Now that Ryuu thought about it, giving a human the power to control death seemed like just the sort of thing only a god of death could do. Yes, it was insulting to the human race to be considered play toys, but that's just how it happens to work with those with power. "Light... was this the name of the last Kira? Although if he thought he was god, I suppose you proved him wrong as you wrote down his name." Ryuu knew people looked up to Kira like he was god, but he didn't know for sure if this is what Kira thought of himself as. He imagined that he would be arrogant, but not to proclaim himself god. "He must have lost sight of the fact that he was still human... even with the power of the death note, it can easily be parted from anyone. Even a god of death. The power of the death note isn't enough to make him declare himself a god..." Although to surpass the power of a shinigami could be considered the work of a god. Ryuu wondered if that was possible. To beat the shinigami so his name wouldn't be written down in the end. Now that would be quite a feat. The past Kira could not escape death. Only one that could truly do that could call himself god.
