[The RP is now open! Feel free to start posting.

Also I do apologize for my own opening post, this is what happens when I'm left alone with a scene, do not feel in any way that you need to match this in length or ridiculousness. Also if anyone wants to come across Felix, he is not attached to this group he's with so don't worry about that.

Have fun!]

Birds chirping should have been the first sign. Felix never heard birds chirping in the morning, certainly not before the sound of cars honking or someone downstairs yelling down the street for whatever reason. Though come to think of it he’d pulled the blinds down last night, why the hell was it to bright now? He started to open his eyes and through his grogginess he felt a strange weight as he tried to sit up. It only took a second for him to register that he wasn’t in his bed. He almost leaped to his feet at this realization but instead just looked down at his hands. Why was he wearing gloves? He quickly looked around and realized that he had been sleeping under a tree overlooking a pond in what appeared to be a loosely wooded forest. By this point he was fairly sure he was having some terribly lucid dream. This didn’t make any sense and while part of his brain was straining itself to piece together just what was happening, the other parts were all just sort of trying to balance processing his surroundings and the fact that it felt all too real. He looked down again and realized he was wearing some weird clothes. Lots of leather and what felt like padding underneath it, probably more leather, was this armor? It looked like something someone would cosplay but it was better quality…it was real. He finally leaned forward and got to his feet; he started to wipe his eyes and looked around. He had to say something to see if he could speak as if uttering words would somehow confirm that this was real and he was in fact where he seemed to be.
”This is ********] He didn’t finish his thought as it started to sink in that this was a very strange situation and it may very well be real. He looked around one more time and then took inventory of his person by patting himself down. He had a thick leather belt with a few pockets on it, it sounded like there was something metal in one of them but that discovery was quickly overshadowed by the fact that he had a sword strapped to his side; a real sword. There were no words to describe how surreal and confusing this all was. He fumbled with a strap for a moment before he was able to draw the sword and he quickly started to inspect it. He ran his thumb over the blade lightly finding it to be much sharper than he’d imagined. It looked like it’d never been used before. This was really strange.

Felix’s confusion and curiosity were suddenly interrupted by the sound of peoples’ voices approaching from over a little ridge. He thought about it for a moment then quickly returned the sword to its scabbard. He ran over to the ridge and lay down against the grass just behind a tree. He could see what seemed to be a road running through the woods and the voices he’d heard were a small group of people walking down it. He almost let out an audible gasp as some of the people weren’t people. One of them was hunched over and covered in fur or something and had really long ears that almost swept against the ground. That one was in the middle and there were a few humans with it. There was also a little thing walking with them as well, it had a little red…puff of…something attached to its head. It sort of resembled a rodent but it had little wings that didn’t seem to work. A sudden and even stranger realization came to Felix but was cut off at the sound of someone behind him shouting at him.

“What do you think you’re doing skulking around like that?” A deep, rough voice demanded. Felix, almost scared out of his mind quickly flipped over on his back, propping himself up with his elbows just enough to have three razor sharp blades pointed directly at his face. The blades were all attached to what was basically some fancy weapon wrapped around the owner’s hand, but the weapon wasn’t even what had Felix fumbling for words. It was the one holding it.

”Li…” The one with the weapon moved it closer to Felix’s face and looked angrier than he had a moment ago.

“You’d better consider carefully how you’re going to finish that.” The holder of the claw weapon was a tall and muscular creature with red, scaly skin, a long snout and a tail. Felix’s revelation finally finished processing with his brain. He even realized the mistake he’d almost made but still blurted out something stupid anyway.

”You’re a bangaa…” Was all he could manage. The bangaa, a creature that should only exist in the fantasy world of a video game pulled the weapon away from Felix’s face a little.

“And you’re a sneaking little Hume, what are you doing here? Where are the other brigands at?” Felix shook his head quickly.

”No…I mean, I’m the only one…I mean, I’m alone. I’m not a brigand I’m…” Another voice cut in as Felix finally heard someone else approaching. It was one of the other humans…humes, they were dressed in all white and had a sword at their side.

“That’s enough Rally, I’ve never seen any brigand so scared in my life. Any thief along these roads is usually too stupid to know to fear you.” Felix looked over and realized that his savior was a woman who was now eyeing him curiously.
“However I’m also curious as to what it is you’re doing sneaking about by yourself.” She went on.

Felix scooted away from the bangaa, Rally and sat up a little more. He didn’t really know how to explain this.
”I uh…I’m not totally sure. I just…woke up here.” Why he gave the truth was beyond him but what lie could he possibly concoct?

“This is a strange place to sleep stranger. With that equipment…where’s your clan?” The woman inquired, still giving Felix a quizzical look.

”I…don’t have one.” Felix was still struggling to put words together in this situation, it was starting to cross him mind what was going on. Bangaa, nu mou, moogles and clans, he was in Ivalice; the question however was how? How was he in Ivalice? This was supposed to be a fictional place that someone had just come up with for a video game, yet here he was, lying in the grass being glared at by a bangaa and what he only assumed was a paladin.

“Is that so? Then I’m almost interested in hearing how it is you ended up here assuming you’re telling the truth.” The woman seemed to trust Felix enough but the bangaa cut in.

“I still think there’s something strange about this one. I don’t trust him.” Rally sort of hissed the last part for effect. The paladin just shrugged.

“If he was a brigand, and there were others they’d have attacked while we were distracted with this one. Doesn’t matter much, we best be on our way.” At the paladin’s words Rally finally seemed to ease off of Felix. Rally started to walk back towards the group as one of them shouted to him asking what was going on. The paladin waited a moment longer though.
“If you really are out here alone, and you are as lost as you look, then you might want to follow us. We’re escorting someone so I’d appreciate you keep your distance but from here your right between Wood Village and Camoa. I think you’d have the best luck there since you clearly need help.” With that Felix was grateful for the advice but a little offended at the same time. Still, this was too strange to be worried about appearances yet.

”…thank you. I guess I’ll do that…what’s your name?” Felix finally decided to get to his feet. It was rather striking that this woman had picked up on the fact that he’d been in trouble without mentioning much else than his immediate confusion. The paladin gave him a rather cordial but forced grin.

“I’m Emmeria and our clan is called Sparrow. What might your name be?” Felix shook his head a little as he rubbed his eyes again. Everything was much too real for this to be a dream.

”Felix.” He responded rather quickly.

“Well then Felix, I’m glad I could help. And since you don’t have a clan while I do want you to keep your distance from us it’s probably best you don’t stray too far.” Emmeria’s words while somehow comforting to know he wasn’t totally alone were also a little concerning.

”Why’s that?” He couldn’t help asking. Emmeria eyed him a little more curiously.

“You really are lost here aren’t you? Since you’re not in a clan we can’t save you if you die.” At that Felix felt a drip of sweat run down his face. He suddenly remembered that phoenix down was an important commodity here and though he didn’t totally understand what Emmeria had just told him he got the gist of it.

”I…see…thank you.” To say this was overwhelming might be an understatement.

“Alright then, we’re still on our job so don’t drag your feet.” With that Emmeria turned and started back towards her group. Felix took one last look at his surroundings. How in the world had he ended up here and what was going on?

'Why is it so cold?'

A small ball of fluff rustled inside a partially broken wooden crate. First the arms came out, then the legs, the wings were next, and finally the little creature's head rose up. "Whuzzat? Did someone say something?" To Non's surprise, it wasn't something that someone had said, but rather a large crowd. Before him was a busy and bustling street, with characters walking up and down, none of which Non could identify whilst his eyes adjusted to the bright light. "What in the world is going on?"

After a few seconds, Non rose to his feet, not yet realizing that he was standing full height within a crate. He stepped out into the sunlight, still in a daze due to his recent awakening and change of setting. "Where am- Woah!" A mysterious large object swept into Non from the side and sent him airborn. His eyes flew wide open as he sailed a short distance. "What the *kupo* was that!? Wait what!?" Non sat up quickly. Looking straight forward, he saw a light brown pole. Wait, was it a pole? Re-evaluating the shape of the thing, he realized that it was, in fact, not a pole. Slowly scanning upwards he saw the rest of a gigantic female standing before him. 'Wait, are those bunny ears?' Was the only though Non could think before the woman spoke.

"Oh, I'm so very sorry!" She said in a very gentle voice. "I wasn't watching where I was going, I'm afraid. But... What were you doing so close to the ground? You could've been killed had a Seeq been barging down the street." The bunny-eared woman was knelt over, easily double, maybe even triple Non's size now that she was so close. A quip about ignorance ran through Non's head. There weren't many if any racists around his college that he had ever noticed. Those thoughts were quickly pushed back into his head as he realized who, or rather what, the woman was.

The next train of thought ran through Non's head almost instantaneously now that he had been awoken.

'Wait, she's not a giant woman. She's a Viera! Like from Final Fantasy! But wait, was there a convention in town? I don't remember anything like that. So does that mean she meant a Seeq, and not a Sikh? But why would she be talking like that? People don't just talk in character to strang- What in the hell!? The Viera had grabbed Non's hand to help him up, but the hand she was holding, which Non's brain was confirming was his, was small, white, and furry.
'No no no no no no no no no no no no no no no.' A sudden theory flew through Non's mind. There was a simple solution, but Non dreaded the answer. He tilted his head forward as he got to his feet. If only raising to a little above the Viera's knees wasn't enough, time seemed to freeze as a small yellow ball of fluff dropped into the middle of Non's field of view.
"OH WHAT THE *KUPO*!!!" Non yelled in a voice he was just realizing was much higher pitched than he recognized. The Viera woman jumped back in surprise. Before she could say anything, Non was off, darting into and out of the crowd. He had no idea where he was going, but all he could think of was that he had to find a reflective surface.
User Image"Haydon, this time, I've got something you can't refuse. So, if you're willing to part with this research..." Al's face was alight as he held some of the pages from the portfolio in his hand. He flipped the pages over and scanned over the vast amount of words and diagrams, all depicting the uses, properties, and abilities of Magicite.

"Alexis...I told you I can't allow you to take that. Every day you ask me if you can buy it and I tell you every time that it is not for sale!" Haydon, an elderly Nu Mou dressed in the garb of a Black Mage, reached out and took the pages from his hands, "I wrote this on my journeys with The Nu Mou Nobles, I'm sorry but this is for my own library, you can't have it." Al's face fell as he allowed the pages to be taken from his hands and returned to the vellum binding that kept the pages in order. It's not as if he believed he was actually going to obtain the report, but it was worth a try.

For the past year Al had been studying the power of Magicite and its counterpart, Nethicite. He had found the basic materials, but anything of greater detail was either locked up in some grand Library, or held on so tightly by old wizards, much like his friend before him, that Al had been forced to a stand still in his research.

"Haydon, I can't find any materials on Magicite! How am I supposed to continue my research at this rate?" Haydon turned towards Al and gave him a hard look.

"Your research is a fool's errand anyway, you know this. There's nothing to do once the deed is done, you have to let go this fancy of yours." Al sighed as the words his his ears and he shrugged his shoulders, turning away from the older Nu Mou.

"Well, if I can't use your research then I'll just have to find some Magicite of my own." he reasoned, pulled a few maps and charts off the mall and reaching for his gil purse, "I'll be taking these maps then." Haydon sighed as the two exchanged coins before Al threw the maps into his messenger bag as his side. He shook his brown hair out of his eyes before he smiles, straightening the bag and, vicariously, his white robes. Gripping the staff in his right hand he gave the older man a nod and spoke his goodbyes. As he left Haydon sighed, unsure what to think of the young man before he turned around, walking up the stairs of his book shop, not noticing the three pages which were now pulled from the portfolio on his front shop desk.

Al smiled as he flipped through the pages he had pulled from the portfolio, reading a bit of the material before shifting them quickly into his bag.

"I'll return it tomorrow, once I've copied down what I need." He reasoned as he looked back at the shop in question. The book was important...he knew that. But he needed it, he needed the research.

He needed a lot of things, if he was going to make this work. He just hoped that, once he reached the outskirts, he could find what he needed. There was magick in the air, he could feel something change in the mist...some ancient magic was at work...and he needed to know what was happening.
Light began to bask her face in warmth but the girl wouldn't care. Raising at hand she irrationally attempted to swat it away as she rolled over onto her same. Mumbling a name the words "just five more minutes" followed. Sometimes waking up in the morning was such a dreadful task. The girl enjoyed sleeping in from time to time. A shadow came over her covering the light and consequently the warmth. Although she hadn't wanted it blinding her eyelids she was enjoying the warmth.

"He... hey I said five..." Marie complained quite sleepily as she opened her eyes only to stop when seeing high heeled boots in front of her face. "...uh..." Slowly she sat up to find herself face to face with a... a VIERA! Great you are dreaming with your favorite race again... Marie thought to herself. It seemed to real to be a dream but viera's weren't real. What other explanation was there. "you're a viera!" The obvious was stated. Marie tended to do that, especially when excited. The scenery around her mattered little as she pointed at the creature in front of her.

The tall female rabbit humanoid tilted her head. "As are you... though... you seem different. I have never seen a Viera like you before."

Marie's eyes sparkled. This dream was perfect. She was a Viera!!!! Oh the puns that could be made... being raised with guys and having a few male friends she kind of knew what some of them would say. She wouldn't waste her time on that thought though. Standing up she finally glanced around. She was in a large valley with a river running through the middle. Being close to the water she looked in at her reflection. She saw it now. Whiter skin color, and shorter than the other. No wonder the other Viera found her odd.

Running her hands on her face she'd mush it like an aunt torturing a poor new born. It really felt real. Her skin had a softness to it that before didn't exist. Up on her ears she tugged at them. They were so fluffy! The sensation was honestly freaking her out. Marie didn't want to but she had to do it. Nails gripping her skin she gave herself a sharp pinch. Ok... so... if theories are right... this... this isn't a dream!? THE BOOOOK!? Everyone had been a bit skeptical about it. Marie hadn't. The idea of a magical book allured her. It was also the only way to understand how and why she was here. If she was... were the others as well? Would they have come to this world or to another.

"Are you alright?" The Viera didn't know what to do about the girl who was... was she shaking? Marie was excited to the point containing it inside was a bit difficult. The had only happened once before in her life, the first day of college.

"WOOOOOOO I'm a viera!!!!!!! This is awesome! HA! I even have a sword thingy... rapier... ra... I forgot its name but.... its shiney and pointy!" Marie continued on. Rambling things fast and changing topics even faster.

Calming down she turned to the other viera. "Ah... uh.. eheh... sorry. I'm fine. Just excited. My name is Marie."

((Apologies for the latness and lack of posting style. I got someone on it.... *coughcough*Candy..*coughcough* Also, someone can run into me if they want to. xD

Rory

Rory woke up just like any other day; sprawled out over goodness knows what he left on his lumpy bed. But it smelled like grass, which was weird because there wasn't a patch of grass within five miles of his tiny apartment. This, and only this prompted him to open his eyes, as he was perfectly content to sleep for most of the day. No classes. Upon the opening of his eyes, the man decided that he was most definitely not home. In fact, he seemed to be far from it. Ruins of great buildings soared above him, covered in grass and moss, flowers and all kinds of insects. Beyond that, he could see a vast forest and some type of bird he'd never seen flying over it. "Pretty.." He whispered to himself, almost sure he was still asleep, dreaming away of a fantasy world, But he never felt temperature in dreams, and this place was comfortably warm and the moss cushioned his bare feet. Rory looked down. His feet were not entirely bare, but covered by a type of stocking that seemed to be made of gossamer, spider silk. These hooked through one of his middle toes on either foot and came up to the middle of his thighs. On his arms were a similar accessory, coming up just past his elbows. The rest of his arms were bare up to his shoulders where a pale yellow, sleeveless midriff covered upper portion of his torso, probably sleeveless to accommodate for the delicate wings that sprouted from his back. Wings? "What on earth?" He touched them, leathery, like a dragon. They were small, but as he discovered he could consciously move them, Rory realized they were powerful and would carry him if he wanted. He even had a tail, and a set of thin horns on either side of his long black ponytail. He'd decided sometime earlier that this was most definitely not a dream, but even now Rory was finding it easy enough to accept. His mother had told him stories of objects that cold pull humans between worlds and his deep Russian roots had kept him believing in that kind of magic. He never stopped believing and was suspicious about that book as soon as he'd seen it. His favorite novel was 'The Neverending Story', so he was even hoping that the book worked in a similar way. Only this was not Fantastica, This could only be Ivalice. Something in his heart just knew. Something crawled over his foot, causing him to look down again, this time he noticed the small mound of his breasts. Rory covered them with his hands, giving them a light squeeze. Yes, they were very real. "Does that mean...?" He quickly pulled the pale yellow skirt away from his hips. Nothing. "Where the hell did it go?" The man(who was definitelya woman)'s vision blurred, then blackness. And he just fainted..

User Image It wasn't as if Al was one to butt into other people's business, he knew better than anyone that if someone wished to keep things silent, then it would be easy for them if he did not bother them about it. There was no issue in his mind that would have called him to break into someone's personal life. But today was a day that he wasn't soon to forget. As he moved through the crowds of people, weaving out and around conversations, he heard little snippets, even if he had no intention of doing so.

"OH WHAT THE *KUPO*!!!" It was a shout that many of the denizens of the street to turn towards the small creature as it darted up into the air, soaring through the crowds, almost running directly into Al if it wasn't for a quick jump to the side. He watched as the Moogle flew past him, almost a kind of blur, and he shook his head. What had happened? Who was that and what was it about?

It seemed that his questions, which is heard in his head, were the same on the lips of the people around him. "What was that about?" many asked as he shook his head, picking himself off the ground and continuing on his way.

"It's none of my business" he thought, shaking his head, "however...the mist that filled the air was...strange...it was as if the mist was flocking towards the moogle..." He sighed quickly before he continued on his way. Mysteries were mysteries, and unless he was supposed to learn it he wouldn't bother much with it.

He journey took him through the streets and, as he neared the outskirts of town, his eyes traveled around as, again, he came across a person who's mist was...strange. The mist again surrounded this person, a pair of Viera, and while it was no strange sight to see two of the same race mingling, there was a strange sense about the one. the Viera, with smaller ears and lighter skin, perhaps it was a off shoot of the species? A race that was only deep in the woods? that made sense, right? As he made his way past the pair he heard the conversation, again without meaning to.

"WOOOOOOO I'm a viera!!!!!!! This is awesome! HA! I even have a sword thingy... rapier... ra... I forgot its name but.... its shiny and pointy! his head cracked to the side quickly that his neck verbally cracked. He grunted in response and stared at the pair quickly.

"...A Viera...Who's...not a...?" He questioned softly to himself, or at least as softly as he could. He observed the girl for a moment before shaking his head. The mist was surrounding her, almost radiating off of her, as if magic was somehow dripping from her pores. But...what was impossible unless one was on the receiving end of very powerful magick.

Let it be known that Mages, while powerful and able to feel the mist, cannot see it. Mages can feel it, however and from this woman...he felt it in waves.

Apparently this city that clan Sparrow was heading for wasn’t as close as Felix had hoped. It made sense that the towns wouldn’t be that close together, after all in game travel time between them took a day…but this wasn’t like a game…it was a game, but it wasn’t. So he wasn’t really sure how long this would take. He could see more light and what looked like some fields so they must have been close to the edge of the forest finally. The group ahead of him was continuing to converse lightly amongst themselves. Occasionally Emmeria or Rally would glance back at him either to make sure he was still there or to make sure he was keeping his distance. Either way, this trip was both tiring and uncomfortable.

As the group began to leave the woods Felix could hear one of them pointing something out to the others and point. Felix was curious but waited a moment. Emmeria and Rally, apparently now Felix’s keepers, started to walk back towards him and Emmeria waved for Felix to meet them halfway. He walked up to meet them and quickly inquired about what was happening.

“It seems there’s someone else sleeping in a strange place today. Friend of yours?” Emmeria posed the question somewhat jokingly but for all she knew the two strangers sleeping in the middle of nowhere might know one another. Felix just shrugged and looked in the direction they’d been pointing but couldn’t see past a couple of trees. He could see some old ruins but not the person.

”I can’t imagine…but why isn’t Rally’s blade at their neck?” He posed the snide remark while eyeing Rally to see how he’d take it. Rally just snorted and crossed his arms over his chest.

“This one’s still asleep…or worse. Doesn’t look as much a threat to me and if it is then going to investigate would only invite the danger. I say we leave it but the others were curious.” He sort of growled the answer. Felix did feel a little bit of worry though if there was a person just lying in the middle of nowhere. He was hoping it might be someone he knew but the chances of that felt slim to none.

”What if they’re hurt? Eh, you know what; if it’s that much of a liability then I’ll go investigate myself. If you need to keep moving I understand. I think I get the idea of where we’re going.” Felix took a step away from the two towards where everyone’s attention was focused. Emmeria spoke up behind him though.

“That’s kind of you, we’ll join you though won’t we Rally?” She glanced at her bangaa companion to see the look of annoyance on his face as he begrudgingly agreed and followed after her. Felix looked back and nodded before he picked up his pace and started to jog.

When he finally left the treeline he finally noticed the person everyone else had already seen. It looked like a woman lying beneath a tree, not too different from how he had been. She wasn’t moving at all though and even from this distance the fact that she hadn’t noticed the commotion of the others seemed a little odd. Felix slowed his pace a bit as he approached the unmoving figure and quickly realized that this woman had wings and horns…even a tail as it seemed. She was gria, another non-hume race but one he hadn’t seen until now. He was curious, but also a little worried as to what she was doing passed out here alone like this. Felix neared the woman and he felt a strange sense of familiarity with this woman. It didn’t make sense because he hadn’t ever seen her in his life, he certainly didn’t know any gria; how in the world would he have before now? Still, the feeling of knowing her made him lose his sense to be on guard in case of a trap like Rally had mentioned. He quickly knelt down next to the woman and tried shaking her shoulder lightly.

”Hey, you okay?” Dumb question obviously. She didn’t seem to respond much, it didn’t seem like she was sleeping. Felix heard the other two catch up to him. He heard Rally first.

“Not dead is she? Either way, this doesn’t seem like our business, we’ve already had one set back on what should have been the easiest job we’ve gotten.” He turned to Emmeria to see if she agreed. He knew she wouldn’t share his cynicism but was pessimistically hopeful anyway (whatever that meant). Emmeria of course wasn’t as cynical about this and walked over next to the woman’s other side and checked her pulse.

“She’s alive. Nothing appears immediately wrong with her. Maybe she passed out.” She stood up but stayed close. Felix still couldn’t shake the feeling that he somehow knew this woman. He wasn’t really aware of the protocol for assisting someone who’d passed out but he slipped one hand under her head and propped the woman up a little using his leg to rest her on, still holding her head. He didn’t want to make things too much worse but he tried shaking her lightly for a second.

”Hey, this isn’t the best place to take a nap. Can you hear me?” This day just wasn’t going to go smoothly was it? Rally still had his arms crossed; he seemed bothered by everything though. He just tapped his right foot as he waited.

Rory woke this time, not to a smell, but movement. The world was shaking violently, no, he was shaking. There were hands around him, one gently cupping his head. "Ugh... What happened..?" The human turned gria groaned, sitting up on his own and slowly blinking the world into existence again. All he saw was the man, a familiar man. Chartreuse irises visibly swelled with recognition and joy as he jumped into the man's arms and exclaimed, "FELIX!! Oh, my goodness! I'm so glad you found me! Do you have any idea where we are?" He wasn't really asking because he wanted to know for he already did, he was incredulous. This was just amazing. Then he remembered his recent gender switch and clarified for his classmate with a sheepish smile. "It's me.. Rory. The, uh.. Book decided to make me a lady.." He still wasn't sure how he felt about that.
It was then that Rory noticed his friend's companions. A human, and what seemed to be an upright lizard. Thinking on it, Rory recalled that these creatures were called 'bangaa' and he really should never call them lizards. He hated to be offensive. "Who are your friends?" He asked innocently, a bit ashamed he hadn't noticed them before.

Aged Shade

Rory Adrian Barclay

The woman did start to wake up which brought Felix some level of relief. She mumbled something and as would be expected seemed a little groggy. As soon as she got her bearings though she suddenly threw herself at Felix and…called his name? He moved his arms to lightly keep her up so she wouldn’t totally fall but how in the world did she know him? She then asked if he knew where they were with a rather familiar tone. Though not entirely seeming to require a response Felix sort of tried to speak.

”I…kinda.” He started weakly but the gria continued. She then made a forced smile and said she was…Rory…
”Rory!...Wait what…” He was about to question “what book” but it suddenly came back to him. Waking up in a fantasy world from a video game he’d almost forgotten about the night before. The book he bought, had that thing actually worked? Whatever it did it made things very strange…and apparently Rory a girl. For some reason given the circumstances Felix believed the gria as the explanation “the book turned me into a lady” implied that he was in fact who he said he was and most likely from the same world as Felix given his…her first rhetorical question.

Rory inquired about Felix’s distanced traveling partners, who at this point were both watching on with very confused looks…though Rally still looked both confused and upset as always. Felix looked back to them and let out a brief sigh as he tried to figure out exactly what to say. He looked back to Rory first.

”This is Clan Sparrow, there are some others over there on the road. The paladin’s name is Emmeria and the pleasant fellow over there is Rally. They’re escorting someone to some big city…Camoa?” He looked back and Emmeria nodded to confirm that he got the name right, though she looked confused as to how he still hadn’t known that in the first place; though that wasn’t the only thing confusing her at the moment.
”They offered to…show me the way given I don’t get in their way.” He just left out the part about having to walk a good hundred yards away. He then turned back to Emmeria again given she seemed to be the one in charge.
”Turns out I do know this person. I think we’ll be alright if you want to continue on. We’ll keep up.” Emmeria nodded then motioned for Rally to follow her back. Rally just snorted and hissed some other remark under his breath. Felix returned his attention to Rory.
”You can walk right? I was worried until you shot up at me like that. And…wait…so you’re like…a lady?” He didn’t know how to word that question appropriately so he just let it hang as a moronic one that could have been posed by a four year old.
”We’ll let them get a head start, then I guess we can compare notes on the way. You really think it was that book?” Felix looked back as the group slowly started to move again. He could see Rally shaking his head about…well, probably all the strangers they kept picking up.
Her head was spinning trying to understand what had happened. Their wishes, going to sleep, the book then waking up here. Oh please don't let this end, she prayed inside of her head to some unknown God. This was too good, this was perfect. No grandparents, no annoying brothers, no college and excruciatingly hard medical classes! Yes it seemed she had quite the negative thoughts on her previous life, in a way could you blame her.

"Where are you from? Why are you different?" The Viera questioned getting real close to Marie and slightly tugging on her ears. She was baffled at the sight before her. This breed had never been seen or heard of before. Marie wince and flailed at the tug. It sent a whole sort of odd feeling chills spiral down her back. "Eheh...that... feels weird...stop.." She managed to utter as she began to ponder if this was how cats and dogs felt when their ears were messed with. Pulling her hand back the Viera apologized. "Forgive me. Just wanted to really see if they were real since they are different from my own. It wouldn't be the first time a Hume tried dressing up like one of us... I am Shari."

"Oh! Nice to meet you! You are the first viera I've ever seen face to face. I feel so honored!" Marie bubbled out, her excitement showing again. Once again she was acting a little peculiar for the viera.

Marie's eyes scanned up and down the woman rabbit taking in all that she could. They really were quite tall and graceful looking. "Where do you come from?" The viera seeing that Marie's attention seemed to be on her once more, questioned in hopes of getting an answer this time. It seemed that the smaller female was distracted once more, this time with her weapon which was now unsheathed and in her hand.

Shari could only sigh as Marie intelligently avoided the question by using her hyper attitude to her advantage. Oh she had heard Shari all right, she was just opting to pretend she hadn't. "It is so shiny... ouch... and sharp too... son of a..." Marie commented and cut herself in the process though that didn't stop her from swishing her weapon around, twirling and zipping it through the air.

"Marie!" Shari called out to the girl with a bit more fierceness to her tone. Marie froze which resulted in the blade slipping out of her grasping flying into the mage's direction, unnoticed by the both of them. "Calm down and answer me.... and......." Shair caught onto where the blade was heading and what was in its way. Baffled and unable to put the happening into words she merely pointed.

Marie turned her head and looked with a stunned face as her lips slightly opened letting out an "oops..."

Al's focus was broken, not by the sounds of the shouting coming from the Viera before him, but from the sudden warm feeling that came increasingly greater from his left arm, where he held his staff. He looked over to his arm, a confused look on his face for a moment before he suddenly realized what exactly had happened. He saw a small amount of red beginning to stain his white robe, a numbing feeling around his shoulder and a strange thing in his vision. He turned his body, realizing he still could, and looked as the blade sailed past him, people who were more aware than him getting out of the way before with a defined thwap, the rapier lodged itself into the door frame nearest him. He looked back down to his shoulder, and it was then that the pain began to hit him.

"Oh look...I've been impaled..." he muttered to himself before he shook his head, the pain increasing to the point where Al could no longer ignore it. He cried out, falling to his knee instinctively as he gripped his arm, squeezing to stop the bleeding any further than he could. He took a few deep breaths as he attempted to focus his thoughts. While the gash was not that deep it still ran the risk of becoming infected if left open. He closed his eyes and chanted softly, almost rhythmically, the spell for the basic spell of the White Mage: Cure.

Rory waved a little at his friend's companions, relieved that he didn't have to go out on his own. The gria paled, and sheepishly let go of his friend, and stood on his own. "Yes, I can walk. At least you were near people when you woke up here. These ruins were my only company." He added, albeit quietly. "And then I passed out."
He motioned over to where he was laying before, but this time he noticed something he hadn't earlier. There was a bow, sturdy by the looks of it, and a quiver, stuffed with arrows. Excellent. He picked them up and strapped them to himself accordingly, having trouble figuring out how to place everything around his new bust. This motion alerted him to the little dagger strapped to his left thigh. At least I'm not unarmed.
"A lady." Rory nodded at Felix's next question, finally able to have some sort of privacy to talk after the others went ahead. He couldn't help but bitterly think of his mother and how she would be happy about this. He... still wasn't sure that he liked it. But Felix deserved attention. "The book has a mind of its own. Surely we've all ended up here somewhere. You've played the games. You know how it is, yeah?" The gria wondered if indeed all of his friends ended up in Ivalice, like he and Felix had. He himself had just finished playing Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, so the idea of a book transporting him here wasn't all that far-fetched. That and his Russian blood held fast that belief in magic. A belief that he'd never let go.

There was a sense of irony in the fact that Non was flying in an effort to confirm his transformation. His wings had just taken over after he had reached a certain speed. Eventually he found a small pool of sitting water. As he looked over the edge, his conclusion was confirmed, much to his dismay. "Yup." The small creature slowly fell onto his back. "I'm a *kupo* Moogle. Who apparently is no longer allowed to swear. I'm sure I'll be shocked about the overall situation I'm in eventually, but for now, why the *kupo* am I a Moogle? I can't be more than three feet tall! I thought I had it bad before, but this is..." Non's thoughts trailed off as he rose to his feet.

Non had noticed in his reflection that he was wearing an interesting outfit. A forest green bandana covered his head, while a coat of the same color covered his small body. After examining himself, Non found a small dagger and a small sack of what he could only assume were Moogle sized potions. There wasn't much doubt at this point that he was in Ivalice, though given the amount of games Non had played that took place there, he couldn't figure out which version of it, not that it mattered much to him.

After deducing that he was a thief given his garments, Non decided he had better get stealing. The local inn couldn't be particularly expensive, and he figured that given his natural ability to go unnoticed he would have a fighting chance of having a place to stay for the night.

After floating around for some while, Non ended up near the edge of town, where there seemed to be less people bustling about. Non was thinking rather vigorously as to how he'd steal money from someone, he had never tried anything of the sort as a human. Before he could reach a conclusion, he was shocked back into reality by what he could only assume was a sword of some sort flying past his face.
"*KUPO!*" Non shrieked as he fell onto his back. He looked towards the direction that the sword had been thrown from to see two viera looking back at him, or rather past him. This led Non to look to where the sword had gone, which to his initial horror, seemed to be an impaled human, or hume, or whatever they were called here. "What in the world was that for?!" Non yelled at the viera before turning back towards the man. As he turned, he noticed a glow appear around the mans hand as it hovered over the wound. 'What the hell is going on here?'

"Sixteen thousand gil?" Gurdy the Moogle raised a furry brow, eyeing an ornate hairpin incredulously. "I'm not made of money, kupo!" She turned to the shopkeeper--the Bangaa folded his arms, bracing himself for an unreasonable counter-offer. Gurdy was a frequent visitor to his market stall on the outskirts of town, but she drove a hard bargain--very rarely did they settle on a price they were both happy with. "I'll give you thirteen thousand."

"Sixteen thousand is little to ask for such fine craftsmanship, Miss. It's one-of-a-kind; I guarantee you won't find anything quite like it in the whole city. And it isn't just for show; it is an asset in battle, as well."

"Even so, I doubt you'll find anyone on this whole continent who would pay more than thirteen thousand for it!" the moogle answered curtly. "But I'll play along--how does 13,500 and a free chocobo ride sound?"

The Bangaa shopkeeper didn't have time to mull the offer over, because in that moment, a young man in the crowd was struck in the shoulder by a stray dagger. Gurdy recognized him immediately. She uttered an exclamatory "Kupo!" before excusing herself quickly, leaving the grumbling shopkeeper to his wares.

"What in the world was that for?" a moogle dressed in green spat at the offending Viera. There was something ...off about him; something distinctly un-moogle-like in his mannerisms, but Gurdy couldn't quite put her paw on it. That, however, was not her main concern.

"Alexis, are you going to be all right!?" she fretted over the white mage as he began to heal his would. "Oh, your mother would be worried sick if she knew about this--! Do you need a potion? Are you dizzy, kupo? H...how many pom-poms am I holding up?

Not only was the man impaled but a moogle nearly avoided her own blade. Something in her gut told her this wasn't going to turn out all that pleasant if she didn't play the rest of her cards right. Her face just sat there with pure dread at the sight of blood coming from the male. Should she help him, would he want her help!? The moogle in green yelled at her as well, yelling wasn't helping. Head hanging low she sheepishly stared at the ground while her thumbs twiddled around one another not knowing how to answer. "It... slipped..." So far Marie couldn't help but feel like she was a pathetic viera. Shari sighed and patted Marie on the shoulder and went to help the strange girl out. "She is new with the weapon. Are you alright?" Shari approached the male who had be harmed but stopped when seeing yet another moogle come in with great concern over the male.

Marie stood there frozen like a rock except for the movement with her fingers. She was debating running for the last thing she wanted was to be ganged up by moogles. They were just to fluffy and cute to be violent. Her thoughts were broke as Shari returned with her rapier in hand. Blinking back to "reality" she took it. "You must always keep a strong hold on a weapon, especially if you are to get so easily distracted..."

ooc: sorry it may not be that great of a post v.v
