Bio: Ryuu grew up in the age when Kira was well known and killing criminals. But while everyone was either praising or scorning Kira, Ryuu was more interested in how people were dieing. He believed that Kira's killing through heart attacks might have been due to some poison or gas and therefore possibly preventable. This got him interested into studying to be a cardiologist to study why the heart attacks were occurring. Although Kira might have disappeared, Ryuu's interest in the human heart did not. He continued to study until one day, when walking home late at night found a note book in the middle of the street labeled "Death Note". At first, like Light, he assumed it was a bad joke. He tested it on a criminal on death row to find it had worked. But thinking it was a coincidence, then tried it on a tragically ill patient that was soon to die within the next week at the hospital. Ryuu wrote instead how the person would die 3 weeks later with a peaceful death.With the person dieing at the exact moment written in the death note, Ryuu confirmed it to be true. But this death note to him didn't seem like a murder weapon, but instead a tool to use to advance human knowledge. For example, there were many experiments that could be considered 'unethical', but could also reveal secrets that could save more lives than the person that may die in the surgery. The death note would make the patient in this unethical surgery die for sure, but it would advance the medical field drastically. But seeing as the person was going to die, Ryuu decided to make sure that only criminals were dieing from these surgeries. But Ryuu was convinced that they were not dieing for their crimes, but instead for science. Although with such detail, mistakes were bound to pop up. This meaning people dieing of heart attacks in the middle of a surgery because of a impossible task written in the death note. While Ryuu has been doing extensive research to make sure each entry in the death note is plausible, about a fourth of his entries end up as heart attacks. This begins to raise suspicion to another Kira arising. But Ryuu doesn't mind if anyone comes looking. After all, he had no intentions of killing police officers. After realizing that the previous Kira must have been using the death note, he decided that trying to face off L was his biggest mistake. He felt that as long as he didn't kill anyone important, nothing could go wrong. But of course, Light never thought he'd be discovered either...
Personality: Is a positive thinker who thinks that no mater what the situation, things will get better eventually. He believes that the Death Note is a sign that the world is about to get much better, seeing as that last time it was around, the crime rate went down. He doesn't enjoy killing with the death note, but believes it is for 'the greater good', therefore worth the nightmares. He thinks highly of himself, not as a god, but as someone who is self-sacrificial. He believes that while heaven or hell will not be his reward, but instead, when he dies, he will at least be remembered by the world as a hero.

Adam is sure that if people had not found out sooner that he would be dead now. Adam almost never speaks from his expieriences. He was found by authorities who searched his house after his father had been arrested. Kira killed Adam's father. Because of that Adam looks up to Kira. Since then, Adam has grown to become a very young, and very skilled assassin, the only hitman to ever escape L's investigation. None of his clients have ever seen his true face. One day, Adam was going to visit his old friend Misa Amane and found a suicide note next to her body. It read: To whomever may find this,
I cannot go on living knowing that Light, my one true love is dead. Tonight, I am going to end my suffering, I cannot live with this any longer, four years I have dealt with this burden. Please, if you find this contact Adam, he was a very good friend of mine, and he deserves to know about this. Adam, if you are the one who finds this, forgive me, I know what you went through and I'm sorry, you are stronger than I, dealing with that for eight years. Goodbye, you will always be like a little brother to me, and I'm sorry that it had to end this way. Adam cared for Misa like a sister, and she saw him like a brother. Bio: Cian was born an only child. His mother had lost her job shortly after the unintentional conception. Due to the combination of circumstances, she moved in with and married the father of her at the time unborn baby. His father worked long hours and often times wasn’t home, but it did provide his mother with a comfortable place to live. His salary was more than enough to support them. She decided not to return to work, and became a full time housewife and mother.
The family unit that was formed didn’t last for as long as one would hope. The first five years seemed easy, though Cian can never recall them clearly enough to say for certain if they were as peaceful as the synopsis sounded. It was when he left to begin his schooling that the problems around the house began. All the time his father spent travelling made his mother anxious and apprehensive that she might have been being cheated on. She began to stress herself out. Cian didn’t take well to interacting with other children, leading to a fair amount of problems at the school. The combination of troubles led his mother to begin relapsing into behavior that she had meant to put behind her. Prior to her meeting her husband, she had gone through an addiction to drugs. Her relapse started off as alcohol abuse, but turned into progressively worse behavior.
Cian’s home life, which had been stable up until that point, took a much more sudden turn. The woman who was supposed to be raising him had gone through a drastic change in her behavior, leaving someone frightening in her place. He didn’t know quite how he was supposed to deal with it, and spent much of his time within his own home attempting to hide out of her sight. As a child, he had been keeping hope that she might return to the person that she used to be. She never did. Eventually, the addiction and the hallucinogens served as a trigger to schizophrenic behavior. The abuse took place within a single incident, but that one time was dramatic enough to capture the attention of higher authorities. A boy arriving to school with bandages wrapping half of his face, covering a missing eye, tends to merit a trip to the hospital and some questions. Cian’s mother lost her rights, and was sent away to rehabilitation. When that alone wasn’t enough to return her to her sanity, she was then brought to a psychiatric hospital, where they have been attempting to treat her ever since. Even now, four years later, she hasn’t stabilized.
The police determined that Cian’s father had done nothing wrong, and allowed him to keep custody of his son. To his dad, work would always come first, and Cian was often times left alone. Cian began to apply himself to school more, in search of praise from the man who seemed to be ignoring him. His teachers were impressed enough to have him skip a number of grades with parental consent. It didn’t make the difference that Cian had been hoping for. No matter how much he succeeded, he was still left alone, with no friends among his fellow student or kindness to be found. Over the course of those four years, Cian also grew ill. The source of the affliction has, up to this point, not been identified. What he does know is that it had grown steadily worse since the symptoms began to show themselves.
His father died recently, one of many victims in a plane crash. According to the directions laid out in his dad’s will, Cian was instructed to go and live with his aunt in Japan. He remained within the states for just long enough to get his high school degree, and began attending university shortly after. He doesn't know his aunt very well, and the entire country is enough of a mystery to him that Cian took to spending most of his time on his own, keeping his contact with other people limited to the safety of being behind a computer monitor whenever possible.
He appears to be locked within the process of researching something that extends beyond his school work. As to what that is, when it becomes relevant, it'll reveal itself.
Personality: Partly due to his nature, and partly due to experience, Cian is not the most cheerful or optimistic of people. He tends to regard himself and the rest of the world in a negative light, predicting the very worst. He’s very cynical, and prone to bouts of paranoid behavior. Growing to gain both his trust and respect is a nearly impossible feat. He’s a very creative soul, preferring to use art as his outlet for his various emotions. Expressing himself on the outside is difficult for him. He tends to regard his emotions as troublesome, and other people as not being trustworthy, so he walks around with a metaphorical mask over his face. It rarely comes across to other people through his actions, but in full honesty, he often borderlines of being suicidal and his ideals are that of an extremist.

Rini never knew why they divorced, but she suspected it had something to do with her father working on the last Kira case after leaving for a while to be with his family.
After a year, she was sent to live with her father every weekend until she graduated from high school. Rini's father was a police officer who helped with the Kira case a few years ago, a little after the divorce. Her mother is an executive who was killed by Kira after the news was stained with her scandalous affair with the married manager of a different company. A fourteen year old Rini stayed with her grandmother until graduation to make things easier on her working father.
After graduation, Rini went to live with her father, and decided to help out with rent while she went to college because her father's current pay had not been enough to keep himself in the house and pay bills at the same time. After a few months, Rini had to quit school so she could work full time. Father blew up big time and quit talking to her for awhile. While all this went on, Rini was "discovered" by a band called "The Forest Critters". She became their new lead singer after their old one died because of a car wreck. The regular gigs from this small time band at a late night club and other places helped out a lot with the bills and rent, so her father couldn't complain. The police officer was so proud, he had hung up a poster of The Forest Critters in his small cubicle at the police station.
As far as Kira is concerned, Rini uses a fake stage name courtesy of her father's advice. Her band mates consist of:
Yukio: A.K.A. Kuma. The twin brother of Yasuo. Plays Bass.
Yasuo: A.K.A. Risu. The twin brother of Yukio. Lead singer along with Rini. Plays keyboard or any other instruments that need to be played.

She has a good sense of humor, and sometimes puts her father first before anything else. She does the opposite of what she is told, probably because of a bossy mother. She can't stand beer, cigarettes, drugs, shots, insects, when her father talks about work, and when she has to cook dinner. She adores The Forest Critters, music, her band mates, strawberries, her father(Aizawa), and the instrument shop she works in.

Bio: Kyle was always one out of place. He was a nerd but tried to get into the cool guys gang. It failed over and over, untill he used his computer skills to blackmail them. They finally showed him respect and, while not blowing his cover, he ruled the schoolyard with the bullies and popular kids at his mercy. Then one day, as he was walking home alone, it felt like he walked into a wall. When he looked up, a black book was infront of him, and holding it was a zombie-like blonde girl with one eye. She claimed the book was a deathnote. The murderweapon used by the massmurderer "Kira" from ten years ago. Kyle just laughed at the girl untill he came home and saw the medics carry out the bodies of his neighboors. When he entered his room, the girl was there again, claiming it was her work. Kyle still didn't believe her and she offered to kill his sister. He couldn't take that risk so he went along with what she said. She explained that her name was Medly and that she was a shinigami. Being fairly interested in japanese religion and myths, Kyle knew very well what a shinigami was but still doubted her. Medly then proceeded to kill his favourite teacher and Kyle decided that even though he still doubted Medly to be all that she claimed to be, it was a much to high risk to let her know that he doubted her. At her orders he now sends out DVD's to various tv-channels so that she can find whatever she is looking for and so that she won't kill any more people.
Personality: Kyle is a manipulative guy who rarely stops at anything to achieve his goal, that is how he gained rule of the student body at his school. He cares greatly for his familly, especially his twinsister, Claire, who is one of the main reasons he keeps doing what Medly demands. Although he can't let anyone notice, he has changed greatly after Medly arrived. He has now understood how terrible it is to be blackmailed and thus has loosened his grip somewhat over the students, although not enough so that they won't notice his change.

Bio: Medly is a shinigami who seriously was just waiting for her years to slip away because she was so bored, before Ryuks little stunt with Light Yagami. Understanding that if she started right after the first Kira-case was ended, the humans would just believe that Kira had risen again and the only ones that would have been really confused was that little team of detectives that were on the case. So, Medly waited a few years and fell asleep. Ten years later she woke up and decided that she didn't want to wait anymore. What she wants is just cause as much chaos as possible. Drive the humans mad. Simply get a good laugh. Her puppet to find her "kira" is Kyle Bennet. Funny little thing.
Personality: Medly is very easilly bored and as the only decently fun thing she had to do in the shinigami world was to kill humans, she will probably live for a very long time if her notebook is stolen. She doesen't really care about what people think about her, as long as they keep being entertaining, and if they don't, well then they will be written down in her notebook and she will find someone else to plague.

Bio: Claire is Kyles twinsister. While he has always been annoyed a his social status, Claire was happy to be out of the spotlight and tried to convince him to be satisfied with what he'd got. This plan mostly failed. As their parents are very much out of town and otherwise quite busy, Claire is the one to do most of the work at home. Although she waished she had a life on her own, she is happy that she atleast has got her brother by her side.
Personality: Acting as Kyles mother at times, Claire can be a loudmouth and is not afraid to speak her opinion. She is very creative and uses what little time she has free to work with art, music or practise her cooking, which , although it is awesome, she never thinks that she is good enough. Claire loves her brother very much and knows him so well that she is one of the few who have seen his change. She is unaware of his controll over the student body but is often happy to carry out notes and letters for him, although she does not know what they are.

Bio: From a small age Kyra could see ghosts; she spent most of her time being adventurous and literally following them. She deemed them more interesting than the living. Although alienated in her younger years due to her "abilities", her grandmother helped her cope. She found out that it was an ability passed down from generation to generation - occasionally skipping a generation or two; sometimes even creating anomalies. One of which involved shinigami and the ability to see said gods of death. It was a rather obscure ability, not many of the family had delt with it or even knew they had it.
When she was around the age of three - nearly four at the time - her father had passed. He was in the force and had been killed when a hostage situation went awry.
Although her mother was depressed about it, Kyra was quite content because she knew her father was "there". Before he died, he had left her with a cross necklace he carved out of wood for her. It was supposed to be her fifth birthday gift, but she got it prematurely and has not taken it off since. It was too precious to remove.
About sixteen was when Kyra realized she could see gods of death. Most Japanese citizens knew what they were - it was like the American grim reaper - and she started to come up with all sorts of insane theories. As the years went on she had slowly started to mature; she focused less on getting angry at people for their faults and more on her studies to help people. The medical field was her true passion. A registered nurse was what she became - just like her mother. Unlike her mother, however, she wanted to only focus on one thing at a time. When it was time to have a family, she wanted to put her energy into that. But while she worked, she wanted work to be her first and foremost priority; she wanted to definitely be a better mother in this aspect. She didn't want to have to slave over a job and raise kids; she wanted the kids to have their mother and grow up with a mother.
Although she felt this way, she never brought it up to her own mother. She knew her mother did her best to raise her. It was hard to be a single parent. Though she didn't exactly know the full details, but she surmised it was difficult.
Personality: Mild-mannered, quite content (despite dealing with ailing children and adults), cheerful; she has matured a lot since her younger days. With age came wisdom, it was just a shame it took thirty-two years to realize this. She does get irritable when tired, but that comes with being human.

Personality: She is happy, semi-crazy girl. She loves to have fun and bother others. When it comes to her cases she get serious though. Much like Mello, she is hands on and can get violent if someone angers her. She also loves chocolate, something else she got from Mello. She has enough control of her emotions to keep from acting far to rash like Mello did though. When it comes to peoples lives she tends not to care unless she's friends with them.

Bio: Kinjiro grew up in a poor neighborhood, constantly faced with the threat of poverty. His mother worked a night shift as a waitress, and his father became a taxi driver. Neither was very good at their work, resulting in very little tips and thus, constant struggles to keep up with the bills. As a child, Kinjiro himself was very timid, and would often watch the other children on the block with a large amount of jealousy at how easily they could get along with one another. Though Kinjiro desperately wanted to approach them, and ask, “Hey, can I play?”, he was always too intimidated to speak up.
This sort of behavior continued until middle school, resulting in very few friends. The pals he did have felt more like colleagues than anything. However, as he reached adolescence, while his self-esteem remained nonexistent, he grew to have more of a temper, and lashed out at his classmates quite often. His parents, concerned with the way their son was turning out, quickly attempted to find him a hobby, hoping to not only quell his anger, but to make him more comfortable around his peers. Piano, drama, art - nothing seemed to capture his interest. That is, until they struck upon his passion: space.
An astronomy club had started up at his middle school, and after some convincing, Kinjiro joined, only to discover he loved it. The thought of other worlds fascinated him, and he kept up with his stargazing hobby regularly. When going into college, Kinjiro suddenly made a decision: he didn’t want to be an astronomer. He wanted to be involved in the study of aerospace, of course, though he wanted to incorporate something else into his degree, to make it easier to find a job. Thus, Kinjiro the aerospace engineer was born.
College was a breeze for him, as he devoted almost all of his time to studying (rather than attempting to develop a social life). His college roommate, a rather chatty fellow, insisted on trying to get him one, and would often strike up conversation at the most inopportune moments; often the subject would be none other than Kira. “Did you hear who Kira killed?” “Hey, you know Kira is only killing criminals?” “Wonder if they’ll catch Kira?” Kinjiro got so sick of hearing about the famed killer that he went from ignoring everything involving him to flat-out hating whoever was behind the murders. Criminals or not, they were still humans.
Despite the distractions, after ten years, he had a doctorate, and was ready to begin working. It was at this point that his life took a spiral downwards. Kinjiro could not find any where to work, and was stuck with mundane jobs, like those his parents had. Eventually, he found an opening at the nearby high school, for a janitorial position, and he snatched it up, so he could make money whilst still searching for a place where his degree would be useful.
Personality: Kinjiro retained many of the personality traits he had throughout his life, including a discomfort with social interaction, envy for those who were naturally confident, and bitterness. Embarrassed with where he has ended up, he dislikes talking to anyone about his work, for a fear of being mocked because of it. The only time he’ll really make conversation is when he is required to. It doesn’t help that he constantly appears to be irritated, which comes through clearly in his speech and manner. Though he is visually intimidating, he does not realize this, and is still quite shy when placed in a crowd. Kinjiro’s anger issues have almost completely vanished, and he now does not snap at anyone near as much as he used to. While he appears to be frustrated with everyone, the only person he gets truly upset at is himself.
