He gives another salute, "Thank you sir." He gives a crisp about face and goes back to his battle scarred mobile suit. He goes back up and places his gear back in the cockpit then he begins starts with the repairs.

Perhaps unlike other pilots who leave it to hte engineers he goes about directing and gettign his hands dirty putting them in place. Needless to say this makes the crew nervous and confused. Confused cause a Mech pilot is helping, and nervous is incredible pain tolerance and endurance.
