Uulyn Tiramai
Uulyn crashed through the ceiling of the Palace, landing at the balcony once more and cratering the marble where he landed. King walked out of the doorway as if nothing had happened. The recruit struggled to sit up, but managed to lean against the rail. "I will protect all of those I can with my life. Nothing you can do could change that."
King walked briskly over to the soul reaper and lifted him by his collar. Uulyn's feet dangled above the ground... "You really think it is worth it to get yourselves killed to let weaklings live!?" He said with a sneer, then turned and hurled Tiramai over his shoulder and straight into a column that stood next to the doorway. He didn't break through it, but he did seem to knock out a large chunk. King started to walk towards the shinigami again. "Its Survival of the Fittest, Tiramai. If those weaklings couldn't protect themselves, then they don't deserve to live."
He struggled to a sitting position once more. "I...I can't..." He muttered. He wasn't sure what to think...It was all so overwhelming. He was being beat around inside his own mind, and he could do nothing about it while this maniac kept speaking.
"Quiet!" he interrupted, kicking Uulyn across the floor and into the bed that the stony Baron laid in. King still walked towards his vessel. He stopped right next to him, looking down on him as though he were nothing. "You are a weakling, just as they are. You waste your energy trying to gain these feelings of satisfaction by 'saving' someone, when really you are dishonoring them by making them appear weak in battle. Its pathetic, for the both of you. If you let them die, not only do they die honorably, but they would be replaced by a stronger comrade, and that one by an even stronger one. Live for the fight and fight for your life, not live for your friends and fight for their lives. As before, if they can't live on their own, then they aren't even worth the air they breathe."
Uulyn was at his whit's end by now. He didn't know what to think. This wasn't the relaxing trip he had hoped for... He didn't even know what to say...
King sighed, grabbing the Soul Reaper by the collar once more, but dragging him along the floor instead of lifting him. He drug him out to the balcony, right next to the railing. "Until you learn this lesson, you can not use the power I'm offering you."
With that statement, he lifted the limp shinigami, and held him over the railing and the almost bottomless fall. He just stared at Uulyn for a long while with a expression of disgust, then simply let go of him. The shinigami fell from him quickly, but the King got in a few final words. "Protect yourself, Tiramai, and no other. There are great trials ahead."
Uulyn Tiramai fell through the clouds, watching the derelict Palace as it grew smaller, and smaller. Right when it was the size of a quarter, it disappeared as he fell through the layer of clouds. He turned himself around in mid-air, no longer feeling the rush he got from the wind. He saw the Soul Society, unsure if it was even worth staying at. If what King said was true, then all the people he thought of as comrades were... weak, and not worth his energy. His thoughts and feelings were in turmoil now as he fought himself for a resolution to this mental dilemma. He wasn't looking, but he landed in his body once again.

Uulyn opened his eyes. He was still sitting in bed, though it had been an hour or more. He stood up, stretching the stiffness from his muscles. He sat back down, unsure of what to do next.
