Cait Sith yowled in response to being yanked from the ground. The big man's arms were tight, he could almost feel the aluminium frame moulding around the stone hard forearm. "No! Danielle! Don't fight them! Yer weapon-less and don't know anything about yer enemies. Back off!" He scratched at Loz's arms as fiercely as a toy cat can with carbon claws, with little hope of surviving another bashing. His tail and vision were still out of sorts from the impact of the Lifestream and they were his greatest assets. Cait Sith No. 9, here we come... he thought morbidly as Kadaj and Yazoo led them from the shop.User Image

Bella nodded. "Yeah. It's OK. When we find Jenova, things will get better." she smiled at the thought of the motherly figure and hoped she'd find her safe and sound. She shuffled her feet on the floor and noticed a stiff rustling. She strained against her belts for a moment before reaching beneath the seat to pull a large folded and significantly creased piece of paper out from under. She frowned at it and unfolded the creases, gently smoothing it out on her lap. There were several splotches of green on a background of blue and all sorts of shade in between on the splotches. Little dots were marked all over the paper and she turned it around and around to figure it out. She couldn't read well but she remembered that N was always up. She looked for an N on the page and orientated herself. "What is this?" she asked Stan eagerly.

Aerith tapped her fingers on the bench, watching Mideel sip the water she'd placed in front of him. Realising he didn't have a sandwich or anything yet, she stepped away from the bench to help Tai. As she did, a large red snake slithered beneath her boot. She glanced down at the flash of colour and shrieked. She slipped in her haste to move away from it and landed on her rear. By the time she collected her wits the snake was dancing to and fro before her eyes. She frowned at the wavering light on its head before it dawned on her. She sighed in relief and looked across at the scared red face of Nanaki. "Oh, don't do that Nanaki! You scared the daylights out of me!"

Levana glared at the unconscious man Steiner dumped on her bleached white floor. She nodded her head towards the table she had set up in the weapons absence. "On the table, and strap him tight, I don't want flailing arms and legs everywhere we we begin. After that, sit her in this seat." she indicated a seat directly opposite the desk she was working at, with two Nalumtre full syringes delicately placed before her.

((K, so, I had this all typed out looking amazing yesterday that Gaia went skitso on me and I lost it. I was so annoyed I just left it, but I've come back to write it today. It's probably not nearly as good as it was yesterday.))

It was only because of Cait Sith's shouted warning that she stopped struggling as Kadaj dragged her off, helpless once more. How many times had she been taken captive? But this time her sister had no idea of her capture... and she had no idea what these men were going to do to her.

"Huh?" He looked over now, an eyebrow raised. "Ah, that would be a map... Actually, I forgot I even had that in here!" he exclaimed with a chuckle.

Eastern Continent - Midgar - Shinra Headquarters - Laboratories

Not even nodding, she walked over to the table and roughly placed the man on top, her hands moving quickly to strap him down tightly. Once she was sure he was secure, she moved to the desk to take a seat, frowning deeply. If Levana requested her to remove her armor, then she KNEW something would be up. She didn't think the professor would actually try to inject Lexine with Nalumtre, but she couldn't be certain...

Tifa entered the town with her bags of groceries, and smiled. She was finally back home after a while. She did love the adventure, but she did also love the place where she lived. She walked towards her bar, hoping to get some rest after days of traveling. Tifa entered the bar and looked around to spot a few people there, but mostly noticed Aerith and Nanaki. Tifa walked towards the counter and placed the groceries away where they should be. She placed the plastic and paper bags into a cabinet under the sink and looked towards Aerith and Nanaki. She walked over to the group and smiled.
"Hey there. How have you two been? Sorry that I haven't been here. I had to go to Junon to pick up something. So what are you guys up to?"

(( Sorry for the short intro @_@ I wanted to make sure I wasn't ignoring them too long. ))
((Damn, I'd hoped I'd get to be more active here but Christmas is really make things hard financially so I've had to take on extra shifts at work to make ends meet and just don't seem to have the time! But now I've worked out my schedule I'll do my best to get on and post more! Sorry for making you wait Rose!I'll leave any further map details to you sweatdrop
Edit: Nice to meet you Tifa! I'm Laleil.))

Tseng patted Elena awkwardly on the knee. "No. Calm down." he told her gently. He could practically feel the tension building in the young woman. "We're going to the Southern Icicle Reactor" He pulled several slightly battered pieces of paper from his jacket, one of them a map. "This is the reactor, it's right near the sea." He handed the map to Elena and quickly re-read the other pages. "Sightings of increased monster activity, power failures, the usualy dodgey reactor results." he sighed, handing her the other files to brief herself with. The helicopter was as cold as being on the ground, despite his hope. He frowned as she rubbed her chest, lossening the zipper of her jacket. What's wrong?" he asked cautiously.

Bella giggled with him and stared intently at the map. She did her best to locate their position but with no idea about scale and distance she just guessed the middle of the ocean. She wasn't even sure where they'd come from, all the little letters meant nothing to her. "Where are we on here?" she asked. "And where are we going? Which one is Midgar?"

Elena glanced up at her boss quickly. "Nothing. It's just a bruise from earlier. It's a big one but its not too bad. Nothing that'll disrupt me work sir!" she blushed, taking the papers from him to cover her embarrassment. 'He's just going to think you weak again if you keep this up Elena!' she told herself.

She looked at the map carefully. She knew the area they were going to. She'd come chocobo hunting with Reno and Rude to this particular area not long ago. She scanned the other pages he handed her. Just the typical mission requirements, special orders, equipment, materia, and risk involvement. She handed them back to Tseng after going over them carefully. She didn't want to mess up on yet another mission because she hadn't read the paperwork properly. Elena looked to Tseng expectantly for the materia she'd been given permission to use.

Aerith glanced up from her position on the floor with Nanaki to the young bar maid before her. "Tifa!" she exclaimed. "We were..." Suddenly she realised Mideel could pick up their little charade if Tifa or Nanaki started asking questions. "It's nice to see you again. Now, why don't you go into the back room and start getting supplies for this evening out" she said forcefully, hoping Tifa would recognise her que. She nudged her head in the direction of the back room and stood, ready to drag the woman if neccesary.

Eastern Continent - Midgar - Shinra Headquarters - Laboratories
Levana glared at the middle aged man on the table. She spun away from him in disgust and walked over to the bench Steiner had perched herself near heels clicking on the floor. She uncovered a small box, inside a recently deceased Mu. She pursed her lip and took up the syringes. Her eye brow rose at Stieners obvious uneasiness. Without further thought she inject the Nalumtre into the rodent through a bare patch or skin. She looked at the alarm clock placed across from her, standing silently for several long moments before finally addressing the woman in front of her. "Now apply a current through the beasts body, to the measure of 1000 volts." She struggled to hide her excitement, knowing that disappointment would be inevitable if she worked herself up.

((Aww, I hope things get better soon Laleil! I don't mind waiting for your posts. And welcome to the RP Tifa {is that what you want to be called?}))
((Sorry, didn't know if you wanted me to transition it or if you wanted to))

Near the Eastern Continent

Leaning over slightly, Stan pointed with one hand to one of the dots on the map. "That's Midgar, which we're getting close to. Actually, you might be able to see it in the distance along with the coastline."

"Tch..." Eyes narrowed behind her helmet, she placed the tips of her fingers on the Mu's body, measuring the amount she would need to use in her head before sending the current into the corpse. She had an idea of what the professor was planning, but she had the feeling she wouldn't like it much.

"Umm ok. If you say so.."
Tifa turned and walked into the back room. She noticed the tone Aerith used, but didn't know what she meant. She looked around the back room to see it full of dust. She sighed a little. She should've asked Marlene to keep the bar clean until she came back, but she'll have to do it herself later. She turned around to wait for Aerith to come in. Tifa took off her gloves, forgetting to after that last battle with a monster before arriving at Edge. She put her gloves back into her back pocket and waited.

(( Tifa is fine and thank you x3 ))

Tseng gave her a dissaproving look. He did not want to be heading into the unknown with a possibly injured Turk. "If you're sure. Tell me if it's paining you are you can't fulfil your duties. This is too important to make a rookie mistake." He glanced at his watch then up the front to Rude. He scanned the mountains flying past them carefully before announcing "We'll be there in a few minutes. Take your time to restock." He dragged a heavy tool box out from the compartment beside them and unlocked it. Inside where several magazines, accessories and armour. In the bottom was a velvet sectionwith grooves in it for materia. He took a fire and a barrier materia for himself and tossed Elena a fire materia. He nodded his head to indicate she was allowed one other. He frowned at the poor quality of the materia, but placed them in his jacket poket with his gravity materia anyway. He pulled out a few spare magazines and tucked them into his holster alongside his gun. "Remember, the sooner we get this done, the sooner we can search for Reno." he urged her.

Aerith grinned at Tifa as she joined her in the backroom, careful not to touch anything. "We're going to Shinra Headquarters. We need to talk to a scientist there before we can do anything to save the planet." she told her. "But that poor boy came in when we were preparing. We don't want him to get involved in this. It's too dangerous so we pretended to be..um the owners...of the bar." she chuckled shyly. as she explained, hoping Tai and jenova could keep things under wraps on their own. 'Who am I kidding? Tai's the one who came up with this decoy...' the nagging feeling that her dear little Valencia was near continued to tug at her conscious. User Image

Elena swallowed at the thought of the red haired Turk and took the materia from Tseng before reaching in to take a Restore materia as well. She tucked them both in with her ice Materia, or a much higher standard than the Shinra materia. "So we're only allowed two Shinra supplied materia plus our personal materia for this? Is it for cutting costs? You know, considering Rufus has all these new power plants you'd think he'd be willing to splurge a little on his Turks." she huffed, reaching in again to collect spare ammo. She didn't expect much resistance from the mosters out there, Nalumtre was supposed to be safe and environmentally friendly in comparison to Mako energy.

User ImageBella practically flew to the window in her enthusiasm. The ache in her head was returning but nothing could weaken her excitement. She watched the horizon intently, ready to pick up on the slightest change. After a few moments of watching the ocean, the deep blue shifted to a dirty brown of the coast line surrounding Midgar. As the flew closer she fell back in her seat to see the area was almost a wasteland. Those she'd seen - the only difference being this one was not covered in ice. "Oh. That's not where we're going is it?" she asked carefully. She'd heard long ago Midgar was the city of opportunities. She couldn't believe the greatest city in the world would be such a terrible location

Levana watched the Mu with increasing urgency, the man behind them all but forgotten. "Keep going. It's not enough. Up the voltage to 1500volts." She grinned as the hairs on the Mu's body stood on end. She struggled to hold herself back, wanting to look for further changes but afraid of the increasing power pouring out of Steiner. 'If it lives for even a fraction of a second that would be all I need to get permission to experiment on a human. Hojo eat your heart out!' she smiled wickedly.

It took a minute for it to sink in before Tifa realized what was happening.
"Ok..so you were planning on going to SHINRA headquarters to save the planet when a boy came in while you were preparing and now you are pretending to be the owners of the bar, trying to keep the boy from coming. Ok wait..how does being owners of the bar keep him from coming along?"
Tifa understood the first few parts, but not exactly the last part. She did, however, wonder about the scientist.

Tai was ratting his brain trying to figure out an excuse as for why Midel should turn back. He could tell this boy was a determined fellow and that a few stories wouldn't strike much fear. While looking around the room, wondering what to say next to the boy, an idea sprung to mind. Make the boy sick...was what Tai figured and he knew just how to do that.

Tseng sighed, shaking his head You know, in the old days you could have been fired for saying that..." he reloaded his gun and nodded firmly. He the chopp movements of the helicopter as it began its decent moments later. Tseng closed his eyes and muttered a swift prayer to the Leviathan. He looked back over his shoulder at his partner as he stood to disembark, checking she was ready.

Aerith grinned coyly. "Well, it wasn't my idea but if we can convince him it's too dangerous while not appearing as a threat we might convince him. And that's how it is." She looked around the room before locating a bagged loaf of bread. Her eyes light up and nabbed it, before turning to Tifa. "You...don't mind if we feed him do you? He just looks like he's wasting away. We couldn't just make him leave." she asked, innocently holding the bread before her, leading Tifa back out to the kitchen where Tai was staring intently at his sister. "You guys right here?"

Elena struggled to take a deep, calming breath before following Tseng to the door. She staggered as Rude lowered the helicopter above the frozen ground. Her mind suddenly wandered back to her apartment in Midgar where her warm baby blue scarf was slung across the bed head. She pulled her thoughts back together before giving Tseng a stubborn nod. "The reactors 50 meters North West of here!" she yelled as they prepared to take the large step from the aircraft, sliding door already open and snow flurries whirling around their face.

Tifa sighed and smiled. She could never really refuse friends, especially close friends.
"Ok ok you can feed him. I think you'll need to give him more than a loaf of bread though."
Tifa followed Aerith towards the kitchen. Tifa opened one of the cabinets and put a large pot onto the stove. She turned it on, letting the fire start and slowly heat the pot. Tifa poured water into the pot and took out a cutting board from the same cabinet. After kicking the cabinet door gently, she put the cutting board onto the counter.
"So, what will it be?" She asked Aerith.

Tseng jogged for clearance from the helicopter, waving to indicate he'd heard Elena's information. As soon as he was clear the worst of the wind he surveyed his surroundings. As she'd said, the reactor was located a short distance away. He waited for Elena to reach him and smoothed his hiar and clothes, always immaculate looking.
