It wasn’t hard, the smell was all over the Sun Dorm so it wouldn’t be hard to track down. . .it was simply waiting the tide out. Never tread a beast’s lair without knowing for sure that the beast, or in this case the ‘beasts’ were well under the cloak of sleep. Sighing, a little bored, the elegantly dressed red-head leaned against the very tree occupied hours ago by his two friends. It gave a rather clear view of many of the rooms in the Female Sun Dorm, not that Yuu was looking, per-say, simply checking to make sure the human female’s were asleep. If he was going to tread those halls and rooms as a silent phantom he would be rather comforted to know the girl’s were not going to see him. Yuu was not going back to the room looking as Dorian had. How in the world the vampire, even as an unawakened pureblood, could allow a mauling that great to happen. . .Yuu was at a loss for words. Sighing he rotated a shoulder, the tight strain in the muscle was slowly slipping away, the fang marks left were already gone. .his bitten skin healed by their powers but the lasting affects still lingered.

He waited another moment, the last light had been turned off at least twenty minutes ago, plenty of time for those who turned it off to fall into a slumber correct? Slipping from the tree, quiet as a shadow Yuu made his way into the dormitory, treading carefully as a church mouse in these halls. It was a sad excuse to look at compared to his own grand dorm. Cross really put no effort into making this place look as decor’d as the vampire dorms. A little unfair but maybe humans preferred this? And it was grander then anything thing else these humans would have been use too in a school. The scent was heady in the air, Dorian’s stuck out amongst the human’s like a rose in a pile of onions. Not saying that the human’s smelled as revolting as a vegetables, comparison really was all he meant. Shaking his head at the internal conflict his mind was debating, he proceeded deeper, gathering things he found along the way already. Books for one thing, a tower of them easily lifted by the vampire lad, he had taken those back to the gate keeper for safe keeping. He hadn’t wanted to carry those around, to troublesome so as soon as Yuu located the suitcase that had Dorian’s scent all over it Yuu retreated out of the President of the Night Class Fan Club’s room he made a bee-line for the exit.

Of course not without stopping my Aislyn’s room. He was curious, what could he say? That was easy to find as well, nudging open the door he peeked in and found it empty. Isolated even, not a two bedder like most of the other dorms and the last door ont he end of a hall that lead no where. There at the foot of her rumpled bed was the bright orange duffle she had brought, presumably, with her. Figuring she’d want her own clothing, nessecities and whatever else in the morning Yuu crossed the room and gathered that as well. Hopefully those two were behaving, he shuddered to think of what they could have possibly started in his absence. . .however, he believed Aify to have a some-what rational mind so if things went out of hand she’d stop it. Hopefully? Exiting out her window, not wanting to push his luck in the halls. Yuu had located Dorian’s missing boot, the twin already in his room, his's suitcase, books and now as he stopped by the registration building he nabbed the Pureblood an extra uniform and key. There! Everything the other male would possibly need and Aify’s things, some how he felt like a pack mule, or an errand boy but he didn’t mind all that much either. The night was calm, peaceful and cool against his fevered skin. A feeding always causing his body to grow in warmth, something he found irksome preferring the tendrils of cold then heat to curl around his body but what could he complain? He was full for once, satisfied by real blood and that of a Pureblood and it put him in a shockingly good mood. Hell, he was whistling softly to himself as he took the long forest path, to please the eye with the large moon and canopy of trees.

He thought himself alone, not expecting many of his own classmates to be out and about, especially with blood on the air. Surprisingly Cross or the Guardians had not been called, which was probably a good thing for Aify's sake but now that the school had a Pureblood on their hands something would have to be done about it. Cross would want to know, if the retired Vampire Hunter didn’t already know himself. Yuu found all that rather ironic, a great Hunter building a school to make peace between the thing he once hunted and the race he lived as. Not that Yuu minded, he had no problems with the humans. Rustling, soft whispers and then the sloppy dragging of feet where etching on his hearing confirming his previous thought that someone else was out and about, and as if the person was begging to be noticed with all the noise they were making. The smell of vampire was clear and the heavy weight of pressure once more surrounded him making him shiver with recognition. ‘Dorian?’ Yuu thought spinning on his heel expecting the Blue Haired Wonder ( his own personal nickname) to be following him, stalking him with that mischievous smile. Yet his one emerald optic fell on the retreating back of a female, vampire no doubt who held a rather beautiful umbrella in her hand. Once more, to say Yuu was in a pleasant mood a soft smile turned his lips from the usual stoic scowl into a charming smirk. ‘Good evening, out for a walk,’ he called over to her. Puzzled he tried to think if he knew her. She looked. . vaguely familiar. . .but most of the other vampires his age that he had met where in his youth. Yet, she seemed rather familiar. And he had only met one other Pureblood in his life. A Nakajima. . .Ko. . .Komaki? No, that was the Elie’s child and she had raven hair. This female had a shock of pale straw blonde, that bouyanced perfectly around a angel-carved face. Ko. . Oh it was Kotone! He had a brief chat with her once at a social or something.

Yuu was good with faces and names but it certainly had been along time ago. She had a familiar scent though, something he had grown accustom to smelling. . .almost like she had always been around and he had never noticed. Or maybe she was wearing a perfume his mother or sister owned? ‘Hmm,’ he mumbled to himself shifting the many things in his hands to a more comfortable weight and realized he should have address her properly. Another Pureblood. . great. ‘Miss Nakajima correct. Kotone if I’m not mistaken,’ he asked tilting his head to the side, red bangs falling against the eye patch he wore as his smile widened into a grin. Yeah, he was feeling way to good. Standing there with a duffle across his left shoulder, followed by the white moon uniform draped over his forearm and right hand carrying the suitcase he must have looked like a errand boy, or someone how had yet to make it to his room. . even though Yuu had been there almost a week now. He wondered, minutely, how long Kotone had been at the Academy, had he been so wrapped up with Dorian and Aify he failed to notice her presence?

ooc ;; Why thank you! Their fun to post too x D Aify wouldn't mind what you called her. . .she's never had a rival!! Ack I gotta go tho! Work = p I, however, don’t work very long today I don't think so I shall see you all shortly!

The thought to just run away was extremely over-bearing. Just to run or flee, like a coward. It was hard for Kotone to admit she was a coward, since normally, she could always speak up or share her opinion. Of course, being around a person she had stalked for most of her life, it wasn't easy for her to say anything. For a moment, she had stood facing away, confused, and speechless. Until, mustering up as much little courage she had, she slowly turned her body around to face Yuu. As she laid her crimson gaze onto him, she hadn't really seen what she'd expected. Instead of a vampire standing tall, he was carrying books and other nick-nacks. Her eyes flickered from the luggage he was carrying, to him, and then back again. She wanted to ask, but couldn't help but get the feeling that it was really none of her business. Intruding on another person's business isn't really what she wanted to do, no matter the person.

''Yes, I figured I had nothing to do.'' She replying. Walking through the night always seemed to comfort her senses, and at the time it had seemed to be a wonderful idea. Yet, as she looked back to her feelings then, and the awkwardness now, she began to regret her decision. Perhaps she should have thought ahead before approaching Yuu. He probably thought at the moment that she was some kind of deranged stalker, when that was only partly true. She had no idea what to say next, and for a moment, there was an eerie silence between the two that sent shivers up her spin. It looked as if he was thinking, trying to remember something. He was most likely trying to remember Kotone. It bothered Kotone a bit. Although she did not blame him from not remembering her from so long ago, it just bothered her because it made her feel as if she was not that remembered. It was rather ironic. Her mother was well-known, beautiful, and easy to remember. Sure, Kotone had a lot of her traits, but those were on physical. Whenever somebody in the vampire world talked about Kotone, they'd refer to her as Victoria's daughter, or Mrs. Nakajima's girl. It bothered her extremely that they couldn't even remember her own name, she and her father were just side characters to the amazing story of her German mother.

She nodded at his second response. Yes, that was correct. Though, it was the second part that really caught her attention. He had said ''Kotone'', remembered ''Kotone'', not just Miss Nakajima or Victoria's daughter. It secretly pleased her that her name was not forgotten, that it was out there somewhere. Not to mention the fact that the vampire she had held a rather large crush on for so many years, had actually remembered her name. Though, the pleasant feel didn't last long, for he seemed distressed. ''Is something the matter?'' To Kotone, it seemed as if Yuu was under pressure of some sort, and she couldn't help but think that it had something to do with all the books and things that Yuu was carrying.

A light breeze came their way, which ruffled Kotone's hair, and she caught a brief scent of yet another vampire. Only, this was a very special vampire, a very old one indeed. Almost as if this one vampire had been on the earth for many centuries. She sniffed the air once again, and another time. Both times, she could smell him. Her crimson eyes flickered around the forest, and in the direction of the Moon dorms. ''Somebody's here...'' She muttered, a mysterious and confused look overbearing her features. She took a few steps towards the scent, and was about to begin to run, when she had remembered. She was still with Yuu, still in a conversation. No need to run to it yet, she'd find the source of that smell later. Right? It was hard for Kotone to restrain herself to find the source, it was so strong and powerful, hard for a mischievous vampire to resist. She was always very curious about her surroundings, which was one of the reasons why she had followed Yuu around for all those years. She had a tendency to always want and need information. She just hated it when people lied to her, or didn't tell her the whole truth.

She turned her attention away from the smell and back towards Yuu. ''Pardon me asking,'' she told him politely, ''but who is it that I smell?'' It was an overpowering scent, it took over the air all around the dorms. If Kotone gambled, she would have bet that you could smell it from a mile away. It took over all scents around it, any vampire would notice it, even the most weak or young could smell it. It smelt almost as special as her mother did, so very grand and special. Yet, with Kotone's meager knowledge of pure-blood history, she couldn't put her finger on it. She didn't mean for the smell to distract her from Yuu, it was just so difficult to turn away from it. Especially since she was completely oblivious to who it was.

Dorian's eyes fluttered shut when he felt Aislyn’s hand caress his chest, her fingers grazing the flat of his stomach until she touched his hip. He felt her hand snap back, recoiling, and he snickered into the crook of her neck. “Ah, Aify,” he cooed as he stilled his fingers on the fasten of her trousers, “seems you’re awake; that’s an awfully interesting way to rouse someone from a deep slumber, I kind of like it.”

He pushed himself up then and he peered down at her with sparkling, iridescent eyes. The room was dark, the mounds of books and faded furniture shroud in a dim gray veil. He had drawn the curtains back over the wide window so no one could see inside—though how anyone could, he didn’t really know, but he figured it was probably his subconscious planning ahead in case Yuu-san decided to enter through his window… but it was latched. Dorian grazed the back of his hand along Aislyn’s stomach, his fingers brushed against her sternum and the swells of her breasts, and he gently touched her lips—his fingertips were cool, the water that dampened his skin chilling him in the wider space of Yuu-san’s bedroom.

He brushed his hand down to touch the side of her neck, it was still bruised and his fangs marks were cavernous underneath his sensitive fingertips. A soft smile tugged up the corners of his mouth and he slowly retracted his hand away from her neck. “I hope you enjoyed my feeding while it lasted; it’s sad to think that it’ll never happen again… My first and last time drinking directly from a human.” He sighed heavily and he feathered his long fingers into the front of her golden tress. “Do what—” he faltered and he cocked his head to the side as if he were listening to a far away sound. He furrowed his brow and the left corner of his mouth tugged down into a slight frown. “Kuran, Edevane, Hiou, Shirabuki,” he muttered to himself as he ticked the four Pureblood lines off on his fingers, “Which one is she from… I know she isn’t from mine… or Kuran, that’s for certain…”

He sucked his bottom lip into his mouth and he chewed on the delicate skin lightly as he pondered. He shook his head, hardly noticeable to the human eye, and he huffed. “Can’t be Hiou, I don’t think… Shirabuki, maybe? The other nine Pureblood lines created by the Origin wiped themselves out… creating the aristocrats…” The bed shushed as he collapsed onto it, pausing fleetingly to snap up his tattered remnants of his black shirt, and he draped it over his lap as he laid flat against the plush mattress.

He stared up into the ceiling, the blackness batted away by the soft glow of his eyes, and he grumbled. The red and gold hue splashed across the ceiling narrowed as he slit his eyes. “What’s a Pureblood doing here?” he hissed. He didn’t like it, he felt threatened and it smelled fishy. He glanced at his fingers again and he ticked off the members of each family that he could remember. “There’s Kuran Kaname, Kuran Yuuki, Shirabuki Sara, her parents, myself… Hiou Shizuka, but she’s deceased…” He nibbled the inside of his cheek and he narrowed his eyes as he pondered; he could only remember meeting the Purebloods he had just named… counting him, there were only six Purebloods left… but as he had just thought, he may not have met the one that he had sensed…

“Á deux balles,” [Damn] he muttered, and his tattered black shirt fluttered and crumpled across Aislyn’s torso as he moved and appeared in front of the dresser. The drawers opened, seemingly untouched by his hands at all, and he threw on a pair of dark jeans and a white, button-up linen shirt. He folded the sleeves up so they wouldn’t slip over his hands and he leaned down and cuffed each leg of his jeans so they wouldn’t drag on the floor as he walked. He would have to leave Aify alone for a short moment, but she seemed tired and exhausted by the day’s events.

He moved into the bathroom, his white, grass-stained trousers still folded neatly between the double marble sinks, and he slipped his belt from the loops. A breeze tousled Aislyn’s hair as he appeared in front of her, his feet bare since he didn’t have his boots—and he didn’t really feel like wearing Yuu-san’s—and he flashed a warm smile down at her. “Why don’t you rest, Aify,” he said, his words punctuated by the shwip of his leather belt being threaded through the loops of his dark jeans. The silver buckle tinged as he fastened it and he leaned over to ruffle Aislyn’s hair as he unbuttoned the first several clasps of the white long-sleeved shirt he wore. “I’ll be back,” he cooed, and he moved again.

A gentle breeze tossed the heavy drapes that had blocked Yuu-san’s wide window—which now stood ajar, the only sign of Dorian’s departure.

He shoved his hands into his jeans pockets as he landed in the courtyard below. He really didn’t like sensing another Pureblood, it irked him to no end. He knew of Kuran Kaname’s past encounters with the Senate; he didn’t want the same to happen with him if they found out that he was Edevane—the Origin’s second eldest son, Kuran being the oldest. If they knew—whew, who knew what they’d try to do?

Then again, Dorian thought as he stopped at the foot of the wall. He tipped his chin back and he looked up at it, his hands still in his pockets. His poly-jeweled eyes glimmered and cast the shadowed wall in a gold and ruby haze, they could already be aware of me…

He sighed again and he slipped his hands out from his jeans pockets. He brushed his fingertips along the side of the wall, feeling for the deep grooves between the worn stone, and he swiftly scaled up the side. It felt exhilarating; though it was as fleeting as a soft sigh. He perched himself atop a parapet, the gate tower loomed over him as it stood watch over the long marble bridge, and he stuffed his hands back into his jeans pockets as a cool wind buffeted his figure. His dark blue tress obscured his poly-jeweled eyes and the breeze tossed his loose shirt and whipped against him.

He narrowed his eyes as he cocked his head to the side and he smelt—“Mm, Yuu-san,” he murmured and a gentle smile tugged up the corner of his mouth as he righted himself, standing up straight as he looked over the expanse of forest separating Cross Academy from the rest of the world, “you smell almost as good as you taste.”

He stepped off the peak of the parapet and the balls of his feet touched the cool marble ground of the bridge below. He chuckled lightly to himself as he twirled around, a leaf fell from the lush tree that had shroud him darkness just before he awakened and it caught in his blue tress. He felt his hair stir at the new sensation and he tipped his gaze up as if he could see the top of his head. “Heh~” a curt chuckle escaped past his lips and his short laughter lingered behind him as he moved again; the quaint leaf that had delicately perched itself on the crown of his head hovered in the cold, then fluttered to the marble ground.

Whoosh… Dorian stopped beside Yuu-san and he arched a dark blue eyebrow at him, catching the unknown young woman’s last words. “…but who is it that I smell?”

He glanced down at his suitcase in the red-headed vampire’s hand. “Yuu-san,” Dorian cooed, “you’re so sweet and kind to me.” He glanced over at the girl and his poly-jeweled eyes glinted in the moonlight as he slipped his left hand from his jeans pocket and he plucked his suitcase free from the red-head’s grasp. He raised the light, black leather case and he carefully looked it over, his gaze hard and searching. It ranked of the Sun Dorm’s scent, not that he thought human’s putrid—God no! He just promised Aify that he would protect them, but he didn’t like the memory of his precious top hat being torn to pieces and rationed out to the Moon Dorm President’s fan base.

He sighed, dropping his hand to his side, and he trained his gaze on the young woman standing in front of him. “You’d be smelling me, m’selle,” he said, his voice sharp and hard, “I would give you my name, but—since I don’t know if you’re here on behalf of the Senate—I’d rather not; I’d be invaluable to them, it would seem, and I don’t want history to repeat itself.”

Now that he had seen her, this Pureblood—a Pureblood that didn’t make sense to him since he didn’t know who she was (or the family that she descended from)—his opinion of her sank lower. He narrowed his poly-jeweled eyes and he flickered his gaze along the length of her voluptuous figure. “Yuu-san?” he said and he tilted his head towards the red-headed vampire beside him, Aify’s orange duffle bag looped over his shoulder. His new bleach-white uniform caught his eye and he set his leather suitcase down on the ground by his feet. He reached over, his eyes still trained on the girl standing in front of him, and he plucked his uniform free of Yuu-san’s forearm. He draped it over the top of his suitcase and he continued his thought towards the red-head, “Which Pureblood bloodline is she a descendant of: Hiou or Shirabuki? You know as well as I that the other nine wiped themselves out…” He leaned into the fiery lad’s ear and he whispered lowly, “and I know for a fact she isn’t from mine or Kuran's…”

Ah poor girl, out and about by herself she seemed. . .melancholy, maybe, somehow? Yuu was still a little puzzled about how she could have been there but as he thought more on her name the more she began to take more of a form in his mind. He had heard of her family, his mother was never a social vampire preferring the quiet countryside of her home manor but his sister had certainly been out there in the circuits. Why? Yuu figured she was trying to nab a even richer husband then that of the Vincent family, who in human terms were incredibly rich but somewhat mediocre on the vampire scale. Yuu’s father lacked a business mind and his grandfather was to intent on the Senate after the Kuran’s attack upon it all these years ago. Yuu himself had been comfortable with his lifestyle but he was wandering from his thoughts. Kotone Nakajima or better known bitterly in her case as Mrs. Nakajima’s girl. Victoria’s daughter. ‘I see. Well a walk is a great time passer. I’m running a few errands myself,’ he added hoping that explained his bizarre collection of suitcases, clothing and books. He really didn’t make it a point to look or approach a young lady looking like the bell-boy at a snazzy hotel but she had been making her presence known so he figured it couldn’t hurt to stop for a moment and chat politely. They would be classmates soon.

As she nodded, affirming his suspicion of her name he was rather pleased with himself for remembering after one meeting so long ago. However, he had heard enough gossip to keep him on track with many of those his age in the vampire social world. Even if he didn’t leave the house himself. What a wonder elder sisters were. He must have let his emotions show a little, in to pleasant of a mood to really focus on scowling, but she had commented if anything was the matter. It was slightly awkward with her, like she was fighting with herself to stay even though her placid face never showed it he wondered if she was the shyer type and had been wanting to be alone. ‘Er it’s nothing. I must have been lost thinking about something,’ he smiled brushing off her concern easily, not wanting to worry her or anything of the sort as he casted a sly glance back up at the Moon Dorm. He was pushing it. . .leaving them alone but then again he didn’t really have any ground to think that something was going on. Both were consenting, old enough and, once again hopefully, responsible enough to handle themselves alone. Still it irked him. Wether spurred on by jealousy or actual worry his thoughts were soon interrupted.

The shift of wind brought the scent wafting towards them, the smell of other vampire of his status was weak but one stood out amongst all. Naturally. He wasn’t as disturbed as Kotone was, who seemed to have caught Dorian’s scent. She was rather funny to watch though Yuu would never in the world have let her known that or would have laughed but it was tempting. Sniffing the air once more himself to assure himself no blood was being spilt though he trusted Lael completely he nodded at her muttered words. She was confused which was explainable, if Cross Academy had known of the Pureblood being there all the families sending their children would have been noticed ( Kotone’s case was still bothering him in that aspect) and they would all have known that they traveled these halls with a Pureblood. To just catch a scent of one, with no reasoning behind it Yuu would have been confused and excited as well. Watching her take a few steps towards the Dorm, looking as if she was about to spring in to a run she stopped herself turning back to him her full attention. The need to chuckle at her reaction was being once more surprised but he smiled pleasantly at her.

Ah curious indeed. Yet Yuu was all the more curious about Kotone, it was as if she was a pureblood herself but. . . not quite. Rather frustrating but Yuu kept himself from such emotions as he focused on Kotone’s questions. How to answer properly would take a moment of thinking, a moment he did not have himself as he felt the air tremble, the scent all to clear as it appeared at is side. He would have flinched if he hadn’t been use to that, Lael’s presence within his own sphere of personal space was becoming far to known. Just as he adapted Aify’s presence around him all the time as well. Glancing at the blue haired male Yuu sighed wondering why he was out here. . .but turned back to Kotone. ‘That would be him your smelling,’ he told her before his attention was snapped up by Dorian.

‘Not at all Lael-sama, it was easy to come across,’ Yuu answered with a smile as he let the Pureblood glace Kotone over, he seemed just as suspicious of her as she was of him. It was like letting a lion and a lioness meet for the first time. Both dominate in nature they would most likely clash in time to see who was strongest and earned the title of ultimate. As the suitcase was plucked from his hand Yuu handed it over, now letting his free hand rest against his hip as he watched, some what amused, as Dorian looked over his suitcase. The smell of human female was heavy on it and he could see it displeased the blur haired male but that had been his fault. Vampires could easily escape the clutches of frail humans if they truly wanted. It might come to erasing their minds later but it was possible. As Dorian now turned a harden attention to Kotone Yuu felt a little defensive about the onslaught of Dorian’s words towards the girl but he knew the same feeling of not wanting to be caught by the Senate. Maybe he had let his guard down, feeling to rejuvenated and light from his hunger for once to suspect this female. If she was a spy from the Senate she would certainly not be returning to her dorm this night, as a shame as it would be to chase such a peculiar girl off Yuu was having no hand in the Senate’s game.

Glancing between the two it was certain that the leisurely chat Yuu and Kotone were having was going to change but Dorian was always a peculiar one himself and even though the poly-hued gaze rarely, if ever, left Kotone he had the time to focus on Yuu as well. Yuu was more concerned to where Aislyn was. . .certainly no vampire would go near his room with the smell of a Pureblood lingering in it, even if there was a human, so as long as she stayed put she was safe. . but that was always the problem with her. She never stayed put! Yet he had little time to ask on his friend whereabouts as Dorian addressed him. Turning a emerald iris to the male he waited, showing Lael that he had Yuu attention. Allowing him to take his uniform as well, Yuu tried to think of an answer that would satisfy Dorian’s question; the need for information was as thick as blood in the air. Suppressing the shiver brought on my Lael’s infuriating need to be close but figured Dorian didn’t want his words to be overheard so he allowed it this one time. Dorian was going to learn quick that even though he was a friend and a Pureblood Yuu needed space. Lots of it to be comfortable.

Sighing himself, he ran his left hand through his hair glancing at the female before leaning his head towards Dorian’s so he could whisper and not be heard by Kotone who stood a few feet away from them. He wasn’t feeling as bad for her know as he thought her a Senate spy but it was a regret to think someone like her their pawn. ‘I have no clue. She is Kotone Nakajima. German and Japanese bloodlines,’ he racked his brain for the possibility of a hidden bloodline even more secret then Edevane. . .it was a slim chance any of the eradicated Nine survived but could it be possible? ‘We’ll need to ask her ourselves. . . though I wonder if she be telling or willing to tell the truth,’ he mused glancing at Kotone with a level gaze.

ooc ;; Geh! I ran out of time. I was going to make this longer and more in-depth > <

┌✩┘That. . .was. That was too cruel! Biting her lip, carefully now that she didn’t have her two strong vampire males to protect her from the others, the human girl glanced around the dimly lit room. Feeling the sudden space suffocating her. The window, that Dorian escaped from, after teasing her meanly (Yes! Meanly she has decided.) was still open letting the pale moonlight splash everything in the dim greyness that made everything seem cold. Lifeless almost. It just felt to empty for her liking, to open, to dim, to grey, to. . .lonely. It had been barely minutes, maybe not even a full one and the girl was already swinging her legs off the bed, sitting there as she pondered what to do. She knew. . .she should just sit there, be a good little girl and wait. Maybe go to sleep and rest. Or. . .she could get up, walk very carefully around the mounds of books to the door, open it and escape into the Moon Dorm. She ran the chance of getting cornered by other vampires, though she doubted any would really take her into consideration, since they were all here to live in peace and not create problems. Right? They wouldn’t just pounce on her like a hungry bear?

Giggling at the term she had thought of she tried to imagine Dorian as a bear but somehow only got the image of the handsome vampire dressed up, cutely one might add, in a cosplay costume of a teddy bear. ‘Ooo scary,’ she chuckled to herself, nearly laughing now from the thought alone and stood from the bed. Brushing her shirt back into order, glad she had one now and not what she had been wearing previously and making sure her trousers were still fastened properly. She really didn't want them falling off as she walked. God knows what Dorian had done while she was in that expanse of sleep,. . .damn it all and her inability to wake in the most crucial of moments!! Unless being provoked it seemed. Her cheeks flushed in the thought, ‘God~ he’s soooooooo embarrassing,’ she squealed to herself, venting both a little anger, mostly embarrassment, and shuddered as she brushed the length of her forearm against her stomach. As if she was trying to erase the memory of his touch. Which could and would never happen. He really was an odd one, he had a dorm filled with beautiful vampire girls and yet he played and teased her; of all females that were around. Rolling her eyes, scoffing at the empty room she felt her way out, toeing books so she didn’t hit them, brushing her fingers against the wall until a moment or two later she found the door. Light could be seen from the centimeter wide space between floor and door. Which meant the lights had been turned on in the hall, the shuffle of feet just outside the door was accompanied by soft murmurs of sleepy voices. The others were up.

Swallowing nervously, the conversation Yuu and Dorian had earlier about her safety replayed in her mind, cursing mentally at it she retreated from the door and away from what stood outside it. Back to the bed and it’s cold silky sheets! She nearly groaned at the thought but thought better of it. Shivering against them as she sprawled back out she wished Lael had stayed and kept her warm. Even if it meant she’d have to deal with his. . peculiar ways. Oh who was she kidding? She’d gladly succumb to his will, warmth or no warmth. Maybe she was a bit to...whoreish in her own heart, being starved from the affection she wanted. Threading her long hair through her fingers she glanced back at the door hearing feet pause outside it and voices gathering. Crap.

                              “What’s that smell?”
                              “Don’t know, it’s sweet like. . .”
“Human? I smell it too but there’s more then that.”
“There’s someone in there, think they’d mind if we let ourselves in?”
                              “Should we that’s rude,”

Aify blinked, hearing the softest of taps against the door and jumped to her feet, right there on the bed she glanced around. Hide in the bathroom? Under the bed? Shooot! Where could she flee? Why did they even want in? Was it Dorian's scent or her's that was luring them like flies to honey? A gentle breeze wafted in, tickling the back of her neck and she flinched expecting a vampire that had snuck through the window, and squeaked shrilling falling to her knees holding her hands in defense as if to ward who ever it was off. Squeaking? Really now. . . Her heart hammered and her stomach felt like it had fallen away from the sudden fear; half wishing it was Yuu or Lael. A few loud heartbeats later Aify glanced warily behind her finding no one there and it had been but the wind. Sighing she let her heart calm, releasing her tight tentsion for a moment. . .she wasn't out of the woods yet. Her squeak had been heard no doubt and the voices out side the door grew a little in volume. The debate to enter seemed to be winning in the less favorable situation for her. It was either stay there to get caught or . . .

                              --

                              Crack.

‘Ouch! s**t,. . urgh stupid tree,’ Aislyn whimpered rolling off her back onto her left side and rubbed her now aching elbow and shoulder. That was definitely going to brusie, thankfully she heard nothing crack so nothing was broken. A branch flopped off her back as she moved, the same branch she had seconds ago set her foot tenderly down on, hoping it would have held her weight. It hadn’t. But. . she was out, after the rash decision to scale out the window Aify found her self halfway down the wall, nimble as a spider-moneky and had run out of foot-hand holds. Thus leading to jumping into the nearest tree, which hadn’t been hard. She was rather skilled at it from years of practice. From there it had been scaling down the tree, another easy feat, but the last five feet of the tree didn’t have branches. That had been a problem. . .the grounds keepers must of had the trees clipped annually. She had been ready for the pain of jumping to the ground, mostly marble that had some grass and tree roots growing over the white tile . . . but the branch she had expected to hold her snapped. Now leaving her bruised even more and horrfingly she found bleeding. AGAIN! A nice little branch induced scrape, right across her jaw bone and another line digging deep through her cheek. It stung like hell but she had worse, rolling up her sleeve that now fell over her hand she found it torn and hoped Yuu wouldn't kill her for this. Really, he had to many of these anyways. Ripping the cloth free from the shoulder seam she folded the torn cloth into a square like shape, then pressing it against her face as she scrambled, achingly, to her feet. A quick look around told her the bridge was probably not a very safe bet. . .maybe she could hide out in the woods and hope to find a path instead to keep her entertained until she could figure out what to do. The exposed arm, she was sad to find, was her scarred one and something she had wanted to keep vcovered while in the midsts of vampires. The smooth angry redness marred the otherwise pale skin in the ragged line but after years of having it Aislyn really didn’t care what people thought of it. Sure, she rarely, if ever, was caught with short sleeves on. Always having a coat or sweater over her form but desperate times called for desperate measures. Not that she was desperate or anything.

Just cold. And lonely and chased out of the one room she had felt safe in. Now what? Dorian had left after mumbling really odd things, things that sounded like family names. Then he just up and left, moving like the wind, at least being kind enough to leave a departing farewell and touch behind in his wake. Yet, she neither knew where Dorian was or Yuu for that matter. Now she was wondering around the forest, possibly now filled with vampires and shivered a little at the thought as it chilled her skin. Not from the cold entirely but also from the black expanse of the forest. Even with the muted moonlight everything was so. . dark. So black it was hard for her eyesight to make out anyhting but large black clumps of mass she was hoping were the trees. Swallowing nervously she bated images of ghosts and monsters from her mind’s eye, more worried about a roaming vampire and looked around for a shelter. Maybe she could find a tree? Though she doubted she could climb one with how tired she was, and sore now and in this pitch blackness. The wind brushing it’s tendrils around her made her shiver once more and Aify was quick to find a hollow base in a tree. (Cause she tripped over it naturally!) Perfect, she could hunker down in the bowl of wood and maybe get some rest, if a vampire found her welllll~ she’d have to deal with it.

It was cold, dark and probably stupid in her case to continue through without knowing or being able to see where she was going. She was bleeding enough, she didn’t need to trip and cause more blood. Though maybe that would make Yuu or Lael find her. . .they always seemed to be able to and that one thought alone made her smile a bit. They would find her, or the morning would. Either way as long as she stayed hidden something good would find her. Letting her knees curl against her chest she hugged her scarred arm around them for warmth, leaving her free hand to press the compress against her cheek. Feeling the material stick as the blood congealed she didn't want to tear it away, in fear of causing it to bleed more and rested her forehead on her knees, curling up to save what body heat she had. It may, in a normal person's view seem best to get up and walk to keep blood flowing in her veins for warmth but Aify knew that she was a klutz and that spelled out certain disaster for her. No, best to sit still and wait.

What. A. Night. It could NOT get any worse.

                              ┌✩┘
