So you guys were awesome, that's just simple enough, I love seeing your entries and loved looking through them. I seriously got my design drive back up just doing this.

of course it kinda died at the end, but that's still cool because hell it went better then last year didn't it?

anyway it's time to announce the overall winners.

FIRST PLACE: Catiris with 28 points, catiris you're a wonderful designer, you really make me smile with your designs.
SECOND PLACE: TIE; sendoku, and Larzar each with 18 points. which is awesome because larzar you pretty much tied every damn time didn't you? Both of you have such a great designs and are sure to have a future ahead of you.
THIRD PLACE: cali soca with 13 points, you're awesome buddy, don't stop with your designs.

All of you better remember me when you're older ya know?

I'll be sending prizes in a bit okay?

I have the winners, but only out of technicality.

Catiris, sadly your images are copyrighted, and you can't use copyrighted images in a contest with a prize.

So for this round Larzar's was the only one I could take, once again it really sucks but that's the way it has to go.

so Larzar you're first place.

and Catiris, I'm not giving you points for your profile, but I am giving you some for being such a good sport through out this whole thing wink

I got two submissions, out of 14 people who are in the contest.

Which pretty much just signals to me that the contest is over.
So after deciding these winners, I'm going to tally up who had the most points and give them the prize.

Because clearly if the contest goes on we're going to get to the point where only one person enters.

So it's been fun, expect the winners in a couple of hours or so.

Dose the profile have to be for the contest or can it be for somebody else?

It wouldn't be a commission but If I have to make a profile can I make it for free for a friend or something?

Or is that against the rules?

personally I'm going to say as long as the profile is made within the time frame of when I posted the contest and august 11th, it's fine.

seeing how I did say just make a profile.
BUT I trust that you'll be honest about it and not just use a premade one.

Reasoning behind this mumbo jumbo shrimp: I like the simplicity of it, it also manages to stick to me.

My viewo: It's very pleasing to the eye, it gives off a dark feeling and draws me in.

Huh? Sen's is just very pleasing to my eye, the only problem I have is the white text on the back of the book it can be a bit hard to read.

1. Catiris
When I saw this my mind went "erjwlfkajf". Catiris really went above and beyond with this design, including getting her own images and making the cover both informative and aesthetic. It's a great and unique design which I could definitely see as a real book cover. icon_whee.gif It's just absolutely wonderful.

2. Sendoku
This is a creative design which also looks great. I'm not doing very well with coming up with constructive comments today lol. But really, it looks great, and I think it's an effective design.

3. Cali Soca
Yet another effective design; I like the idea of layering a real picture in the background. This is a much more simple cover, but it is still great.

I wasn't really in a comment-giving mood...but

Nice use of colors. Clean, simple, and easy to read. Conveys content well. Great design.

Nice art, very good design. Cool colors, and really tells a story.

Cool background, and once again good colors. I like they way the pictures are show. Not too thrilled about the author name on the side.
