Hawx took Cypress’s leash in his hand without a word and began to lead her away. “I’ll return at a later date to buy more items.” He turned one last smile on Rebecca as he made to open the door. He had to admit, initially he was surprised at his decision to buy a slave; the last time he had owned one was centuries ago, back when he lived on his fathers plantation, before his life had really even begun. But he couldn’t deny; it felt good to be in a position of power over someone else, and this showed in every aspect of his personality. He was the dominate type, one to GIVE orders rather then take them.
As Hawx opened the door and descended the spiral staircase, the smile on his lips faded, replace instead with a serious expression. He lead cypress to the front door and outside before he turned to look at her. “Don’t think your getting of easy Cypress. I do need things done, but you won’t find me overly demanding.” he kept his voice low as he spoke to her, more gentle then the tones that he often used with his recruits. Women; he wasn’t use to them even after all these years. Sure, he worked around them, but those were MILITARY women, tough, rugged…not the kind of woman you want at your side and waiting for you at home every night. Hawx hoped that buying Cypress wouldn’t turn out to be a mistake.
