Skye's grin widened a little. "Impressive," he commented. "My abilities can only go so far compared to yours... so it seems." Skye's brows rose. Closing his eyes, he ran a hand through his silver bangs, slicking his hair back so his eyes were completely exposed. The sapphire seemed to shimmer more brilliantly with a charming gleam of mischief.
"Is that so? It's just that I haven't been complimented much," he explained, lowering his hands. His bangs fell back over his forehead, only more messier than before. He tilted his head aside slightly. "Huh... and I thought you'd already had some romantic experience on some sort of level in the past..." he mused. His lip curled into a sly grin, while he held up a coin between the two of them.
"We'll leave it to luck," he told her, flipping the coin. It spun wildly in the air. "Call it."

Skye cocked a brow, his expression challenging. "Oh?" he stated sharply in his mind. "... then... when's my birthday?" He laughed softly, his eyes disappearing when he smiled. He paused, his brows rising with her next statement. He smile slowly faded, replaced with a shallow frown, slightly narrowed eyes, and troubled brows.
"Would you like me to look like this, then?" he muttered drearily in his thoughts. His expression lowered even more when she mentioned love again. It was a reflex for him to react that way when the topic was presented to him.
Crossing his arms, he forced his smile to return. "I'm glad you understand," he said sincerely in his thoughts. He didn't move when she made a move towards him again. His eyes stayed locked onto her, still challenging her. "It's simply a possibility," he stated. He cocked a brow, his sly grin returning again. "How much do you believe in luck?"

Cloud flinched behind his closed eyelids. Daring to take a look, he slowly opened one eye cautiously, opening the other when his expression was still its cool emotionless. He tilted his head a little, his look still wary. He nodded at his question.
"Yeah..." he mumbled, "I'm positive that it would've happened if she hadn't interrupted." Even though Hiro seemed alright with the idea, he still couldn't help but shake the feeling he felt at the pit of his stomach. He only met Mimi literally hours ago, and they already took it that far. He frowned.
Skye listened to the other two intently, reading his brother's expression flawlessly. It was obvious that he was upset - probably with himself - about the situation between him and Mimi. From what he understood, Cloud and Mimi were infatuated with each other, almost locked lips, but were interrupted by Sammy, who was probably Mimi's roommate, considering that nobody else probably had access into the room. Cloud probably felt that if things carried on, he would've done something too Mimi that he would regret so much more later on.
He knew he was assuming most of what he was thinking, but Jackie was probably right. He felt a connection to his brother, as if he could understand him much more easily than other people. "Cloud," he spoke softly, turning to look at him. "I know we still need to get along with each other, but... I have a feeling that you wouldn't have gone that far with her." He scratched the back of his neck.
"I-I mean... you know... that far... considering that she's already hurt so badly... you wouldn't have done that kind of thing to her, so..." He smiled reassuringly. "... ease up a little. Even Hiroshi said to not worry."
But I ain't gonna cry ♫♪

Skye looked at Jackie warily. After a moment, he smiled softly. "I guess... we both need to catch up with each other, huh...?" he commented softly, turning to get into Hiro's car. "Drive safely, Jackie," he mumbled, before stepping inside.
Cloud looked over at his brother, grinning softly when he sat beside him. Feeling slightly awkward when he realized that he was still shirtless, he flustered a little. "Eheh... sorry," he mumbled, referring to his lack of clothing. Skye understood immediately what he meant.
"It's alright," he said softly, taking off his jacket and scarf. He offered it to his brother, smiling weakly. "... we're brothers, so I should get used to it quickly." Skye looked up at Hiro, scratching the back of his head. "It's a pleasure," he murmured, "and it's alright. I can understand how urgent this must be." He gave Cloud a curious look when Hiro asked about "her" behaviour.
Cloud stiffened at his question. Should he tell the truth...? Sighing softly, his guilt won over him. It wouldn't help much if he lied. "We... we almost... kissed," he breathed, closing his eyes tightly. He didn't even want to see the death glare Hiro would send his way from the rear-view mirror. "I-It was me... I made the move, but we didn't actually do it, because Sammy walked in... I feel terrible about it... I don't know what came over me..." he murmured honestly. "Don't get mad at Mimi... it was all me."
Skye's brows rose at his brother's explanation. So they weren't going out with each other...? They were probably just crushing on each other, just like how him and her used to be. He grimaced a little at the thought, before he glanced at Hiro. Judging by the tension that seemed to be in the air, he assumed that Hiro and Mimi were probably siblings.

Cloud glanced over at Hiro curiously. He jumped when he suddenly grabbed him, a sense of panic coming over him before he realized that he was trying to help him. He glanced aside again. It felt weird to him that someone else was helping him; he was accustomed to being the one that helped someone else.
Setting that aside, he walked in silence with him, furrowing his brow at the fact that he was shorter and puny compared the the other. He didn't speak this, and instead, sat in the car in silence, feeling to make sure his nose wasn't crooked from his injury. He glanced up, noticing one of the looks Mimi gave him. He smiled weakly, waving slowly when Hiro closed the door behind him.
Meanwhile, Skye followed quietly, observing the looks that his supposed brother exchanged with Mimi. His expression lowered. Even he could tell that they were in love. He sighed softly, realizing that he felt a little envious that his brother had someone else for him.
He blinked when Mimi asked if anyone could drive. Shyly, he cleared his throat. "Err... I could..." he murmured. "If you'd trust me with your car, that is..."

Skye blinked when someone else mentioned his name. He turned his head to look at Mimi, before looking over at Cloud again. He frowned when he noticed the scar that ran across where the other teen's heart was. With an injury that bad, it made sense that he was shirtless. From the little thing that Mimi told him, Cloud seemed like a good person if he saved her from that kind of injury.
"... alright," he said softly, still looking over at his "brother" with concern. He jumped, looking over at Jackie when she pinched him. It surprised him how comforting her touch felt. His brows rose when he realized she heard his muttering, but he smiled weakly. "I guess you're right... it seems easier to read him than other people," he said, looking up at Cloud again. "... but that may be because his expressions are too easy to read."
Cloud grinned widely at what Jackie said about them having a bond. He heard of twin telepathy; it would be cool if they developed that kind of bond. He laughed softly at her joke, scratching the back of his head sheepishly. "I-I'll calm down..." he reassured her.

Skye's expression was shocked. It took him a moment to realize that Jackie had asked him something. He shook his head slowly. "I've... never met him before..." he mumbled, still looking at Cloud with a confused expression. He had his hair, his eyes... heck, they were even roughly the same height and skin tone. He blinked hard. He was dreaming. He was still in the nurse's office, sleeping. This was all a crazy dream he was thinking up; he was sure of it.
Cloud, on the other hand, looked excited and happy, ignoring the fact that sharp pains shot at his back with every movement he made. His parents weren't lying; his brother really did transfer to his school. The very same brother he was separated from at birth. He flustered a little, realizing that Skye probably had no idea who he was. From what his parents told him, their own biological parents were still waiting until he was ready to learn about the truth.
"M-my name's Cloud. Cloud Sinclaire. We're... well, yeah, we're twins... but you're my older brother. Just by a few minutes though... but anyways, it's a long story, but we are brothers; it's just that your mom gave me away to my mom 'cause she couldn't have any kids - crazy, huh? I dunno if your parents have told you anything about me, but my parents have told me about you. Like... how you have the same eyes as me, or how you dyed your hair like mine - a coincidence, I know - but then they told me you were transferring here, and I was really excited because I could finally meet you..." Out of breath, he took a deep gulp of air, his expression relaxing a little.
"I know it sounds really strange to you... but I've been really excited to meet you. I've always wanted siblings... so I've always wondered how it would've been like if we weren't separated." His expression lit up again. "But now that you're living here, we can catch up with each other...!"
Skye blinked at his explanation. He had a twin brother? His mother gave him away...? It was hard for him to take in the fact that some stranger looked exactly like him, let alone the fact that the story he told seemed to come straight from a fairytale. Shaking his head a little, he squeezed his eyes shut, running his hand through his hair with a sigh.
"I must be dreaming..." he mumbled to himself, his brows furrowing slightly, "this is all just a really weird dream..."
But I ain't gonna cry ♫♪

Skye looked at her apologetically. He didn't mean for her to drop her things. He stooped down to help her, but paused when she got to her things before he did. He scratched the back of his head. "Sorry about that..." he mumbled. He smiled weakly at her question, and lowered his head slightly. "Skye," he answered, his tone friendly. He was still trying to get used to making friends. "Skye Lynic. It's a pleasure to meet you, Jackie. I'm new too, so... I hope we can get along as the new kids here."
Cloud flinched. He heard another voice outside, and he swore that the person said "sky". Feeling excitement suddenly overcome the guilt he felt, he jumped off of the bed, wincing a little while he squeezed past Hiro to burst into the hall. He looked to the right, flinching when emerald-blue eyes met sapphire-green. His mouth curved into an ecstatic grin. "Skye..."

Skye stepped out from the nurse's office, slinging his bag over his shoulder. He paused in front of the door, staring hard at the ground. He was mumbling things about Alice in his sleep again...? He thought he stopped months ago. He sighed. It would be embarrassing if his roommate woke up to him sobbing in his sleep.
Glancing up, he decided to stop by his dorm to drop off his luggage, which he had been lugging around with him for a while now. Trying to remember the map by heart, he went down a hall and up a length of stairs in silence, his expression showing that he was in deep thought. He kept staring at the ground as he opened a door, flinching when he bumped into Jackie.
"Ahh... sorry," he mumbled sheepishly, his greenish-blue eyes looking down at her with slight surprise. He looked up, blinking when he saw the names on the doors. Amelia? Samantha? He mentally facepalmed himself. He went to the girls' nurse with Morgaux, which was at the floor below the dorms. The boys' dorms were on the other side of the school.
He ran a hand through his silver bangs, his cheeks flustering at his mistake. "These are... the girl dorms, aren't they...?" he mumbled, looking for confirmation from Jackie.

Skye gave her a curious look. He felt a chill, something that he learned meant that someone had looked into his thoughts. He realized that it was probably Akane. he smiled weakly. He hadn't tried to invade her thoughts because he wanted to respect her privacy, but it couldn't hurt if he got a glimpse into her mind if she looked at his.
"You're trying to figure me out, huh?" he thought, moving his hand so she could see his innocent grin. He thought that it was amusing if they talked through their minds instead of with their voices.
He heard her thought about love, his expression lowering again. "... yeah. It's... a long story." He forced his smile to return when she commented on her second and failed attempt. "Third time might be the charm," he chimed slyly.
