Grizzlymon's appearance and confidence caused the two Digimon back up, wondering what this new foe could do. Struck with the powerful attack, however, they discovered quickly just how powerful their new foe was as they flew backwards into the firewall, searing pain ripping through them both.

((Go ahead and puppetmaster the two Digimon and defeat them, lowering the firewall.))

In their inability to make a difference, Ellie and Bukamon watched in horror as the green champion level Digimon released a barrage of needles from its body, embedding said spines in the fleshy bodies of the baby Digimon who had chosen to protect them.

The sight was horrendous, like a battlefield, only this was unlike anything Ellie had ever seen in any movie or photograph. The reality of it somehow got to her and made her emotions crash into each other, leaving her stunned and confused. Fear, anger, disgust, sadness and in some twisted, distorted way, happiness. Her eyes drifted to her partner. He had a fierce look of determination in his eyes, although their goal of protecting the fresh Digimon had been erased, the threat of the Digimon still existed.

"Ellie..." Said the Bukamon, his voice heavier and more meaningful.

As soon as he said her name, a sharp 'ping' emanated from the device she had placed in her pocket. Without looking she withdrew it, clenching it hardly, refusing to take her eyes off the Togemon or the Growlmon.

"Read it..."

Ellie furrowed her brow and followed the on screen instructions without hesitation.

"Digivolve!"

A light erupted from the screen which obscured their views, but they didn't need to see the change to know it was happening. Once the daze from the flash had passed, Ellie removed the hand which had covered her eyes and looked down to where the brown skinned Digimon had once floated to see a larger, more fierce looking Digimon.

"Betamon!" The Digimon cried out, almost roaring out his name to the still towering opponents. He caught their attention not because of intimidating presence or sense of threat, but simply because the act of digivolution was a powerful thing, even if it were only to a Rookie level.

A new screen appeared on Ellie's Digivice with information about her partner's new form, but she didn't chance to look at it. In the same time Betamon had evolved, Mikhail had also made his partner evolve, although she had apparently missed it in watching her own.

The Aquatic Digimon hissed slightly as a current of electricity rushed through his body, dissipating into the air. Both Ellie and Betamon watched as Grizzlymon furiously attacked the two Digimon, even knocking them into the firewall with success.

The large Pokémon stumbled away from the source of the pain, resuming their fight but this time remaining more aware of the others. Betamon looked over to the Grizzlymon, signaling he was about to finally make a move of his own.

"Cutter Fin!" With surprising agility and strength the Betamon threw himself into the Togemon the moment his guard wavered, then he continued by sparking the large Digimon with an electric attack. "Electric Shock!"

The Growlmon took a quick swipe at the Betamon to try and help his teammate, smacking it while it was midair. The rookie Digimon was hit, but used its new arms to its advantage, grabbing the Growlmon's paw and holding on tightly. The reptilian Digimon waved his appendage violently.

"Betamon!"

The Growlmon growled, attempting to knock the Betamon off with his other hand, but in an attempt to save himself Betamon used another attack. "Water Tower!"

This attack had caught the attacker by surprise. A strong fountain of water erupted from under one of his feet, making him lose balance and fall to the ground. Betamon took this chance and hopped back. He hadn't done much damage to them himself, but he did a decent job in stunning them, allowing the Grizzlymon a clear shot to do some considerable damage, and even potentially able to take them out.

It was bizarre, the plan went perfectly, even though neither one knew how they would achieve it. Whether it were luck or skill, they had no time to waste in thinking about it.
"Mikhail!"
"Grizzlymon!"

Mikhail would watch as both Growlmon and Togemon were both pushed into the Firewall and then over at the ominous glow of the small in-training digimon as it digivolved to the next form, that small seal like digimon changing into a more amphibious form. A grin would place itself on Mikhail's face as he knew the battle had just changed in their favor, especially when he noted the punch the Betamon seemed to be blasting at the champion's. Although not powerful it seemed to keep them all distracted giving Grizzlymon enough time to retreat enough to think of his next move. As Betamon finished his combo with the Water tower the Growlmon would once again fall though this time it was forth onto his face causing the champion to feel slightly dizzy

Ellie: "Mikhail" Betamon: "Grizzlymon"

Both the Tamer and Digimon would nod together as they began to complete their own finishing combo the claws of Grizzlymon glowing once more as he prepared for a finishing move to the now stunned Growlmon however disregarding the Togemon that would now charge in his direction. Both Mikhail and Grizzlymon would turn to face the threat only to have the Togemon launch its own attack in the bear's direction a gloved fist connecting right with his cheek sending him flying towards the side of the firewall and then into the ground below.

"GRIZZYMON, Cmon get up!"

Grizzlymon would pick himself up from the floor his legs shaking slightly under his weight his eyes flicking back in the direction of the Large cactus like digimon. His eyes would burn with determination as his muzzle would curl up into a grin as the Crescent moon on his forehead began to glow

"You don't know much about a Grizzlymon do you, when we take damage, we can just send it right back!"

Rushing in the Direction of the Togemon the glow of the Crescent moon would brighten, changing into a sort of shield like form as the Togemon charged its punch once more launching it forth at the Grizzlymon's forehead

"Bodystrike Reversal!"

Both the shield and the Punch would connect sending a short burst of energy around the two as the attack absorbed whatever energy the Togemon was producing sending it back into the arm of the plant like digimon. Togemon's fist would then be launched behind its own body before the Bodystrike Reversal would hit once more in its side sending it once more into the firewall however the damage already done was enough to turn Togemon into nothing but burning Data.

"...Growlmon, For your Crimes of killing innocent Baby level digimon and for creating a firewall in the middle of town your punishment is none other than Deletion"

Grizzlymon would walk over to the stunned digimon slowly his paws once again glowing as he prepared to end this swiftly and quickly. Growlmon would look up at the threat coming towards him, letting out a sort of pathetic whine before charging up another Pyro blaster as if using it as a last attempt However being on the ground his speed wasn't as fast as the Bear's own

"for Botamon, CRESCENT DAWN"

The claws of the bear would slash right through the Growlmon's muzzle, continuing down his head and spine like a hot knife cutting through butter the angered and terrified look on the Growlmon's face the last thing anyone would see before it burst into nothing but data. Grizzlymon would then begin to glow in a yellow light before shrinking back down to his previous Rookie form Mikhail then collapsing down onto his knee's as he began to feel an exhaustion from the Digivolution and battle awaiting for the firewall to dissipate

The Firewall dissipated as quickly as it appeared with the deletion of Togemon and Growlmon. Skye barely managed to get to his feet, bracing himself in the doorway of the restaurant, which was virtually all that was left of the west wall of the building. He staggered out to meet with the others before collapsing to one knee, the repeated digivolutions combined with his exhaustion weakening him significantly.

As Grizzlymon glowed yellow and shrunk, the image of Mikhail's Crest of Kindness appeared in the glowing form and shot into Mikhail's D-Scripter. As the boy caught his breath, Skye put a hand on his shoulder in a wordless effort to congratulate him on his accomplishment. But it came at a price. Many champion-level Digimon mourned the loss of their children in the attack while the village elders gathered to try and ascertain just how a Firewall managed to appear in File City.

"The rules of the game have changed," Skye said weakly under his breath. He wasn't certain if Mikhail could hear him or not, but he was really talking to himself anyway. "I can't...we can't remain on the defensive. But how...?" Skye looked to Gigimon, who approached the group.

"Not here, not now," Gigimon said, using his surprising strength to lift up Rick and Mikhail. "We're heading to the hospital, and you two are getting some rest." He beckoned for Ellie and the three Digimon to follow as the two were carried into Centarumon's Clinic.

The clinic itself was quite the technological marvel with multiple machines of dubious purpose. None of them seemed to resemble the familiar medical equipment in the human world, though a Xerox machine labeled "Anesthetic" was particularly troubling. Skye and Mikhail were both set on beds and ordered to rest by Gigimon before he wandered away.

Mikhail's eyes would stare up at the ceiling of the strange hospital as exhaustion flooded through his entire body a soft sigh emitting itself from his throat as his eyes moved over to where Bearmon would be sitting, wondering how it was some of these creatures seemed to stay at Champion forms yet Kudamon and Bearmon both seemed to revert back.
He'd push the thought from his mind for the time being as he would begin to speak over to the much more injured Teen sitting on the bed beside him.

"You said the Rules of the game have changed..."

Mikhail would turn his head to face towards Skye his eyes filled with determination after the events they had witnessed only moments before

"How much worse does this make things?"

Mikhail would be asking the question for a number of reasons the first was to know if more of this destruction could happen any time soon and the other was for his worry for Ellie. He had watched her break down at the sight of all those baby digimon dying... how would she cope if it were her partner or another human? He wasn't sure but he needed to know.

Skye brought his fingers to the bridge of his nose, lightly massaging in the vain hope that a headache would subside. "A lot worse," he said, his hand dropping to his side as he lay, staring at the ceiling. "When I first got here, there was a special shield in place that prevented Firewalls from forming within the city barrier. It requires a lot of power to operate, but it seemed foolproof. But now..." He paused a moment, trying to decide how to best describe their situation.

"I used to be able to hover near the city. The shield, powerful as it was, only prevented firewalls from forming inside the city, but did nothing for firewalls that were moving toward the city. I could guard the city perimeter from within the Native Forest and as long as Kudamon and I defeated the Digimon before they made it to File City, everyone would be safe. But some way, somehow, the rules changed. The firewall was formed inside File City. Now the Digimon who live here will be terrified constantly of attacks." He sighed heavily. "Now we have a dilemma. We have to protect the city, but we can't just sit back and play on the defense. We have to figure out who is directing these attacks. Who all these Growlmon, Togemon, and all the others are acting out of loyalty to. If we don't...well, we can't fight like this forever." He closed his eyes, resting his eyelids as he awaited responses from Mikhail and Ellie. He wondered if the rest of their group was still passed out in Meramon's Diner, and whether or not they would be of any help.

Mikhail would let that information sink into his mind as he took the Digivice from his pocket and held it above his head looking at the little crest insignia that had been placed on the bottom plate his fingers gripping tighter around the small device as he began to lift himself out of the bed with all his strength the exhaustion showing in his body language as even the slightest lifting of his body would cause him to pant and sweat heavily

"If that is the case... Then we can't just sit around here awaiting the next attack, We need to strike first! We have two Adult level digimon at our disposal, Its not just you and Kudamon alone anymore"

Mikhail would grin weakly at the other before looking over at Ellie with a worried face, she hadn't said a word since the attack and his worry for her was growing by the second, He'd offer her out a hand before speaking to her softly

"Ellie, I'm not sure what is going through your head but... during the last battle you looked rather distressed... I'm sure they will be happy to look after you here where you and Betamon will be safe until we can find a way to stop these firewalls and hopefully go home"

Getting to his feet weakly Mikhail would falter slightly having Bearmon grab him carefully as to help him stand

"We will find who is doing this Skye, With the power of Knowledge and Kindness running through our data no one can beat us!"

Ash would look in amazement as these creatures around him fought valiantly against one another, watching as the smaller ones were trying to defend their new friends against the much larger creatures only to be turned into nothing but Data. He and Tokomon would stay safely back as to not interfere with the battle that they were not involved in if not for the sake of not being hurt but as to not be noticed. His eyes would only grow wider as he listened to the Two humans call a word he had not yet heard nor experienced

Mikhail: "Crest of Kindness Accelerate!" Ellie: "Digivolve Pichimon"

The forms of the creatures around him would begin to change forms into beasts much larger than before their power growing greatly only being proven by the effortless attacks from both of them. Betamon using his and his opponent's size to his advantage as he tripped him up and Grizzlymon using his and his opponent's power to his own as easily the two of them took down their foes causing the firewall around them to dissipate away. Ash would continue to watch from a distance as the Digimon would come out of hiding and take away the Humans and their digimon somewhere they could rest, would watch the mourning happening in the middle of town however his own worry was for those whom were in Meramon's diner. He hadn't seen much of the battle but he remembered the explosion and so running over he and Tokomon would go to check if the others were alright.

"They seem to be alive, we should move them to the grass where they will be more comfortable until they wake"

"Alright but by the look of your size I'm guessing I'll be the one dragging them

It would take him some time but eventually Ash would have all the unconscious parties from the Diner out onto the Grass in the town to make sure they were at least alright after the Diner's explosion. Ash would look over at the building that seemed to be an infirmary and wondered if it would be appropriate for him to see if the others were alright

"Oh come on I know you want to see if they're fine, come come its not like they won't be happy to see someone else who could possibly help"

The abrupt wording would give Ash a soft blush upon his face as he followed his Digimon towards the infirmary, walking through the door only to be met with the small speech given off by Mikhail as he stood against his now smaller digimon

"I... I hope I'm not interrupting"

Skye closed his eyes as he listened to Mikhail. He remembered when he was that optimistic. What Mikhail couldn't understand, and with good reason, was how shaking this was to Skye. The rule was that the city was safe from Firewalls. His job, though seemingly endless, was clear-cut and achievable. Now, the rules changed on him, and his entire foundation was ripped to shreds.

"I...I hope I'm not interrupting"

Skye opened his eyes and turned to the entryway. There stood the young girl (he thought) with the Tokomon. Skye had thought she and her partner were still passed out in the restaurant. "Are you alright?" Skye asked, barely managing to sit up. "How are the others?" There was too much going through Skye's mind at the moment, so he had to start with something simple.

The words of worry from the boy still laying in the bed would cause Ash to blush slightly, his eyes averting away as his tone changed from being shy to being straight forward and tough like as if he were putting up a barrier between himself and those he was talking to
"I am fine, The others were hurt in the destruction of the Diner but not to life threatening points. Mostly just bruises and small cuts, they are all asleep on the soft grass outside.

Tokomon would look up at Ash and then back to those in the infirmary, trotting over to where Kudamon would be before giving him a small sniff "You're pretty small for a Rookie level digimon, we're about the same size! Those words from Tokomon would cause Ash to giggle slightly his fingers fiddling with the cable to his Hoodie as his eyes moved across those who were still awake "We should be more worried about the state of the two of you, you did what? Digivolve was that the word you used? and then you both grew weak. But the girl there seems fine at least Physically... OH"

Ash would realize he hadn't even introduced himself another short blush crossing his face but he swallowed that down before clearing his throat to speak "My name is Ash Weiblich, I am a 16 year old Boy who accidentally came to this world by forwarding a spam e-mail from a friends phone to my computer and opening it" The word boy would be strained in Ash's words as if he were trying to force it upon the others rather than suggest it an awkward smile planted right across his face
