In the age of information, data is processed alarmingly every day. At the touch of a keyboard, information can be obtained that would otherwise require hours of painstaking research in a library. Photographs can be sent to family members who live thousands of miles away and reach them in minutes rather than days. News, both good and bad, can be heard within moments of it happening. Documents can be e-mailed instead of sent through the postal service. People can talk live and see each other rather than writing letters or using the phone. Files full of information are sent from one network to another all the time. Our entire world has been shaped by the information technology upon which we rely. But what few realize is that each time data is transferred through a computer, a small packet of data is left behind.

This small packet of data, while seemingly beneath notice, is actually a viable life form. Though composted entirely of binary code, this small piece of information can take a physical form: a tree, a mountain, a cloud, or even an animal. In this Digital World, creatures called Digimon roam. They are intelligent creatures capable of much, but there was one thing always missing from their existence: humans. Humans and Digimon were meant to work together, because Digiworld and the Human World are linked together.

The existence of the Digital World was largely unknown at first. Defense researchers in multiple countries began to suspect its existence, but had no solid proof, and didn't bring up the topic at any serious meetings. Still, they were sure that the information traffic along networks was doing something, but just what, they weren't certain.

They were at a major disadvantage: a group of Digimon known as The Digimon Sovereign were working behind the scenes, hiding the Digital World from the prying eyes of humans. Under the wisdom of the five Sovereign, Digital Sages manipulated the code of the Digital World, making it more difficult to discover. Their efforts seemed successful at first, but things got complicated.

An evil force rose up to threaten the Digital World. The continuous streams of data, the streams of life for the Digimon, were being disrupted, and the Digital World was slowly dying. The cause and solution for this problem was under heavy debate by the Sovereigns. Azulongmon, guardian of the East, insisted that something neither human nor Digimon was responsible, and that the only solution was to fulfill the ancient prophecy of Digimon and Humans working together and completing each other. Conversely, Zhuqiaomon, Guardian of the West, argued that Humans were responsible for the problems, and that the Digital World must mobilize a strike force to attack the Humans in their own world.

The arguing continued for weeks, a time span much longer than at first glance since Digimon Sovereign do not need to sleep. Baihumon, Ebonwumon, and Fanglongmon stayed out of the argument, waiting to hear both sides. Just as Zhuqiaomon was about to attack the Humans on his own, Fanglongmon's mighty tail shot up, knocking Zhuqiaomon down. As the leader of the Sovereigns, he demanded that Zhuqiaomon stay his hand and not start a war that could destroy all life.

"You have one chance," Fanglongmon said to Azulongmon. "If you truly believe that Humans and Digimon working together can solve this problem, then by all means, do what you must. However, should you fail, Zhuqiaomon will lead the strike against the Humans. Do I make myself clear?"

"Of course," Azulongmon responded. Without another word, he dove to the center of the Digital World and dug out eight Digi-Cores, the source of power throughout the Digital World. For the next week, he carefully crafted them into small devices capable of wielding great power. He selected eight Digi-Eggs from Primary village whose Digimon were heroes in a previous life. He then used the Computer Nexus to seek out eight fitting people of any age to bond with a Digimon. Azulongmon was finally ready to send the devices through to the humans...but there was a snag. He sent out one Digivice first, but almost immediately, a powerful firewall blocked his connection to the human world, preventing him from sending the rest. It took nearly three months before the Sovereign were able to get past the firewall and send out the remaining seven.

For those three months, one human and Digimon partner walked together, but alone.

Mechanics of the Digital World

Continuity with other media: Much like Frontier and Data Squad, Firewalls takes place in a completely separate continuity from all previous Digimon anime. The Digimon themselves remain, and the backstory above is the backstory for the Digital World in general, though more details will be added later. If you have played or are familiar with Digimon World (specifically the first title), then the events of that game are considered canon. If you have not played this game, do not worry. Knowledge of specific events of the game are not necessary to play this RP through.

Digivolution: The first time your Digimon will move to the next level, I will decide. After that, you may Digivolve them on your own. There will be secret requirements that will be relatively easy to figure out.

Data Streams: Each time data passes through the net, more is created in the Digital World, and more is revitalized that was corrupted or deleted. However, lately, the data streams have been passing by have not been manifesting anything new in the Digital World, and it is slowly starting to die. Your job is to find out who or what is causing this.

Digimon Sovereign: These five powerful Digimon will be crucial to the storyline. Get to know them well.

Digital World Geography and Terrain: The basis for the Digital World's appearance is Digimon Adventure (Digimon Season 1) and Digimon World 1. Grasslands, Plains, Forests, Frozen Wastes, Deserts, Mountains, Valleys, the Digital World sports a nearly endless list of terrain options. The two main areas you will be visiting are File Island, and Folder Continent.

Inactivity: LET ME KNOW if you need to leave for a while. But try to post at least twice a week. The idea is to make this RP different from the majority of RPs out there; we want it to actually FINISH.

Select Digimon that actually exist. You have your choice of Burst Mode, official Stage VII or Bioemerge for your final form, but not more than one, meaning you either have a Bioemerge Mega (like MegaGargomon or Gallantmon), a Stage VII Digimon like Arkadimon and Daemon, or you have a regular mega with a Burst Mode (Like MirageGaogamon or Rosemon). Data: It has grown a body as light as a bubble, as well as very thin wings and somewhat largish eyes which are very sensitive to movement. If something moves Pupumon will notice it and immediately spring away, but this doesn't mean it's a coward, as if the object continues to be unkind and approaches, Pupumon will counterattack.

• Poison Bubbles: Spits poisonous bubbles from its mouth at the opponent.
  In-Training: Puromon
  Data: It flies freely by individually operating its three pairs of wings. It is not yet powerful, but be that as it may, it is difficult to catch because of its random flying about, which surprisingly gets the opponent completely annoyed.
  
• Chikkuritto: Injects a tiny quantity of venom with the tiny stinger on its rump.
  Rookie: Fanbeemon
  Data: It belongs to the mysterious "aerial, covert honey base, Royal Base". Although its daily life differs from that of other Insect Digimon, it is a strong, dedicated worker due to its personality being so cheerful. It always gets along with Plant Digimon like Palmon or Lillymon. Because the base is usually under construction, it has the duty of carrying home data left on fields of flowers or vegetation, little by little, to use as raw materials, causing it to be classified as a Virus. Also, because the base is defended by powerful Digimon, making it impossible to approach, the goal of that construction is a mystery at present. It's wisest to just run away when it uses its "88 Call".
  
• Gear Stinger: Rapid-fires tiny, serrated stingers
  
• 88 Call: Reddens its antenna and contacts its allies, summoning a huge crowd of its comrades.
  Champion: Waspmon
  Data: It defends the mysterious "aerial, covert honey base, Royal Base". The antenna-parts on its head have high reconnaissance ability, so it is always patrolling the vicinity on the lookout for Digimon approaching the base, and will come swooping down on them just for coming close. By using the propellers on its shoulders and the stabilizers on its back, it is able to rapidly move up, down, forward, back, left, right, or in any direction, which allows it to defend against approaching enemies and drive them off with its powerful laser cannon.
  
• Turbo Stinger: Fires a rapid-fire salvo from its wide-aperture laser cannon.
  
• Bear Buster: A single blow fired after charging up energy. This technique can bring down even larger Digimon, but it is difficult to hit agile enemies with it, so it is mainly used against enemies on the ground.
  Ultimate: CannonBeemon
  Data: It is a massive Digimon that defends the mysterious "aerial, covert honey base, Royal Base". The aerial base is exposed to danger from a full 360°, but with its "Sky Rocket ∞" technique, it can completely cover a vast range. The gigantic arms container on top of it boasts an innumerable amount of loaded ordnance.
  
• Nitro Stinger: Fires a shot from its high-caliber laser cannon which can even shoot clean through strongly armored opponents.
  
• Sky Rocket ∞: Fires a simultaneous bombarding barrage from the container on top of it, and continues on like raging waves until its watch is ended.
  Biomerge Mega: TigerVespamon
  Data:It defends the mysterious "aerial, covert honey base, Royal Base". Vespamon boasts an astounding degree of stamina that could not be imagined from its slight and thorny silhouette, and it never stops moving during combat. The best of the best, said to be the top 0.08%, are inducted into the "covert honey corps, Royal Commando", and awarded a codename. Its codename "Tiger" comes from the fact that it is by far the best in solo combat, and it wields twin blades shaped like tiger fangs, the "covert honey arms, Royal Meister"
  
• Mach Stinger Victory (Mach Stinger V):Stings the opponent with the "Royal Meister".
  
• Gear Stinger: Fires a volly of explosive stingers from it's back.
  
• Royal Meister: A series of fast, consecutive slashes using the Royal Meister.
  
  Digidestined Appearance: Takahiro is 6'0, with fierce brown eyes and a glorious pompadour that is his pride and joy. He is a delinquent who constantly gets into fights, made apparent by the tattered state of his clothes and bruises that tends to cover his body. He has a muscular build, and is very athletic. He constantly has a very angry expression on his face, so most people are too intimidated to approach him.
  
  Digidestined Personality: Takahiro is a delinquent with a short temper, and a very violent and aggressive personality. He often gets into fights because of the way he acts and speaks, which leads him to have a very lonely life with no friends as everyone he meets is either too intimidated or angry at him. He's not very smart, although he believes he doesn't need intelligence when he can just punch away all his problems. Although he has a very hostile and unfriendly nature, deep down he still has the capacity to be caring and sympathetic, most clearly expressed by his soft spot for children, who he treats with utter kindness and care.
  
  Digimon Personality: Fanbeemon is very shy and quiet, he never speaks out (if at all) and he is very timid. He is very gentle, and thus dislikes fighting and violence, although he wouldn't hesitate to fight if it was to protect his partner. He is a very loyal partner who would do anything for Takahiro, who he looks up to and loves despite Takahiro's treatment to him.

Data: The smallest Digimon yet, who resembles a type of plankton and was found in the Net Ocean; this Digimon is being researched as the last survivor of a generation born in a past period of the Digital World's history. Its behavior and emotions play important parts in its life, and both can quickly change. Its exceedingly curious and hopes to communicate with land-dwellers, but since today no-one can understand him. Even so, this Baby-leveled Digimon is loved by everyone, and its opponents quiver when they see its big, deep, cute red eyes. It spits out soapy bubbles from its mouth, stinging the enemy's eyes as it runs away: this is translated as its "Bubble Blow" attack.

• Bubble Blow: Shoots a bubble-like substances from its mouth.
  
  In-Training: Bukamon
  Data:A humorous Digimon with a form reminiscent of the larva of an aquatic dinosaur, who moves wittily about like a seahorse. However, it has lost the friendly personality it had when it was a Pichimon, and now prefers to stay in the shadows, quickly running away when others approach due to its shyness. Its body is still unable to withstand the high pressures of the deep ocean or its cold temperature, so it'll be a long time before it can dive into the deep sea.
  
• Froth Bubbles: Spits froth that looks like bubbles.
  
• Bubble Blow: Fires pink bubbles from its mouth.
  
  Rookie: Betamon
  Data: An Amphibian Digimon who walks on four legs. It has a gentle personality and is a quiet sort of Digimon, but once it gets angry, Betamon will surprise the enemy with "Electric Shock", which emits one million volts of electric current from its body
  
• Electric Shock: Discharges an electric current emitted from its body that is over a million volts, striking the opponent.
  
• Beta Slugger: Removes the sharp fin from its back and shoots it like a boomerang.
  
• Cutter Fin: Somersaults through the air while slicing at the foe.
  
• Water Tower: Causes a geyser of water to erupt from underneath the foe.
  
  Champion: Seadramon
  Data: An Aquatic type Digimon that has a long body like a large snake. With its long body, it is able to attack forthcoming enemies by coiling around it and tightening it until the enemy ceases to breathe. It swims about the Net Ocean, but it has no intelligence; only the instincts to survive play an important role here. Its special attack is "Ice Blast", which discharges a breath of absolute zero-temperature water, which freezes the enemy solid upon contact.

• Ice Winder: Coils around the opponent's body and tightens it.
  
  Ultimate: Scorpiomon
  Data: A Computer virus infected the databanks of a laboratory where the investigations and excavations of ancient life forms is preformed, and took in the data of an ancient life form and evolved. It became like the life form which in ancient times was the apex of the food chain, which had a great appetite and supplied it with an ability capable of allowing it to see food that was of the finest quality. Skillfully using the tentacles that grow from its head it catches the enemy and kills them with the sharp blade that grows from its tail. When the progression of a fight becomes disadvantageous, it uses its sharp tentacles to hoist up the soil of the seabed to hide its body. The radar eye that projects from its head captures the enemy like a night vision scope, watching for the chance to create a turnabout. Its certain kill move is crossing its right and left forelimbs and shooting with "Stinger Surprise".
  
• Stinger Surprise: Fires a beam of energy from its front claws.
  
• Tail Blade: Swipes at the enemy with the multiple blades along its stinger.
  
• Scorpion Storm: Hurls bullets or streams of sand from ventricles on its underside to blind, knock out, or bury enemies.
  
  Mega: Plesiomon
  Data: An illusionary Digimon who was discovered in a computer in an unidentified living things laboratory in Britain. He was treated as a rumor amongst researchers. He seems to appear when his appearance can be seldom shown, creating a fog when he does so... His brightly-lit appearance is very mysterious.
  
• Sorrow Blue: A sound wave attack which can make even the most ferocious Digimon lose their will to fight.
  
• Sad Water Blast: Spews out water from his mouth.
  
  Burst Mode: Aegisdramon
  Data: A subspecies of Digimon born from the fusion of a Plesiomon with Seadramon-species data. It is said that its shining figure, clad in golden armour, will purify all evil.
  
• Shine Breaker: Its Special Move "Shine Breaker", in which it simultaneously fires concentrated bombardments of shining energy and bombardments of scorching energy at the target, from all the cannons on its body, completely annihilates the target with the gigantic explosion of super-destructive energy produced from the fusion of the two types of energy at the point of convergence of all the bombardments. That explosion releases a glistening, golden flash, causing you to feel its terrifying power while also sensing its divinity at the same time.
  
• Tera Hydro Breath: Fires powerful blasts of water from its body.
  

Digidestined Appearance: Ellie is around average height for girls her age, standing at 5'0'', she weighs slightly less than her friends because of her active personality, but children of around her age tend to differ vastly in height and weight anyway. She has shoulder length blond hair. Her eyes are blue, but sometimes appear to have a greenish tint.
She wears a long blue dress which goes down to her ankles. With it she wears 2 red and white ribbons, one of which she wears around her neck and the other around her waist.

Digidestined Personality: Ellie lies in the stage between being a child and a young adult so her behaviour tends to change depending on those around her. She tries to act smart and mature around older people, but sometimes she ends up more of a problem than a helper, however, most times she will just stay quiet and surprisingly patient for someone her age. She feels most comfortable around those like herself, those who love to play games, make silly jokes and won't use big words no-one understands.

Digimon Personality: Betamon practically behaves like that of a child. He is extremely curious and energetic, finding joy in making others laugh. He acts brave in front of others and sometimes pushes himself too hard. He is is not shy, but he is cowardly and prefers to avoid fights. Although he is not the smartest or strongest of Digimon but his loyalty and willpower are sometimes enough to make up for it.

Data: Its eyesight is extremely great, and because it is able to survey a vast range, it can react instantly to surrounding movements. Its personality is intensely curious, and it began gaining popularity because it lacks shyness and easily makes attachments. However, it extremely dislikes when its tail is touched, and so if its tail is touched carelessly, caution is necessary because it will shower you in blinding down.

• Fluffy Feather - Showers the opponent in binding downfeather.
  In-Training: Kyaromon
  Data: As it is brimming with curiosity, it takes an interest in anything, and has a habit of rushing for whatever caught its interest. The inside of its body has become mostly empty, and its tail is elastic like a rubber ball.
  
• Shippo Swing: Puts its strength into its tail and strikes with enough force to blow away even a Rookie Digimon.
  
  Rookie: Kudamon
  Data: It has a calm, cool, and collected personality, conducting a precise assessment of the situation even in combat, and attaining the advantage in battle. Conversely, when it gets outnumbered, it possesses a defensive technique in which it goes into its cartridge and settles down.
  
• Dangan Senpū: Strikes with the whole cartridge while spinning its body.
  
• Zekkoushou: Blinds the opponent with a great radiance emitted from its earring.
  
  Champion: Reppamon
  Data: Its tail has become a blade with a will, making it possible for it to cope even with attacks that surprise it from behind. However, it isn't suited for mutual communication, and it has been seen quarreling with its tail in the middle of battle. It prefers to fight within forests, and it skillfully employs its claws and tail to easily climb trees.
  
• Sky-fissure Slash: Strikes during a forward somersault.
  
• Beast Fang Frenzy: Wildly rips apart the opponent with its sharp claws.
  
• Vacuum Kamaitachi: Shakes its tail, releasing a blade of wind that can't be seen by the eye.
  
  Ultimate: Chirinmon
  Data: Although it is a Digimon that possesses mighty strength, it deeply detests conflict, and it is said that it will never shed blood. Although it has a deeply compassionate personality that loves everything living in the Digital World, when it is up against a being that commits senseless killings, it is said that it will inflict merciless punishment.
  
• Wind Cutter Sword: Abruptly swoops from the skies and runs through the opponent with the horn on its head.
  
• Knowledge of Swift: Uses its fast movements to unleash clones and confound the opponent.
  
• Wave of Reformation: Flaps its wings to fire off its aura, which guides even its opponents on the path to holiness.
  
  Bioemerge Mega: Kentaurousmon
  Data: One of the "Royal Knights", it has a bestial silhouette which could be called bizarre, in contrast to the Human forms of most of the other members. Its whole body is clad in an armor of the "Red Digizoid" which boasts great defensive power, so even Mega Digimon are unlikely to be able to easily damage Kentaurosmon. Its six legs possess unsurpassed mobility, such that it is possible for it to instantaneously move at high speeds that its thick build would not suggest.
  
• Inferno Frost: Fires incandescent arrows of light from Múspellsheimr, his crossbow.
  
• Icy Breath: Uses Niflheimr, its shield, to lower the temperature of its climate and generate a blizzard.

Digidestined Appearance: Kieran has brown hair, blue eyes, and a thin frame. His low posture and darker colored clothing cause him to not stand out in a crowd, and he usually prefers to be easily missed. His face seems set in a permanent scowl at times. He's a smidge tall for his age at 5'9", and has a muscular, but thin build. He wears a black button-up shirt, white t-shirt underneath with black pants and boots. His overall look seems more "business casual" than anything else.
Digidestined Personality: He's not so good at relaxing, and rarely takes a break, either physically or mentally. He lacks any real social skills, and doesn't like crowds. However, these traits are less pronounced when his survival is on the line, and in his interactions with Kudamon.
Digimon Personality: Kudamon is proud, if a bit smug, and quick to point out failure and mistakes. He is very wise, however, and knows when to let transgressions go. Kudamon is extremely knowledgeable, and serves as a walking dictionary of Digimon (using the term 'walking' loosely) and other information pertinent to their mission.

• Bubble Blow: Produces bubbles from its mouth to intimidate the opponent.
  Rookie: Falcomon
  Data:Falcomon is a Bird Digimon whose name and design are derived from the Falcon (Falco peregrinus). It lives up in 3000 m-high mountains, but as its wings are not very developed, it can only fly to the extent of gliding.
  
• Scratch Smash: Scratches with its wing claws.
  
• Falco Rush: Unleashes an attack using its powerful leg strength.
  Champion: Diatrymon
  Data: Diatrymon is an Ancient Bird Digimon whose name and design are derived from the Diatryma genus, officially known as the Gastornis genus.
  
• Destruction Roar: A sound-wave attack that causes extensive damage.
  
• Mega Dash Impact: A raging tackle.
  Ultimate: Yatagaramon
  Data:Yatagaramon is a Bewitching Bird Digimon whose name and design are derived from the mythical Yatagarasu. Possessing three legs, it is a bizarre Digimon. Although its jet-black body presents an evil image to those who see it, it is told that it is the Digimon who guides the chosen to the "Golden Land" in the eastern Digital World
  
• God of the Jug and Cloth Capital: Concentrates the energy produced from the Dokkosho on both of its wings in its foreleg, then fires it, causing its opponent to have its digital cells disassembled to a state of "0"s and "1"s.

Perhaps that's why she loves sports? Yes Yumi is quite athletic and loves all kinds of sports, her favorite is basketball. Yumi uses her sports to keep in shape....though her high metabolism helps with that. Yumi is a glutton who can eat as much as she wants and hardly gains an ounce. Watch what you say around the girl, she is quite gullible and will fall for almost anything. Digimon Personality: Gaomon is much like his tamer. He's determined, strong willed, and protective. He would do anything Yumi ask of him and wouldn't stop until the job was done. His only non-panda related possession is his old, worn out goggles, a keepsake given to him by an old friend which he likes to fiddle with when he's deep in thought. Besides his clothes, the only other thing that sets Xian apart from others is the optimistic smile that never leaves his face.

Digidestined Personality: Xian is a very carefree and easygoing individual, and he's optimistic to a fault, believing that everything in life happens for a reason and has a way of working things out by itself. He never worries, but he also neglects his problems and instead actively seeks to avoid his problems and responsibilities since he thinks that everything will fix itself in the end. Although he can be friendly and compassionate, he can come off as distant and uncaring to others due to his unwillingness to take action.   However, once it begins to battle, with the uncommon physical strength and will-power it possesses—to continue battling no matter what kind of attack it suffers—it becomes a very reliable being.
  The ability for close combat hidden within its body is very strong, to the point that it bound its fists in leather belts so that its special punches wouldn't hurt itself.

Digidestined Personality: Mikhail will go out of his way to make everyone smile especially when he himself feels down. He tends to forget things easily which normally gets him into trouble.
When he feels someone is being wronged Mikhail will also go out of his way to make sure the wrong situation is made right.

Schuyler unlocked the door to his home, entered, and shut it tightly behind him. The last day of school had finally come and gone. Sophomore year was over, he was getting his Driver's License during summer break, and he even had a date that weekend! Everything was going perfectly!

The newly christened Junior entered his room, shedding his backpack at the door. He leaped onto his bed, not caring that his shoes were still on, and laying supine, stared up at the ceiling fan, just relaxing. He was about to drift to sleep, actually, when a familiar chime emitted from his computer, signifying an e-mail. He sighed a moment; he didn't want to get up. But he rarely got e-mail, so if something came in, it was typically noteworthy. Skye finally willed himself to sit up, stretched, and walked over to his computer.

The address of origin was jumbled, and didn't look legitimate. The e-mail client even suggested it was spam. Schuyler deleted it and was about to get up when it appeared again in his inbox. Puzzled, the young man deleted the e-mail again, but true to form, it reappeared. This was one persistent virus.

He kept trying to delete it, but the e-mail kept reappearing. Finally, Schuyler blocked the sender. That should do it. He deleted the e-mail...but it reappeared once again. Skye checked his trash, and it was empty. He wasn't being spammed by the sender - the e-mail was actually not being deleted.

Curiosity got the better of him, considering his computer was probably already infected, given the oddity of the e-mail debacle. Schuyler opened the e-mail, only to be met by a blinding light emitting from the screen. He yelped, and rolled back in his computer chair. The light finally began to dim, and the smell of something burning hit Schuyler's nose. He turned to look in horror at the smoldering crater in the wall of his room, a small purple electronic device sitting inside it.

"Dad is not going to believe this," he muttered, crawling towards the hole in the wall. The purple device finally got loose and fell onto his bed. Gingerly and slowly, Skye poked the device. It wasn't hot. He reached for it and picked it up carefully. It somehow felt cool to the touch.

The device looked like a cell phone that was two decades out of date. The screen had a simple message: "Please help us." Below the screen, the center button flashed green, while the smaller button to the right flashed red.

"Is this some kind of game--?" Schuyler asked as he touched the center button.

Two months later...

A huge wall of flame erupted about half a mile away in the Native Forest. Skye looked up and grimaced before standing to his feet, pulling his fishing rod out of the lake. He coughed a few times, and was looking much skinnier and paler than he had been a mere two months ago.

"Are you going to be alright?" Kudamon asked, concerned.

"I'm fine," he answered tersely, wiping the sweat from his brow. He felt like they had just finished taking down the last firewall, and up another one goes. Why he alone was chosen to help save this world he didn't know, but he wasn't going to take the burden lightly...even if it was slowly killing him. "Let's go," he said to his partner.

Lights from outside the Train would move themselves quickly past the window as Mikhail turned the page of his Manga novel a smile coming to his face as the story began getting to a happier portion.

He had just said goodbye to his friends as it was the last day he was going to see them for quite some time now that school was over. He had planned to study abroad in America to see where his parents had grown up and to challenge himself more in school.

*BingBong* "Shibuya Station" *BingBong*

Mikhail would close his Manga and tuck it inside of his Backpack as he prepared to get off at the station after the next. As he pulled his backpack over his shoulder he would hear a strange beeping his eyes looking around the empty train cart nothing around him making the strange noise. After a moment he'd hear it again only the sound was coming from his pocket, quickly diving his hand in he'd pull out his phone giving it a quick look over to note the SMS symbol's number continued to grow.

"Not again..." Opening his message box and looking through Mikhail would see the spam messages to another Fashion magazine a sigh coming from his throat as he wondered why he let Yuki talk him into allowing her to put his Cell number instead of her own. One of the messages though got his attention when it's connected number didn't make any sense, it was all just 1's and 0's and had more than 10 numbers. At first he debated about deleting it, his finger hovering over the option button before moving over to select.

*BingBong* "Express to Tok...Tok....Tok...Tok...Tok"

The P.A system would begin to malfunction on the train first before its breaks would lock into place, Mikhail's feet unable to keep him balanced with such force buckling and sending him flying into one of the seats his phone launching itself in the opposite direction. When the train came to a halt it's lights would flicker for a bit before turning off as Mikhail opened his eyes his head throbbing from connecting with the seat behind him. He'd walk slowly over to where his phone was its screen showing nothing but static like an old Analogue TV on an untuned station. He would reach out for it only to have the screen begin to glow brightly before enveloping the whole phone in its glow. The phone's light would dim its design being replaced from something Mikhail hadn't seen since 2001

"did my phone just get an SMS downgrade?"

On the screen would be a simple message that read "Are you ready?" whilst the center button blinked green at him. The train wasn't moving and Mikhail thought his night wasn't going to get anymore weird from here on out and so allowed his finger to hover over the small center button

"Might as well play with this for the time being..." with a simple press the little device would glow once more enveloping the 17 year old in another blinding light that made him feel as if he was falling the world around him vanishing without a trace




Mikhail would groan as he felt the back his fingers coming into contact with a makeshift bandage that felt like a large leaf held in place with some sort of cotton, he wondered who could have put that there before focusing on where he seemed to be. Looking around Mikhail would note the ground seemed quite earthy yet harder than it should be and the walls around him seemed to be made out of larger sticks... wherever he was it didn't seem to be Shibuya or anywhere in Japan he had seen before

"Oh you're awake, quite good we weren't sure how bad that was"

Mikhail would move his head in the direction he heard the voice at first a strange looking silhouette looming over him. The silhouette would walk into the light making itself more visable before it would start talking again.

"I should introduce myself, I'm Gabumon and this hear on my head is the little guy who found you Tsunomon "

At first Mikhail would wonder if he had hit his head too hard, getting to his feet only to wobble and fall back down against the wall behind him, the pain bringing him to the realization he wasn't concuss... at least not to the point of imagining monsters

"...m...m...m...MONSTER!!!"

Sitting on the floor now the boy would simply point in the direction of the Gabumon and Tsunomon in both fear and confusion. There were no such things as monsters! There was no way he could have just appeared here after being on a train! what about his parents? what about moving to America to study?

"So your name is M-M-M-Monster? thats a funny name... doesn't even end in mon

A short time of calming down later

"I apologize for how I responded earlier My name is Mikhail... I'm not quite used to seeing things like you around. The last thing I remember was accepting a text message on my phone, its shape changing and me ending up here... wait.. my phone where is it?

Tsunomon would happily bounce over to where Gabumon had placed the Device for safe keeping, picking it up into his mouth and bouncing back over to the Human by the name of Mikhail waiting for him to pick it up.

Taking the item from the small Monster Mikhail would give it a quick look over reading its menu but not getting so far afterwards.

The room would begin to shake violently As Gabumon quickly took hold of Tsunomon his face turning into one of worry only for it to be confirmed as he looked out the window and grabbed hold of Mikhail's hand to guide him away from the Hut

"Quick we need to leave its another firewall, but one in the Native Forest? they've not been landing here for some time now so I thought we were safe... no matter we simply need to leave this zone and we will be sa.."

Before he could finish his sentence Gabumon would trip over a large Rock his arms letting go of Tsunomon and causing him to fly forward into Mikhail's hands as he continued to run on ahead a little before stopping himself, Gabumon would look up before looking behind himself at the Firewall coming into contact with the Forest behind

"Both of you go now, leave me here! These firewalls are dangerous to Digimon! Leave now before you both get hurt!

Looking at the strange wall of fire behind Gabumon and the worried look on his face Mikhail knew he couldn't just leave him behind, his Kindness once again forcing the rest of his fear away as he ran over to help the Digimon to get out of there taking in the whole situation one thing at a time

"No you rescued me when I arrived in this strange place I'm not leaving you behind if this thing is as Dangerous as you say it is!"

As Xian went to sit around on his bed, he locked the door and decided to drown out the yelling from outside with some relaxing music. He never liked his aunt and it's quite obvious that she feels the exact same way about him, but he had no choice but to live with her as his parents had died long ago, and no other family member would like to take him in. Being near her always made him feel sick in his stomach, but he shrugged the feeling away.

"Everything will get better eventually.. Just gotta wait it out!" he said to himself wtih a smile, taking out his phone to distract himself. Looking through the apps, his eyes were drawn to a notification popping up on the top of the screen informing him of a new e-mail. Xian was skeptical of the e-mail at first as both the subject title and the sender's address were nothing more than a string of odd looking gibberish symbols, but boredom and curiosity gave him enough motivation to tap on the e-mail anyway.

Unsurprisngly, the e-mail was just more of the strange symbols. "Is this some kind of foreign language?" he thought to himself as he stared at the e-mail, trying to make sense of it. His concentration is then broken by the sudden invasion of darkness as the lights shut off, with only the dim light on the phone illuminating a small portion of the dark room. A black out? Xian simply shrugged, and his attention was grabbed by a bright light enveloping the entire phone.

Xian stared in confusion, watching the light get brighter, while the phone he held.... morphed? "Uh...... well.... never liked my phone much anyway..." Xian inspected the strange device he now held, wondering what it was and how that happened, but further inspections only lead to more questions. The screen then began to blink, with a message saying "Help us!" while the center button on the device blinked green. "Did I fall asleep...? I guess was pretty tired... this is one trippy dream.." Xian shrugged, deciding that he might as well go along with the weird dream and pressed the button. A strong light emanated from the phone once more, and then......

Falling.

"WHAAAAATTT THE FFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU----" was all Xian could utter before crashing hard onto the ground. Hard."Well... never had that happen to me before, haha.."
Trying to laugh the pain away, Xian got up and looked around. "Is this... a forest..? What.. how?" He thought about it for a moment, then simply laughed at himself for questioning logic in a dream, but boy, does the pain feel real.

Sudden bristling noises from a nearby bush catch Xian's attention, as a little black furball comes bouncing out of it.

"It's you! It has to be you! You're the one!" The little furball says loudly and excitedly, to which Xian acknowledges by confusedly pointing at himself as if to say "Me..?"

The little furball bounces up and down vigorously as if to say "YES!" and its yellow eyes piercing with determination and eagerness stare right into Xian's. "You! You are humon! I'm Botamon, I'm your partner! Now that you're here, we can finally save the Digital World!" Xian could only answer with a long, quiet stare. 'is.. is this thing talking to me..?'

"Well, humon?!" It says in a demanding voice, in response to Xian's silence. "Uh... Digital world..? Partner..? Botamon..? Save...?"

"Yes! The Digital World is in trouble and we need to save it!" the furball repled impatiently, clearly getting annoyed from all the questions. Xian was still utterly confused, but he smiled at the Botamon."Uh.... pretty bad situation here, huh? Well, don't worry. Everything's gonna be okay!"

"Really? It will right?!" it says, getting more excited. "Heck yeah!" Xian replied confidently without any hesitation. "So you really will help me save the world right?!" and with just as much confidence, Xian replied. "Heck nah!"

The furball freezes, confused and shocked at his answer. "But.. we're in trouble! The Digital World needs you! Why won't you help?!"

Xian shrugs. "What can I do about it? Besides, life always finds a way to work itself out. Everything will be okay in the end, just gotta endure when the road gets bumpy for a bit, ya know? Things can't be THAT bad.." Despite having no other facial features aside from its eyes, the little furball somehow manages to still look angry. "How can you say that?! You're supposed to be my partner! We're supposed to save the Digital World!" Xian simply shrugs again. "How do you even know I'm your partner, anyway?" "I just do!!" The furball practically screams out.

But before they could argue any further, a giant wall of fire suddenly spits out of the ground not too far away, surprising Xian while the Botamon only looks towards it with a determined expression. "The heck is that?!" Xian asks, both in fear and in confusion. "It's a firewall.. and if you won't help me bring it down then I'll just find a way to do it myself!" the little furball says, before bouncing away on it's own in the direction of the giant flames. "Wait, hold up! What do you think you can do on your own against that?!" Xian yells at the black furball, following after it.

"Man, this is a really weird dream..."

Native Forest Firewall

Skye stopped for a moment, thinking he heard a noise. It sounded a little like thunder...twice. And while normally he wouldn't bat an eyelash, the noise seemed familiar to him somehow. Just familiar enough to put a pause in his actions. However, the Knowledgable One had to shake it off and turned to focus his attention on the firewall.

The ring-shaped wall of flames was huge, impossible for even Digimon who could fly to get past. They emitted no heat, and burned nothing on the ground, but it would hurt if you touched it. These firewalls were virtually impenetrable, shielding a Digimon inside. As the Digimon traveled, so would the Firewall, protecting the Digimon from attack until it reached its destination: File City. Skye knew he had to do something quickly, as always. File City was full of Digimon that couldn't or wouldn't fight, and it was, as always, up to him to destroy attackers.

Skye ran towards the firewall, and pulled out his Digivice. Holding it up, the device emitted a light that opened a hole in the firewall big enough to let him and Kudamon in. It closed shortly after, leaving the firewall secure once more. Skye wasted no time loading up his Digimon Analyzer to determine the attacker.

"Greymon, champion-level," Skye said aloud. "Dinosaur Digimon with a powerful 'Nova Blast' attack. Get ready, Kudamon. Let's take this one down in time for lunch." Skye's vision blurred briefly, but he rubbed his eyes clear of the distortions and prepared for battle.

Takahiro stands triumphantly near several high school students lying on the ground, spitting on the face of one of them as they groan in pain. Takihiro speaks up, in a cold and menacing voice. "I better not see you around here anymore. Otherwise.." He stops on the student's face. "I'll make sure you'll never be able to walk or lift a finger for the rest of your lives."

Takihiro watches them all scramble and run away, before turning around and walking past a bruised up little kid, looking to be around 9 or 10. "Those bullies won't bother you anymore." he says to the kid, in a noticeably warmer and friendlier tone than before.

As he walks off, he feels his phone vibrate in his pocket, and takes it out to see a notification for a new e-mail. "The hell is this.. he says, confused when he opens the e-mail only to see it blank. He sighs and puts the phone back in his pocket, choosing to just pay the strange e-mail no mind. He was never good with technology or anything related to it, so it's pointless to think on it too much.

As he continued walking, he noticed the lights he pass by beginning to flicker on and off, and a strange and subtle shaking happening around him. It catches his attention, but he simply shrugs and ignores it and continues on his way, until a very bright light suddenly begins to glow through his pocket. "What the hell is this?" he says, pulling out his phone fro his pocket, only to be momentarily blinded by the bright light. Once he's able to to open his eyes again, he looks at his phone to see that it had turned into something else. "Well s**t.." he says as he checks out the strange new device.

His confusion is suddenly turns into surprise once a message appears on the device's screen which read "Please help!", pissing Takahiro off. "The hell? who asks for help like this? Once I find who did this I'm gonna punch their face in" he says angrily as he stared at the new device, trying to figure out what to do with it. Suddenly, one of the buttons started blinking with a green light, which Takahiro presses out of curiosity.

Pressing the button, the same light from before begins to shine once more and envelops Takahiro. It felt strange, Takahiro felt as if he was getting.. extracted, from the world, and he didn't know how to make sense of it.

Takahiro suddenly began to feel the sensation of falling, but he quickly regained his balance and composure and manages to land safely on the ground. Looking around, he immediately realizes that he was no longer in the city streets of Tokyo, but somehow instead in some sort of dense forest.

Ignoring the strange new surroundings, he focused on his true goal began to call out right away for whoever asked him for help. "Hey! Who did this? How did I get here?!" he yells out, waiting a few minutes for a reply. After a few minutes, a strange looking bee, who stops in front of Takihiro.

"Y - you.. you must be my tamer..!" the tiny bee says timidly, but with excitement also apparent in its voice. "Ehhh?! The hell are you talkin' about." he says in an unfriendly tone. "Who the hell're you?"

The strange bee thing looks very excited and happy, as if it had found something it's been looking for its whole life. "I'm.. P - puroromon, your partner.. I h - hope you're okay with me.."

Takahiro stares at the small bug, unsure of what to do with it. "What are you going on about? Are you the one who did this? You better hope not for your sake, you little siht." he says in a threatening tone to the little bug. Puroromon's excitement fades and is slowly replaced with fear, as he tries to explain. "N - no..! That wasn't me... I'm... I'm just your Digimon... I'm sorry.... But.. T - the Digital World.. it's in trouble..! Firewalls.. evil.. destruction... w - we need to stop it..! I.. I love this world.. I love my fellow Digimon.. Please.. w - will you please help me save my home.." The bee looks down, shyly avoiding eye contact. "Leave me alone." Takahiro says coldly, walking away from Puroromon.

Puroromon looks very discouraged, but continues to follow his ill mannered tamer. Takahiro ignores him as he walks, but stops to look when a huge wall of fire suddenly spurts out from the ground. "The hell is that now..."he mumbles, but otherwise keeps walking, ignoring the fire wall.

Puroromon begins to panic, and calls for Takahiro"T-that.. that's a firewall..! I think t - that it's heading to File City.. There are lots of Digimon living there..we need to stop it before it gets there...!" Takahiro shrugs, and keeps walking. "I don't care." Eventually though, Takahiro realizes that there's no walking away from it as the firewall seemed to be heading in their direction at a noticeably fast pace, already close to catching up to them.

"Oh, so you wanna mess with me, huh?" Takahiro mumbles with a pissed off voice, lunging towards it with a punch. "N - no..! Stop...!" Puroromon cries out. Takahiro ignores him and punches the wall, a sharp pain circulating through his body as if he had just been electrocuted. "W - what are you doing..!? Y - you can't just get through the firewall with just brute force alone... The firewall will hurt you the second you make contact with it...!" Puroromon warns his Tamer in a very quiet and timid voice, almost a whisper, but Takihiro ignores him. "Eh?! Stop mumbling dammit I can't hear you." he says to the bee as he continues to punch the wall, ignoring the pain that came with it.

"Damn this stupid wall doesn't even feel like fire, what kind of retarded fire is this.. Hey, Purororo, or whatever. How the hell do I get through this thing?" Puroromon stays silent, and lowers his head. "I.. I don't know.... I t - thought you would know.."

"Tch.. useless.." Takihiro thinks for a bit, and remembers the device that brought him to this strange place. Taking it out of his pocket, he stares at it for what seems like a very long moment. Perhaps it has the solution once more?

Takihiro continues to stare, as if deep in thought, but then gives up. "Whatever, man this is really pissing me off." he mumbles to himself, taking a few steps back and lunging towards the wall with a punch, the strange device still clenched inside his fist. "FUUUU--- YOUUUUU" he yells as he lunges, but before his fist could make contact with the wall, a light emits from his fist that opens a small hole through the fire which Takihiro quickly jumps through, with Puroromon buzzing in right behind him.

Takahiro looks around, and Puroromon suddenly speaks out with fear "O - oh no..! It's a Greymon... H - he's way too strong... what will we do..." Takahiro sees immediately what Puroromon was talking about, setting his sights on a menacing dinosaur spitting a fireball in another direction. "The hell is that?! Tch, I ain't afraid o' no dinosaurs. Think you can f*** with me with your b***a** wall of fire? I'll teach you never to mess with me." he says, irritated.

Takahiro runs towards Greymon, so focused on his opponent that he remained completely oblivious to the other humans and digimon in the area. "F*** you!" Takahiro shouts before jumping and punching Greymon on the belly. The Greymon growls, unharmed from the punch. "Tch.. I'll knock that cocky look off your face." he says, going for another punch

" Puroromon buzzes past Takahiro, saying "G - get back..! As your Digimon, I - it's my duty to protect you... C - chikkuritto..!" before stringing the Greymon's leg with its tiny stinger.

Greymon seems more annoyed than harmed, trying to smack away Puroromon who's doing his best to avoid Greymon's arms. One swing connects though, causing Puroromon to go flying across the field and onto the ground. Takahiro watches and sees the Greymon's mouth about to fire another one of its Novablasts at his downed partner. He runs as fast as his legs could take him, diving to grab Puroromon and jumping out just as the Novablast explodes behind them.

"Don't be so careless." Puroromon nods weakly, although he lowers his head, embarassed and ashamed. "I.. I thought you didn't like me... Y.. you saved me.... t - thank you.. but.. I'm your Digimon... I should be the one protecting you..." Takahiro holds his partner close, running to put some distance between Greymon and them to make sure Puroromon is safe. "Learn to man up then." Takahiro says trying to sound as cold as possible. Puroromon nods, appearing to be close to tears with joy, from knowing that at least his partner didn't really hate him. "R - right..! I'll.. I'll definitely protect you this time..! Let's go..!" "Tch, whatever." Takahiro mumbles, jumping back into the fray with his partner.

"Can you stand?"

Gabumon would attempt to get himself onto his feet but after tripping on the rock portions of his leg seemed to be fading in and out of being data showing that he had hurt himself worse than they both wanted to admit

"Is Gabumon going to be alright? we can't leave him here"

Looking at the firewall coming their way Mikhail knew that Tsunomon was correct, he refused to leave the Digimon that had helped treat his wounds behind even if it would give he and tsunomon the time they needed to run away. Grabbing Gabumon Mikhail would haul him up onto his back like a backpack making sure the digimon held himself in place while Mikhail held Tsunomon in his own arms like a baby before running in the opposite direction of the Firewall. Gabumon would look behind them every now and then to check out how far away they were getting from the dangers behind them though the worried look on his face showed they were making little if not no progress in the matter

"You could both drop me now and get away so long as you keep holding me you will never gain enough speed to outrun that thing"

"I'm NOT leaving you behind, we WILL make it out of thi!"

The root of one of the trees surrounding the forest was sticking slightly past the surface of the ground just large enough to grip hold of Mikhail's foot causing him to throw both Tsunomon and Gabumon forth before falling flat on his face. It would take Mikhail a few seconds to recover himself only to see the Firewall gaining dangerously closer with every second that passed, quickly he did the only thing he could. Mikhail crawled over to where Tsunomon and Gabumon had been thrown making sure the two of them were safely hidden underneath his torso

"Both of you don't move please, everything will be okay I promise..."

Covered in dirt, mud and blood Mikhail would simply smile down at the two digimon who seemed to be filled with fear as the firewall crawled in closer to swallow the three of them up. From his pocket the D-scripter would begin beeping and glowing Mikhail's hand grabbing for it only to see the screen jumbling a strange type of code. A voice would ring out in his head one that seemed familiar yet he had never heard before.

"Hold it to the firewall and you will be safe"

Mikhail would look around for a second unsure of where the voice had come from but he didn't have time to question it. The firewall would be directly before him and just as the voice had said to him he would aim the screen of his d-scripter at the firewall itself a glowing light opening a portion of it slightly which would pass over both Mikhail and Tsunomon. A horrifying sound would come from behind them both as the firewall closed behind them leaving Gabumon behind whom had attempted to follow behind Tsunomon screaming out as he could only imagine what had happened to his friend

"GABUMON!!!!!"

The two of them could only stand there in shock for a second before tsunomon would notice more problems that had arisen inside of the firewall they now dwelled as a digimon's attack came directly for the human that had saved himself and had attempted to save Gabumon

"Look out Humon"

Using his tackle attack Tsunomon would knock Mikhail out of harms way allowing the Novablast to hit the edge of the firewall turning it completely into nothing but digicode before burning up just like an anti-virus would do on a computer

"Darn this thing!"

The D-scripter would pick up the digimon that had attacked them before Mikhail had even turned to notice the information writing itself down on the screen "Champion level digimon Greymon, specialty Move 'Nova Blast' Its cranial skin has hardened so that it is covered in a rhinoceros beetle-like shell. It is an extremely aggressive Digimon, with a rough disposition and a body like a lethal weapon, covered in sharp claws and gigantic horns which tear through everything." Mikhail could only imagine what had happened to Gabumon behind the firewall, he could only imagine that he had failed to protect someone who had protected him. Tears would begin streaming down his face as he turned to face the reason this stupid wall was up in the first place his hand gripping tightly on the D-scripter as he was determined to avenge his friend

"This b*****d is going to have a taste of his own Firewall..."

Through his tears Mikhail would see that more people had entered the firewall but he couldn't make out what exactly they were, he wasn't sure if they were here to help or make things worse but he no longer cared. Even slight hope that they could get out of this place alive was good enough for him as he grabbed Tsunomon in his arms and began running past Greymon hoping they both wouldn't get hit by another of his Nova Blasts
