There is a large island in the middle of the ocean, only recently discovered. However, on this island, there are no new pokemon breeds. Rather, the pokemon here have gained one new ability - the ability to take on human forms.

Trainers and scientists have flocked to the land dubbed the Island of the Gijinka. However, they were quick to learn one thing; these human form pokemon can not be caught on the normal manor. Special pokeballs were developed, black with runes on them, held closed with what resemble paper seals. When a Gijinka pokemon is caught, the seal catches fire when it is successful, and tears up when the pokemon breaks out, making the pokeball useless from then on. As well, these pokemon can not be caught when in their human form, and have to be completely unconscious so they do not turn human during the capture process.

All around the world, the people have split. Some think these new pokemon are worth everything; others believe they should not be treated as pokemon, but as people. Many trainers spend their life savings to go take a stab at capturing these Gijinka; others protest and go to save them. With the world sliptting h=in half, which side will you be on?

Accepted Humans

My name is Arian Mauro.
I hail from a small, no name town in the Jouto reigion.
I am a 19 year old male.
I’ve been a trainer for 8 years, and a scientist for 3.
I have 5 pokemon.
They are luxray, pachirisu, eevee, sandslash and houndoom.
I am going to the island to capure and study the Gijinka.

Accepted Pokemon Gijinka

StrumpetEye
I am a Zangoose.
I am male.
The pokedex describes me this way: Memories of battling its arch-rival Seviper are etched into every cell of Zangoose's body. This Pokémon adroitly dodges attacks with incredible agility..
I think the humans seem to: have ways of fighting that I don’t. My kind are in a war against the Seviper, so—if the humans can help, I’ll fight alongside one. They’re kinda funny looking though…where are their claws?
As such, I want to: meet a strong one.
I think being caught would be: Interesting, though if the human isn’t strong enough to help me in my battle I’ll leave.

TanabataAngel
I am an eevee, hoping to become an Umbreon.
I am male.
The pokedex describes me a rare pokemon that adapts to harsh environments by taking on different evolutionary forms.
I think the humans seem to be hard to read. Some of them are nice, but others attaxk us and tr to put us in cages or little black orbs.
As such, I am rather wary around them.
I think being caught would be scary.
Eevee

I am a Mightyena.
I am Male.
The pokedex describes me a Pokemon that chases down prey in a pack. I will never disobey the commands of a skilled trainer...of one can tame me that is...
I think the humans seem to be Ignorant, selfish, insolent, bastards. No good will ever come from pinning two species which were never meant to fight against each other, or dressing them up, but these stupid pests don't seem to understand that. Not to mention they enslave "our kind" and throw them into cramped orbs only to show us off to their friends.
As such, I Hate them. I would rather be in the wild and free instead of bowing to my lunch as a mindless drone.
I think being caught would be a fate worse than death.

yoro-kun REAL

The pokedex describes me a Pokemon that intimidates foes with the heat of my flames, The fire burns more strongly when readying to fight.
I think the humans seem to be Stupid, foolish, bearable but some just...no.
As such, I Want to meet one to make fun of them!.
I think being caught would beFun depending on who and if not fun then I think Im just gunna go find something else to do.

User ImageEevee sighed softly, pausing to sniff the air. Everything smelled so different now that the humans were there. He shook his head, fluffing his fur collar, before padding off into the brush. He preferred his pokemon form over his human or Gijinka forms. He was smaller this way, harder to spot. Eevee were thought to be a rare species; while they were not easily found or captured, it wasn’t really from lack of population. Eevee was one of quite a few of his kind on the island. However, he was the last to evolve. But that wasn’t much of a surprise. He was quieter than his counterparts, took things more slowly. As a result, he was slow to gain experience. But it kept him out of trouble as well. Not always, but still, it was a useful trait.

Back in the undergrowth, away from the human paths, he sat on a stump and took a deep breath. He let it out slowly as his body morphed, becoming his Gijinka form; human, but with the ears, tail

and a few other traits of his pokemon form. He wasn’t very good at taking full human form yet, but it didn’t hinder him. He continued through the brush, looking around warily. Now that the humans were here, he was constantly on guard.

The Zangoose shifted, lazily sharpening the claws of his left hand on a scored patch of rock near the water.

His claws were his pride, and he maintained them diligently, raising them up after a few moments to hold them into the light, check for anything out of place.

Perfect.

Moving to the other hand, he flexed long, humanoid limbs in appraisal--it took some getting used to, the gijinka form, but it had its perks. Increased muscle mass, if a decrease in speed. It was odd to be so large.

Humming to himself tunelessly, the warrior pokemon filed down at one claw, rubbing it into a wicked point.

Strange things were happening on the island these days; he couldn't be too careful. It had been nearly a week since he'd seen any hint of his snake-like nemesis, which couldn't be a good sign.

Hairs pricked at the back of his pale neck, and the Zangoose's lips thinned. Too many things to look out for, these days.

Mightyena sat, staring. He was staring at a rather unpleasant sight for his eyes to behold, a burnt pile of sticks, leaves, twigs, branches, and this strange substance humans called "paper". All of it had been clumped together into a foul smelling pile and left in a rock-rimmed hole on a bare spot of dirt. There was an indentation from some sort of retractable nest which swallowed up a human like an arbok feasting on a pidgey egg to his left, and on his right was what seemed to be deemed the bathroom, at least it had been covered with dirt. And where was Mightyena? Why, on a strange log of course. It was many planks of cut up trees, flattened out and magically put together by small bits of sharp rock. Two planks made up strange benches that the humans sat on while another bigger one made up a place to put their food, where Mightyena chose to sit -less cramped that way.

Mightyena was in his gijinka form, a low growl set on his face as he viewed the messy sight before him. Who did these humans think they were, coming in here, destroying the forests, plowing the fields, flattening the mountains, and to top it all off, leaving messy grounds such as these? The worse part yet was that the same sights were reused over and over again, always stinking up the surrounding fields with their nasty human scent, it scared away all of his prey! Why, just a year ago this spot had been a happy home to a few, fat, raticate and their rattata offspring, wonderful snacks! But now, where were they? Gone, all gone, and Mightyena's food with them.

The set growl escaped his lips, now a vicious snarl, and Mightyena stood up on the human contraption, his red eyes glaring at the useless hunting ground. He never understood why he kept coming here anymore, it made him so angry after all, but the anger which this caused fueled him, kept him going, and that was probably the only reason why he hadn't been caught yet. Unlike his other, weaker, kind, Mightyena had no fear of these pesky beasts known as "humans". This island was his hunting ground, his territory, and if anything, it should be the humans who scatter and run at his sight. He could easily take one down if they were caught alone without their precious pokemon to aid them, and that was just how it should be.

Content with his ego-trip, Mightyena curled his lip up into what could be considered a smile of sorts, and he bounded to the ground with a graceful jump, landing smoothly on his toes. He turned his back on the nesting ground, and stalked off back the way he came, into the woods. In the other direction, there were only more camps.

What kind of pokemon are we?

XXXXXXXOff in the depths to the human campgrounds Quilava hid behind a rather large tree. The tree was on the edge to the forest line and the spacious land that was destroyed by the humans, campgrounds everywhere which soiled once beautiful land. Knowing the selfish, greedy humans, the land which belonged to the pokemon of the island was only going to keep disappearing til the humans got what they wanted. And that was the few pokemon out of the lot who could turn to human-like forms through Gijinka power. Qilava himself was one of those pokemon, and currently the fire-type hid behind the tree in his Gijinka form. Then again, come to think of it, Quilava never entirely understood the meaning behind their humanoid forms if taking on the forms only attracted more attention from the real humans.

XXXXXXXEther way, I guess this was just one of those mysteries of life? Now personally, Quilava was only watching the humans at their campsites for two reasons. One, he was in a sense looking for a human gullible enough to tease, taunt, and play with where he'd be in no danger if he did such mischievous actions. And two, as much as he hated the humans, Quilava was curious to a degree over human behaviors and speech. Just from spying on the humans Quilava had learned how to speak just a little bit of their words. But not enough to get what humans call a 'conversation' going. Red eyes narrowing some at his observations to the multitude of humans camping all in one area. Quit frankly Quilava found it both amusing and threatening that so many humans would bother to come out for them special pokemon. Amusing due to how stupid it was, and threatening because, well, every pokemon on the island would know that now a days it's not safe in the least to just roam about in humanoid form. Then again, what was stopping them from doing or not doing as such?.

Arian was never like the other trainers. He was always a little more curious, a little stranger, and less into fighting than he was of simply having the pokemon. He didn't bother with gym leaders, barely ever went into town. Instead, he spent all his time catching as many different pokemon as he could. And he never caught more than two of the same kind - a male and a female. In his free time, he would release one of his pokemon and just watch it. Sometimes he tried to teach them human concepts - his pachirisu ate with a spoon, his eevee knew to shake his head no and nod it for yes. He even got a tentacruel to write with a crayon. When he showed that to some towns folk, he was instantly asked to become a scientist.

He wanted to know how human pokemon were, for one reason. He didn't beleive they were pets. He thought of them, rather, as slaves. He was neither for nor against the idea, however, and admitedly was just as rough with his pokemon as the next person. He was a little sadistic, he had to admit, but never to the point of cruelty. His pokemon were all healthy, strong, and wouldn't have left his side for all the treats in the world.

Arian had arrived at the island of Gijinka the day before, gotten himself set up with camping equipment and such, then set off. He didn't plan to use the camp grounds. Rather, he was going as deep into the forests as he could, wanting to observe the stange new gijinka pokemon in their own habitat. Of course, he wouldn't pass up the chnace to catch one for himself.

What kind of pokemon are we?

XXXXXXXFeh, none of the humans Quilava observed ever seemed entertaining enough. Not one!, then again that is to be expected a little what with how many humans around where overly serious over the thought of capturing the gijinka. Ha! like they'll ever get them. Humans are so stupid and foolish, they'd never be able to think of a right way to catch them...Right? Meh doesn't matter. Deciding that a change of scenery would be better. Quilava turned himself around and walked away from his hiding place behind the tree, walking deeper into the forest. Now some may say it was odd seeing as Quilava's home was deep in the forest, yet he went all the way out to just observe humans. But that was just him for ya.

XXXXXXXFolding arms behind his head, a common thing that Quilava noticed humans do sometimes when walking. The fire pokemon stared up at the ky which could be seen through the trees while he walked deep into the forest towards his home or really just the most common place where Quilava liked to rest. A grin on his face, and the flaming colored hair on his head that showed pat his headband radiantly glowing in a sense from the sunlight that hit it. So far, this was just a boring day. When on earth would something exciting happen?!

A sigh escaped Mightyena's lips as he stalked his way into the woods. It was good to be away from nasty human smell and in his own territory again. Here he could smell the fresh prey scurrying in the grass, darting under leaves, climbing up trees, and sleeping in their homes. It was lovely to smell the blood running through the creature's veins, filled with airline and fear as they tried their hardest to avoid the predator's gaze. And what a gaze those red eyes held. That intimidating, red, glare, which seemed to bore deep into the souls of all pokemon, prey and ally alike. The glare, his glare, in his territory.

Suddenly, a scent brushed across Mightyea's nose and he curled his lip back into a snarl. There was a human on the breeze, the unmistakable smell of machinery and prisons in the form of red and white balls. The dirty, unclean, smell of soap and other poisons which tasted foul to the mouth, Mightyena hated it. A human had no right to be here, in his territory! He was top predator here, and would gladly show any pitiful human just that!

As Mightyena heard the other pokemon scurry into their home, he turned to face the scent, his fangs fully exposed as his lip was curled back into a vicious snarl. Who did this human think he was? Blindly trashing about, destroying twigs, stepping on plants, kicking in homes which took weeks to make? Oh yes, Mightyena could hear that, smell that, sense it. The human might not be aware of his crimes, but Mightyea was, and he would certainly show this human that his crimes would pay a high price!

Arian sighed softly as the sun started to sink. He stopped, looking about. He was in a small clearing surrounded in thick trees, the perfect place for him to camp. He didn't find huge clearings like other trainers. It was better to be close to nature. He set his bag down against a tree, and pulled out a pokeball. He tossed it up in silence, releasing the creature it housed. The pokemon was gold, with brown spikes and a rather rodent-like face. "Sandslash, cut up some branches for a lean=to." The creature hopped away to do as ordered, Arian following quickly, grabbing the large branches and his pokemon cut them down. They were leafy, and soon enough, there was enough. Arian went back to the clearing, letting his pokemon follow along for the time being. Once there, he pulled some rope from his bag, tied the branches into a make shift wall, and leaned it against the thick trunk of one tree. It blended in well, and there was plenty room under it to lay out his sleeping bag.

That done, he called sandslash back for the time being and quickly built a small fire, digging the grass away into a patch of dirt and piling dead sticks nearby. He started the fire with a match and dried pine needles, then sat beside it on the grass. He dug through his bag until he came up with a few nutrient bars that he thought tasted alright, and sat staring into the fire and munching away.
