She entered the poorly ventilated room. Her hand ran along the cool railing as she slowly stepped up to a higher level of the building. A woman sat behind a desk and her eyes raised to meet Ella's. Unfortunately, her eyes were else where. Her eyes scanned the room. The smell of books clouded her nose and her mind. Raising a hand to her head she attempted to stop the throbbing which had emerged. Her stomach jumped as she slowly scanned the room. Only a small number of people were around and few were paying attention to her anymore. She let her hand drop to her side and in the corner of her eye a boy could be seen.

Her head turned delicately. His gaze was one she had rarely received. The intensity it held was odd. She titled her head slightly as their eyes locked. His eyes were something she had only seen in a jewel. The green which reminded her of her first days as a vampire. When the world was reborn to her and she had the freedom to do whatever she wanted. She took a step closer to him as he looked back down to his books. She had decided she would examine him further until the smell she had found earlier became more clear. She walked behind a bookshelf. Removing a single book, she watched him. Through the rickety shelves there were clearing through which she had a view of him. He bit his lip, trying immensely to concentrate. A small smile played across her face.

She placed the book back in its place and took a step out of the darkness. The florescent lights above her head seemed to flicker with the utmost of care. She stepped out of the isle to get a better view of the boy. His hand retracted quickly back to him and he examined his finger. The smell came to her in a rush. So much so that she took a step backwards and a hand covered her mouth and nose. The smell consumed her mind. It was different then all the times before. his blood had drawn out her emotions which she had buried long ago. The animal inside of her she had sealed when it first forced her to kill a family member. Her breath quickened and she tried to stop herself from screaming.

Ella bit her thumb as hard as she could. She needed to do something before she couldn't stop herself. The boy would be easy to kill. She could simply kill him and everyone in the building. The only problem was that she needed him. He was the one she had been searching for for years. Now it could be over. She could just stop thinking. She could just smile without worrying. The idea calmed her a little. All she needed now was to control herself enough to be around the boy for a few days. She just needed to bring him to someplace with a stronger vampire.

Ella let her hand drop from her mouth and rest plainly by her side. She breathed more slowly now but her movements from that point were strange. Her body acted with much more clarity. It was like she had to think more now then she did only moments ago. She took a step towards him and dug into her pocket. She approached his desk and tried to compose herself. She focused only on her breathing. In. Out. In. Out. She removed the small band-aid from her pocket and stood next to him. She tried to smile happily to him but it was obvious to her that it was a forced one. Handing it to him delicately, she glanced into his eyes. The warm blood which coursed out of him was too much for her to be around much longer. "You should be more careful." She said quietly. "Wouldn't want anything unfortunate to happen to you."
