“I’m sorry gentlemen, but the slaves do NOT get a choice…” Thomas stepped over quickly, hiding the fact that he was disgusted by the rather excited customer. “It is simply the customers choice, and things are to be done by the rules.”

Ormand wasn't sure if he was more insulted or amused at her attitude towards him. Almost self-consciously, he glanced at his hands. Certainly he had never seen a day of physical labor in his life, but when one had the mind of a scholar, why bother with a the body of a construction worker.

"Well since I find libraries more fascinating then battlefield trenches, I doubt my soft hands will be bothering with you." He nodded, his expression remaining the same but a faint twinkle of amusement showing in his blue eyes. His shoulders relaxed unconsciously, glad to have to the matter settled.

He had began to turn around to head for the owners, but it appeared that the other two prospective buyers were beginning some sort of feud that had both Thomas and Rebecca occupied. "I apologize, but it appears you'll be stuck in that box until those two can get their dispute solved." He said to Sphynx, ignoring Nate who was currently making crude gestures about the two of them.

[[And its goodnight for me too, ladies and gents. I've been on a lot longer then I was supposed to be. I'm going to hate myself in the morning for this -_-]]
Saito sighed, like the southern gentleman he to thought this was taking to long. "sir you can have her shes good but I need to hurry up and get out of here." Saito began looking at the other slaves when he came across one that looked positivly whats the word for it intimidating she was about an inch or 2 shorter then him but there was somthing about her fiery red hair that drove him crazy. his eyes drifted down to her chest and her legs they were short but a pair of heels would fix that and they were so shaply. "excuse me sir mgiht i see some individual pictures of this one?"User Image

Sphynx frowned as she looked at Ormand; clearly this was a man that she could have many a heated discussion with, thought it didn’t appear that his intellect was like hers; where she’d like to discuss the inner workings of an engine, he’d probably be more apt to want to talk about books and politics, history even. She couldn’t hide her reluctance at his choice. ‘oh well…’ she thought with a resigned sigh, ‘anything to get me out of this box.’

She’d never been the pretty one…the cute one…and usually that suited her. Until she came here.

Thomas gave Hawx a bow. “Cypress is yours. Rebecca will handle the transaction…” Hastily, he moved away from the grouping, his previously clenched fists loosening. It wasn’t like him to be possessive of a woman, but to have seen that man with his arm around his coworker had nearly made him lose every hold he had on his temper.

“Yes sir…” the business like manner was back, and Thomas handed the book to Saito, turning it to Maruhi’s page.
Rock began to become irritable and couldnt stand watching anymore. Out of no where he did something that stunned even him. He took his shirt and compltely took it off, the stood by the entrance and yelled. "hey Rebecca, can i talk to you for a moment!" he didnt know what he was doing and was shocked himself
Saito let out a low whistle. "dam cute little firecracker ain't she?" Saito liked this girl cute features shaply legs she seemd though like she was stronger then saito was that might be a problem.but what he liked the most was her hair he loved it. she was a little on the short side but saito wasen't much taller heck she'd be taller then saito in a pair of heels. Saito could feel his pants start to sag he quickly pulled them up. it would be very bad if anyone saw my underwear here. after looking at some more pictures Saito said "ill take her"

It was rather interesting, to see the two of them going at it like that, to see so many people intent on her future. Cypress watched silently, noting the touch of irritation in her military officer -- yes, hers. She wanted him to take her home. He was the sort of man that wanted to settle every little thing the most manly way. She imagined that if it came down to it, he would physically fight for something he wanted.

She perked up as the other man backed off. Hopefully that was a good thing. Some people gave up if they couldn't fight for what they wanted, and she prayed that wasn't the case now that her potential buyer had no opponent. Cypress's eyes followed Saito past the other boxes, around the corner to the point that she couldn't see him anymore. There was someone back there, really a rather beautiful woman, who never got any attention. Cypress was glad for her, that she would finally see some action. She wanted out just as bad as any of them. Cypress then turned her attentions back to the man buying her.

Thank goodness they had settled the dispute like men and not children. She wasn't sure how well she would have done with Saito had he won the bidding war.

"Ooh. Goody. More male customers to oogle over the female inmates." Lafaeyl's tail twitched irritably. No one ever had an open mind anymore. It was always guys for girls and girls for guys. What ever happened to mixing it up? It wasn`t often enough that a female came in here looking for a toy. Most girls wanted something like an affectionate puppy or someone to replace a boyfriend. That just wasn`t his style. "Yes men. Fight over the winged girls and ooh and ahh over the females with the badass attitude." Purring softly, an ear laid flat on his blonde hair as the other remained erect as it was. His golden eyes slowly traveled over to the loud-mouthed titan, a brow quirking at the little tanturm he was throwing. "You make a lot of noise, Rock. Leave the keepers alone. They`ll just lash you anyway if you screw up these sales. Don`t you know that's the reason they keep us to healthy? Can`t get the rich-idiots to buy sickly slaves, can they? No. But they can pump money out of them with well groomed and house broken slaves. How sad." The cat was growing bored of this nonsense. One customer was looking for a house-maid due to his laziness because of money. One was looking for some eye candy because he couldn`t afford a real girlfriend. The other was being forced by the father into getting his first to become 'a real man'. And lastly, the military man was here for god knew what, but obviously, innocent girls was his type. Of course 'he only wanted to make her happy'. Blah blah blah. Lafaeyl was tired of hearing the same damn excuses.

When the matter of the angel seemed to be coming to an end, Ormand began to head over to Thomas when he felt an etheral hand touch his shoulder. "Much as I'd love to watch you and the pretty lady throw words at each all the days long, you might want to make sure.” Ormand turned around to look at Nate, raising a quizzical eyebrow as he did so.

”Leather-clad lady doesn’t look too pleased.” At his words, Ormand took another glance at Sphynx and could not miss her rather disappointed look. He felt something in his own stomach drop- he would not buy a slave that didn’t want to be bought.

”Unless, of course, you’d rather wait for someone else?” He glanced around the room, to where the other master was about to collect his prize. ”The soldier perhaps? He looks pretty taken with his toy, but maybe if you pout real pretty, he’ll buy you too.” Entirely fed up with all of this nonsense, Ormand fought the urge to just leave and hire an employee. But there was a good reason why he needed a slave instead, so he gritted his teeth and turned away, not walking too far from Sphynx in case she did change her mind, but also reminding her that there were other fish in the sea.

[[Matto-Kun, I'm sorely tempted to create a master just to play with your character. He makes me happy. ^^]]
Rock decided that it was dumb to make an a** out of himself, That wouldnt get him fed, or get him bought. He sat down crossed his legs, and leaned up against the wall. He began to think, "maybe if i behaved enough, the owners will have me work for them...." He sat there with his eyes closed, he didnt realise he said those words outloud.

Rebecca smiled like the cat that swallowed the canary as Thomas gesured Hawx's transaction be completed by her. "With pleasure." After the money had changed hands, she led the way to Cypress's cage, drawing a key from her corset and opening the door with one hand, hooking a leather chain to her collar with the other in one fluid movement.

Handing the chain over to Hawx, she gave him one final look over. "Lucky girl." She teased lightly, before her attention was called to Rock. "What?" Though her voice never lost its honey-like texture, her face became hardened. By this point though, his eyes were closed and he seemed to need her no longer.

Like we'd hire him. Buy him and put him to real manual labor, or as a toy for Thomas to beat, perhaps, but work as an employee- hah! Reaching behind her and pulling the ribbons tighter on her corset to make her waist even smaller, she smiled as she made her way to Thomas's side to assist with the second master, the hyper one. When she glanced over Thomas's arm at the pictures, she flashed Thomas a glance. They both knew the complaints that came with that particular slave. She'd eat him alive, to be quite frank.

"Sir, I'm never one to tell a customer he's wrong, but might I suggest another one for you? I feel that perhaps a slave with a pink collar may be better suited to your taste and needs?" She said, smiling gently. Besides the fact that'd he'd probably get killed, they'd make more money off him if he'd buy someone else. Maruhi's price was a good deal lower then most because a slave with a checkered past is harder to sell, no matter how pretty their face.

He sat there against the wall for the longest time, he didnt make a sound. It was almost like he had given up, but he just realised that he needed to be perfect to be bought. The heart and shield on his collar, he would have been sold in an instant if he probly didn't act out. He decided from now on he would act like the perfect slave. and with that thought he stood up and said in a soft almost broken sounding voice.... "Mistress Rebecca, Master Thomas. I must apologise for the way i behaved if i can help out in anyway. Feel free to use however you two like........" He stood there and looked out the opening.......

Cypress backed up as her box's door was open. She had thought that perhaps she could make it without a leash, but she supposed that the shopkeepers trusted no slave enough for that. Eyes lowering, she stood. Her wings folded behind her and disappeared into the pockets in her back. She looked like a normal human now, if a little too small. She hesitated, then finally stepped out of that box.

Nothing really changed. There was no difference in temperature or air quality. But she felt different, as if there had been more than a clear barrier between her and the rest of the world. Then she realized it -- she was no longer alone. Being able to hear and speak to a person was completely different than being able to touch them. Of course, she didn't touch anyone. She just kept her eyes down and allowed a ghost of a smile to touch her lips. Not only different. She felt better.

Hawx took Cypress’s leash in his hand without a word and began to lead her away. “I’ll return at a later date to buy more items.” He turned one last smile on Rebecca as he made to open the door. He had to admit, initially he was surprised at his decision to buy a slave; the last time he had owned one was centuries ago, back when he lived on his fathers plantation, before his life had really even begun. But he couldn’t deny; it felt good to be in a position of power over someone else, and this showed in every aspect of his personality. He was the dominate type, one to GIVE orders rather then take them.

As Hawx opened the door and descended the spiral staircase, the smile on his lips faded, replace instead with a serious expression. He lead cypress to the front door and outside before he turned to look at her. “Don’t think your getting of easy Cypress. I do need things done, but you won’t find me overly demanding.” he kept his voice low as he spoke to her, more gentle then the tones that he often used with his recruits. Women; he wasn’t use to them even after all these years. Sure, he worked around them, but those were MILITARY women, tough, rugged…not the kind of woman you want at your side and waiting for you at home every night. Hawx hoped that buying Cypress wouldn’t turn out to be a mistake.
