Mideel took a seat at the bar looking at the man who came to serve him as he nodded. "No, but I do want a glass of water and maybe a sandwich if possible" Mideel said to Tai as he placed enough gil on the table to pay for it. He listened to the lady next to him complain seeing some entertainment in it but not showing it on his face. A good thing about being perpetually tired is your facial expression changed rarely and mainly stayed at, tired. "I also would like directions to the Shinra Headquarters if you by chance know where it is? I have some business to attend to their" Mideel told them as his face didn't show any reason to be suspicious. But unfortatnly subconsciously he clenched his fist that he was rest on the table.

Cait Sith glanced between the three large men and Danielle. "Uh...urr...Meow?" he squeaked. The look on the long haired ones face told him he was indeed recognized. However, Cait Sith was a master of manipulation. He crawled over to the little girls feet and started winding himself around them as he'd seen the other cats around Midgar do, purring and rubbing his face on her knee. He quickly shot Danielle a look that clearly stated 'Don't pick a fight with these guys' or at least that's what he hoped it looked like. He shook his head anxiously when she replied to them and hissed, doing his best to appear cat like. His springs and coils were wound tight, ready for a quick getaway. His body wasn't meant for fighting, that what the mog was for. If he was damaged here, he knew their plans would get thrown out the window.

((>_< These last few post between Cait Sith, Danielle and the remnants have made me laugh so hard {Easily amused}! That deserves a big thank you!))User Image

Aerith smiled over at Jenova "Sorry Mam! They'll be just a moment!" She grinned at Tai for his quick and crafty response andgrabbed the first clean glass she could find, wondering if Tifa usually just gave tap water. She knew the rich people above the plate had been disgusted at the cleanliness of the water in the slums but she'd grown up on it and come out OK. As she filled the glass from the tap and realised the Lifestream had purified it. Hurriedly she placed it on the table in front of the man. She didn't miss the tension in him as he mentioned Shinra, his hand balling into a fist. "I think you'd have to go through sector eight first, It's a bit of a walk and the train only come three times a day if you don't have a car. May I ask what you're doing going to Shinra anyway, Sir? I've heard they aren't hiring right now." If she could persuade him not to go to Shinra that day, they'd be able to keep him from the trouble that was bound to occur. She shot a glance to Jenova, warning her not to start giggling, barely keeping the smile off her own face.

((Also made me laugh like a loser when I read these posts. Perhaps I'm in a silly mood today - You also deserve a thankyou! >_< ))User Image

Bella frowned at his words. "But doesn't it stay the same? Like the dirt doesn't change colours." she asked softly, not understanding how it could shimmer and change so suddenly. The reflected light from it was almost blinding so she squinted slightly. A small dark shape appeared in the water and leaped out. She seen this chubby grey fish on a mobile in the shop she'd visited with Jenova. "Ah! A fish!" she giggled

((Sorry, I couldn't think of any other way to describe a dolphin...It's probably not even a dolphin in FF universe, but I can't think of any monster that resembles one))

Levana watched Steiner leave her office and turned back to the map. She made quick marking over triangle, symbolising a reactor, south of Icicle Inn and covered the map with more sheets. She read over the charts in the black folder again, a large black title at the top of the page reading Effect of applying voltage across Nalumtre (Solid, liquid, gas). She packed away her important file and left the office as well, locking it securely behind her, and headed to the Nalumtre Container.

((Final OOC note, I've had far too many of them today:
Storm, any random off the street will do. If I took someone's character, I don't think they'd be happy with me...^_^'
Heartbreak, Do you mind if we just hold off on your post for a little bit longer? It's just they're acting all sneaky and suspicious (and rather silly) and they're gonna try and get some information from him but if Nanaki can roaring in like that it would totally blow their cover etc. So can we have him come in like that a little later, and do it quietly through the back door? That seems more like what he'd do.))
((Roger that. Glad you're actually on when it's not 12 AM here Rose XD Now if only you'd be on an IM razz ))

Of course, seeing as how Cait was just a robotic cat, that expression was slightly difficult for him to get across. Danielle stood her ground, still trying to not appear intimidated by the taller man right in front of her, her eyes flickering about to his cohorts and the weapons along the wall. She couldn't immediately tell if there was one she would be able to handle easily or not, which meant she was at a disadvantage in this situation. After all, Cait wasn't exactly a fierce guardian.

"Uh, well... it's a bit complicated to explain how the sunlight works with the water and stuff... It's refraction, reflection, and other big scientific terms that I failed to learn." He stopped now, noticing the fish jumping out of the water. "Heh... I can't tell from here, but that may be a dolphin... I could be wrong though."

Steiner stepped outside into the cool air, but she didn't feel it with the armor that covered every inch of her armor. It'll still be a while before they add that thruster upgrade to my armor... They're still having trouble working out the bugs. Well, looks like I get to do this the long way. Bending at her knees she rushed forward, sprinting quickly down towards the city of Edge. Once she got out of range of Shinra HQ she smirked, moving her arms behind her. Activating the energy generators on her wrists she blasted forward, skimming along the ground as she headed for Edge. It wasn't as fast as an actual thruster unit, but it at least worked... she had to make sure those scis finished up on the pack they had promised her, especially if they wanted to use her as a blitz unit, getting in and out of places quickly.

Mideel gladly accepted the water as he drank it listening to the directions she was giving him. When Aerith asked him why he was going though, he kinda choked up on his water. "Ummm..." Mideel said debating something in his head as he looked at Aerith. Lie stupid lie, say you're going to visit a relative or something. Anything but the truth! Mideel thought to himself before he made his choice. "I'm going to see about Shinra's closing" he told Aerith the truth as he looked down at his hands twiddling his thumbs. "They're hurting the planet and... the planet's all I have" he said knowing how ridiculous that sounded as he waited for someone to go to the authorities now.

Tai bit his lip. He wanted to say something rather rude to the man but kept calm. "I wouldn't worry too much about going to Shinra. I mean it's the planet...it always works itself out. Nothing to worry about. " He replied while still cleaning. Tai really didn't want extras coming along with them.

Jenova made a motion of zipping her lips when Aerith shot her a glance. After hearing what the man had said she glanced around at the others but kept silent feeling it was wise to do so but she shot a puzzled look after Tai's comment. "Does he really think that...I can tell with him anymore..."

Mideel sat there for a second still staring down at his glass of water allowing the words to sink in. A mixture of emotions and words brewing inside of him he held within' in fear of offending the bartender. It perplexed him as to how someone could think that the planet just "fixes" itself when those events happened only a few years back.

"Ignorance?" Mideel asked the single word not lifting his head up. "Or for some reason you don't want me to continue" Mideel said thinking of a couple of good reasons some stranger wouldn't want him to go on. Mideel was too young, Shinra's too big, or the simply explanation that the bartender wished to keep his electricity. "Tell me if you truly believe that or just want me to turn tail and leave" Mideel said before taking another sip of his water, "please" he added just to be polite.

Tai turned his back to Mideel as he hung the cloth back over the sink tap and muttered something under his breath before walking over to a shelve "rearranging" it. "Yes, I do believe that." He replied. "Besides a kid like you shouldn't be messing with those Shinra dogs. Everyone knows how they are..." Tai knew his words didn't sound the most convincing but he thought he'd at least reply with something.

Aerith glanced warily between Tai and Mideel. She knew better than to butt in, Her own experience and connection with the planet would make every lie she told transparent. She grabbed her basket from Jenova's feet and placed it carefully under the bench in the kitchen, checking their map was still alright and unseen.

"I heard from a friend of mine that something big's going on up at the Headquarters. Have you heard about what's happening on the Northern Continent? All of Shinra's freaking out about that, so I would be very careful if I were you" she told him as she shuffled through the cupboards for a loaf of bread.

Bella was no scientist so the words he threw at her went in one ear and out the other. Keen to change the subject to something she understood, she sniffled "Why are you helping me?" she asked, keeping the desperation out of her voice. "Your life would have been easier if you hadn't gotten caught up with me and Elena and her friends wouldn't be following you."

((Um, I'll reply as Cait Sith once Jewfy2u has had a chance to respond.
Yeah, I'm amazing like that aren't I Storm?! Although I suck at staying online long enough to read replies. Speakign of Storms I'm barely lucky enough to get to post this, because a storm about to hit and the electricity bit shoddy.))

Valencia giggled when Cait meowed and started wrapping himself around her legs, purring and rubbing his face against her legs. With a smile, she reached down and petted the mechanical cat on the head, cooing to the feline.

Yazoo, however wasn't so amused. "Stay away from it, Valencia," he said cooly. The little girl protested, but Yazoo gave her a look that read don't cross me. When she backed off, his gaze returned to Danielle. Indeed, she did look familiar, though from where he wasn't sure. He looked to his brother Kadaj for any instructions, only to get a tilt of his head, indicating him to block the exit to keep any other patrons from entering the shop. With a sly narrow of his eyes and a light smirk, he started forward, touching Valencia's shoulder in a signal to follow, which she obeyed and the two walked out of the shop.

Loz watched as his brother and sister left the weapon shop and Kadaj continue with the girl. "Hey, you kinda look like Mother!" he blurted, his face slightly twisted in concentration as he tried to match faces with her and what he believed Mother to look like.

Kadaj was slightly irritated at Loz's exclamation. "She isn't," he said lowly. "But maybe she can tell us where we might find her?" he said, looking at Danielle with penetrating eyes.

Oh great. A bunch of kooks who think I look like the person they call Mother? Life must seriously hate me. She glared slightly at the one who walked by with the little girl, now realizing that her escape route was blocked. "Sorry, but I have no idea who the heck you're talking about. Now could you kindly get out of the way of my cat and I while I'm trying to get a weapon for myself?" she retorted, trying not to flinch at the piercing gaze that Kadaj had given her.

These guys... why do they remind me of...

This time, she couldn't help but flinch as an image of Sephiroth was conjured into her mind. She curled her right hand into a fist, the young Cetra trying to stand strong, her jade green eyes narrowed.

"Yeah, maybe life would be easier, maybe it wouldn't. I don't know." He tilted his head slightly, glancing at her. "But I can't leave someone in trouble, you see... Especially not one such as yourself. I ran so long without bothering to help others, I don't want to be that way anymore." He smiled a bit now, but it was one devoid of humor. "And the Turks following me? Eh, doubt some of those guys could find their heads if it wasn't attached to their shoulders," he joked.

MIdeel listened to the two as he contemplated what he was planning on doing. He was going to go into Shinra alone and then what? He had to admit there was a lot of flaws in it. He decided to take a little bit of their advice as he took out a coin. "Heads I go find Avalanche and still attempt this thing, tails I head north for what I don't know" Mideel said as he flipped the coin into the air letting it fall back down onto the bar. The coin jumped a little on the bar before rolling, it rolled off the bar onto the floor and continue to roll. All the time Mideel was watching closely as the coin came to it's end as it just simply fell into a vent on the floor.

Mideel contemplated how terrible luck he had before turning back around in his seat. He pondered whether or not this was a sign of sorts or just plain unlucky. "Another glass of water please" he asked politely putting down some more gil.

Cait Sith glanced back and forth between Danielle and the silver haired men concern for his friend growing. These men were never meant to come back! The damage they could cause was unthinkable. He knew if he'd been a dog rather than a cat, his hackles would have risen. He edged ever so slightly towards the young woman trying to remove themselves from the sticky situation. 'What on earth? Who do they think Danielle can lead them to?' He nudged her knee before hissing as quietly as possible "We need to get back to Aerith and the others before this gets worse."

Bella smiled softly. From what she'd seen of Elena and Kitty, Stan's statements seemed fairly accurate. "Maybe...maybe" she whispered, her heart swelling with hope for the first time in a long time. She looked down at the ocean again and instantly noticed another dark shape moving swiftly through the water in the opposite direction to them. This one sent chills running down her spine, because even from this height the shape was enormous. Her breathing hitched as she watched the little dolphin disappear beneath the darkness. "Where is it going?" she wondered aloud.

((Sorry, posting awful stuff and taking too long to reply! And I'll reply as Aerith a little later, but I feel like I'm about to pass out.))

Danielle looked down quickly at Cait now, finally breaking eye contact with Kadaj. She had heard his hiss, but she didn't know if they could get out or not... not with one of the three standing just outside of the door and keeping anyone from entering or exiting. She wasn't sure how well she could handle fighting these guys, but if she had to she would. I know, I know we need to get back to Aerith and the others... but what if these guys followed us on the way back? she thought to herself, glaring coolly at Kadaj once more.

"Huh?" Stan followed Bella's gaze, confusion spreading across his face. "Whoa... I don't think I've seen anything that big in the ocean before. What in the world...?" His hand gripped the controls for the helicopter even tighter, his knuckles white. Was it a monster down there...?

Bella watched intently as the beast swam directly beneath the helicopter, wondering if it could see them, but felt a breath she didn't realise she'd been holding release as it continued to through the icy waters of the Northern continent in the direction of Icicle Inn. She chuckled at her own paranoia as she settled back down in her seat, dabbing gently at the geostigma. "So...that's not normal?" she pondered, imagining what it would look like above the water.

Aerith stared at Mideel uneasily. If he could be so willing swayed be the simple flip of a coin she honestly feared for him. She called up a breath of the Lifestream, so fine it was near invisible and nudged the coin bouncing on the table. As it fell through the vent, Aerith wondered if this was the Planets message to the boy. She had simply intended to alter the outcome so he wouldn't search for AVALANCHE but the Planet seemed to think whichever choice she made for him would not come to pass. She took the empty glass, forgetting the gil (Her conscience wouldn't let her take the money since it was only tap water and they were decieving him) and refilled it from the kitchen.

"I think that's pretty clear..." Aerith mumbled as she placed the glass before him. "The Planet doesn't want you to go looking for AVALANCHE. But...it doesn't want you to give up on your quest." She didn't want to get him into trouble, or do something Tai and Jenova hadn't agreed to, but her job was to watch over the Lifestream and right now it was telling her not to loose this boy.

((I'm going away for a few days tomorrow, but I'll try to get one last post in before I leave in the morning.))

Tai was about the take the money placed on the counter until his sister shot him a rude stare. She knew he had been raised better than that to take advantage of people but it was more like she wanted to believe that. "Uhh..don't worry about paying..." Tai said feeling a bit guilty. "It's just water after all."

Jenova cringed, she sensed something familiar but didn't let the others know for they hadn't seem to have picked up on it either. "Bella?!" she muttered to herself wondering why it felt as if she was near. " Why does it seem like..." Jenova thought looking around in confusion, expecting to find the girl some where in the bar.
