((Sorry, I've been busy with trying to get homework in =/ ))
As the Doctor tilted his head at Altair, taking in his words, he glanced around at the foggy deserted street around them. Three more people were nearby and were coming towards them? My, this was a popular spot it seemed. What troubled him however was the fact that the area of this rather large looking city was so empty. He could hear it even and could almost sense it. It was as quiet as a grave…
No, he wouldn’t think of it as a grave, for he could taste it on the air. There was death here and it tainted the air, tickling his tongue as he took a breath and sighed. Whatever was the cause of this death was obviously what caused this town to be such a ghost town. He was only glad to hear that whatever this thing was, it wasn’t close at hand. That was certainly a good thing, he reminded himself as he turned his attention back on the two coppers.
Gene leaned against Sam slightly before he pushed himself away, dusting off his camel colored jacket before he went back to scowling at the Doctor and his doppelganger companion of his DI before he turned and walking back to his Cortina, he reached into the glove compartment, removing several of his extra flask. That was it; a nice drink would sooth his jittery nerves as would a quick f**. Taking a swig from one of the flasks, the alcohol burning his throat in a pleasant way, he returned to Sam’s side as he stuck one of his cigarettes into his mouth and lit is. Yes…that was certainly helping; a little piece of normality was helping him think clearer. He just had to figure out how they got there and then they could return the same say…easy.
He was pulled away from any reasonable thoughts though when the two strange men were introduced and his DI made a comment. “Only if they’re from some sort of poofy fairy porno because I think they’re missing a bird or two if so….Thank you, Tyler, I’ll never be able to think of a police box in the same way again, thanks to that little thought you planted into me head.” Gene snarled softly as he puffed away at the tobacco stuffed roll of paper.
The Doctor had to admit that the thought was amusing as he grinned and snorted softly. “Yes, he does have some spunk. I like him…but no, the TARDIS isn’t a cheap prop, I certainly wouldn’t repeat that if I were you though, especially if you went inside of her. I’m quite sure she wouldn’t appreciate it…” He said before he squirmed and glanced at the Master. “Oh, I’m sure he does…I’ve been too afraid to go in and clean out his room since he left though…I’m not sure I could take whatever I found…” He whispered.
“We’ll be sure to stay away from your strange police box then…” Gene said as he eyed the said box. “I don’t think we’d all fit in it anyway…” He didn’t like how the Doctor looked amused.
“Oh…maybe. She’s quite special…” The Time Lord said mysteriously before he added. “Master, please behave. He isn’t going to strangle you…” He was stopped from adding more though by the arrival of the red-haired man. He had to repeat his mental thoughts: This was certainly a busy place!
Gene removed his cigarette from between his lips as he took another swig from the flask. “Jack Reynard…Gene Hunt, and what do you mean by ‘new arrivals’? We don’t want to be new anything. We just want to leave. Now if you will kindly show us the way to leave, we’ll be on our way then and I won’t have to hurt whoever decided it would be funny to stop a police officer while he was on duty!” He snarled.
The Doctor hesitated before he nodded. “Yes, though I would like to know more about this place. Where are we? What sort of people live here…and why is it dangerous after dark? What sort of creatures are these things that people are afraid of?” He chattered, frowning seriously as he put his hands into his pockets. His attention was again distracted however by the appearance of three new beings…
~
“Because Castiel doesn’t come unless I really need him, Sam and even then it normally takes hours of yelling myself horse.” Dean grumbled softly. It was true, the angel normally only appeared when he wasn’t needed, when Dean didn’t want him there even though he knew he needed help, or only after a long and exhausting shouting match at the sky. “What’s with that look anyway?” Dean asked as he noticed Sam’s strange expression, the way he was eyeing Jeir…
“Hey…jailbait, remember…I think anyway.” Dean joked as he reached out and shook Sam’s shoulder playfully and then swore loudly and hissed in pain as he doubled over and clutched at his knee and shine. “Damn…” Dean grumbled softly as he nodded a little in agreement with his brother, though mentally he was already imagining roasting marshmallows over the chest as it burned. As he finished tending to his aching leg, he limped after Sam and the strange vampire girl before he paused, seeing the group of people through the fog. One, two, three…six men just standing there and…oh blessed days, a car!
“Nice wheels…” Dean muttered to Sam as he stared at the Cortina, wondering just how the orange-brown vehicle drove before he blinked and looked at Jeir when she meet pavement. “Err…you okay, kid?” He asked, though made no step forward to help the girl as he reminded himself that she was a vampire with an evil box for a pet.
~
The Doctor hurried forward though when he noticed the girl and bending beside her, he stared as he offered her his hand, his smiling chocolate colored eyes shining with concern. “You alright?” He asked, his hearts beats louder and closer now.

“Okay, so maybe she is a vampire if she can tell we’re brothers just from how we smell…or some other creature. That still doesn’t excuse her…and it doesn’t explain how the hell she or we got here…” Dean said before he groaned and put his hands to his face. “This is just too weird…where’s Castiel when you need him. Or any other of the angels? Maybe they could explain this to us…” The elder brother finally peeked back at the girl and mumbled softly.
“Still…if she’s some sort of monster…” He began before he trailed off as a loud creaking noise grew louder and louder. Lowering his hands fully as he stared at the strange chest when it arrived and came to a stop, Dean gapped at it, he completely stunned. It was a moving chest. Not just a moving chest, but a chest that ran on little legs…That still didn’t distract him from the fact that he notice the girl nearly disappear for a few seconds and then reappear fully dressed…yeah, she wasn’t human…and don’t think he didn’t notice the sweeping glance she gave their necks either. No, he defiantly was going to watch this girl for any funny business if she tried to attack either himself or Sammy. He just hoped he had enough warning to stop her if she did try anything… Listening to both Sam and the vampire girl talk about flat worlds, the Earth and how each party managed to get into this foggy little dump of a city, Dean glanced around again before he glared at the Luggage. He didn’t like it. It was strange and unnatural…His eyebrows shot up when he heard from her that her wooden chest liked to eat people. Yeah, it was on his ‘ganking list’ for sure now. In fact… “Keep her busy and distracted and I’ll go get the salt and the gas from the trunk” Dean whispered to Sam, having full intent to burn the creepy wooden box. At least they wouldn’t have to worry about it sneaking up on them and gobbling them up as they tried to figure out where there were and why there were here. ~ Gene really wasn’t sure what had happen as he stared up at the gray sky. One moment he was charging towards the man that had dared to damage his car and the next he was flat on his back, he dimly aware that there was another, heart-wrenching and sickening squeal of metal as the throwing knife was removed from his car and the assassin was speaking again. Threatening to kill him, was he? Gene wanted nothing more not then to at least try to kill the robed-man... He was then aware that his DI was standing over him, asking if he was alright before he held the large man up. “I’m going to kill ‘im” Gene snarled as he grabbed hold of Sam’s shoulders to keep himself steady. “Then I’m going to bang him up for attacking an officer…” He added before he glared at the Master. “But first I’m going to strangle your double for laughing, Tyler…” He growled. He stayed where he was though, still a bit dizzy. The officer’s anger faded away however as he watched robed man scale the building as if it was nothing. “…scratch that, I need a strong drink…” Gene muttered as he looked at Sam and then blinked, frowning when the skinny pin-striped suited man wandered over to him and Sam. ~ The Doctor had blinked when he was pushed aside, he turning quickly to try and grab hold of Altaïr’s robe when he rushed Gene. “No…wait! Don’t hurt him!” The alien cried out, wincing when the assassin sent the larger man sprawling. “…Ouch…” He muttered before he looked at his companion and shook his head. “Alright, fine, don’t help…” The Doctor said as he put on a friendly smile and wandered over to the police officers after watching the assassin scale the building. It was a neat trick, he had to say. Nothing he could repeat, but then again, he was better at running: Not upper body strength. “Hey, he alright?” The Doctor asked as he looked Gene over before he looked at Sam, his grin widening. “Look at you. You’re perfect. Your sideburns are longer, but you’re a near double!” He exclaimed as he circled around Sam once. He then proceeded to offer him his hand. “I’m the Doctor by the way. That there is the Master and we seem to be suck here…as you appear to be…you’re not from here, are you…no, you got some temporal displacement about you…Don’t worry, I’m sure we can figure out how to get out of here…” He said cheerfully before he blinked and turning quickly, he glanced at the new figure that had joined them. “Oh…hello there…” The Doctor said as he eyed the red-haired man. From the corner of his eye, he noticed Gene’s glare and the officer’s hand reaching for his gun… |

The Doctor just grinned back at the Master. “At least I tried to sabotage it. And I can so drive her…more or less…” He had admitted to the other Time Lord. At the moment though, he was considering Altair, his head cocked slightly as if he was trying to remember something. “Oh, I don’t know, Master. I’ve never had any Jehova-whatits come knocking on my door…did you really? You’re lucky you didn’t have some government agency that likes to dissect aliens come instead if you went around telling people you were an alien.” He jabbered, still looking thoughtful.
The Time Lord then grinned. “I got it! I know where I’ve seen that outfit before! You’re an assassin right? You’re a bit out of your time period though if the look of this area is anything to go by. What branch are you…you’re one of the desert groups, right and..Hmmm…1400 something, right?” The Doctor asked cheerfully as he turned his head, blinking what Altair threw the knife at the said car that was rolling up. “Oh dear…hope the driver is a cheerful sort…what you just did was like throwing a knife at someone’s horse.” He chirped, eyeing Sam curiously. “I don’t know Master, the look is rather fetching. I especially like the leather jacket. Did you know I used to wear a leather jacket in my last regeneration? I don’t remember where I got it from at the moment, but as soon as I remember, I’ll tell you. The likeness to you is extraordinary though. I think he is you…it’s possible he’s an alternate reality you though.” He said before his face fell at the Master’s suggestion that the larger man might be him. He pouted for a moment, his lip stuck out as he scowled before he sighed. “Still not ginger…” He muttered. “I do hope that’s not me, I really want to be ginger next time.” He added, as if the weight issue wasn’t really an issue at all. The man then blinked and stepped back slightly when said large man glared in a very, very angry manner at them. “Uh oh…” ~ Gene stared at Sam’s doubleganger, blinking slowly. How could that be possible? There wasn’t a twin Tyler he wasn’t aware of was it? He hoped not. One pain in the a** was more than enough to deal with in a life time. He didn’t need two Tyler’s barking orders and procedure at him. Besides, his Tyler was better dressed at any rate. The new Sam looked ridiculous in the monkey suit he was in. He wondered if he was some sort of business man… He was pulled out of his stupor and thoughts, however, by a very unpleasant thunk and sound of squealing metal. Standing quite still, he staring straight ahead, Gene slowly turned and looked down at the chunk of metal that had embedded itself into his car. Slowly he turned back, his face contorted in fury, the likes of which his DI had yet to see on the DCI’s face, his face a dark red. “I’m going to kill ‘im…!” He roared suddenly as he made a dash towards the assassin, his hands raised as if he was going to strange the man as soon as he could get a hold of him. ~ The Doctor bite his lip when he saw the large man rushing towards them…or rather the assassin before them. “No no no…” He muttered to himself, knowing that the large man’s attack would not go over well with the trained and deadly assassin. “Master, back me up?” The Doctor asked as he stepped forward and quickly stepped in front of Altair and spread his arms slightly. “Stop! Nobody is going to kill anyone!” He yelled quickly, ready to pounce on Altair if he should reach for any more weapons. ~ Dean frowned a little when Sam offered the girl his jacket before he turned and glared a little that clearly meant: ‘Hey! I was enjoying jailbait here!’ Looking back at the girl again though, he put on a charming smile that melted away when he felt something jerk itself out of his hand and the girl had his gun. He stared first at his hand and then at the strange girl and then at his hand again. “…hey! That’s mine!” He finally said, though paused when she said she was a vampire. Great, just what they needed. More supernatural stuff when they were already up to their ears in the stuff at the moment. “Jeir Velothril, huh?” Dean grumbled as he glared, his hand gripping the strap of his equipment bag tightly. He had a machete inside, and if he could get back to the car, he was sure they still had a jar of dead-man’s blood hidden somewhere. “Look, sweetheart. I don’t know what the hell a Black Ribboner is, but we really can’t go on just your word that you don’t drink human blood. We’re not stupid.” He said, cocky smile still on his lips. She certainly had a funny way of pronouncing ‘guns’ though, and opening his mouth to agree with her that it would be foolish to waste their ammo on her anyway so why don’t she just return his weapon, he faltered, his smile fading away. What was this chick trying to pull? Any hunter worth his salt knew that the traditional ways to ward or kill off a vampire didn’t work against real ones. The only way he knew to kill them was to chop their heads off. Nodding in agreement with what his brother was saying, Dean smiled in a strained-but-cheerful way before he turned and grabbed Sam’s arm. “We need to talk.” He said as he dragged Sam off a short distance away and leaned his head close to him. “Okay, this chick has to be pulling our legs. She can’t be a vamp…and what other place would there be for vampires to come from? Look, she must be something else just trying to get our guard down, or she’s some crazy brat that likes LARPing far too much for her own good…I mean, look at her…she’s not even wearing any clothes under that cloak…” Dean muttered. “…either way, we should watch our backs with her…I don’t trust her.” Dean added. “I don’t like this place, and I don’t like the fact that the first person we meet claims to be a vampire….” |

Gene Hunt simply turned in his seat, staring at his DI as he rambled. Coma? ‘Wouldn’t be the first time’?…Gene narrowed his eyes slightly and sniffed. He did think Sam was crazy. Hell, he was aware his DI was probably missing a few screws, especially with the nonsense he spouted some of the time, but a coma? “Coma, huh…question is, what are you doing in me comatose dream?” The man asked in slight agitation.
“If I was to be out for the count somewhere other than me own head, I’m not sure I would want to bring you with me. I’m obviously disturbed and cracked in the head enough to be in a coma, I don’t need you in a dream to disturb me further.” He added after a moment. As the DCI continued to drive the orange-brown colored Cortina down the street, he blinked when Sam spoke. He did hear it and by God, what a horrible noise it was too. “Sounds like someone trying to grind bolts in a blender.” The big man commented before he frowned in confusion at what he saw. “It’s a police box, Sammy-boy. They used to have them so that the citizens, in their simple and stupid way, could shove any scum they came across into it before they called us. Strange thing though is that I haven’t seen one in ten, maybe, twenty years…” Gene said as he pulled off to the side of the road and peered through the fog at the strange box. “Government pulled them when they thought people were getting hurt trying to be heroes…” He added as he got out and leaned on the door, watching the tall thin man get out of the box and was approached by another man in very…very strange clothes. Pursing his lips, Gene considered the duo for a moment before he slammed the door and started towards them. He was quickly stopped in his tracks when a third, very familiar looking man, appeared in the police box’s doorway. “Bloody hell?” The office muttered as he glanced back at Sam and then to the Time Lord he had yet to speak to. ~ Doctor nodded. “We would have indeed gone boom if we were in the antimatter universe. So it’s safe to say we’re not there.” He said cheerfully before he nodded. “I hardly think we’re in the hell hell version of Duat. Maybe someone just had a sense of humor. I mean, there’s Hell, Michigan, United States, Earth. There’s also a Hell planet and a Hell system. They have planets in that system named after the ‘Deadly Sins’. Each of them is a very lovely place to have a holiday at too.” The Time Lord chattered as he continued to try and find out ‘when’ they were, what system, and so forth. Nope, the TARDIS was only displaying that their time and place was as she first told him. “Duat…” The alien repeated softly. Something told him that it wasn’t just the TARDIS having a system glitch or trying to be cute, or rather mis-behaving on him. He had a feeling that something was interfering with the TARDIS’ systems and it was the same something that had brought them there. He decided not to voice his thoughts aloud to the other Time Lord, at least not for the time being. They had other things to worry about. As the Doctor looked around at the city they found themselves in, at the deserted playground with it’s rusty swing set and slide and it’s dead grass, he turned his eyes to the car the Master had indicated. He would have to agree that the car did look like something from that time period, but before he could agree or argue with the Master (He was going to disagree, saying lots of people collected cars from different eras and the surrounding building structure suggested the 1990’s anyway), his attention was once again diverted. “Oh, hello there.” The Doctor said cheerfully to the robed man before he shot the Master a look and stepped on his foot. “Sorry, he was born without manners for certain people. I know, I grew up with him.” The Time Lord continued just as happily, he quickly removing his foot before the Master decided to do something unpleasant. “But no, we’re not going to buy any religion. I didn’t know you could buy religion. Master, how do you buy religion? I know you can buy stuff from that religion, but I didn’t know you could buy a religion.” “But anyway, I’m the Doctor.” Said the Time Lord suddenly as he grinned widely in his usual manic way. “And this is the Master. Master, say hello. As for where we are, I don’t know. Duat, or so I think. My equipment is being a bit…testy at the moment.” ~ Dean seemed to almost read his brother’s mind as he continued to turn slowly, pointing his gun along his line of eye sight. No way was anything going to sneak up on him… “Maybe something took us because of you, Sam…you and those powers of yours. Like back when ol’ Yellow-eyes had you with those other ‘psychics’…” Dean glanced at Sam, giving him a grumpy look. “Well, if someone wants to kill us, we’ll just kill them first.” The Eldest said before he turned quickly, pointing his gun at the young girl. Eyebrows rising, Dean felt a perverted grin stretch across his face as his eyes wandered down the girl’s body before he looked back at her face. He felt his mood freeze however when he took note that the girl couldn’t be more then sixteen. He reminded himself that no matter how hot she was, she was certainly underage and thus off limits. He knew he wouldn’t hear the end of it from Sam if he tried to score with someone that was underage. That didn’t stop him from being flirty however… “As my brother said, sweetheart, we’re not sure where we are. Just sort of…woke up here. Hey…you don’t happen to have anything freaky about you, right? No strange powers or anything?” The Hunter said with a cheeky grin as he eyed the girl again before he lowered his gun just slightly. She did appear harmless…but then again, so did a lot of other things they dealt with. He kept his gun raised, ready to snap back into a shooting position again before whatever this girl was could attack. Salt rounds weren’t likely to kill her if she was relatively harmless after all. “The name’s Dean...and you are?” He added as he glanced around and shivered as a chill ran through his spin. |

The boy continued to stare. It wasn’t a friendly or curious stare, one that a young child might have when they see something strange and new. It wasn’t even a fearful one. It was just a stare: Blank and without emotion, his face and clothes grubby and smeared with dirt.
The child didn’t respond to Jeir’s greeting, but at the scrapping noise, the boy’s eyes darted towards the sound of it. Emotion remaining absent from his face, he blinked before he turned and ran, running to the street and continued to foot it until he was out of sight, rounding a corner. ~ Gene was silent for a moment, his head tipping back and turning as he looked up and around at the lonely buildings that looked down at them. Slowly he turned to face Sam as he leaned on the Cortina, his arms resting on the top. “I don’t think we’re in Kansas anymore, Dorothy…” The Guv said in a rather calm voice. His eyes, one of the few expressive things on the rough face of the copper, were wide though. Gene was nervous. He was out of his element, thrust into a new world that he had no idea how he arrived in. The man surveyed the area again before he got back into the car. “Phyllis, you there?...Come on, answer me, speak to me in that ‘angelic’ voice of yours…” he said into the radio as he grabbed for it. All that answered back was crackling static. “Damn it!” Gene snarled as he threw the radio on the floor and crossed his arms. “…Okay Tyler, theories, ideas. Give me somethin’. At least tell me I’m not going mad, or pinch me or something so I know I’m not bloody dreamin’.” The copper finally said as he reached for the glovebox and pulled out his gun. “And second, get in. We’re going to drive until we find someone.” The Guv added as he holstered his weapon and started the car. He didn’t want to think that this city was as dead as it looked, that no one lived in it…that wasn’t right. Even a dirty, scum filled city always had its “rats” and squatters. He didn’t want to think of what he would do if he found himself in an empty city. ‘Maybe this is it, Genie. You finally managed to hit a oncoming vehicle, smashed your brains all over the street…maybe you and Sam are dead…’ Gene thought as he started the car, very glad it still roared to life, and waiting for Sam to get in, he started down the street, looking for any sign of life as he drove. ~ The Doctor groaned softly, his stomach feeling a bit sore from its recent collision with the edge of the examination bed before he blinked. He heard the Master’s muffled yell, and before he could move, the other Time Lord had shoved him away. “Oops, I’m so sorry Master” He said as he brushed his jacket off and quickly looked the man over. He was alright it seemed…squinting angry at him, but alright. “What?” The Doctor asked, looking surprised. “Nah…it couldn’t have crashed into a mountain. There are no mountains in space…and the shield is up, so we couldn’t have crashed into another ship again…” He mused before he shook his head. “…we have stopped though…and landed. Hold on, we have to go check it out!” The Doctor said as he turned suddenly and ran out of the room, only to return a moment later with the Master’s old clothes. “Here you are! Professor Yana’s clothes!” The Time Lord said cheerfully as he tossed the outfit at the Master. “Now, let’s go see the damage, shall we?” He said with a wild grin before he turned and ran to the control room. His grin didn’t last long though, for as he looked over the controls and the screen of the TARDIS, he was frowning quite seriously. “…The TARDIS doesn’t know where we are…at least in the universe of things…she doesn’t have a time either…the only bit of information she can give me is that we’re in a place call “Duat”…” The Doctor said. After a few more moment’s of staring at the screen, he turned and going to the door, he pushed it open and stared out. “…Master, I think you might want to look at this…” The Doctor said softly as he stared out at the foggy playground the TARDIS had been forced to land in. ~ Dean glanced at his brother and then around the building. “Yeah? You think?” Dean muttered as he rubbed the back of his head and frowning even more. What was Sam going on about…wait, he could see it now. The door and the walls weren’t made of wood anymore. “…yeah, why bring the car?...” Dean wondered before he rushed to the driver’s side and getting it, he tried to start it. The engine only clicked, making a high-pitched whining sound as the engine tried to catch and failed. “Damn it, the battery must be dead.“ Dean growled as he got out an walked around to the back of the vehicle. “At least all our gear is here…” He muttered as he grabbed one of the duffle bags and started to stuff weapons into it, he checking to make sure he had real bullets as well as grabbing several salt rounds and stuffing them into the bag along with the sawed off shotgun. Grabbing his handgun, he placed that in his pocket before he grabbed a few bottles of holy water and some amulets. “Better be safe than sorry, eh?” He told Sam as he pulled the pack onto his shoulders and walked to the door and looked out. “Okay…this is freaky…” The hunter said as he looked out at the foggy area outside of the building they found themselves in. “…Let’s go, maybe we can find someone and ask what town we’re in…” Dean muttered as he pulled out his gun and walked outside, he glancing around. “…Hello? Anyone nearby?” He called casually. |

The Doctor’s youthful face stared down at the Master, watching him silently. It had been a few weeks since it had been the end of the whole ‘Year that Never Was’ mess and things were slowly getting back to normal…well, not normal in any case. Not now that he had a companion, one from his own people even and an old enemy and even older friend. His best enemy you could say. It had been this man that had refused to regenerate, almost leaving him alone in the universe again, but by a twist of good fortune the Doctor had been able to revive him.
The Master was currently resting, having done so for the weeks that Jack Harkness had helped him repair the TARDIS and in some cases, more or less take care of the other Time Lord. The Doctor wanted to say less, because he was sure that Jack probably did things to the Master that hindered his healing process. Not that the Doctor mentioned it to the Captain. So here the Doctor was, watching his adversary, the only other Time Lord sleep, he traveling through space slowly as he waited. His waiting paid off, however, as the Master stirred and an excited Doctor was there to greet him. “Hello, Master! You’re awake. About time, I was starting to get worried about you.” The Doctor said cheerfully as he placed the cold metal piece of a stethoscope to the Master’s chest to listen to his hearts. He winced however at the other’s yell as he looked back at the Master’s face. “In a rubbish bin somewhere, I would think. I had to throw them away. They were filthy and bloody!” The Doctor said before he added. “And I couldn’t examine you properly with your clothes on!” The Doctor added as he put the stethoscope away and turned, messing around with some stuff on a counter as he grinned widely. “I really am glad to see you’re awake Master, it’s been so boring with no one to talk to. Just the wall, but it’s not like it would answer me ba-ack!” The Doctor said, starting to chatter when he was hurled forward and sprawled across the Master. “What the…” The Doctor said as the TARDIS gave a horrible, squealing noise as she tossed and pitched before she came to a crashing halt. The Doctor stayed still, half laying on the Master, who he was currently accidently smoothering his face with his chest. ~ DCI Gene Hunt did happen to be asleep. Dreaming in fact and a very nice dream it was turning out to be too with his mind being exceptionally kind and featuring Diana Dors holding a bottle of chip oil as she made her way towards his dream self. Then suddenly, strangely enough, she was sitting beside him eating a bacon buttie, the smell making his stomach growl… On the other hand, perhaps the sandwich wasn’t just part of his dream, for as the images faded away, the smell lingered. Yeah, the buttie was really there alright. He was just about to crack his eyes open in order to look for his sandwich when he heard the sound of the radio and Phyllis’s voice shouting their latest charging orders into his car…about time. He was getting sick of waiting for some scumbag to make the first move. The cowboy cop quickly sat up, his hand automatically reaching for his bacon buttie as he tore the greasy paper from the sandwich and spared a glance at Sam. “Girl” He spat at him when he saw that he was pulling on his seatbelt, once again before he stuffed the sandwich into his mouth and turned on the engine. He didn’t know what his DI had against his driving. His driving was fine, thank you very much. He didn’t understand why the pansy always insisted on wearing a seatbelt whenever they went anyway. Eyes alight in excitement as he gunned the motor, they shot out of the alley and with a squeal of the wheels, he sped down the street. This is what he lived for. To chase after some crook that thought they could get away with committing a crime in his city, to think they could pull a fast one over the Gene Genie, to think…to think there must be something wrong with his eyesight for one moment he was eyeing the road, watching for any pedestrians stupid enough to try and cross the street in front of him and the next his vision was obscured by a bright flash of light. “Ah! Damn it!” The DCI swore, his sandwich falling from his mouth and into his lap as he slammed down hard on the breaks. Raising his hands to his eyes, he rubbed the spots from them as he growled. “What was that? Sam, did you see who flashed a spot…light…” Gene trailed off as he looked around before he quickly opened the door and got out and stepped out onto the cracked pavement of an unfamiliar street, surrounded by unfamiliar business high-rises, in a very unfamiliar city. "Bloody hell...what..just happened?" Gene muttered as he frowned at the think, damp and cold foggy air closed in around the Cortina and the two police officers. ~ It had been a stupid mistake to come into the factory alone. For one thing, Dean was having trouble locating he ghost. For another, there had been no one to watch his back. That had been his biggest mistake right there, for it was that reason he found himself on the floor at the moment, his head throbbing as he let out a pained scream. Why was he alone in the building again? Oh yeah…Sam was sick. Telling his younger brother that he didn’t want him coming in because his sneaking would alert the poltergeist had only been half the truth. The rest was that, despite his teasing, Dean didn’t want his younger brother over exerting himself when he thought he had things under control. The elder Winchester brother would never tell the younger that he was concerned about his health however. No, Sam could just go on thinking that Dean didn’t want him in the building with him because he would be noisy, instead of knowing he would rather his younger brother just rest and try to keep warm while he dealt with work. So far his plans had gone south very quickly. Dead didn’t even get a chance to turn his head to squirt at whatever, or whoever had struck him because whoever it was, it was unsatisfied with the man just kneeling on the floor. Dean again felt something hit him across the back of the head and he blacked out, not even feeling himself crash to the floor. It wasn’t until he felt a hand on his shoulder, someone shaking him and a familiar voice disturbing the headache of his already throbbing head did he awaken. “Ugghh…what hit me...” Dean groaned as he looked up, his vision slightly crossed eyed as he blinked at the faint sunlight that lit the factory. “…what are you doing out of the car?...and …” Dean gasped softly as he pulled himself up and stumbled towards his precious vehicle. “My car…did you drive my baby through the wall, Sam?!” Dean chocked as he leaned on the hood and looked at the front of it in horror. ~ The thing was there was someone watching Jeir when she turned into a cloud of bats and reformed. This someone was a small boy of about eight, his skin pale and his eyes sunken in. He standing beside a half-fallen beam in the abandoned construction site the vampire found herself in. The boy didn't speak; he just stood there, watching Jeir silently. |

((sorry, was doing school stuff as well. Plus I have a new job o.o))
John grinned a little more, pleased that Jack didn’t brushed him away. He took this chance to move his hand from Jack’s shoulder and slip it around his waist, the ex-Time Agent moving closer to the immortal. “Yeah, I’m sure that’s what he’s doing…” He crooned softly, his amusement evident in his voice. He could tell by the look in Jack’s eyes, by the tone of his voice: He was lying. There also seemed to be something that was bugging him. Maybe he could get it out of him later on… “Ooh, damage control?” John cried out as he chuckled again, excited. “I love doing damage and controlling.” He purred before he nodded. “You know me, I always have my rifle. You don’t have a bazooka, Jack?” He added in surprised, giggling. “I do. Maybe I’ll let you play with it later on when we go hunting.” John said before he whispered, putting a hand on Jack’s far cheek. “Speaking of playing…” He whispered as he quickly turned Jack’s face towards him and planted a quick, rough, and lustful kiss on the Captain’s lips. ~ The Doctor grinned widely when the Master took the bag of candy from him. He was pleased that the other Time Lord had dropped his pride enough to allow himself the Doctor’s gift. Oh, the better of the two was sure the Master thought that the Doctor was pleased that he was able to ‘feed the wild animal’, but that wasn’t it. He was just glad his former friend and best enemy allowed himself the treat. Even if it was from the Doctor. “You don’t have to roll your eyes. I’ll make sure he gives you a blow up mattress at least! Those are pretty comfy I hear.” The Doctor said as he put his hands into his pocket, still smiling away his trademark grin. “But I’ll make sure you get some furniture, Master…it’s not fair for you if you’re locked away for your own good and you’re not even treated with dignity. I’m very angry with Jack about this.” He said. He didn’t look it at the moment, but he was. He didn’t like that Jack was mistreating the Master so. Still…”Master! You know I’m brilliant. You’re brilliant, I’m brilliant and the universe is a huge place. If you just…I don’t know…shared your information you tried with me, I’m sure I could continue to search…I’ll find something that will stop the drums, Master. I promise you that.” The Doctor said, and for a moment, his smile slipped away into a look of sincere seriousness, he gazing into the Master’s eyes before his grin returned in full force. “How is that candy by the way?” The Doctor asked as he walked around the Master, considering him before he sat down on the bench by the wall. “I knew you’d like it. You always did have a sweet tooth. You know that offer to travel with me is till offered. You’d have to stay in the TARDIS, but it would be better than a tiny cell wouldn’t it? I mean, the TARDIS is huge. You know that…and you would have free reign inside of her. Just…you couldn’t go outside. Not until you proved you wouldn’t maim or kill anyone.” He was chattering again as he looked around, his long legs stretching and unstretching in front of him. “What have you been up to for an entire year anyway?” He asked as he looked at the Master again. |
