian would teach the cocky Dragonair to shut up. His goldenrod gaze fell though, to the trainer who stood next to Mushroom, a trainer they both shared.

Sporting a short alabaster dress, Fae looked alluring of course. Or at least Obbie knew she was so by human terms. An aqua teal ribbon was wrapped right below her bosom, tied in the back. The same format of ribbon was around the girl’s neck, supported with a bow around the back in a rather cute fashion. In her hair was a ivory white, tear shaped clip with a cerulean gemstone right in the center, holding just a bit of her long, soft hair back. It billowed down her shoulder, it’s color reminding Obbie of the cotton candy his Trainer often devoured with such exuberance.

Her light, water-blue eyes seemed filled with absolute bliss. It was then that Obbie realized that bickering with the overly narcissistic Mushroom would dampen her mood. He had to admit, that last move, the absolutely elegant Dragon Dance was what captured the audience, and enraptured them with the pokemon. Mushroom practically illuminated grace. But this Blaziken would never, EVER admit such an embarrassing truth, not within an eternity if he could.

Glancing over to his side, the tall bird pokemon gave a start though. He was lacking his fox-like, water-type companion.

“Damnit!” The pokemon around him looked up, able to apprehend his words, but to the humans, it merely sounded like an angered growl. He uncrossed his arms, beginning to look around for the mischievous little Vaporeon. Obsidian was in charge of making sure the curious Aine didn’t wander off, and that was exactly what had happened. But among the crowd he saw a familiar mermaid-like cerulean tail swishing back and forth contently, approaching him.

“Where were you?!” Obsidian glared down as Aine arrived, holding something between his teeth. Aine took no mind to Obbie’s menacing tone and merely laid down, putting a popsicle between his paws and licking it lightly.

“Getting ice cream! You should try some, it might cool you down. And it’s so delicious!” The Vaporeon beamed him a smile and began licking up his tasty treat.

“Fine, as long as you don’t wander of ag-WHAT IS THAT?!” It was a louder growl now as he gave the little pokemon a death glare. Aine whimpered and tilted away, looking at his popsicle.

Which was, in fact, in the shape of a Torchic.

“Aw come on buddy, it’s only because I love you and you’re so sweet…” he continued to lick up the cold sweet delight. The crowd continued to cheer for the winners, a few reporters trying to get in and catch a quick interview, but only managed to snap a few images of her. Blaziken smirked. In the instance, Fae had disappeared, Mushroom probably already back in her Pokeball.

“Come on…Fae’s probably heading out…”

Obbie signaled to the Vaporeon, who grabbed his popsicle and slowly followed the Blaziken out of the crowd and towards the outside. As they reached through the doors they saw her, standing there with a dazzled smile. Vaporeon shook his tail happily, nearly smacking Obsidian. The bird pokemon looked exhausted from standing and taking care of his fellow comrade, dropping his arms with a disgruntled sigh. Immediately, his trainer saw this.

“You did well Obbie, thanks for watching him. Come back and rest…” A light shot out at him, sucking the large pokemon into a small state and into a pokeball, which retreated into a miniature state before it was placed back upon the trainer’s silver belt.

✿ ✿ ✿

Fae patted the pokeball with a smile, before looking up at Aine, watching as he finished off the last bits of the Torchic Popsicle, crunching at the M&M eyes. Unable to help herself, she burst out into a cheerful laughter, people turning to hear the lovely noise as she sat on her knees, petting the Vaporeon lovingly.

“You really shouldn’t tease Obbie so much…” she pointed out, watching his eyes close in content from her pets. He nuzzled a ‘Congratulations’ against her knee, looking into his trainer’s eyes.

“Thanks! OH! Tomorrow we’ll have a party for Mushroom! With cake…and cookies, and chocolate, and candy!” Her eyes began to brighten up at the thought of sweets, the girl standing. “Come on though, it’s just you and me for tonight, lets go see what else Hearthome has to offer…”

The sun began to depart into its slumber upon the horizon, leaving behind little glimmers of pinks and purples among the skies, all colors that caught Fae’s wondering eyes as she traveled the streets. She greeted people, smiling and always offering a friendly ‘hello’ to each one. Her eyes ate up the trinkets and merchandise people sold, always complimenting the artists on their work. Such was Fae’s character.

She stopped, Aine halting as well, the girl tilting her head to the side. Not too far from them, she saw a girl with pale blonde hair and dark clothes, a Lucario accompanying her. She noticed the girl seemed more reserved away from the crowd, keeping to herself as she walked. Fae had a skill for empathy, being able to tell some emotions of people. Aine watched, and saw a glint come into her eyes. He knew the look, and he knew they were about to make an interaction.

“Two of those strawberry tarts please!” He could already hear her speaking to a bakery vendor, offering a few coins as he returned to her with two pastries, fresh and sweet, giving the girl a warm smile. “Thanks!” Aine hurried forward as Fae seemed to step into action. He was more than accustomed to this by now.

Fae slowly approached the girl she had seen, walking up next to her. “Hey!” The girl was no bashful at all, grinning. “I’m Fae…just saw you walking here alone, wondering if you’d like a strawberry tart? They’re fresh! Is that a Lucario?” Her eyes wandered to the pokemon.
“What's his name?” She asked, watching with curiosity, never having seen this type of pokemon so up close before.

The fire that burns within...

This was the perfect time of day. The sky was a fiery orange, the perfect prelude to the dark night that lay ahead. Derek chuckled to himself and thought, I guess it won't be that dark tonight now will it?. Tonight was the night of the Hearthome Festival, the Mardi Gras of the Pokémon world. The streets of the already crowded city were filled to bursting with children running around in various pokémon masks, adults running after said children as to not lose control of them, and who could forget all the greed merchants and their stalls lining the many alleyways and boulevards of this big city. Derek had been so lost in the scenery he had forgotten his faithful compainion walking right behind him. His Houndoom, who he had known as long as he could remember, walked slowly alongside his master, his claws making soft clicking sounds against the stone pavement. Houndoom whined softly as his stomach growled, "Houn..." Derek rolled his eyes slightly then fished a bright red Poffin from his jacket pocket. He smiled at his loving friend and tossed the spicy Poffin at him. Houndoom gratefully jumped slightly and caught the pokémon bread right in between his teeth. Derek watched as his friend finished his Poffin then proceeded to spit a small burst of flame into the night sky, "Glad you liked it," he smiled then scratched Houndoom's head lovingly. He continued walking and noticed the pleased looks on several girl's faces at that sudden display of closeness to his pokémon. He tipped an imaginary hat to them which caused them to giggle and walk away. He sighed as his Houndoom snickered at that scene. Slightly annoyed, Derek leaned closer to his pokémon and patted him, a little harder than usual, on his back. Houndoom glared at his master then licked proceeded to lick his face before trotting ahead. "Hey! Wai-" He began to call to his Houndoom before a familiar French accent echoed through the streets.

"Au revoir!~ Derek! How do you do!" Fantina, the Hearthome gymleader almost glided towards him with her faithful Mismagius right at her side. Derek turned to face the overly eccentric gymleader as his Houndoom walked beside him. "Hello Gymleader Fantina" He said with as much enthusiasm as he would express talking to a teacher. "Oh, Derek, why so formal? Tis the festival! So, in spirit of this festival I say we battle! What say you?" Fantina was suddenly very serious, and Mismagius looked no different. Shocked by the sudden change in character, all Derek could manage was a ingeniously thought up, "Wha...?". Fantina chuckled, and Derek thought, Oh wow, even her laugh has an accent, "Oh you know, a battle!" She wagged her finger a bit at Derek while making a "Tsk"ing sound, " How does...two on two sound to you?". Derek's shock suddenly dissipated and was replaced by a sudden fierceness for battle, "Of course, as long as you don't mind me using these" Derek fished through his black and red sling over backpack and took out three strange looking stones. Fantina gestured to her Mismagius who began forcing onlookers to this little conversation to back up, so that no one would get...hurt, "Oh my, if those are what I think them to be...well this should be very interesting!". The two trainers stared at each other before shouting, one after the other, "Let the," " Battle commence!

The crowd that had formed erupted in cheers as the two trainers pointed their fingers to the center of the Battle field. Derek's Houndoom leaped into his side of the field with a quite ominous "Doom" In contrast to Houndoom's enthusiastic leap, Fantina's Mismagius slowly floated into the Field with a quiet but intense "Magius...". "Go! Fire Fang!" Without warning Houndoom leaped into the air, his mouth already glowing with an inense heat as Fantina shouted, "Mismagius! Use Confuse ray!" Mismagius, in response seemed to just glare at the oncoming attack, suddenly, a bright orange ring shot out in front of Mismagius and right at Houndoom. Without needing to be told, Houndoom landed in the middle of the field, crouched down, jumped, and lastly did a complete somersault in mid air right through the confusing ring. He landed right on top of Mismagius and proceeded to bite down fiercely, fire flared as Mismagius shrieked and Houndoom leaped away. "Oh Mismagius! No! Use Psywave!" Mismagius obeyed and shot a shining rainbow colored ray at the dismounting Houndoom. Without a chance to react, the Houndoom was hit head on with the powerful ray. " Lets end this now! Use Beat up!" Houndoom snickered and his eyes began to glow a furious red, and he leaped at the helpless Mismagius. Fantina seemed to be in shock as she just waited and stared as her Mismagius was attacked. Houndoom slashed his his right and left paws, flipped and whacked Mismagius with his tail, continued to flip and then pushed Mismagius away with his hind paws. He landed and ducked his head in preparation for a tackle when Fantina finally yelled, "Now my Mismagius! Use Destiny Bond!~ If you are to faint, then you shant go alone!!!" With amazing speed, Mismagius recovered enough to begin glowing with a faint white light, just as Houndoom connected with a powerful, horns first, tackle. Mismagius seemed to laugh in a slightly evil way as she fell to the ground and fainted. Houndoom howled to the sky in triumph just as thousand beads of light surrounded him and began to squeeze...smaller...and smaller...and smaller. Finally the dissipated and Houndoom was left, fainted on the ground. Fantina smiled and recalled her pokémon, she whispered to the Pokéball, "You did good, my friend." Derek sighed, then whistled at Houndoom who shakily got to his feet, trotted over to Derek, then promptly fell asleep.

As Fantina smiled, Derek glared at her. He wasn't mad at her, he just gets really into battles...or that's what he always told himself. Fantina was about to throw out another pokéball when her gaze drifted to a nearby clock hanging in a nearby Merchant's stand. "Oh my, it's almost time for the main event! Come Derek, we musn't miss it, there are going to be so many fabulous guests!" She gasped, then, taking advantage of Derek's momentary state of surprise, ran over to him, grabbed his arm, and nearly dragged him to the Main Stage that had been set up in the middle of town. Derek's Houndoom sleepily opened an eye, and, seeing his master nowhere to be found, stood up in fright. Derek rolled his eyes as he was being dragged away by Fantina and whistled to his best friend. Houndoom heard said whistle and bounded after Derek and Fantina as they proceeded to run to the stage.

~~Suki~~

A young girl walked along the path, she was fairly small in stature. Her cloths consisted of black shorts, and a red sleeveless shirt. In the middle of her shirt, was a pokeball design. The girl's hair was a reddish, pink color; that went down to her mid back. This girl's name, was Suki Shozan. A young girl, traveling to become a great pokemon trainer. She hadn't actually been at it for all that long, maybe a few months. Suki loved to explore, it didn't matter what. May it be a Cave, a forest, or anything. So far, her journey had been a blast, sometimes literally. What! Those caves sometimes have Ursaring in them...! Okay, Suki was a little reckless sometimes, but that's not always a bad thing. Anyway... Moving on.

Right now, Suki was on her way to Hearthome city. To attend a festival, that Suki heard about. In the last city Suki passed threw, she over heard people talking about it. That this festival was suppose to be a lot of fun, so Suki went to check it out. Having been on the road for a few days now, Suki was more then ready to get there. Traveling wasn't dull; especially when you have her travel method. Suki sat on her Steelix's head, as the giant pokemon moved forward.

Suki's Steelix moved forward, not going to fast; then again not going slow. Being very careful to not smash any small pokemon, or person that might be ahead. Steelix loved to travel her self, so she didn't mind giving Suki a ride. They had been together for a long time, as partners; and friends. As an Onix, Steelix was Suki's first pokemon. Then beside, Suki was, another partner. A grass pokemon with fans for hands, and a cool pointed nose. Suki's Shiftry road on Steelix's head as well. Since they traveled on Steelix's head quite often, the height didn't bother Shiftry. In fact, he was very relaxed at the moment. He was laying on his back, with his fans behind his head. Looking up at the blue sky, as it traveled with them.

"Hey, were almost there," Suki said, smiling brightly. Noticing the city, as the drew closer. Suki could also see the outlining, of the many buildings in the city. Finally, they were almost there.
" Steelix, want to pick up speed a little?" Suki asked. Leaning over her steelix's head, so she could see her pokemon's eyes.

~ Ste!~ Steelix replied. Moving one of her giant eyes, to meet her trainers. The iron snake pokemon nodded softly, as to not knock Suki off; with her unbalanced footing. Steelix craned her giant body back, before springing forward. Picking up speed, so they could arrive in town sooner.

" Yeah, this is awesome," Suki said with a laugh. Quickly returning to her sitting position, so she didn't fly off. Hanging on to a small grove, on steelix's head. Shiftry grunted, and sat up; suddenly not feeling so good. Having just watched the sky, suddenly rush past them. Making the dark and grass pokemon, a little motion sick.

~Try?~ Shitry grunted. Rubbing his stomach with his fans, while. Looking more green then usual, he looked at Suki; With a ' was that really necessary' look. Obviously not happy, having his cloud watching ruined.

" Sorry about that, Shirtry," Suki said with an apologetic look. Shirtry grunted, and sat by Suki. His color not completely normal yet.
" Hang on, well be in town in a moment," Suki said, rubbing her pokemons back. Feeling a little bad, about making her pokemon feel ill. Looking ahead, Suki found them at the town gates.
" Stop!" Suki called in a hurry. Not wanting to flatten the gates, causing the town to be angry. Steelix stopped fast, just before slamming into the gate. Only tapping on the gates by accident, but caused no damage. Just, a really loud scratching noise.

" Opps, " Suki said covering her ears, to block out the noise. At the same time as holding on, not wanting to fly into the gate her self. Suki tapped on Steelix's head gently, wanting to get down. Obeying, Steelix lowered her head. Allowing Suki, and Shiftry to jump off.
" Thanks for the ride, steelix. Have a rest," Suki said with a smile. Recalling her giant pokemon back into her pokeball. Then looked to her Shiftry beside her. To find, him glaring at her.

~ Shift~ Shiftry said. Pointing to a bump on his nose, with his fan. Apparently wasn't expecting that sudden stop, and bumped his nose on the gate. That, and his color still hadn't returned.

" Sorry Shiftry, lets walk around a little. So, your stomach can calm down," Suki said. Giggling nervously, avoiding her pokemons gaze. Walking forward, into town. Suki wasn't going to even mention food, for a while. Shiftry grunted, in a forgiving way. Having been used to this sort of thing, having Suki as a trainer. Crazy things always happened, like getting chased by Ursaring or something. Shiftry was used to the recklessness, that was Suki. Walking beside her, and looking around the city.

Dion watched as he saw the girl's Raichu stopped and stared at him. The electric mouse pokemon looked like it was very curious, and like it was very friendly. Dion smiled and tried to make his way toward the pokemon. He kept bumping into people, however, and he had to weave in and out of the crowd. Finally, he emerged and saw the girl standing next to the Raichu, questioning it. She looked back toward Dion and he knew that she had seen him. He saw her place her hands in her pockets and make her way toward him. Dion was nervous. It had been a while since he had approached another person. His travels usually kept him in the wild and away from others. Of course, that didn't mean he didn't like people, only that he was more accustomed to the wilds and pokemon. Mags started snapping out of her awe and turned toward the red haired girl.

"Mag! Magby!"

Mags started flailing about wildly, as though she was excited. Dion almost lost his balance when she did this, and shot his arms up to steady her. He laughed and sighed and took her off his head, holding her out in front him. He looked at her, and she seemed to be very excited. Too excited in fact. Before Dion could stop her, Mags flared up and surrounded Dion in a pillar of flame. Everyone around them jumped back from surprise and started panicking and running away. Dion could feel his skin burning and his clothes catching fire.

"Mags! Stop!!"

Mags seemed to ignore him at first, but then she calmed down and calmed the flames around them. Dion was covered in ash and his clothes were burnt, a small patch of it on fire. Dion replaced Mags to his head and put the fire out. He shook his head and looked up at Mags. He was not happy with her and he had no reason why she had just done that.

"Mags, what was that about? I know you're excited for the festival, but you can't do that in public!!"

He didn't mean to raise his voice and he could tell he hurt Mags' feelings. He sighed and pat her on the head. The tiny pokemon winced at first, but then she cheered up and started bouncing up and down again. He smiled and started making his way toward the girl again. Hopefully, she wouldn't be freaked out by the little spectacle that just took place. The people around them started walking by again, all of them looking at the pair strangely. Dion ignored them and continued his way down the street.

A young teen lay sprawled across the grassy plains as the night began to fall. It was getting late as the sun fell from over the horizon and the wind's air was starting to start up falling upon the late of the night. The male figure made no movement whatsoever other than the light fall and rise of his chest and the slight twitching of his eyes under his pale lids. Carefully laid over him was his jacket as if someone had up it over him to ensure that he wouldn't catch a cold. A guardian perhaps? Or maybe just his pokemon. Beside the pale sea green haired teen lay a rather large pokemon: a charizard. The large lizard pokemon's eyes were too closed and his inflamed lit low and away from the green grass as the orange pokemon slept. It hadn't been long since their eyes had closed from the exhaustion of the day, and before long, they would once again awaken to head towards the festival that was occurring at the moment. Little did they know, they were late.

A low sound was emitted as a bright ray exploded from one of the pokeballs hooked onto the boy's belt. When the rays died out, a small pokemon stood: leafeon. The young female pokemon nudged its master attempting to wake him from his slumber he had finally fallen into. Before long, the boy would once again wake and run as if his whole world had been set on fire.

"Mmmm?" the boy's eyes sleepily opened, revealing a set of teal eyes shining brightly against the flames of the charizard who slept not too far away. "What time is it...?" pushing himself to a sitting position, he leaned against the now awakening orange pokemon to check his watch. His reaction was late seeing how half asleep he was at the moment. "WHAT?" The teen jumped up, startling his large pokemon. "Why didn't you wake me earlier?" he whined towards the female pokemon who replied back in a blank stare, then a low cry. She had just wanted him to rest. "Yeah, yeah, let's go" from his voice, excitement gushed out as he struggled to pull on his jacket as fast as he could. Running towards the ledge where he would be able to view his destination, the boy smiled, he would soon be there in with the rest of the crowd and the blinking lights. He wouldn't miss this festival for his life. "Sorry, but you're too big" he smiled sheepishly at Flame, his charizard, as the red light once again exploded from his pokeball which he now held open in his palm. The light swallowed the large pokemon and before their own eyes, the large pokemon was now stored inside the tiny little ball. It was a wonder how pokeballs worked. "Let's go Ivy" Grinning widely, he began running towards the city in a hurry.

Matthew James Reyes was his name. He had a longing to become one of the breeders though it would almost seem as if he would have made a better pokemon trainer than a breeder. Matthew, otherwise known as Matt, adored pokemon and had a great passion for them. He would have made a brilliant pokemon master in training, but there was one problem: he hated watching pokemon get hurt. Though he himself was always getting into a load of hurt and troubles due to his over excited personality, he hated watching his pokemon get injured. It was something he himself could bare watch. If it were his own injuries, he could tough it out himself, but he wasn't able to stand by and watch his beloved . . . friends, get hurt for his needs. And even though he often complained that he had no longing to become a pokemon master and collect gym badges, he is often times day dreaming, while running, causing him to trip and fall, of the pokemon battles he had seen so far. It was plain as day to see his longing to enter the battles and claim victorious, but his heart wasn't with the plan.

Running into the crowd, the boy slowed his pace with Leafeon, otherwise known as Ivy, at his feet. "Look" he mumbled, breath taken, as he looked around at the battles surrounding him as well as the shops and people all around. Never had he seen so many people all crowded up into one space. It would be impossible to run around here. "There's so many people!" he exclaimed as he looked down, smiling at his companion. "Just look how much people and pokemon there are! And to think there's millions more like this! Just imagine how many people live in this world!" Matt grinned as he squatted besides the four legged pokemon and met its eye. Fascination brightly glistened in his eye as the lgihts of the festival brightly strayed into the night. "Just ima--" his day dreaming was interrupted by the growl of his stomach, "oh.. heh, I guess I forgot to eat." Grinning once again, he stood back up to his full height of five feet five. His teal eyes surveyed the place before picking out a stand where he could perhaps gather something to eat. "Let's go" looking down at his pokemon, he smiled, before crouching back down and allowing the small four legged pokemon leap onto his shoulder, "there's wonders before us we haven't yet to see."

"I've got to keep things balanced
They've got to stay in line.
Without order and reason
I think I'll lose my mind."

Rae stood back from the action, allowing it all to sink in. I was amazing how she could stand to be around all these people. Part of her just wanted to leave and run to the nearest, darkest area where she could be alone with her Pokemon. And yet another part of her demanded she stay for the sake of battling, or even the seemingly hopeless idea of actually belonging. That seemed like such a lost cause to her, though the small sliver of hope still stood. She listened to the sound of the festival with mind interest, her head slightly moving with the music that played on stage. Eventually the music stopped and was replaced with some kind of lecture about a new fashion line for large Pokemon. She shook her head at the thought.

"Ugh...I wouldn't think to dress up any Pokemon in a jumpsuit. Especially something as big as a Snorlax." The thought was simply ubelievable, trying to put clothes on a Pokemon. She looked over to her companion."You wouldn't stand for that would you?"

"Lu."

"I didn't think so. Though I bet Noa would, if it had sequins or any kind of sparkle to it." Auros frowned at the mention of the Weavile's name. Those two never got along, and the Dark Pokemon's obsession with all things that shined caused Rae a lot of trouble with people. As if she didn't already have enough trouble...

Her attention shifted to a huge shape that descended from the sky. With all the lights around it was easy to distinguish the large, orange Pokemon: A Dragonite. Amazing...She had never expected to see such a creature. They were pretty hard to come by. "Look over there, Auros. See that?" The Lucario turned in the direction of the trainer arriving on the Dragon Pokemon. "I guess seeing rare Pokemon like that make it all the worthwhile being here. You got to admit, some of these guys look like pretty strong trainers." Even she had to admit that. Granted, she wasn't the greatest fighter around, but she did pretty well for herself. Especially since she didn't try going at it for a career. However, Rae knew to give credit where credit was due.

Her Pokemon looked up at her, his red eyes peering into her own as he crossed his arms. Rae shook her head and let out a small laugh. "Oh please. I'm not going to go off and replace you for something else. You're something speacil too, you know?" Auros gave her a smile in return and let his gaze soften. "Besides, I said they looked tough. Doesn't mean they can beat us." A nod from the blue and black Pokemon, folllowed by a happy "Cario!" showed that he agreed. She gave the Pokemon a loving pat on the head.

A voice coming from behind her startled Rae, and caused her to jump a little. Someone was actually talking to her? She half expected it to be someone trying to get her into a battle, or something of the like, but upon whipping her head around she saw who the voice belonged to. It was a girl with pink hair and beautiful blue eyes giving her the biggest smile Rae had ever seen. This girl had decided to just randomly talk to her and offer her a strawberry tart? That was strange...Rae was also surprised to see that the girl had even the nerve to approach her. Most people wouldn't even try, and never for any nice reasons.

"I...I'm Rae." she said in reply, her voice as calm and neutral as she could. She didn't know what to make of the girl. She wasn't used to talking to people much, and hardly ever to spontaneous people like the person in front of her. Her red eyes looked to the offered treat. "..." She was about to politely decline the guesture, though a small nudge from the Lucario at her side told her that wasn't the right answer. He didn't want her to just decline any offer of friendship or kindness right off the bat as she usually did now. No. He wouldn't tolerate it! "Sure. Thank you." She gave the girl a small nod and accepted the strawberry tart. Cautiously she took a bite, and found it to be a tasty delight. Nothing could beat freshly baked goods. "...It's really good. Thank you."

She was relieved to see the girl shift her focus to the Lucario at her side. "Yes. He's my good friend Auros." Her voice gained a bit of life as she spoke about her Pokemon. Talking about such creatures was easier for her. Something about them allowed her to open up more to people. It did explain a little why she seemed to change so much during a Pokemon battle. At the sound of his name Auros gave Fae a smile and a small bow. Rae looked to the side of Fae and saw a Pokemon accompanied here as well.

"That's a nice Vaporeon you've got there. Does he have a name?"

The street lamps and decorations were all a blur as Derek was all but dragged along by Fantina. Derek's Houndoom struggled to keep up as the ran towards the center of Hearthome and the stage that had been set up there. As he passed down a street he noticed a ginger haired girl and a boy, look quite well done, with a Magby on his head. He chuckled as he hurried passed them. Knowing Fantina, she wouldn't slow down until they reached the stage, so he just continued to run along side her, while she gripped his arm in excitement. He stared up into the sky, it had turned from the bright fiery orange to a light lavender purple. He sighed at that sight, What a beautiful night it's turning out to be, he thought.

Finally they reached the stage and Fantina released her death grip on Derek's arm. Suddenly Fantina gasped and turned to Derek, "Oh Derek! Look isn't it wonderful! Fashion! For Pokémon!!! How manefique!" She looked down to the panting Houndoom at Derek's side and there was a strange glint in her eye, "I think I could find the perfect thing for you little friend there..." Derek just smiled politely as Fantina ran off towards the stage. He looked down at his friend and immediately burst out laughing at the sight of Houndoom's look of pure disgust at the "fashion" that Fantina had in mind. He patted Houndoom's head and gestured to a pastry stand nearby, " How 'bout we get out of here before Fantina returns with a pretty dress and bow for you and your horns" He snickered and Houndoom just blew a bit of fire into Derek's hair. He nudged Houndoom purposely as he patted the fire in his hair out, "Hey, I don't need anymore conflicting colors in my hair," As Derek repaired his orange and brown hair, it was Houndoom's turn to snicker.

Once at the Pastry Merchant Derek laid a few coins and notes on the vendor's counter and said, "One blueberry tart and on of your finest spicy Poffin, please" The vendor merely nodded and handed Derek a white paper bag, which Derek grabbed and proceeded to walk to the side of the stall. As he walked around the side of the stall he noticed two girls talking with their pokémon at their sides. He casually strolled up to them and said, "Well hello ladies, I assume you two are enjoying tonight's festivities?" He smiled kindly at them. He noticed the two pokémon at their sides were a Vaporeon and a Lucario, Great, he thought,a water Pokémon. He winced as he turned to his Houndoom who was, sure enough, growling softly at the Vaporeon. "Down boy," He tossed the spicy Poffin at the devil dog who immediately stopped growling and instead, munched happily on the spicy bread.

I look on the bright side of everything.
No matter what happens
I'm not one to give up
Even if I hold this great power inside of me

~Rayne shook her head, as Shadow finished off his treat. She smiled and lightly rubbed the top of her Umbreon’s head. He was content and happy, while the other poffins were stored away for her other pokemon. They were all currently resting in their pokeballs. Shadow on the other hand hated all pokeballs and refused to go into one. She’s had that problem ever since she first got him as an Eevee. Of course that never bothered her. She loved carrying Shadow around or just having Shadow walking beside her. It made their bond so much stronger than expected, but then again; she had strong bonds with all her pokemon. That was the way she was and she loved them as friends. Since most of her friends are pokemon anyways. Rayne never really had many human friends. Sure she made plenty friends on her travels. But it was hard to keep in touch with them all the time. She shook her head and pushed those depressing thoughts out of her mind. Shadow gazed at her with a worried look. She just smiled and petted him. “I’m fine Shadow. Don’t worry. Besides maybe we’ll find a good battle soon. I do want to test out my pokemon again.” Shadow shook his head. ”Um...” She smiled and walked onwards, after telling Shadow that she was just fine.

~Her stomach ended up growling and she blushed. She must have forgotten to have something to eat before coming here. She looked around and gazed around at the many stalls and shops. The sweet aromas of food washed over her. It all smelled really good. Rayne placed Shadow down on the ground, as she walked over to one of the stalls. Shadow walked beside her, his black coat was shining in the light. Also the yellow circles seemed to glow under the light. He happily walked beside her and refused to let her out of his sight. Rayne just smiled at her pokemon’s protectiveness and reached down. She petted Shadow, before standing up straight. Moving some blond hair out of her face, she ordered something to eat. The owner smiled and cooked it up. When he was done, he handed it over to Rayne. She took it and paid for it. With food in hand, she found a good spot to eat her meal. Rayne sat down and Shadow jumped into her lap. She shook her head and started to eat. As she ate she looked around for any good candids to have a battle with. But many people were enjoying the festival more.

~ Soon Rayne was done and she tossed her garbage away. Children ran pass her, in masks and laughing happily. Adults kept their eyes on their children and made sure not to lose them in the chaos of the festival. She just smiled and someone tapped her shoulder. Rayne turned around and spotted a guy older than she was and had a cocky aura around him. She gazed at him. “Can I help you?”. The guy grinned and crossed his arms across his chest. “Why of course. Can I ask a cutie like you for a battle?” Rayne grinned and smiled brightly. She waved her hand over to him and headed to an area that wasn’t crowded with anyone. Shadow walked beside her. She bowed towards the cocky guy “Of course you can. How about a one on one battle?” The guy grinned and nodded his head. “Sounds good. But if I win, I want a date with you.” Rayne grinned and smirked. “We’ll see.”. He grinned and nodded his head to her.

~ Rayne smiled and looked towards Shadow. Shadow stepped forward and was ready to battle. The guy whose name is Jake smiled. “An Umbreon. Well this should be easy. Go Haunter.” A purple ghost appeared his hands out in front of him. “Haunt. Haunt.” Rayne grinned and the battle took place. As they battled a huge crowd started to come over. They were cheering and happily screaming out their joy. Rayne smiled and waved towards them. She turned back to the battle at hand and got Shadow to use bite and dark pulse. Haunter fell and was knocked out cold. She was in her element here and how she loved battling. It might’ve of been something to do with her father being a gym leader and all. But she didn’t care, she loved battling and letting her pokemon out for some fun.

~Jake ended up returning Haunter and Shadow walked back over to Rayne. She smiled and picked him up. She turned to Jake. “You lose. So no date for you. Now run along. And annoy some other pretty girls” She smiled and waved towards the trainer. Jake frowned and walked away from her. He wasn’t very thrilled that he lost to her. Rayne turned around and walked away. She rubbed Shadow. “Good job Shadow.” Shadow nodded his head and Rayne went to look around for other trainers to battle. But the place was crowded as ever and it made it hard to find people. Since most were there to just enjoy the festival. She sighed and looked around again, seeing everyone interacting with someone and just having a great time. It was indeed the festival of a lifetime. But she did seem numerous battles breaking out all over the festival grounds. She grinned and went to watch most of the battles, while getting a few more in for her.

~~Suki~~

Suki and Shiftry walked around, looking at all the festival. Or at least, the start of it. So far, it all seemed pretty exciting. All the booths, were selling food. All, different foods as well. Suki's stomach growled, coming alive with the presence of food. Suki blushed, and looked to Shiftry.
" Sorry, I guess I am a little hungry," Suki said. Seeing as they hadn't eaten since lunch, while on the road. " We, might as well grab a bite. Do you want anything?" Suki asked her pokemon. Hoping that his stomach had calmed down, enough for something.

~ Shift~ Shiftry said softly. Looking at Suki, his color a little better then before. He seemed to be thinking about the food question. After a moment, he gave her nod. Giving in to his stomach, and the thought of food. But when it came to eating ~ Try~ He shrugged, he didn't seem to now what he wanted.

" Okay, I guess I'll just get something for us," Suki said. When her Shiftry didn't respond, Suki figured it was fine. So, Suki kept walking along the booths. Until, she found something interesting. It was booth that was selling pastries, and they looked good. Suki walked up to the booth, and looked at the pastries. Suki was going to buy treats for all her pokemon, as they were probably hungry too. When the booth owner walked up, asking her order; Suki looked up at her. " I'll take twelve chocolate chips cookies please, and twelve peanut butter cookies please," Suki finished with a smile.

The owner looked at her like she was crazy, but shrugged. The owner got there big order, and gave the bag to Suki. " Thank you very much," Suki said. Giving the owner the money, and walked off. Suki took out two more pokeballs, and released the pokemon inside. A quilava, and Licktung appeared. Both of them looked up at her, curious as to why they were out. " Here, I got you all a snack," Suki said. Kneeling down next to her pokemon, and gave them some cookies. They smiled, and took the cookies and began eating them. " Here you go, Shiftry," Suki said, giving him some cookies too. He seemed happy too, enjoying his sweets. Suki would give Steelix her's later, seeing as she was big.

With her three pokemon following, happily munching on cookies. Suki walked threw the festival more eating a cookie her self, noticing some other trainers. Two were girls, and the other a guy. They all had pokemon out, a Vaporeon, Lucario, and a magby. Wanting to talk, Suki walked up to them. " Hello, the festival is fun so far; isn't it?" Suki asked. Making friendly conversation, while her pokemon stood beside her. Looking at there pokemon, with curiosity mostly. Lickatung looked on with a smile, being friendly. Shiftry didn't say anything, while Quilava looked on confidently.

Hearthome cities festival was truly a sight tyo behold, with its busy and cheerful crowds, bright lights and decorations ranging from banners to balloons. The fresh food on the stalls created an air thick with delicious smells, the strange, almost otherworldly offshore items available made for glorious food for the eyes to behold.
Everyone seemed so happy- and that they should of been. This was a joyous occasion, through & through. Children playing, adults laughing, merchants chatting up potential customers... it was a good vibe that surrounded the town at the moment, it really was.

But in a way... that's exactly what annoyed Blake the most.
Pokemon should be celebrated- fine, but he felt that they were laying it on a bit thick. He didn't like all these bright neon-esque lights, and sweetly scents. It was just to... intense, for his personal tastes, so he couldnt truly enjoy it. However, he would not be put off from any potential chance to test his strength because of some mere celebration- most certainly not.

Walking along, Blake had rather good posture. And being just under 6"1, he was most certainly decently tall enough. But his stride was quick, and precise. It had no confidence, pride, nor overdone elogance to it. The sheer lack of personality or emotion in not only his walk but any of his body language made it oddly serene, and cold. But perhaps this is what defined Blake, after all- outside of battle, anyway.
He would of preffered to have one of his pokemon out beside him. He didn't want companionship... he was content to be void of that. But he wanted one of them by him to ward off weak trainers whom might make the folly of challenging a lone trainer, and likewise draw in stronger trainers whom desired a challenge like he did. However, Aggron and Metagross were far too large, and would cause too much hassle with these busy and therefore narrow streets. Seviper would also be a hassle, as he tended to scare young children and small pokemon. And finnally, Ariados. Well, the bug had no real problems, but seeing as alot of people seemed to have irrational phobia's of bug pokemon nowadays, Blake decided it was best he stay in his ball.

Walking past the stalls from abroad, he saw ranges of fruits, candies, and small toys. however, he was looking for something specific- and soon enough, he had found it.
It was a rather humble looking stall Blake had stopped at, with simple wooden supports holding up a large blue banner with a decrotive image of an image that displayed a large tree, and underneath it was a light wooden table, with all the merchandise on offer. The minder of the stall was an old man, with small glasses and a dark antique-looking pipe in his mouth. This stall was selling things from johto- Blake's home region. More specifcally, they were selling things from Azaela town.

"Hello m'boy! What can I offer a young'un like you today, hm?" the old man chimed, grinning widely. He looked like a rather jolly person, despite his years.
"I'm here... for the Apricorn pokeballs. Do you have them?" Blake replied simply, eyeing the contents of the table. There were some candies for humans down there, and a couple of berry ones for pokemon too. Not to mention a collection of herbal medecines, and a large stack of charcoal.

"Ah... so you know about Apricorn balls, eh? Well, we've got quite a few of all kinds on offer... any type you'd like in specific?" the old man inquired, adjusting his pipe and taking in a heavy puff of smoke with a content sigh. "Not many trainers know about, let alone use Apricorn balls in this area- or hoenn or Kanto. Would I be mistaken in assuming your from Johto then, M'boy?"

Blake nodded. "Yes."
the mans grin didn't falter, despite the briefness of Blake's part of the conversation. Apparently, this boy wasn't big on small talk.
"I'll take 5 heavy balls."
Within a few moments, the old man took out a small box of black pokeballs, and placed five of them on the table. After Blake handed over the correct payment, he quickly put the heavy balls into the right pocket of his trenchcoat, and with a small nod of thanks left the stall.

Blake found himself visiting a couple of other stalls thereafter- mainly food ones. Keeping his hunder down was a priority so that he could focus, after all. Acquirring a small portion of pasta, he found a comfortable, and more importantly empty, bench to sit at. The bench was near the stage set up for the festival, which was located on a lower rise. Blake could see it clearly, and decided to take in the free entertainment on offer as he ate.
However, when some purple haired man came on stage, announcing a new range of clothing which appeared to have designed to make large pokemon look as ridiculous as possible, Blake couldn't understand why all the people were cheering. Then again, this was world was, sadly, full of morons, willing to enduldge in the pointless prospect of fashion.

"I get by with a little help from my friends"

xxxxxxx» Night...It'd already begun to fall. The last few rays of the golden sun shone above the horizon, while the rest of the sphere sunk below it. In its place, street lamps lit up, helping guide trainers down the right path so as not to stray too far away from civilization unintentionally. With a soft, sheepish grin, a blue haired boy walked the path alone, hands pocketted as he slowly made his way towards the gates leading into this year's Pokemon Festival in Hearthrome. Years prior, Kaiden, this particular blue haired bor had never attended said festivals. Sure, he enjoyed being around his pokemon, spending quality time with them, even spoiling them every once in a while when his money wasn't very sparce, however, before this year, he hadn't had an excuse to go. This year though, this young trainer's friends'd begged him to finally make an appearance of some kind at the world famous event. It always had seemed like fun, watching the lights and fireworks go off from his house, also...There was this odd feeling in the pit of his gut, something that just drew him near the festivities. No matter what might happen to down his mood, it honestly didn't feel like Kaiden could stay away anyway. «

xxxxxxx» Approximately five meters away from the festival's entrance, the seventeen year old boy halted mid stride, a bead of cold sweat dripping down the side of his face. A premonitory chill caused his body to shiver, and for a split second, the young trainer considered simply returning home, sleeping through the rest of the day and waking up to head out then next morning to go about his adventures into the vast world of pokemon. No matter what odd feelings plagued his thoughts and triggered paranoia though, he'd soon found out that his feet had begun to march on their own, and before he'd known it, Kaiden Liam Saito had entered the Hearthrome City Pokemon Festival. Well shoots... «

xxxxxxxx» With a sigh, Kaiden looked around, desperately trying to locate any one of his friends here, not wanting to be seen at the Pokemon Festival alone. Of course...there were a bunch of people who'd let their pokemon out...So for the time being, he'd just let a few of them roam free around the fair grounds. Pulling out pokeballs from his belt one at a time, the boy first released Chiko, who, as soon as she'd been unleashed from its compressed state into the open space before him, immediately hopped onto a place atop Kay's head. With his other pokemon, Chompyy, Hiko, and Ty all stood besides their trainer, some much more enthusiastic looking than the others. "Alright guys, let's go find the others! They should be around here somewhere by now..." The pokemon grunted in response, however... Chompyy had been distracted by the countless new smells and aromas of different foods and produce on sale in various stalls. Hiko was constantly being distracted by movements in the corner of his peripheral vision. Ty had his arms crossed, giving off that "bad boy" aura. "Oii..." Kaiden slapped his forehead. This would be a long night... «

xxxxxxx»
"Sphi? Sphinx sphi sphi sphi!"

"Char..."

"Yea, yea...shut up..."

"La...Larvi...Lar lar larvi."

"...."

"Ty has a point..."

As the time passed, Kay and the others soon grew tired of their wandering, their aimless searching for the very companions that'd been the reason for Kay being there anyway. The young trainer, in the company of four of his six equipped pokemon, began to speak to his good friends. Of course, as people passed, they shot the group confused stares, even a few glares, but they hadn't minded. This was something the boy used to do during his early years anyhow...It was fun, and he really believed that, like the pokemon seemed to understand the human language, he could understand the way the pokemon spoke. No matter, other people's opinions of this odd habit of his didn't matter. Like his human friends, Kaiden loved his pokemon companions and would have done just about anything to make sure they were happy and always fine and dandy, so, even if people thought he was a bit odd, it didn't matter to him or his pokemon. «

xxxxxxxx» Even more time passed, teasing the boy. With every five minutes that seemed to fly by, a quick glance to his watch confirmed that only a minute or two had really passed. This fair wasn't as entertaining as he'd thought it would be...But he felt the need to stay, just a bit longer. He hadn't even encountered any of his friends yet, and he desperately wanted to see one of them. What if they were hurt somewhere? What if something had happened? Or maybe they were just having fun without him...Which was completely fine, except, they'd invited him here... "Geez...some friends." During the course of his stay, Kay and company spotted a fairly rare Dragonite soaring through the night skies, a few trainers in the middle of a heated battle, and vendors selling their slightly more expensive merchandise to the many visitors that stopped by their stalls and kiosks. The blue haired trainer allowed a sigh to escape his lips. There just didn't seem to be much here for him without his friends... «
