Mesu Corre

Mesu heard the wolfs again and instinctively stopped.
"Are there more?" He asked himself outloud, then spotted the girl from before farther ahead.
Two wolves were fighting eachother the same as the three before, until a little boy he hadn't noticed before opened his backpack.
A teddy bear came out with blinding speed and quickly decapitated the wolf that still stood.
Mesu stood there in shock.
"What just happened?" He asked outloud to them when a man walked out of the forest with wings on his back.
"This is a virtual world thats right..." He said, "I can't believe I forget that."
He began to debate if he should go over to them or if he should walk away...

"Are you going to kill me?" Mesu asked uncertain.
"I was... but when you surprised the data... I have no choice to let you live." the wolf said.
"So...I could leave?" Mesu asked.
The wolf shook its massive head, "Technically you can't leave at all. Your mind is in this world and you will leave when you are no longer needed."
Mesu gritted his teeth and stood up.
"Go back to the other players." The wolf said, "Before the system reacts to your ability."
"So wait? What?" Mesu stammered.
The wolf sighed, "That thing you did, before. There was no indication of an outburst like that in the data that was compiled in the real world. The system is at a standstill. Leave before the network reacts to it."
Mesu stepped out of the water never taking his eyes off the wolf.
"That way." The wolf nudged his head behind him.
Mesu began running down the path the wolf gestured and never turned back as the animal began drinking from the water once more.

The wolf had picked Mesu back up when he realized the vampires were not leaving and had again dragged him back through the woods too a spring at the base of a small waterfall.
The wolf threw the frightened boy into the water then began drinking from it.
Mesu broke the surface of the water and sputtered out, "What the hell? What was you said before? Vampires? They aren't real at all!"
The wolf ignored the boy's ranting and continued drinking.
"Where is that girl from before? Why did you take me? What is..." Mesu yelled.
"Quiet!" The wolf barked, "Your questions are bothering and don't need answers."
"I don't need... what? Of course I do! I didn't sign up for this to be dragged through a forest by a wolf! Where is the professor?"
"Professor?" The wolf asked then his confusion turned to amusement, "I see now. You are from the real world. You were put in this world as well as others of your species and others to be apart of an experiment..."
"Experiment?" Mesu asked confused, "I only remember walking into the lab and they I woke up here."
The wolf smirked, "Do you know why I tried to kill you?" Mesu didn't reply. "I was programed to kill you and the others to see if your brain waves would fade in life or death situations."

The wolf had dragged him quite a ways before Mesu began waking up in front of a cave that seemed to be littered with chewed bones and rank smells.
The silver back wolf dropped him at the front and said, "Vampires..." he growled at the cave making sure it echoed.
"What did you do before human?" The wolf asked.
Mesu had barely heard him, his mind was wrapped around the deathly cave. The wolf was not pleased.
It bit at him and yelled, "Wake up! What gave you power?"
"I...I... don't know..." Mesu wheezed.

You're mind tricks won't work on me. I am bound to kill." The wolf said to the girl. Mesu began to shake more violently now and couldn't see straight.
'what's happening?' He asked himself.
"The boy will be my prize for this fight." The wolf said as Mesu fell forward, "I will come back for you girl. Watch your back."
the wolf sprinted forward and grabbed mesu in his mighty jaws. Even with two holes in his chest he was able to lift Mesu and jump over the river and dash out of view.

Without breaking stride, when the wolf jumped back Mesu had dropped his dagger, drew an arrow, and sent one flying at the wolf.
The wolf landed softly and watched the boy's actions. He seemed to smile.
The arrow passed through the wolf right through his side and crashed into a tree. The wolf snarled at the pain but still stood tall.
"Is that it?" The wolf taunted, "You can't kill me."
At that point Mesu could feel his body slip away. What ever gave him that extra dose of courage was gone and the wolf was more pissed.

Mesu almost screamed as the bug began crawling up his legs and quickly swatted at it sending it into the river.
He slumped back and began breathing heavily.
"You are pathetic." The wolf said appearing next to Mesu, "I almost don't want to kill an unworthy prey."
Mesu shot up and came face to face with the wolf.
"I'm not prey." Mesu said with a change in his voice.
"Acting tough will get you nowhere." The wolf said and opened its mouth to say something else but mesu had drawn his knife and now had it digging into the wolf's chest the blood already staining the fur.
"Who's acting?" Mesu asked smiling.
The wolf jumped back away from the boy with the hole in its chest.

The wolf laughed again.
"Even if your amusing threats had any power over me I still could not leave. I am now bound to avenge my children for their untimely deaths."
Mesu took the moment of the conversation to move out of the water and off to the side incase this became a battle.
"Where are you going boy?" The wolf snapped at Mesu. Mesu couldn't speak... there was a beetle crawling on his leg and that was all he was focused on.

The wolf seemed to smile.
"So you are the one murdering my children." He said, "I don't believe you can hurt me, if all you have is mind control." He made a laugh and then added, "It seems I have food for myself and my other children at no guilt to me."
Mesu was wide-eyed watching the girl stand up to the wolf as the sounds of the three children finally started to die down. Literally.
