- Find the real assassin! Again, that person was standing right in front of Lelouch and he was none the wiser. The only way for the guards to obey that order was to frame someone else, and Suzaku couldn’t bare the thought of an innocent person being sentenced to death just because Lelouch had no awareness of what was really going on.
The guard nodded in understanding, apparently having no problem. He was probably just going to look for another person who might prove a nuisance in their plans and use that person as the scapegoat. Should that be the case, as his Knight, maybe Suzaku could dissuade Lelouch from giving any sort of strict punishment to that person when the time came.
The trek back to the palace was relatively silent, Suzaku not saying anything – both out of a fear of saying the wrong thing in front of the guards, and also not really knowing how to speak with Lelouch now. He obviously couldn’t act familiar with him. In Lelouch’s mind, they’d never met until just recently, and their first encounter had been with him under the impression that Suzaku was a dangerous assassin. Now Suzaku was going to be his knight – a direct subordinate.
It wouldn’t be like before, when Lelouch still treated him as an equal both in public and in private. Or would it? Although different, there seemed to be some of the same traits in Lelouch as before – and also traces of an added kindness for others, which hadn’t been their before.
Suzaku didn’t recognize the room they were brought to. It was in a remote part of the castle which was kept vacant, for the most part; guest suites and other such rooms that weren’t put to use for a majority of the year – though they were always kept clean and prepared for unexpected guests.
He was relieved Lelouch voiced his wanting Suzaku to stay in the room. Really the brunette didn’t think he could handle hearing another threat to Lelouch or Nunnally’s lives right now. And spending time alone with Lelouch could maybe bring him to remember who Suzaku really was. Doing that without outright telling him would be hard. Even harder would be acting as if he didn’t know Lelouch at all.
“Hey, I need your help.”
Suzaku looked up, noticing the guards were now gone, the door closed (probably locked) behind them. It was just him and Lelouch now. Said emperor was currently standing a yard or so away, carrying a change of clothes as well as some medical supplies in his arms. Suzaku nodded his head, understanding Lelouch needed help with dressing his wounds.

He followed Lelouch into the bathroom. “Yes, your Ma...” Emerald eyes widened as Lelouch, without a word, carefully began removing his clothes. Unbidden, a blush rose to his cheeks and he quickly looked away, shifting on his feet and trying not to give into the temptation of so much bare skin. Swallowing the lump in his throat, Suzaku tried again, though his voice was noticeably strained. “Yes your Majesty.”
Majesty was the perfect word for him, indeed. Even with the wound to his chest, Lelouch’s body was still beautiful, flawless like a work of art. Suzaku’s fingers twitched at his side, the desire to reach out and touch him stronger than ever.
Telling me to go
But hands beg me to stay
Your lips say that you love
Your eyes say that you hate
And I, I wont be the one
To leave this in pieces
And you, you will be alone
Alone with all your secrets
And regrets
Don’tlie.
But hands beg me to stay
Your lips say that you love
Your eyes say that you hate
And I, I wont be the one
To leave this in pieces
And you, you will be alone
Alone with all your secrets
And regrets
Don’tlie.
