It's a yes and no answer. I wouldn't say my characters control my life per se - that's writing and reading in general. More, my characters are heavily a part of my life. What time is not spent on work, it's on my characters and stories, fic and nonfic. I think of them frequently, but no, I'm still in control of my own life.
All the same, oftentimes inspiration comes at the most inceonvenient moments which makes me drop whatever I'm doing to jot down the idea - either tuning out in class or crawling out of bed just as I'm getting to sleep. But those strokes of genius are a thrill, even if they're leading me by the nose, so I put up with it.

ChihayatheBlackAngel Jiang Lan Better yet, if you could choose a VA to play Louie who would it be? I think Kirby Morrow might be close. Oh god no. I'd be thinking Miroku any time he spoke.... I think Cris Patton would be better or Braden Hunt. I think it'd be funny to hear Illich Guardiola as Louie though. like in a parody. *de-lurks* Chris Patton could work... I'd just be seeing Fakir in my inner mind theater at all times. Braden Hunt, erm, no, I would always be thinking of a very effeminate man with long silky hair and a pet pig. Does not compute with Louie. Illich, as a parody, yes. But every time he spoke I would be thinking of Hayate. Although, Illich doesn't like doing dark, romancy roles; he prefers characters like Gojyo. :S |

I now have the urge to change some of my characters who are nymphs. 3nodding So are Dryads just tree nymphs? Or does it expand to include nymphs that originate from other elements? Undines for water, Salamaders for fire, Satyrs/Fauns for the rocks, Sylphs for wind... Nereids: oceans, rivers, etc. Oreids: caves and grottos. Dryads: treesm they cannot live if their tree is killed. |

Jiang Lan I assume you already know this but i'll share anyways. Twilight is being made into a big screen movie. I'm interested to see where it goes but i'm already not happy with the uber model-ish looking actors they are thinking about. When you have a movie cast with barbie's it makes everything seem fake. Like interview with a vampire. I liked brad in his role but i thought they went for star power over actors who would have been suited to the roles. I dont think Tom should have been there at all -___- he's so not vampire sexy. His acting style was almost mocking the script...no flavor. Either way, I'll still go with my friend to see it when it comes out. This can go two ways: I'll thoroughly enjoy it since this will be a first for a non-butchered version of a book/series I like OR I'll be constantly pointing out stuff they changed, left out, etc and basically be the critic from hell. |
