Ruby covered her eyes and shook her head with disbelief. "Daddy! No, what happened to you!?" She yelled with a sniffle. The monster roared and bared its claws at the woman before him. When Darrick arrived at the sight, he stopped instantly and aimed at the monster. "What the hell is this thing?" He asked firing a few rounds, nothing happened. It took it in strive, they had to get Ruby out of there. He helped Ruby to her feet, but she didn't stop covering her eyes. Darrick then noticed the monster was approaching. "This hallway is to small to fight this thing in, we have to get out of here." He said, Ruby didn't budge. So Darrick sighed and hoisted her over his shoulder. Starting to run like that.

Ruby continued to cry even over Darrick's broad shoulders. "I want my Mommy!" She said wanting the nightmare to just end already. Darrick glanced back, the monster was gaining on them. Darrick gritted his teeth and pushed on, busting the next door open into the main hall once again. He watched the door setting Ruby down, who wouldn't let go of Darrick's leg after. He sighed, "Could someone please get Ruby off my leg so I can come up with a blockade for that beast?"

Ruby took a deep breath, and tried not to worry. As Darrick took a nail gun and some boards. Boarding off the door, it would hold it off for like a second. But it would be enough of a second to get them out of here. Darrick sighed and looked over at the others, Ruby was still recovering from being upset. Got herself all worked up to the point of gasping air every now and again. Darrick rushed over to the front desk and started for the phone, there was no signal in or out. He growled, and slammed his fist on the desk. Before spotting something, a balloon tied to the desk. He sighed waking over and cutting the knot from the string and walking it over to Ruby. Kids liked balloons? Right? He handed it to Ruby, "Take this, it might make you feel better." He said generally trying his over all best to fix the problem quick. Ruby took it and giggled at Darrick's attempts to be a kid person, he wasn't to good at it. Darrick then fashioned a small loose tie around her wrist so she wouldn't lose it. With a smile she looked up to Darrick and said, "Thank you Mr Police man." She said, Darrick nodded and glanced over at the next door. It lead to another police office, and if he remembered correctly. The hellipad was somewhere close to that.

Jackson had just finished some reports and was getting ready to end his shift. Him and his team walked into the locker room joking around and laughing about the night's events as they started to remove their gear. At that moment, Jackson's commander walked in the locker room and announced, "You might as well keep it on, gentlemen." The commander said, "Meet me in the squad room." Jackson and his teammates looked at each other somewhat baffled as they sighed then took what gear they had off with them into the squad room.

Upon entering the squad room, there was a SWAT officer standing next to the commander breathing heavily. His vest was torn and he had gashes up his arms which were exposed by the tattered sleeves on his shirt. He was emotionless in a trance. Jackson's commander began briefing him and his team. A squad of SWAT members were deployed to handle a riot situation in an area of the city. It turned out violent citizens were the least of their worries. These individuals were insanely cruel and out for blood. So much, Even the RPD SWAT Team was overrun. The injured SWAT officer mentioned something about a member of another squad by the name of Derrick Smith was in the RPD police station and was in a worst situation. Jackson's commander made mention that the RPD SWAT Team resources had been depleted and their next line of defense at the moment was Jackson and his team. Even though they were specially trained and primarily used for riot control and handling high risk situations in the jail, they also cross trained a lot with SWAT and were used in high profile situations outside the jail when needed. After briefing, Jackson and his team geared up and he comforted the fellow officer assuring him that his comrade, Derrick would be sought out and taken care of.

Jackson and his team ran to the vehicle sally port where the riot control tank was secured. They did not know who or ...WHAT was out there, Their best bet was to drive a solid piece of steel with massive ammunition. He carried his faithful M16 A.R. strapped across his shoulder and they fell into the tank. They rolled out as the steel paneled doors rolled up and the halogen lights lit the path ahead. Jackson assigned his right hand man to drive the tank as they made their way to the RPD.

After thirty minutes of driving, they arrived. the roaring engine of the tank echoed down the streets as the halogen lights faced the RPD building. They revealed the building had been overrun, broken windows, chunks of brick and concrete obliterated. Jackson gave the orders for his team to stand down and keep a watch on the outside while he moved in. They acknowledged without hesitation. Jackson made his way out of the tank with his M16 drawn and he aimed down the sights scanning the area as he strafed toward the door. The red dot sight led a red laser wherever he was aiming. When he arrived at the front door, he tried to push it open but it was blocked. Jackson took a step back then planted his boot into the door kicking it open. the desks were broken, paper strewn everywhere and he continued scanning the area with his rifle as he moved through the rooms. "Anyone here?" He called out.

Darrick heard the door open and someone speak into the corridor. He glanced at Ruby for a second and then to Teto, before drawing his gun and starting for the voice. He aimed ahead before seeing the person wasn't bitten, or anything else. He lowered his gun and slowly stepped toward the man, "Heh, guess were not the only ones left alive in this hell hole. Names Darrick Smith, RPD SWAT. Or at least, was RPD SWAT." He stated trying to force some at ease. Before Ruby came running from around toe corner, and pulled on Darrick's pant leg. She was still scared, "I wanted to ask you something Mr Powlice man...... You're not gonna leave me are you?" She asked quivering her lip. Darrick bit his lip and patted the little red head on her head. "No, I don't plan on it Ruby... Your getting out of this, didn't I tell you to stay put?" Ruby blinked, "But you has a gun.... I feel a little safew with you." Darrick shook his head and held out his hand for a hand shake. "Don't mind Ruby, shes a little shaken up. You would be?"

Wolf thought for a moment, "I'm sure management is already on it, we need to focus on our own survival... And if that means helping some members of the RPD. Then so be it." She said firing at a gas tank of a car, it let off a explosion taking out four of them that were in their way. "Besides, its always a nice challenge to try against the odds."

When Jackson heard the voice, he immediately turned with his gun with the red dot over in the area of the voice. When he saw the man and little girl emerge from the shadows, he sighed in relief as he lowered his gun to his side. He nodded in acknowledgement to his introduction. He then looked down as the little girl spoke. He lowered his black mask from his face and gave her a gentle smile then looked around at the overrun office area then looked back at Darrick and Ruby. he held his hand out to him grasping his in a firm hand shake. "Good to meet you. Jackson Miles, RC Prison SORT. I was deployed here to find you actually." He said then knelt down in front of Ruby smiling friendly at her. "I'm Jackson. Mr. Darrick and I are going to take good care of you I promise, okay?" He said with a gentle reassuring smile.
