Those words seemed enough to keep her satisfied, and allowed her to retain the smile that had graced her lips after she had tenderly pressed them to his cheek. She still couldn't quite believe that she had just agreed to break an important rule to go on a date with a mortal man, but she felt no sense of regret for having done so. It would be nice to have her affections returned for a change, since Briele clearly had no intention of doing so. For years, Eos' love for the dollmaker who had prayed to her so often had gone ignored or unnoticed and completely unrequited. In the end, she had just given up on trying to have him return her love, and now wondered if this opportunity was her reward.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Hazel let the attempted phone call drop after he left a message for Vincent in his voice mail. He let out a sigh and attempted to get a scan reading to locate Vincent, but there were simply too many signals for him to sort out. Giving up, he decided to head for the docks to see if he could locate anyone that might know where each team was assembling.

With quick hops and a brief run here and there, he quickly made his way across town, via the rooftops. Since Costa del Sol was fairly small, it took very little time for him to reach his destination. He landed with a light thump on one of the wooden structures, and quickly checked the area. Surprisingly, there were few people here, but a pair of white ears caught his attention.

"So she's here too....." he thought as he walked down the dock to greet Fran again. "Seems every time I look for Vincent, I find you. Do you plan it that way, or is Vincent really that hard to find?"
{}:~:-[ Coincidence? Perhaps... xD

]-:~:{}

User ImageHearing a voice behind her, her ears stood a bit straighter, and turned slightly before she did to catch a glimps of who it was. "Perhaps it was fate." she said with a small smirk, before turning back to the water. "Vincent has proven to sometimes be hard to get a hold of... With so much going on in his life these past few years..." she explained before moving over on the dock's edge some, and looking to Hazel before patting the spot next to her lightly, as to invite him to sit with her there.

User ImageSeymour lightly curled his fingers around Lenne's and nodded, before leading her a little ways down the beach. They came to the area, and he noticed that Kefka was gone.... This could only mean bad news... Either way, he looked from Lenne, to Ultimecia and smirked. "This is Lenne." he introduced, before looking to the brunette, and holding his hand towards the woman, and two small jesters, "These are Ultimecia, Zorn and Thorn."

User ImageThe elder women looked over the young, and smiled some before pushing herself up from her sitting position on a half-wall and walked over to them, holding out a hand for Lenne to shake. "A pleasure." she said, in... a surprisingly calm tone of voice. Though her accent came through thick, it was polite... In a way. 'I sense a great power from this one....' she thought, just having a fair smile on her lips. She was a bit worried as to how this would play out, were Kefka to come back now...

User ImageZorn and Thorn just kind of stood and watched a while before the hopped around a bit and ended up in front of Ultimecia, Zorn on Thorn's head taking her hand to shake then near instantly they were switched with Thorn on Zorn's head, doing the same. "I'm Thorn! It's a pleasure to meet you!" "I'm Zorn! Pleasure to meet you, it is!" they said at once, taking their places beside one another... The twins were all but inviting looking little men... However they played along. They'd pretended for a fair bit of their lives, being nice to Garnet, Steiner and Beatrix... There's no reason they couldn't now!

*~Lenne~*
There was no denying it: these guys were scary. Still, she had learned that judging a book by its cover was wrong, and reminded herself that there might be some logical explanation for their odd choice of make up; maybe the Maester was travelling with a circus troupe! Or maybe they just liked to look individual and stand out from the crowd. The point was, they seemed like nice people on the inside, and Lenne knew that casting them away because of their odd looks would be wrong when they seemed happy enough to let her travel with them. Without them, who else would she have in this frightening new world? Nobody; that's who, and that thought frightened her more than any amount of weird clothing or make up could even begin to.
"It's nice to meet you all." The brunette shook each hand offered to her with the usual pleasant smile upon her lips. Such actions reminded her of when she used to greet her fans back in Zanarkand, and the smile became almost rueful. Why oh why couldn't she have had that life back?

Caleb grinned a bit at Eos before snapping out of his little daze of victory to speak once more. "At least this gives us another incentive to win the fight against Jenova, right?" He chuckled lightly.

"Indeed it does," the goddess agreed softly, her smile never fading for even an instant despite her faint worry over how Helios was going to react if or when he discovered that she had agreed to go on a date with a mortal man. Still, she tried to get her mind of off any lingering fear on the matter by slipping her hand into Caleb's. "So, Caleb...please, tell me of yourself." She knew very little about him after all, and hoped to get to know him better if he was going to be taking her on a date after the battle was over. Hearing more about this man would probably distract her and put her at ease so that she could calm herself down and relax a little more.

"Tell you about myself? Well, okay, um..." He paused, trying to think of something to tell Eos about himself. Much to his dismay, he couldn't come up with much. "Well, I'm from Banora Village, just like my brother, obviously... Uh... I was being controlled by Jenova until recently..." He trailed off, his heart aching a bit as he remembered the pain and anguish that came with being Jenova's puppet. He never wanted to experience anything like that again.

She listened intently until his words trailed off at the mention of being under Jenova's control in the past. Suddenly, she regretted making him talk about his past when it obviously contained painful subjects just as the one that he had just mentioned. Eos' small and warm smile was gradually dragged down to a faint frown containing notes of sympathy as those strange golden eyes watched him uncertainly. "My apologies; perhaps I should have given such a question more thought."

He shook his head and smiled ruefully at Eos, not wanting her to worry so much about him. What was in the past was history... He had to learn to move on and forget about it. "It's alright. I'm just glad I don't have to worry about that anymore..." He sighed. "Sadly, I can't come up with much to tell you about myself..."

Her lips were quickly pulled back upward to form a sweet smile once more as he mentioned that it was alright, although he had little else to tell her about himself. Well, that was fair enough; it wasn't exactly easy for some people to talk about themselves for too long, so she had no problem with him having little to say when he had been put on the spot in such a way. "Worry not - I am sure I will learn more about you through observation and time spent near you."

He blushed a bit at Eos' words and he smiled kindly at her. "Now it's your turn to tell me a little bit about yourself... I know you're a goddess; that's common knowledge. But... is there anything else about you that I should know about?" He was only trying to be friendly, not nosy. That was obvious. He just wanted to get to know Eos as well as he could.

Well, it was only fair that she tell him something of herself in return for the knowledge that she had received from him, but what? He already knew of who she was from the mythology of the world. It would be pointless to tell him of her family and her home, since those had already been written thousands of times over by people who studied the mythology of the world. What did Caleb know about her already? What would be actually interesting to tell him? "I am uncertain," Eos eventually confessed, turning her gaze to the ground as she thought through what she could possibly tell him about herself. "Being someone of such a position makes it difficult. I know nothing of what you are already aware of, nor do I wish to bore you with minor and unnecessary things."

Caleb smiled reassuringly at her and crossed his arms. "I wouldn't worry about that," he said to her. "You can tell me anything. I don't care if it's minor or trivial in your opinion. At least it's something, right?"

"Very well." With that, she turned her gaze to the sky above as she remenisced and gave Caleb a brief run-through of things that she hoped would interest him at least a little: her home, her family and status in Heaven (including her previous relationship listed in mythology that had given her two sons that she had sadly lost in the end), her hand in Celeste's creation that had brought her to the human realm in pursuit of Selene, the truce she had made with Selene that had brought her to grant the other goddess the gift of pregnancy, and how she had simply continued to live life since then. Once the explanation had reached its end, Eos breathed a soft sigh and returned her attention to Caleb once more. "Does that suffice?" she asked gently, hoping that she had told him enough to satisfy his curiosity.

When he was asked if all that information Eos had given him was enough, Caleb couldn't help but laugh. "I only told you two things about myself, and you could come up with all that... Yes, I believe that information will suffice!" He grinned at her. "So rest assured."
