She preferred four legs over two, but sometimes it was just far more conveneint to be on two. Lexi moved ever so quietly through the heart of her territory. For now, she was in her wolf form, her tiny paws padding softly along the dirt. There were no guards with her, only her brother, Dimitri. He was forever a wolf, and this saddened Lexi. Giving the smaller white wolf a n** on the side, she growled and sent him ahead of her. Lexi then stopped at a stream. She shifted into her human form, tucking a strand of her silver hair behind her ear.

"One day...He will be set free from that prison."

Lexi thought as she watched Dimitri go. The lycan woman's expression was sad as the white wolf disappeared into the darkness,headed back to the main castle. Lexi knew that she would be needed there eventually, but for now she just wanted to relax and relish in the sunlight. Sighing once more the white haired woman stretched her arms above her head and stared up at the bright sky, letting herself become blinded by the warmth.







"I need a break from the politics of being a leader..."

She mumbled under her breath. Very slowly Lexi sat down at the edge of the brook in front of her. Her eyes watched as the water rushed across the rocky bottom. She was becoming mezmerized by the sound of the rushing water, relaxing and letting her guard down.

Hanzo was glad when the women stopped her fighting. When she handed him the knife he was a bit uneasy about it and some of the feathers on his back started popping up again, but he quickly repressed it. He was glad man who owned it took it back. He smiled at the man's thanks and watched as he received healing. He turned away hoping not to be discovered and was about to leave before his honor got the better of him. He turned and walked back to the man. Is it really ok to let her go off on her own? he asked hoping to appeal to the man's sense of morality. His eyes looked saddened like normal as he spoke softly.

When he sees her take a few step forward, it looked to him as if she had something to prove, that she was unafraid of Hunters. "You think I fear hunters?" "My kind, we do not fear..." He continues staring at her as she spoke those words. He could tell, though. She was not absent of fear, after all if she was fearless she'd have no reason to hide. It seemed more like of a bravado, a shell, to make herself appear more hardened to others.

As he still looked into her red crimson eyes, he could tell, her eyes although beautiful were stricken with bitterness. It was betrayal, or something of that nature. He was not so sure, but he could tell her she had dark past, like himself, but made sure she hid it well. When she glances back at the commotion in front of them, so does he. He was ready to jump in at a moment's notice when he hears Knives speak again.

"Death, pain, tension, hatred, war...It is what creates us, feeds us...At least...Those of us born from the Abyss."

He looks back at her, only his expression saddened a bit. Was that all she really knew? It was ironic hearing her say these things since things like hatred and war, were some of the very things he is trying to rid the world of. When she asks him what he was doing here he smiles.

Thoughts: *Innocent bystander...?*

He could not help but chuckle at her once more.

"Well..."

He waits a moment now not answering her question right away. He directs his attention back to the situation ahead of them to see it come to it's climax. He sees the red hooded woman continue arguing with the others but then finally goes off on a different direction.

Thoughts: *hmm...I''m sure of it. That was Suzumie Caleas of the 'Hunters Order'. It was fortunate...*

He glances back at the Demoness.

Thoughts: *...that she went unnoticed. I'm glad.*

Sosuke's worries were put to rest. Although he wished that the fight could have been avoided he was just happy no one noticed the Demoness he was talking too, had they noticed he would've had no choice but to trey and protect her if they tried to kill her. He then sees a medic help the boy to the Tavern.

*sighs* As he looks back at the Demoness. Finally answering her question after a moment or two. He looks at her and smiles warmly.

"I'd heard that there were many disputes and conflicts, in this land, like the one we had just seen. I want to do something about that, stop the senseless fighting."

He was interested in seeing her reaction to his response. He wondered if she could even comprehend that at all. After all she is a Demon, and like she had adequately put her kind feeds off of things such as hatred and war. So was things such as peace and good will beyond their understanding?

He seemed interested in the woman with the red outfit. Frankly, she gave Knives the heeby-geebies but Knives knew that the woman wouldn't attack her. She had looked right into Knives' face. Knives looked at her new friend again. She liked him, although she would not admit it out loud. His presence calmed the terror in her heart. Her eyes softened as she stared at him, the hardened lines of her face were also starting to soften.

"Do you want to follow her? She is quite pretty, you know. You may have a chance! Catch up! "

Knives smiled devilishly. He had laughed at her again, and now she wanted her own kind of gentle revenge. She was teasing him, smiling as she did. She was being playful, comfortable in his presence.

She heard his response about what he was doing at the Tavern and she managed a true smile, not one of her heartless ones. She almost pitied creatures like him, but...was that not what she wanted in life... She wanted peace. To be able to live in chaos all on her own, maybe not even in chaos.

"Peace? Peace is only a dream. Kindness is a debt. Reality is harsh now. Many die trying to enforce peace..."

Her eyes were sad as she said this, the shadows were shifting at her feet, manifesting at her unease. They curled around her toes and feet, looking like black vines crawling at her skin. As long as there were her kind in this world, those who wished to do wrong to others, Knives knew that peace was not something that her kind could wrap their mind around. Knives smiled again at her new friend.

"My kind even name their children horrible things, in hopes that horrible deeds with be done by the horribly named...Knives...That is the one they chose for me..."

The fight or flight reaction that her body had previously eluded to was gone. She was completely relaxed and at ease with him, exposed almost completely. Despite her name, the girl seemed proud of herself when she spoke of it. Knives had grown to love her name, and who she was. Although she was not proud of what she did, she was a demon after all.

Completely Mad Scientific Monster

︽Kagetane stopped in front of a menacing metal table that was partly covered in dried blood. His stare went straight to a tack-board covered in nothing but information about his twelfth generation of attack dog. They had been the best at the time. Not prefect at all, but they had attributes to kill off recruit hunters in low numbers. While plenty more would be needed to kill an elite hunter. By now it's necessary to create a new generation fast. So he tore down everything from the tack-board and made his way to the laboratory cages.

There he kept many of his outdated creations along with captured hunter summons. He just wanted to see the summons as many of them could supply him with parts in completing his new line of attack dogs. The first summon was the strangest, the giant three toed porcupine was asleep while Kagetane approached it. He wanted its body covered in spines as a defense against those who might use hand to hand combat against the creation. Something he saw a lot of as some hunters would mix hand to hand combat with their magic and abilities. If possible having the body produce harder keratin could mean they could shrug off some things like sword attacks.

He had some of his creations take the thing to his main lab. While he continued on slowly looking over the summons. Many caught his eye for one thing, sensory organs would be interesting to experiment with. So he also sent away a Naga soldier for it's infrared pits near the nostrils. Then a shark monster for it's Electroreception. Only to stop at a rather strange summon of a female naga and alligator mix. It's narrow row of teeth were small and partially serrated. That would be the last piece to this creation.

Now it was time for the fun part to Kagetane. With all of the cages lined up side by side in the lab as Kagetane walked in not many of the summons were calm about it. But that wouldn't matter as they were all suddenly electrocuted to death just as he touched the first cage that came in. From there the bodies were taken out and set on ice while he pulled the porcupine into the table. Making it bloody as he removed the head, legs, and arms. Putting on a slim head from a recently killed wolf. Stitching was the main thing that took up his time as he also applied all of the limbs.

Then the sensory organs were rather easy to attach to the front of the beginning creation. While also having to carefully attach the nerves to the brainstem. Dabbing some pasty concoction of vampire stem cells and whole wolf nerves. The quick vampire generation meant it didn't have to take days for it to possibly work. Then it was time to replace the jaw which needed a electric bone saw to remove and more stem cells to attach.

Now with the creation almost ready it was time to add blood to the organs. But with many different types of blood from monster all over the land. None of them interested Kagetane except for an experimental mixture of demon, vampire, and wolves blood that wasn't even red anymore. It was as dark as night time itself and with a couple of bags worth the creation was ready for one last thing. Kagetane rigged the creation onto a lift while attaching copper cables to mimic electrochemical signals. But without using lightning like that of Frankenstein's monster.

Instead he used himself by having himself hooked up to the creation directly. With cables in hand Kagetane began when everything metal in the lab was cleared. Kagetane stood there with just some clothes on as a small hum could be heard coming from him as he started to use his magic. His body sparked a little before he became a living tesla coil. That only lasted for a moment as a thud came from the creation. He stopped and looked over to the struggling new creation just as it was moved to an empty cage.

There it was pacing back and forth while watching Kagetane changing from his burnt clothes back to his lab coat. "Well aren't you interestin-" He stopped in mid sentence as he was notified of a visit from the ruler of the vampire land. "Gather up the creations since were going to be expecting a guest." He told the messenger while placing a cover over the cage and leaving the lab. From there he left the facility to the barracks where a few of his soldier creations waited. From there he gave them instructions to meet the ruler himself while on his journey and escort him back here safely. ︾

{It seemed that no matter what anyone said Suzumie and the greenhorn were determined to duke it out with one another, though this wasn't particularly surprising, the newcomer seemed like he had something he wanted to prove while even Rufus knew that Suzumie never backed down. There was nothing he could do to stop it and he was content with watching the match play out and then give them both a much-needed "I told you so".

Once the pointless little duel had ended Suzumie stormed off-- again not much of a surprise-- and despite her comment that she was going to "release" him Rufus followed after her anyway. Even if she sent a letter to the head council it would do her no good, he knew that much, and her request would simply be denied. Even if he did go through for some reason he would still be tasked with spying on her, he would simply have to do it from afar, and this would just make his job a bit more difficult. Rufus, however, was never one to back down, either, not from his duty, anyway.

Leaving the town was just fine with him. Some strangers had appeared that piqued his curiosity and not so much in a good way. While he may not have had the psychic senses of Suzumie and some other hunters he had sharp, keen eyes gained from years of honing his archer skills. He had noticed those curious newcomers, and he had ever noticed something moving on the back of the neck of the red-haired warrior, but he had paid it little mind.

"Y'know, your recklessness and hotheadedness is just going to get you killed one day," he told her as he followed along behind her toward the next destination (where ever that was). He continued, "You're not a one woman army, Suzumie. You're human, you're not immortal... Stop playing with your life like you'll always come out unscathed, for once why not try trusting and depending more on others. Try depending on me for a change. We've been through a bit together, you know I've got your back."

Whether or not his words would make much of a difference was beyond him but he felt that he had to say them anyway.}

Squall sighed heavily as He saw the two leave He noticed Some people In the bar looking over at a paper that was left where Rufus was sitting. "Oh we got to go on a mission but lets leave top secret papers on the table." He said mocking them as He limped into the bar picking it up and another glass of beer that was sitting there He dranked it and started sighing as people were already whispering about another attack. he turned seeing Suzumie and Rufus gone from sight for good.

"Come on red lets go before they leave anything else behind." He said as He placed his hand on Hanzo shoulder keeping him up straight for a second before letting go. "I got a map and from the paper it says they are going to another place that just got attacked not too long ago by the science/Mad territory?" He said as He straighten His back a little and placing his gunblade on his shoulder. "Whats your name Red" He said looking at Hanzo.

"Oh do not worry, I will not let her start any trouble." Yes, if she decided to become troublesome Shea could always just freeze the nekomata. Though she thought maybe Kenji might like that idea, and she did not wish to make that damn b*****d happy in any way. Well besides when it came to her getting the job at hand finished. Then she could hopefully return home and be let alone for awhile. Yet the travel to the land of Myth and Aquatics was not going to be easy. And having her stop in on the Demon's as well. Really what a troublesome journey this was going to be. At least she could let Nyu give her some form of entertainment. Maybe just letting her run amok would suffice. Though not showing any emotion or feeling as she spoke. "See even the child wishes to get out of this stuffy place and see the other lands."

Seeing the look that Kensuke was giving his brother, Shea could tell that he was hoping he would say that Nyu could not go. Yet maybe Kenji did not love his brother as much as she and the others thought since he gave the okay. But still maybe he was angry over the mornings mishap and wanted this to be a sort lesson to him. Oh well, now Shea was going to take the cat with her. "Okay you, Nyu get over here it is time to leave.", she said in a rather commanding yet unfeeling tone. Shea just wanted to get the show on the road and at least make it as far as she could without having to stop for a meal. Yes she would have to keep her strength up on this trip.

Hanzo followed the man into the bar because it seemed the man wasn't done with him and he didn't want to be rude. When the man placed his hand on his shoulder Hanzo resisted the instinct to grab him and flip him over. Once that urge and some feathers were repressed He listened to the man further. He had been to the land that the man spoke of before. That place like many others didn't accept his presence for being half-tengu and half-human. Then the man asked him his name and he hesitated to answer for a bit. He motioned for the man to follow him outside. When they were outside he then told him. My name is...Hanzo he told the man slightly nervously. He wasn't sure if the man would've heard of the half-tengu ninja Hanzo or not, but he was taking a chance of either the man not knowing or the man knowing and not killing him for it.

Hanzo wasn't sure right away how to answer the man when he said he might of heard about him before. So it seemed guards this man had overheard knew about Hanzo's reputation. He didn't want to get attacked by this man, but then again the man's weakened state would make this a small possibility. If he did try to attack at this moment then Hanzo could easily get away. He decided he had nothing to lose and the risk was minimum. He sighed before speaking softly. You probably heard of Hanzo the half-tengu ninja. At Kenji’s words, Nyuu let out a cheer while Kensuke sighed quietly. “Brother I really don’t think letting her go is such a~” however Kensuke was interrupted by Nyuu jumping onto his face.
“I want that giant fish~nyu!! Let me go~nyu!!” Nyuu cried. Kensuke sighed again and removed Nyuu from his face before setting her on the floor. The move proved to be a wise one because the moment Kenji mentioned the land of demons, Nyuu’s fur ruffled up and hisses and snarls issued from her throat. Mentioning the realm Nyuu was born in was always a bad idea if she was in the room but Kensuke shot her a look that said ‘Calm down or no giant fish!’ and Nyuu became silent.

“Nyuu I want you to behave yourself ok?” Kensuke told her. “No setting anything on fire, no mauling anyone and don’t eat any living creatures unless Shea lets you.” Nyuu nodded and ran to where Shea was at the vampire’s command. Kensuke however focused his attention on his brother. “Of course brother, you can count on me.” he said. Why do I have a bad feeling about this? he thought glancing at Shea and Nyuu.

Hanzo

Hanzo was surprised when the man didn't seem to care about his demon blood. This had been the first person he had met like that. The man even called him human even if Hanzo was only half human. He followed the man when he asked him if he wanted to come. Hanzo didn't like being where he wasn't wanted, but it seemed this man didn't mind him being around. As they walked Hanzo stay quiet. He watched the surrounding area. The one lycan that spotted them fled when it met Hanzo's eyes. Neither monsters, demons, nor humans wanted him. He was a freak and an abomination to them. He wondered how the man handled such things if he did at all. Do you get stares of hatred from people for your form or do they fear you, but move on anyways.

Looking at Nyu when she hissed at the mention of demons. It was glad to see someone else hated those inferior creatures, yet kind of funny since Nyu was one herself. No matter though since once Nyu came to her side. "Now let us be off. We need to cover alot of ground. And you better be able to keep up. I do not take kindly to stragglers." Yes Shea was not afraid to ice the cat if she became a problem. It would be easy enough to pin the blame on someone else. Then again she was strong enough to protect the girl so she too would be at fault. Damn it all, maybe she did make a wrong decision. Oh no matter the girl was coming along. Shea started to walk out of the Dinning Hall and then towards the main doors. Exiting out of them, as she did not even check back to see if the cat was still following. "Now remember you are under my command at the moment and so I also expect all orders to be obeyed. I am not as nice as Kenji whom just cuts off a tail." And to let the girl know she really meant her threat the air grew chilly around them. Yes Shea was an expert at her powers as well, she could easily just freeze a small portion on someone, and the best part she could break it off, though the blood would be frozen in the area round it she always broke it off above the frozen area that way it still managed to cause someone pain.
