Dameon shrugged taking the initiative to be the first one in, pushing his way past the group and dropped the corpse on the ground in front of him. Noticing the sniper's he smiled, the woman that had assaulted them earlier had definitely come from here or at least killed one of these people and stole their robes. "Hello there! fear not we come in peace, Hell we even bring gifts!" he said nudging the woman's body down onto the soft grassy floor "This woman tried to bring this as a surprise gift to you" he said lifting the unknown man's head depositing it next to woman's corpse. "Now if you could kindly tell me who this person is it'd be very much appreciated!"

She was sleeping on the back of the ship when she woke up hear Bob start yelling. Lore was still tired after dancing sporadically for the past week. She had lean to dance that well from a man in Nashtown (Nashville) that payed her to be a merc with teaching her how to dance. She sighed as she go up from her resting spot and looked to the side of the boat to observe the marsh in front of her.

"Well, it certainly is the same dark and dreary place when I left it." Lore thought." How on earth were they able to build a vault on this kind of land and where could it be?"

As she kept looking over the land, should couldn't help but to feel like this was going to be very dangerous and that someone was walking the ship.

Cedar the Treeminder

It was dark. Elm looked down the rocky sides of the mountain and saw a group of travelers. They looked like they were looking at a map and heading right towards the hidden gate. Elm, in panic, picked up his rifle and pointed it at them. He tried his best not to fire but his nervous shaking pulled the trigger. The bullet zoomed past the tall one's head. In a large burst of panic he released some piss and a scream. After he realized his mistake he yelled to the travelers,"That was a mistake!" and remembering his duty,"But leave! No travelers aloud in Oas-..." realizing the seclusion aspect of Oasis that he just blew,"Turn back!"

Dameon looked up again as the bullet whized past his ear, he was fine with this he was accustomed to firing off warning shots as well this was no different. "Let me guess you recently have had someone murdered and are on lockdown?" he said drumming his fingers against his sides. "Well I think we may have caught the person that did this, could you open up the gates please?" he said placing both hands behind his head in a show of peacefulness.

Avani had started panicking the moment the shot was fired and quickly dragged Camellia behind the closest cover - the towering armor Zera was suited in - before checking everyone over to see if they had been hit. While the scout apologised Avani gave Zera a quiet one of her own, compete with a slight blush at the blunder of having used him as a human shield. "Sorry, force of habit."

Sighing at the scout and Dameon's social blunderings Avani moved cautiously from behind their companion, making certain her weapons - besides the gauntlets she always wore - weren't in easy sight. "Please sir it's getting dark, we need a place to rest or we may get attacked - we came all this way, won't you at least let us stay for the night? I promise we aren't here to cause trouble."

After a few moments to be sure he wasn't again going to open fire Avani would reach for Camellia - had she not wandered out on her own - and giving her a nod to the younger woman to speak up if she wanted to add anything to emphasize the point.

Elm was shocked. The travelers knew of the murder earlier in the day and might have the murderer's corpse... or it could be a trap he thought... he went to the guards' hut a few feet away and awoke the day guard, Fir. "Wake up!," Elm said slapping his colleague. With a groan Fir asked,"Why?" "Go wake Cedar and bring him here. We got travelers that know of the murder." Fir got up slowly and walked nonchalantly towards the pavilion. "Faster!" Elm said making his friend only move slightly faster.

Elm returned to his post and called out to the group,"Uhh... come up to the gate and await.. uhh.. further inspection... but don't try anything funny."

Fir sleepily walked into the pavilion and shook Cedar saying,"There are... travelers that... know murder"

Cedar awoke and followed Fir out of the pavilion and towards the gate.

Avani smiled to the guard, her response cheerful, though it hinted of nervousness and a lack of proper sleep. "Of course - that shouldn't be a problem."

Turning her attention back to her group she took a deep breath, nodded to them and started walking down the path so she could more easily be observed. She wasn't sure if the others would follow but she was telling then truth earlier - she was indeed worried they would get attacked outside and if this place could be friendly she wanted to follow Camellia's earlier example and try to keep them that way...

While she wasn't entirely sure Dameon's decision to declare so openly that they knew something about a murder that they were only hoping was someone that they cared enough about to be thankful was the right way to go, she probably wasn't going to convince people she was harmless enough to provide shelter for standing at a distance hoping they came to that conclusion of their own.

"I have some molerat meat to share if food is the issue - a pair of legs that I haven't had the chance to cook yet. I also have a few odds and ends - a box of Salisbury steak and an instamash..."

Camellia blushed as Avani moved the map into the correct position. "oh yeah, sorry" she muttered sheepishly, watching as Avani pointed out where they were on the map and over all navigating it better than she ever could. "wow thats amazing Avani, your so smart" she cheered, genuinely impressed that Avani could achieve the harrowing task of reading a map without computer assistance. She smiled back at her guardian and nodded, ready to follow behind her. As Dameon took out the corpse and the severed head Camellia looked away, almost gagging again from the sight. She ducked behind Avani, who in turn ducked behind Zera, when she heard gun fire and began trembling a bit. When Avani asked the guard if they could stay and nodded to her Camellia stepped forward and got down on her hands and knees. "oh please sir, I've heard that this is one of the safest places in the entire wasteland. All I want is sanctuary from this cold dark hell hole of a wasteland. Please the others aren't even planning to stay, just me. I can do whatever jobs you might have, and I don't eat much or take up alot of space. I promise I'll do whatever is asked of me. ANYTHING!" she cried, groveling in the dirt, doing a great job playing up how sympathetic she was. Also at some point her jumpsuit had somehow gotten unzipped, revealing a good amount of cleavage. Whether this was an accident, or intentional in order to persuade the guard into letting them in was unclear.

Company: Meryl, Gaige, Deadshot, and Lore.

Bob looked at both Deadshot and Lore and gave them a smile and a wave. "morning guys, and don't be so grumpy Gaige, after all we finally get to set out for the vault now" he said. When Deadshot asked about coffee Bob just shrugged. "sorry, can't help you there. I've got plenty of irradiated water though" he told him, holding out a jar of dirty water, clearly not a good substitute for what he needed. "and yeah its a good thing I'm around, but we're gonna have to find a way for you guys to get in if these swamps are as irradiated as they say" he said walking off inland. "come on guys, lets not dilly dally!" he called heading off without a care in the world.
Gaige sighed and hopped up onto Deathtrap. "come on then, place isn't going to search itself. These coordinates are pretty broad, so we should ask around and see if we can narrow down the search any" she advised, checking her pipboy. According to the coordinates they had the vault could be anywhere within a 10 mile radius somewhere inland in Del War, so they'd have to depend on local rumors to try and trim the fat so to speak. Not to mention her pipboy didn't even have a full map of Delaware loaded, and it could only map out so much at a time, hopefully someone had a holodisk with a map stored on it. As they traveled they came upon a border sign that read "welcome to Delaware!" though the first A and second E where worn off, so the sign actually read "welcome to Del war !" "well I guess that explains the name atleast" underneath was second sign that read "Delmar, the city to big for one state" though some smart a** had crossed out "for one state" and gratified "for its own good" underneath. A few minutes later they came into a rather large town (approximately twice the size of megaton) and people were walking around, buying and trading stuff, inspecting gear. It was pretty much exactly like a settlement from the capital wasteland, well except for the guys dressed up as redcoats and blue coats marching around, patrolling the area like some sort of guard. "who the hell are those weirdos?" she muttered, wondering what crappy textbook they had gotten their outfits out of.

He fallowed the group watching the swamplands for any trouble and keeping an ear on Gaige's gigar counter. Ounce they reached the settlement Deadshot's face flashed with confuseion before reconiseing the outfits from his enclave education." They're dressed in reviutionary uniforms of the american coninists and british army.." he said still somewhat shocked as to why untill he took out a notepad and scribbled something down."well another note in my weird wasteland list.." he mummbled to himself before heading into the city.
While staying close to the group he scaned the area for an armory or avalible ammo bench.

“Thinking nothing of it, if things go South, I can buy you time to take the girl and make an escape,” Zera stated to Ammit-Chan, “alright?” And then Zera focused on what was more immediate at hand: the folly of their sniper: seriously, did idiocy just happen to be handed out freely today? What was n thinking, establishing the start of their approach to the people of Oasis – generally a peaceful sort – as a bunch of war-mongers trying to ask about a body?! Their primary objective was to drop off the girl here, and everything else came second, so why did the bloody b*****d have to turn it into a murder investigation! Zera had half a mind to Power-Fist the Ghoul until he magically grew a brain or died, whichever came first! While Zera was never charismatic, at least he had the intelligence to begin and end negotiations, and anybody knew Sergeant Sardonic had done something that was questionable at best. Silently giving himself a mental note to talk to his ‘partner’, Zera decided to save the situation from possibly devolving further, and gave his own word, “in regards to the body, what my associate failed to explain is that we encountered this woman when we were tasked with delivering the young lady in the Vault attire here.”

“She needs to undergo a pilgrimage of sorts for a year, but lacking faith in her survival skills, she desired an alternative; knowing of the stellar reputation of Oasis as a paradise, she desired to come here, and enlisted us with escorting her here so that she could ask for sanctuary. However, on the way we encountered that woman there, dressed in your people’s attire, and asked us to deliver a strange package here. Befitting her survival skills… or lack thereof, our young Vault dweller accepted the package without asking to know what she was possibly delivering. You might have to excuse us for being skeptical, but the woman could have just killed one of your people and absconded with the clothes to masquerade as one of you, and that package could have contained anything, including a live grenade or other explosive intended to kill us. When we investigated into what the satchel was carrying, we found someone’s head, and after being pressured for answers the woman attacked us with a grenade and attempted to flee; we then attempted to stop her and get the answers we sought, but she ended up committing suicide before we could get anything from her.”

Cedar the Treeminder

Cedar arrived at the gate and heard the travelers' story of how they came upon a woman in Treeminder robes and the head of a man. Cedar connected it straight to the strange woman asking him the location of Birch earlier in the day... Birch was found headless... and the woman made a stealthy escape... But what about the girl they were delivering? Was this an elaborate plan to conquer Oasis? An assassin? A spy? Cedar never trusted most of the outsiders that came into Oasis and the recent events made him even more skeptical. Being the overprotective leader of the Treeminders, he planned to keep on asking questions until he was sure of the truth.

Fir went back to the guards' hut and left Cedar and Elm to talk,"What do we do?" asked Elm."Let me handle this... I need to find some trust in these outsiders..." He walked up to the gate and talked to the travelers through the wall,"Hello travelers of the Wasteland. I am the leader of the people of Oasis. Before you can gain access inside this shrine of life I must ask a few questions... First off: Can you describe the head to me?"

Albireo had to consider what the ghoul had done. On the one hand he had correctly deduced that the woman had been a murderer and that the head, that Albi had yet to see himself, was a victim from the oasis community. But then again, it was a risky and possibly deadly assumption that should have garnered more investigation before openly assuming anything.

When they approached the gate and the leader of the Oasans spoke from the other side of the gate, Albireo could hear the mistrust in the elder's voice. Having been a part of a peaceful yet righteously suspicious community gave him a certain understanding of what they where going through, so he tried to think of what he would think if some strangers had come to his village with such a story. "Perhaps you would like one of us to bring the bodies inside while the rest wait outside? That way you can examine it yourself and know we are not just lying to you." He offered as politely as he could to the man on the other side of the gate.
