At this time, a battle had escalated where the participants of such battle, namely the Fifth Division Captain, Gen Eneshiin and the white haired leader of the black knights, had displayed their mettle against each other to a crucial point that could spell an end to either one of them. Currently, what appears to be a lost for the white haired girl ended in her favor as she dodges the menacing attack from the Fifth Division Captain with a tumble and toss her spear at him which was eluded only to turn the tables on him with a special skill that is unique only to the knights. With a strange chant, the armors of the fallen black knights had been broken down and disassembled to shards of metal that proceed to levitate off the ground and are seen circling around the Fifth Division Captain, blocking off any attempt to escape as the shards of armor glow a furious red. Though surrounded by the encirclement of armor shards, the Fifth Division Captain manages to impart a few words only in time to notice the white haired girl placing her shield in front of her in her bid to protect herself from what might happen next as she slams her free hand on the ground. This action serves as a warning to Gen-taicho as he realized what the girl intended to do as the armor shards glowed even brighter.
Gen-taicho’s response was instantaneous as he wasted no time in slamming his mace to the ground just as the armor shards ignite in a series of powerful explosions that rocked the area where Gen-taicho stood. The white haired girl was silent as she hid behind her shield while the explosion was taking place with a grand display of fire and smoke. She remained hidden behind her shield until the explosion ceased its fiery fury and all that remains on the battlefield is nothing but smoke and small smoking craters on the ground. The girl lowered her shield while still in crouching position to witness the destruction she has truss upon the Fifth Division Captain as all she can see is the huge cloud of smoke billowing from where Gen-taicho stood. She breathed a sigh of relief in celebration of her victory over the Fifth Division Captain but display no smile on her lips as she felt that the victory was just a lucky break for her and the battle itself was tougher than she expected. However, her victory was short lived as her face suddenly went pale from the sight she beheld as the curtain of smoke began to clear, slowly revealing a battered and wounded Fifth Division Captain on his knees. Though badly wounded on his side with his shihakusho in tatters, Gen-taicho is pretty much alive.
Cold sweat began to trickle down the girl’s forehead as she bear witness to the reason behind his survival of such a surprise attack as the Fifth Division Captain is within the cover of a dome made out of strong electrical currents that prevented most of the shards from reaching him. Her fear had frozen her in place as she watches the electric dome disperse in a slight spark crackle. The girl was speechless when the Fifth Division Captain let out a cry of pain as blood pools around him. However, instead of reacting, her fear escalated as she caught glimpse of Gen-taicho slowly rising to his feet, a horrifying sight to behold as his weapon spark and crackle in response. Suddenly, the Fifth Division Captain disappeared out of sight and before she could do anything, the Fifth Division Captain appeared towering over her as his burly shadow blankets her, her spear gripped in his left hand. After his words left his lips, a sharp pain could be felt emanating from her left foot as everything happened in an instant from the sight of him driving the spear through the armored steel protecting her leg to the sight blood splattering from the pierced flesh of her leg as the ground behind her leg crumble from the impact of the embedded spear tip. “Aaargh!!!” cried out the girl in excruciating pain as her instincts took over and forced her to focus on the spear as she franticly tries to remove it from her leg.
However, her attempts are in vain as the spear is stuck pretty deep and time wasn’t on her side as she realized that the Fifth Division Captain is preparing to strike her with his mace. Without much thought, she raised her shield in defense position and watch as sparks fly as the mace collides with the steel of her shield. The attack was relentless as Gen-taicho pounds on her shield over and over again with barely a pause in between. The girl may be safe from his blows but that doesn’t stop the flow of electricity from shocking her for every hit he delivers, an attribute that his mace is capable of. It felt like an eternity as the girl remained helpless and at the mercy of his attacks. However, that ended at the twelve blow as the Fifth Division Captain staggered back and propped himself up with his mace as support due to blood lost which is a breath of relief for the white haired girl but the attack left her battered and shocked as evidenced by the cracked shield and billowing smoke emanating from her black armor. Her head was hung low and her body is weakened by the blows as she stares blurrily at the floor, still crouching as blood pools around her pierced leg. She then felt something touch her shoulder plate which prompted her to lift her head slightly in time to see Gen-taicho lit his cigarette with aid from the remaining embers of her charred armor. She could barely hear his words as he turned around to leave but ended up face first on the ground as he lay there motionless with a large shard of metal protruding out of his back.
Sunlight began to pierce through the dispersing stormy clouds as they illuminate the battlefield. The girl remained crouched as her gaze never left the Fifth Division Captain. His words “White Rook takes Black Knight” raced past her mind as she continues to gaze at him with weary eyes. Slowly, a smile etched itself on her lips. “That was kind of you to call me the Black Knight when all along your opponent is nothing but a Black Pawn,” responded the white haired girl softly but would have been enough for Gen-taicho to hear it if he were conscious. Suddenly, the shield on her hand began to crack further until it crumbled to pieces completely as the shards of her shield rain down on the ground as she coughs up blood. Memories of the briefing she had before infiltrating the Soul Society filled her mind. “Your mission is simple. To infiltrate and keep the shinigami busy enough for our Captain to disable their main defenses and to allow the red squad to locate the target,” briefed a feminine looking shadow. “In other words, we are to sacrifice ourselves just so someone else can carry out their objectives. That’s pretty harsh. 1%” remarked the white haired girl only for the notice the sinister gaze of her commanding officer. “You all are nothing but pawns that do the bidding of our beloved princess. Is that clear?” responded the shadowy figure as she leers at her with cold eyes which prompted the white haired girl to nod in agreement. Her vision then shift back to Gen-taicho who is still lying on the ground. “Definitely a pawn,” muttered the girl with tears in her eyes. “100%” remarked the girl softly as her head hung low and motionless, an indication that she is unconscious.
Even though Gen – taicho is barely conscious, the one thing on his mind is to ensure the safety of others as well as the capture of the black armored girl. His orders were relayed to the rest as his body is in the process of healing thanks to the aid of the Second Division Lieutenant. However, before such an order could executed, a white flash whizzed by the other members of the division, disorientating them in the process as the white clad figure is then seen standing in front of the unconscious black armored girl. Upon closer inspection, the figure appears to be the same person that Anji – taicho is currently fighting. This brings the question: How is this possible that she’s here as well? Without much as uttering a word, the white armored girl reached out and easily removed the spear that wedged itself into the black armored girl’s leg. “If you don’t mind kind sirs, I’ll be taking this girl with me. Wouldn’t want you to do anything naughty to her now do we?” remarked the girl with a sweet smile as she place the girl on her shoulder. With a slight crouch, she made a leap upwards until she is standing on top of the building behind her. “If fate is kind, we’ll meet again. See ya,” called back the girl as she flash steps away until she is no longer in sight.
Meanwhile, another battle has taken its toll on the remnants of a once tall majestic building of the soul Society as the destruction caused by the clash of two individuals escalates. High above the onslaught of blue armor clad knights crossing swords with members of the 11th Division, two individuals face each with great intensity as the clash of wits and skill between the Second Division Captain, Ryuu the Tenken and the supposed feminine leader of the blue knights created a whirlwind of destruction in their wake. Though a veteran Captain of the Second Division, the initial battle proved to be a difficult one as his female opponent prefers the use of strategy and counter measures to every attack he could muster plus her mastery of the crossbow, she makes for a worthy adversary. Ryuu – taicho is no pushover when it comes to furious rapid attacks and quick succession of speedy maneuvers but that alone still prove to be ineffective against well placed sneak attacks as evidenced by the wound on his side as blood trickles down his side, staining his haori in the process. Flustered by the disgrace of staining his haori with his own blood, Ryuu-taicho is seen removing his haori and allowing the wind to carry it away as he tends to his wound by wrapping another article of clothing around it.
The black haired girl’s gaze never left the Captain as her ponytailed hair swayed with wind current caused by the ball of compressed air that Ryuu-taicho threw at her earlier. Her response to the dilemma at hand was to manipulate the needles that she fired at Ryuu-taicho earlier to dig into the ground and travel through it like underground torpedoes until they launch themselves out of the ground and explode inches from his body in anticipation that he would block the attack. Using the distraction to her advantage, the girl chanted a mysterious phrase that is different with that used for kido to conjure a wall of armor using the remains of the fallen blue knights lay strewn below her. The wall acts as a barricade strong enough to withstand the powerful blow of the ball of air as evidence by the impact delivered by the ball of air that rocks the wall of armor furiously but unable to reach the girl as intended by the Second Division Captain. Once save from the ball of air, the girl proceeded to fire a powerful blast of reaitsu at the Second Division Captain. The plan was quite well thought out that it might appear that the girl might win this battle; however that proved to be impossible as demonstrated by Ryuu-taicho’s true potential as he unleashed a powerful burst of energy that created a powerful whirlwind barrier that dissipate the shock of the explosion.
The burst of wind from his energy release caused the girl to slide back slightly proving that the force is something not to be trifled with as the word “Shunko” raced through her mind. Sadly, that was the least of her concern as she also witnesses the collapse of the wall of armor as the ball of air finishes it advance and dissipate in the process destroying her initial plan of hiding behind it if the need arises. If that is not bad enough, the Second Division Captain is now seen draped with an aura of bright white light that greatly enhances his speed as evidenced by the arrow she fired earlier which proceeded to hit his after image as he disappears from sight while his laughter echoes around the battlefield. His movements are hard to follow as he flash steps all over the place; however that ended when a lonely hell butterfly floated gently in front of him as it relays its message to the Second Division Captain. Using this opportunity, the girl proceeded to chant once again but with voice soft enough that it would be difficult for Ryuu-taicho to hear. After Ryuu-taicho finish relaying his message, the girl met his gaze with her own as he spoke in her bid to conceal the fact that she’s up to something.
When the words, “You will have to pay for this wound that has been inflicted in my side," left his lips, a thought crossed her mind as she formulates a plan to counteract the different possibilities his attack would have taken place. As planned, the girl stood still, her lips still moving slightly as her chanting never cease as she witness a barrage of wind attacks from all directions, sealing her escape. However, before the girl could make her next move, the Second Division Captain appears in front of her with aid from his shunko and poised himself to strike her mid section with his enhanced fist. A smirk suddenly formed on the girl’s lips as though she had anticipated his move all along. “Knight Manipulation 23, Reinforced Shell!” announced the girl as a flash of envelopes her whole body as Ryuu-taicho’s fist neared her mid section. A loud clang could be heard ringing around the battlefield as the wind attack hit their mark at the same time. A victory to the Second Division Captain if not for the fact that all his fist ever hit was reinforced steel as the sight of the girl draped in huge armor is all he would ever see. It appears that the girl had reinforced her own armor using the armor remains of the wall once used to block Ryuu-taicho’s ball of air attack. However, though strong in stature, the armor immediately reveals signs of cracks all around it as response to being attacked as some parts of the armor proceeded to crumble to pieces as shards of it rain toward the ground.
The girl remained unmoving a Ryuu-taicho’s fist is etched in her mid section as the reinforce armor cover it began to crack as well. Suddenly, a delayed force erupted from her mid section which caused the girl to be pushed back by the force which ultimately left her sailing in the air until she is over the edge of building, her body falling off it in the process. However, as the girl sails in the air, her lips appear to be moving as though she has something to say. Upon closer inspection, the words turned out to be a chant as she points her hand at Ryuu-taicho. “Knight Manipulation 45, Chrome Death,” muttered the girl as the shards of armor left behind from the impact began to circle the Second Division Captain. Suddenly, without warning, they glow a bright red till the intensity causes them to explode furiously around Ryuu – taicho. “That’s what pain is, shinigami taicho,” remarked the girl softly with a smile etched on her face as she plummets down towards the ground below.
It would have been the end of her had it not been for arrival of the white clad knight as she lunges forward and caught the descending blue clad armor girl in her arms. The white female knight then proceeded to make off with the girl as she dashes out of the town square. The situation would have caused a magnitude of confusion as the white armor girl is supposedly engaged in battle with the Tenth Division Captain, Anji Davion.
The East Rukongai district was the victim of a surprised assault as evidenced by the burnt buildings and the cries of roukai running around panic as they were mercilessly hunted down by mysterious black and blue armor clad knights that proceeded to continuously pour into the district like ants. The clanking of their suit of armors rang throughout the district as they charge all around the district. Fortunately, the casualties were minimized thanks to the arrival of the Eleventh Division, Second Division and the Fourth Division members as they provide aid in the form evacuating the roukai, healing the injured and aiding the Captains in warding off incoming attacks from the knights. With aid gracefully provided, the Tenth Division Captain, Anji Davion can rest easy knowing that they have his back when he needed it. However, that doesn’t change the fact the Tenth Division Captain is still going to destroy every single knight that crosses his path.
The Tenth Division Captain had been dominating up till now as demonstrated by his immense strength as he crush a handful of knights in one fell swoop. The anger he had welled up inside him had strangely calmed down as though the area around seemed to have experienced a moment of peace as the sounds of battle began to fade leaving behind an eerie silence that no one could explain. Anji – taichou’s calmness towards the matter at hand seemed to be out of place as a feminine figure stood behind him without any hint of her being there in the first place which is a strange phenomenon as the Tenth Division Captain is usually sharp and alert and would have noticed her presence. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case as the girl draped in white armor remained silent as she unsheathes a spear from the gigantic gauntlet equipped to her hand. Without any hint of a killing intent, the girl lunge her spear at Anji – taicho in her bid to drive it through his mid torso.
In a quick response, the Tenth Division Captain side stepped the incoming attack and held up his hand which in turn allow energy to build up around it in a display reaitsu manipulation to the point where the force exerted was powerful enough to knock the female knight off her feet until she is sailing through the air. The white female knight then crashed landed into some rubble a few feet away from Anji – taicho. Not giving her much room to react, the Tenth Division Captain fired a volley of arrows at her which proceeded to pierce her as she lay motionless on the ground. Suddenly, as though by magic, her body began to slowly fade until nothing was left except for the spear she held earlier and the volley of arrows. It is then that Anji – taicho could feel a calm presence behind him once again as the same girl appears in view, her gauntlet still equipped to her hand but appears to have multiple empty slots where various weapons had been. “Dealing with you is not the matter. I’m just here to accompany you,” responded the girl with a sweet voice as she unsheathes a sword from her gauntlet. “You are smart. So, here’s your prize,” remarked the girl as she slashes at his back with the sword in hand.
