Death Note- Yet Another Note (Open!)

She began to feel giddy and happy, she texted her friend back and closed her eyes. She felt so connected to Kira already for some reason. She felt like he was right behind her, watching her every move. This gave her chills, ' I wonder if the new Kira is just as handsome as the first?' was what her text had said. She really wanted to meet the man with such a power. She smiled. She shifted her eyes to look behind her and looked back at her desk.

After endding the conversation with Wartari Near boredly pulled out a new puzzle. He opened the top and dumped out all the peices in front of him. hHe slowly put the puzzle together. 'A new Kira... Those fools think a new Kira has come. So another death note has entered the world of the living.... mmmm... i need to have Watari check if their have been any supisious deaths...'
Just as Near finished the black puzzle the W appeared on his screen.
"The autopsies, L" A file appeared one the screen.
"Thakn you, Watari. I also want you to check up on any suspious deaths." Which that said Near clicked the folder and downloaded it. it opened and he quickly read through every detail of the deaths. 'Two died of heart attacks in Japan during an experimental surgury... the thrid died of a heart attack in Hong Kong...' Near thought back to the rules that had been writen in the death note. 'Theres a 78% chance that this death was a failure on the part of the 'new Kira' if this is a new Kira that is. Theres also a 92% chance this 'new Kira' is in the medical feild or is looking to increase medical knowledge... All three of these deaths must have been a failure for him.' Near clicked the button to connect with Watari.
"What is it L?"
"I want you to check out any deaths of prisoners due to an experimental surgury and send me the report of any of them and connect me too the Japanese task force."
"Yes sir." It took only minutes for Near to be connected.

Ryuu, continued to look at the girl's conversation out of curiosity. He hadn't been online, so besides basic news reports, this was his first look at what the media thought of him as Kira so far.... only to find out if they were interested if he was hot. He banged his head against the dress. "Kira is a mass murderer killing criminals, bringing a age of fear for criminals for about a decade, and your concern is whether he's hot." He mumbled to the girl getting annoyed. He then sighed, realizing that whoever this girl was, she probably just got the impression that he was a jerk. While he didn't care if anyone thought he was popular, he realized that he shouldn't take his aggravation out on this girl. He was more irritated that he had failed this morning with the death note. "I'm sorry for giving you such a bad first impression of me. I've just had a bad morning."

Matsuda woke up in a optimistic sort of mood. He had gotten a raise about a month ago, so he had been feeling very cheerful lately. There weren't too many cases going on, so things had been pretty easy for him. He turned on the news with a cup of coffee in his hand. Everything seemed to be going good so far. 'Today already seems like it's going to be a great day! What could possibly go wrong?' Although the second Matsuda wondered that to himself, the T.V. showed a news report of how "Kira has returned!" Matsuda's eyes widened and in shock, accidentally spilled into his lap. After jumping around in pain for a second, he decided that the first thing to do would be to call Near. He didn't consider that Near probably knew much more than the media did. He was more concerned to get up to speed as if he were a schoolgirl waiting to hear the latest gossip. Thankful that Near had given him a method to contact him years ago (Although he didn't use it often) He immediately dialed the number. Whatever reason Kira was around this time, Matsuda wanted to take part in stopping him.

One of 10 phones around Near rang "Hello Masuda." It was too obvious it would be him. He'd want in on the investigation or this 'new Kira'. "I want to you to group up with the rest of the old task force that is left then i'll bref you all at once." With that said Near hung up. He already had Mogi on the line now all he had to do was wait for the rest of the task froce to come.

"It's good to hear from-" Then Matsuda realized that Near had already hung up. "I guess he is kind of busy with Kira up and running again..." He mumbled as he dialed in for work that he would be sick today. After that was finished, he headed to the location to meet Near. Mogi was the only one he had seen recently. With everyone together, it would be just like old times! ...except minus Light. Even years past the entire Kira case, he still couldn't understand how Light was Kira. Then again, no one fully understood Kira's motives to begin with. As far as the public was concerned, Kira had just disappeared for a while since Near hadn't let out any notice that Kira had been killed, or anything about the death note. 'If it had, I'd probably be a hero... at the least have a wife by now.' He thought to himself as he entered the meeting place.

"Good everyone's here now." Near spoke into the micophone his voice being distorted as it go to the other line.
"What's going on Ne- i mean L?" Mogi asked.
"I'm sure you've all already heard about the possiblity a new Kira has come."
"Yes..."
"Well theres a 20% chance that it is a new Kira. Meaning another death note has entered the human world." Near explained."I'm sending you the data on the 3 reports that make me come to this concusion ... i would also like you to check for any deaths due to experimental surgeries in the past ... month." Just as Near finished he clicked the send button. Secounds later the autopies came up on the screen.

Matsuda looked at the reports confused. "But the report that I saw on the news said that the latest case was a heart attack of some Mafia member that was in Hong Kong... what does that have to do with experimental surgeries?" Matsuda asked having a feeling that he was going to look like a idiot in a few minutes. He was convinced that since the person that died was a criminal, this new Kira was just like the original, and killing criminals.

(I just realized that we've been using the term "The last Kira" when the last Kira was the one in what I think is chapter 109. The Kira that was killing old people... that should have happened 7 years prior to this RP. I'm just going to refer to Light as "The Original Kira" instead now.)

"I believe that that death was a failure. They's a 78% chance that the that man was suppose die after a surgury just like thoses other two. In fact theirs a 83% chance that those other two were also failures. I believe this new Kira is killing criminals in experimental surguries so the world will gain more medical knowledge. With that brought up it also makes me believe that this Kira is in the medical field or studying to go into it." Near explained. What a surprise that Masuda was the one to ask that question but he'd prdicted that already.
"I see... I'll looks through all reports for prisoners who died after experimental surguries as soon as this meeting is done." Mogi said. He would do it now if it weren't for the fact that there was no laptop, phones, or electronics allowed in the meetings which weren't often.

"So... that means this new Kira isn't killing criminals to make the world a better place... but for science?" Matsuda wanted to confirm confused. "What Kira are we up to now anyways?" Matsuda asked. He remembered there was Light, Misa-Misa was suspected as the 2nd for a while, and then the Yotsuba bussnesmen was number 3, but after that was where it got confusing. Did Takahada count as a Kira? And since Mello technicly had someone else use the death note, would he be considered a Kira? And Yagami had taken ownership of the death note, but didn't use it, but was just having the death note enough to be considered Kira? Probably not... it was just a long string of Kiras, and the public only knew of 2 of them.

"This Kira believes that he be a hero by helping the world get infomation that to get it would be considered ethnically wrong. He believes that what he's doing is for the greater good of the world... A little like the oriningal Kira, Light Yagami. I want you to look out for any deaths related to any experimental surguries." Near more ordered then asked.
Mogi nodded. "We will... Do you think this Kira will be like ... Light?"
"First we have to be sure it's a new Kira. Remember theres only a 20% chance that it is." Near answered.

"Whoever he is, he might not be too bright." Matsuda sugested. "You said that 3 of the deaths were mess-ups. That means that this Kira's got to be kind of a idiot, right? He might not even know how to use the death note yet!" Although who it was coming from, Matsuda really wasn't the one to say anything about 'being too bright'

Adam walked into the classroom a little bit late. He gazed nervously around, looking for the teacher, he didn't want to deal with any crap today, he had another nightmare last night. So, one of the world's best assassin's and you're scared of being late to a class? He mentally scolded himself, making him feel a little better. Adam took a seat near a girl that was texting, and a guy that looked irritated with something. Adam kept his trenchcoat on by force of habit, and just in case, because it was also bullet-proof. I don't expect to be attacked at school, but I'd rather not take the risk. He thought, gazing at the clock.

When Ryuu saw Adam walk in, he straightened up in his seat a bit. He wouldn't admit it, but he simply didn't like the looks of the kid. Although it was biased based on his appearance, he looked like the type that would kill a guy for giving him the wrong look. Although then again, Ryuu was supposedly the new Kira, despite looking like a book worm straight-A student. For all he knew, Adam was actually a tree-huger who volunteered often for charity. Still, he couldn't help feeling a bit of fear from the looks of the boy. 'I shouldn't be worrying about people for their physical appearance. It's the more quite and inquisitive ones that would observe me that I should be worried about. So what if someone beats me up? It's better than ending up in jail and put on death row just for being suspected of being Kira.'

"No. This person is smart. Possibly as smart as the orignial L. He already figured out the what Light did wrong. He's was trying to avoid any conflict with me, L. He definatly thinks out out what he's going to write before he writes it." Near stated grimly.
"He's not going to be easy to fine is he?" Mogi asked with a deep frown.
"No. But i do know he lives in Japan. That i'm a 100% sure of."
