Currently re-reading White Night, by Jim Butcher. (It's book nine in the Dresden Files series.)

I'm just curious as to how many people on Gaia (or, on Gaia at the mo) are fans of the BBC4/BBC America show, Top Gear.
In case you don't know, and stumbled here by accident, Top Gear is a show hosted by Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and Richard Hammond, of the UK. They review car, mostly sports cars, or other such high end machines. Usually their reviews involve ridiculous challenges (such as driving across the spine of Africa in a car costing less than a thousand quid), and antics that are generally considered unsafe. It's hilarious. It's informative. It's Top Gear. Discuss? (If anyone DOES know this, and is a somewhat avid fan, DID YOU HEAR THAT THE STIG'S IDENTITY WAS LEAKED?! ... Ahem. Pardon me. I couldn't resist the CAPs lock.) |

Somewhere around $300, I'd say. I'm rather horrid when it comes to saving money.

Most people find me a tad pretentious. (I agree.)

It wasn't the minister, guys, it was the Chief Justice of the United States. It was also, in no way, Obama's fault. The CJ re-worded the swearing in speech, and Obama didn't know it was going to happen. That's why, when he faltered, he smiled at the CJ, and simply stopped speaking; because the words he was supposed to be saying were wrong.
It was most likely just a culmination of way too much stress, and the fact that there were about 51 blocks of people there, not to mention the millions of people around the world who were watching it on the telly/internet. |

![]() I'm well aware that people may scoff at this thread, but I just wanted to say that I finished my first novel last week! It came out at 239 pages, but that's before revisions. I have no idea if there is publication down the road for it, but signs point towards it happening. Wish me luck? Discuss: Written a novel? Writing (of course) Publication ![]() ![]() |
