For a second I thought you meant the spetum in the heart. I was like... it doesn't. I don't know... it looks like it would hurt a hell of a lot. They do it... with great difficulty?
What about necrosis? I found this picture biggrin |

Japhonda. I don't care what gender it is.
I think Epitaph is a cool name. |

Soylent Cola Blissi I twitched at hearing "lolita is cosplay". No, it's not. People wear normal clothing at cons, that doesn't make it cosplay. I get it. But I wouldn't exactly call lolita "normal clothing" either, you know? Well it's not American, but in Japan it's quite commonplace. |

Eau de Mistrolat Arrancar Loly That's true. It would be nice to see more people wearing it in the streets though. (In my opinion) Yeah... I just don't like referring to it as cosplay. I'm sorry. Though, a lot of outfits you can buy at lolita stands at cons are actually really good quality as opposed to the costumes that just... aren't. Yep~ I have and received many compliments. Some smirks, of course but those are easy to ignore. Blissi I twitched at hearing "lolita is cosplay". No, it's not. People wear normal clothing at cons, that doesn't make it cosplay. My point exactly. |

Soylent Cola Arrancar Loly AliceXWonders id buy one. ¬¬ xD lol a lolita one!! Lolita is not actually cosplay though... Technically, no. But lots of people only feel comfortable wearing lolita to a con, which is perfectly reasonable, so... I think that's still on point..? That's true. Soylent Cola I make mine. It's cheaper, looks nicer, and fits better. I've been sewing since forever, too, so it's super easy. And it's nice to have a mom who understands and supports my weird need to play dress up in public. She's equally insane, though... One year she went to a Halloween party at her work dressed as a Christmas tree. With real working lights and everything! So if I ever need help with anything, I can ask her, and she won't even judge me too hard for it. :'D My mom does too! She's cosplayed before too. |

Yeah, making it is always better because you tailor it to fit you exactly and 99 times to 1, it's way more accurate than a bought costume could ever be. Especially when there's layers involved. -Cough- AlltheshihakushousfromBleach. -Cough- But I'll be honest, I wasn't confident in my sewing skills and bought one before making one. The one thing that is usually better when you buy it, is a prop. Like a staff. I find that most of them are better when they're bought than when they're handmade by the cosplayers. Or maybe that's just me...
All in all, if you can buy one that fits well and is accurate and can't sew, I say go for it. I just like to get as accurate as possible. I even want to cosplay as sailor venus sometime with a metal tiara. I think it'll be hard core. XD It's been done, I'm sure, but most of the tiaras I see are fabric. @The poll: Is your fabric really only $30? The fabric I get is a lot more. Under $100 but more around $60 for a complete outfit. |
