Yeah, the character doesn't really... idk, he's hard to make into an actual person, since in the original story he doesn't even technically exist. xD
But since the OC loves cats... 8"D

Thank you though~ I do like the lighting. :O Even though neither of them get on well as pet/owner. xD

So yeah, I just got on my school break after being completely stressed out over exams, and I drew the first digital thing I've done in a while.
S'also my first time I've been on gaia for a few months. :U

My OC Elepon, as his modern persona, and his cat Promethius. In their original story Promethius is a spirit/ghost/god creature that possesses half of Elepon's body and mind, using and manipulating him to get around in the material world.
In this modern AU... he's Elepon's cat. 8D
I used a ref for the idea and for the cat, since I'm terrible at drawing animals. The anatomy fails, I realise. There's lots of things that are bugging me and that I should fix, but I'm too lazy to edit them. OTL
Sketched, linearted and coloured all in Flash 8 Pro. The burning and white glow were done in photoshop. Sorry for the big picture.

Anndddd here's a doodle of Jin from the badass anime Samurai Champloo, drawn on the back of my programming booklet haha. I'd finished the anime that night and was spazzing out over it, so I had to draw him.

Ahhhhhhhhhh I'm really sorry. D: I haven't been around on gaia much lately because I've been so loaded with work. Haven't had time to check things.

Awwww Zum I'm sorry I missed you. xD;;;; It's so great you're starting college. :O I started doing a bit of store work lately at a chinese takeaway, but it was a horrible, low paying job that had no organisation and the owners spoke barely any english. They don't like me, so I'm looking around for other better jobs atm. xD;;

Most of what I know about painting just comes from my photoshop colouring experience - I tend to use really strong colours when colouring, so I'm bringing that over into my trad stuff too. :3

Though I only have a pack of 18 fairly-cheap, light watercolours. I'm mixing a lot of my own colours to get what I want lol.

Hmmm. I'm not sure exactly, but a pretty long time. x: I started late last night and finished this night so, I suppose I was working on it on and off for quite a while. I have two others I'm going to paint soon, maybe I can be a bit faster with those, now that I know what I'm doing, haha.

So la week or something ago I decided that, goddamnit I was going to LEARN how to use watercolours. Since it's my favourite traditional medium, and I've been meaning to practice my painting skills for a while~ They're very rusty~


Anyway, so this is my.... I suppose third watercolour painting, but my second serious one. I haven't properly used watercolours in years, so I'm still practicing. Go easy on my techniques. x: I'm not much of a painter, I'm just taking my photoshop colouring knowledge and putting it into paint.

It's my oc, Elepon, in his modern persona. :3 He's a hobby photographer, which explains my camera (which I'm pretty proud of, seeing as it's like... my first time drawing one).

My scanner, although it's good for lineart, HATES my watercolours. This looks a lot better in real life. D: It's like photos that make you look fat - my scanner makes paintings look like s**t. It also picked up the texture of the watercolour paper. OTL;;;;;
