Elena pressed herself against the wind, finding it difficult to push against he force that was much stronger than her small body. She looked up at the Nalumtre reactor ahead of them. It wasn't huge, dirty buildings, glowing with menace like the Mako reactors had been. These reactors had been built to blend in with the environment, another part of the eco-friendly design. The large building was built into the mountain, covered with thick layers of snow. She searched the cliff face for the door, a simple silver steel door sealed from the elements. she patted her pockets before realising she'd left her Shinra entry card in Midgar.User Image She had her ID but that didn't have clearance for such important buildings. She looked pointedly to Tseng hoping he had his. She wasn't prepared to wait in the icy wind waiting for the designated pick up time. She didn't even want to imagine how Reno and Rude would handle this kind of weather since this was usually her element.

Aerith pressed her fingers together and raised her thumbs to her lips. "Hmm...he only asked for a sandwich but perhaps a broth would help him? He looks so weary" she looked to Tifa for direction, the kitchen not usually her habitat. "Tell me what i can do to help!"

In the back of her mind her thoughts of Valencia tugged at deeper feelings, a peace that she hadn't experience since she was torn from her tome in the Lifestream with the little girls silver haired brothers and particularly of a young dark haired soldier. She sighed and forced them back, not wanting anyone to worry about something that couldn't be changed.

((Yar, I like it too! >.< I'm only doing it for Elena because she's on a mission, I wouldn't do it for my other characters))
((I THINK I got the info about Midgar right... i think))

"'fraid so... After Meteorfall, the actual city of Midgar was never rebuilt. Everyone moved on to a new city, one called Edge..." He pointed with his left hand out towards the city. "It's not as grand as Midgar, but that's where most of the survivors moved to."

"Hmph..." Getting irritated with the scientist, she increased the voltage even more, her hand twitching slightly as she did so. She herself doubted that this would work, but the professor seemed intent on believing otherwise.

Tifa thought about it for a minute. She then walked over to the refrigerator and opened it. She looked inside and pulled out several vegetables.
"You could help by cutting up these vegetables into more of a cube like presence while I cut these."
Tifa placed the carrots and potato's onto the cutting board for Aerith to cut. Tifa then took out a rather big knife and placed it gently next to the cutting board. Tifa then went back over to the cabinet and took out another cutting board. She placed it next to the pot, still heating up. Tifa placed about two cabbages onto the cutting board and started cutting it into strips.

Kadaj grinned as she struggled a bit against his grip but to no avail. "You're going to help us. You may not know who we are, but you'll find out soon enough," he said and nodded his head to Loz, who smirked and kept a tight grip on Cait Sith as he opened the door, letting Yazoo come in.

Taking a step into the shop, Yazoo pulled out the Velvet Nightmare and shot at the shop keeper, who had tried to get to Danielle before Kadaj did. The man went down with a heavy thud, Yazoo smirking and quickly turned away and mounted his bike, his brothers following suit as the Loz mounted with Cait and Kadaj with Danielle, the five of them quickly fleeing the scene towards the outskirts of town.

The pony stopped near the Seventh Heaven tavern, it's airy snort softly heard on the street. "Are you sure this is it?" the child asked, looking around the area. Climbing down, she took a few steps and then turned back to the ghostly looking pony. Stay here, okay?" she asked and then wandered around the street, trying to see if she could find the right place or not.

Cait Sith dug his claws into Loz's thick leather jacket, determined not to fall under the wheels of such a monstrous bike. He forced his eyes to remain open in case he needed to find his way back to Seventh Heaven without the aid of these men. He quickly booted up the video camera that filmed through the slits of his eyes. "Where are you taking us?!" he attempted to yell over the roar of the motor bike, but doubted the large man could hear his soft voice.User Image

Aerith took the knife and began slicing the carrot. It was skinny little thing, the quality you'd expect from a city ravaged by war or in Midgar's case, Meteor. However Aerith knew that if anyone could make it into a real meal, it was Tifa. She pushed the slices of carrot to the side and got to work peeling the potato. She clumsily maneuvered the potato across the knife, probably taking too much potato and not enough skin with it but eventually held it under the faucet to clean any remaining dirt from it's creamy surface. As she pressed the knife down onto the vegetable the little nagging voice in the back of her head began screaming at her, letting her know, something was coming and it wasn't meant to walk the realms the planet. The knife hit the chopping board with a loud thud as she gasped at the ferocity of the Lifestream. Blinking, she whirled around, dropping the knife with a clatter to the floor. Aerith glanced over at Tifa, before whispering "I'll be right back...". She raced past Tai and Jenova, not even looking at Mideel as she shot past and out the door. She noticed a whispy pony standing further down the street.

She'd never met Valencia but she knew that she was as much the mother of the girl as she was of Kadaj, Yazoo and Loz. When they'd joined her in the Lifestream, they had shared their entire minds and hearts with her, letting her feel their relationship with the child in the deep sleep. She soon knew how the girl looked, what she sounded like, what her presence felt like. She knew Valencia well. She could only hope if the girl was here, her brothers were not.

Aerith stood in the street, watching the small child systematically searching the buildings for something, and was unable to raise her voice at the lump that had formed in her throat at finally meeting the girl she did and didn't know.

Bella frowned. Midgar was not what she'd expected to say the least. However, if there was one thing she learned it was to never judge by appearances. She nodded to herself and prepared for what was to come. She knew that know they could see Edge and Midgar they would be landing, and the thought frightened her. Leaving the ground seemed so easy so it was only natural that the planet would make it harder to return to it. She glanced warily at the barren land surrounding the city, wondering where they would land.

Levana quirked an eyebrow at the disgruntled woman before her. She waved her hand to indicate Steiner should move away. "Alright, that's enough" she pulled two cords from a small machine connected to a computer screen on the desk next to them. she pressed on over the Mu's heart and the other on it's skull. She glared at the screen until a sudden beep was emitted, followed in quick succession by several more beeps before falling silent again. Levana's smile grew so large and malicious, it almost felt like her cheeks were splitting. "A success. Albeit, not the results I wanted, results none the less." she glided to the exit where a phone was located near the door. She pressed a speed dial button to contact the head of the science department. "The initial experiment was a success. Permission to proceed with experiment A13?" She loathed having to ask for permission for such ground breaking work but ever since Hojo's death and Meteor, Shinra had heavily involved itself in ethical decision making.

((Sorry, they're all pretty dodgy...just a bit upset right now and have very little creative enthusiasm...))

"Ngh..." Danielle bit her lip, fear and terror gripping her heart now as she was taken away on the motorcycle, away from Edge and away from her older sister. What was going to happen to her and Cait? What did these men want with the two? Her eyes flickered over to Cait on Loz's bike, the youth obviously terrified as the emotion shone clearly in her jade green eyes. Aerith, please... help us... she thought to herself, heart pounding painfully fast as they rode on...

"Hm..." Stan was scanning the distance, trying to judge where the best and closest place to set down would be. If they were too far from the city, some of the wild beasts that roamed about may try to get to them... but he needed a place with enough even terrain for the novice pilot to set down. "Alright, hold on tight. This may get a LITTLE rough."

Despite her irritation, Lexine couldn't help but smirk behind her helmet at the disgusted look on the professor's face. Her eyes flickered now to the man who was strapped on the table, eyes narrowing. She had been in that position once... awake and fearful, no terrified, as that mad scientist Hojo had stood over her and prepared the beginning of that painful operation that had left her this way, a piece of her humanity stripped away. She pitied that man, although she would never dare to admit it. It was only because she had been a subject of human experimentation before...

Tifa was about finished cutting up the vegetables she had when she heard a loud sound from behind. She turned to see Aeirth just before she ran out the building. Tifa picked up the knife and wondered what was wrong. Tifa took the vegetables that Aerith hadn't cut yet and finished cutting it. She took the vegetables and put them into the now boiling water. She started adding spices and flavoring to the water, giving it its broth like state. She started to stir, letting the water soften the carrots and potato's and letting the water absorb the the spice and flavoring. She looked to the front door and started to wonder if Aerith was alright.

(( Hope you feel better >.< ))

Bella gripped her seat and shut her eyes tightly. She felt a pressure on her ears and her hearing falter. She it was several long moments before she could feels the aircraft touching hit the ground, bounce once and settle, spinning blade whirring to a standstill. She held her eyes shut for a minutes longer to be sure. As she felt Stan moving near her she unsealed them and glanced around. She followed him out the sliding door and had to jump to reach the ground. As she grew accustomed to steady unmoving ground she took in her surroundings. The barren wasteland seemed to forboding she quickly turned to the massive city. It was a dull grey colour with a darker, destroyed city built behind it. "That's...That's where we're going, isn't it?" she asked pointing to Edge and Midgar.

Levana hesitated at the response from her director, the furrow between her eyes deepening, before nodding slightly to herself. She quickly hung up and beckoned for Steiner to join her across the room at the man's side. "He'll see that this will be beneficial. What he doesn't know right now can't hurt him." She injected the syringes of Nalumtre into the mans elbows and neck and placed sticky pads connected to her monitors by long thin cords on either side of his chect and temples. Her eyes flickered towards the armoured woman before her. "Hold his wrists and apply a 2000 volt current." she said firmly, stepping away from the table.

((I need Jewfy2u to post before I can respond as Cait Sith and Aerith, otherwise I'll hopelessly confuse myself.

Thanks guys, my best friends left this morning on a flight to America, on Christmas Day no less, and I won't see them for at least 3 years...It's going to be incredibly tough next year without them but I'll manage...

The three men wasted no time in getting Cait Sith and Danielle onto their bikes and away from the shop that now had a dead owner. Kadaj heard the question over the roar of their engines, but knew Loz wouldn't indulge the feline on the whereabouts of their destination. Kadaj didn't care much about the cat, but the girl would be valuable as to drawing in their Big Brother and possibly Mother herself, provided Valencia did her job right.

Loz held onto Cait Sith with one hand and drove his bike in the other. As he took his place along his brothers racing down the main street that led them out of Edge, he looked down at the feline when he asked where they were going. "It's a surprise, kitty!" he answered as the rows of buildings started to thin as they reached the outskirts.

Valencia was about to give up and search another area when she heard a nicker from her pale mount. "What is it?" she asked the equine, who swiveled its ears off to the side. The child smiled and walked to it, petting its slightly transparent muzzle and heard a door open. Turning her head towards the noise, she froze when she suddenly saw her. Was it really Mother? The one she and her brothers had been searching for so long? Her brothers had told her stories about Mother, and how they would live in paradise with her when they did find her. "Mother!" she exclaimed, making a few passersby jump slightly in surprise as she ran straight for Aerith. When she reached her, her arms wrapped around the woman's waist, burying her face in Aerith's abdomen. "Oh Mother we've been looking all over for you! I knew we would find you though! We've missed you so much Mother!" she exclaimed, looking up at Aerith with joyful green eyes.

((Sorry I took so long. I'm visiting my mom in washington state and having to deal with the drama that comes with it.))

"Grr... You creeps aren't going to get away with this!" Danielle growled, although the fear was still thick on her voice. She was terrified as they headed out of Edge, her home... She had no idea where they were going, but she knew that things had really taken a major turn for the worst.

"Yep. That's Edge." Stan had his shotgun slung over his shoulder with the old, tattered strap on it. Stretching his legs after being in the cramped helicopter so long, he looked around to make sure the coast was clear. "You want me to carry you?" he offered to the little girl, looking down at her.

Lexine hesitated for several seconds now as she stared down at the man. The horrors she had faced under Hojo's experiments were as fresh in her mind as if it had happened only yesterday. She knew the pain, the agony... How could she put any other living person through what she had endured, possibly something even worse. "No," she replied now, her eyes narrowed behind her helmet. "You weren't given permission to, and so I won't do it."

Cait Sith knew that if he'd been built to sweat he would have been drenched in cold fear. His eyes flickered everywhere they possibly could without drawing too much attention to himself. At Danielle's cry he glanced up at the bike Kadaj held her captive from. "Shut it Lassie!" h screeched, already wondering just how expendable he was to the three. "Behave yourself and ye'll get out alive!" he glanced warily at Loz, seriously considering his chances of survival from this escapade. User Image

Bella analyzed the the city for a few moments before nodding slightly. Embarrassed as she was to have to ride on Stan's back, she didn't think her ailing body would have been capable of carrying her that far and then some as they searched for Jenova or an inn for the night, whichever came first. "Where to first? Do you know Edge well?"

Aerith gasped as the small girl ran to her. she held her in her arms tenderly, a frown marring her features as she looked down at the head of hair. V...Valencia?" She pulled away from the girl to put her at arms length and squatted in front of her "How do you know me? Why are you calling me Mother as well?" She had a fair idea how and why but the pain made her heart ache and she pushed the thought away. Levana looked up from her work and pursed her lips. "Insolent whelp" she hissed, her hand delving into the depths of her pocket where her first dagger was located. Her hand brushed against a small phial as her slender fingers tightened around the leather scabbard. A cruel attempt at a smile slid across her face. "Very well, but don't come crawling to me or Shinra when you need the remedy for that...ability you have when the collective voltage around you is too high..." She said over her shoulder innocently and withdrew her hand, holding the serum Steiner needed to cancel her limit. She placed her gently back in her pocket, grabbed her clipboard and headed toward her office. If the experiments were going to rebel against her, she decided she had better things to do.

((Happy holidays everyone! And have a wonderful, safe, and prosperous New Year!!

"Uh... Not too well, but I at least know where a bar or tavern or whatever you call it is located... I've made a few deliveries there, so maybe I can get on her good side and convince her to give us a place to rest for a while." "Ah..." Lexine narrowed her eyes as she saw the serum that the professor carried, hatred and rage seeping into her heart. "That little..." Cursing under her breath, electricity crackled about her left hand. What she wouldn't give to just be able to kill this arrogant professor here and now, even if it cost her everything she had left.

My talents, being wasted on helping this woman when I could be doing other things, more important things if they'd assign me to them... I suppose I should at least be thankful they think me worth something still, or else I'll end up being her next experiment, she thought angrily to herself, glaring at the professor as she headed for her office.
