Gaia, why do you hate pink hair? Go to post 80 Site Feedback Fri Nov 27, 2009 9:29 pm
Definitely a nice set of colours X3

I really hope they expand the hair palette sometime - I prefer several of the old colours to the new palette ^^; That's why I've kept this hairstyle despite it being so old. I like it because the colour doesn't look washed out X3

I don't like the idea of being killed by a toilet-dwelling red backed spider. Or an adder that doesn't flee when it hears humans. Or a taipan, a box jellyfish, a fierce snake, a funnel spider, a shark, a crocodile, a caiman. . .

You see where I'm going with this.

Oh don't worry, I had those exact fears coming here - but I'm down in Melbourne, where it's "not so hot" X3 Haven't seen anything bar 2 red back spiders and they were killed pretty quick << And I go out fishing on the ocean too biggrin

New Zealand is certainly a step up in the basically nothing an kill you, but comparing food prices, house prices, gas prices etc, it's pretty nuts (and then there's the government...) x_x

On topic, I showed me hubby the kiwi and he thought of that joke too XD

@ my_eyes_bleed: Melbourne is full of all kinds of people - my hubby has maybe 1 "true" Aussie where he works and that's it razz

@ Cabbage The Centaur: There are plenty of stations to work on in NZ - my uncle was a sheep farmer until recently X3

As a New Zealander, I should be mildly insulted.
but I freaking love the item xD
I don't see how you can be.
You come from the most beautiful, bountiful and wonderful country on the planet. How can anything anyone says about NZ actually upset you, knowing that?

Try living here.

I agree, it's why my parents moved to Australia XD

Because Kiwifruit are actually Chinese gooseberries.
They just happen to grow well here.

-is a kiwi too-

I've always found it odd that not many people know that name for them o_o

I am a kiwi ;-;

It's very cute (although yours is much more true to form), hopefully as time goes on it'll become slightly more common XD Maybe then I can get it <<

I love anonymous gifting - it allows me to write silly little rhymes and give things to people and they have no idea who I am X3

I'm a lot more reserved online than I am offline, maybe it's the "permanent" aspect of writing something down that does it, that and I find it hard to express myself properly in writing XD

Gaia creates items that simulate fellatio and drunkenness, but removes tobacco items. Huh. Funny.

Yeah that's one thing that confuses me about this particular ban and makes me wonder what's truly behind it - it's just...quite an odd thing to pick out when there are arguably "much worse" on the site ^^;

I dunno whether you could class me as "pro-ban" or not. I''m not unhappy they're gone, because I simply don't like cigarettes -shrugs- Whether that is or is not a valid reason depends on whom you ask. I can certainly understand why people are saying it's quashing their freedom of expression etc, but in the end, that doesn't mean I have to agree with them.

When it all comes down to it, Gaia's going to do what they feel is necessary, sometimes it'll be advertising pushing the "necessary" aspect (I remember hearing once that we couldn't have naked avatars because of advertising, but that could easily be a rumour), sometimes it may be what's deemed "morally" acceptable for the day.

If they up and decided to change / remove my favourite item on the site, I'd probably be disappointed, but meh, what am I really going to do about it? Complain? They can still deny it in the end - it says so in the ToS. I mean, the censorship card - the whole ToS is a "censorship card / wavering of rights" XD Perhaps I'm just at the point where I don't care anymore, I come here, play games, post a little and that's about it <<
Thank you, Gaia! Adults need the reminder, too. <3 Go to post 268 Site Feedback Sat Nov 21, 2009 7:01 am
It's amusing to see the amount of flaming going on today around Gaia, especially on those who do approve of their removal, or even remotely hint at it. Guess it reminds me of why I stopped coming here so often XD

Anyway, I'm personally not unhappy to see them go, but it does seem rather...odd to be removing items after the number of years they've been out o_o Why bother even releasing them in the first place? ^^; Considering the backlash seen over the last several years for anything Gaia does, there must have been something -extremely- compelling for Gaia to remove these items. I don't believe it's just that they've grown a conscience in regard to this matter and it would have been nice to hear the truth instead of some marketing garb.
