Hi I was backing up one of my DVD's so I burned it to a blank DVD.

When I tried playing the DVD on my DVD player it worked, but for some weird reason the movie started in the middle and jumped around to multiple different scenes every 5 minutes or so.

It's not my DVD player, my other DVD player does the same thing.

I'm using dvdshrink, i've never had this problem before, does anyone know what's wrong?

Hi I bought a seagate 500gb hard drive 3 months ago from newegg and it has been sketchy ever since.

I started noticing it took quite a bit longer to load up games on HL2, HDD health gave it a 60% performance rating, another gave it 55%, it has failed seagates SMART test, I seem to be getting chkdsk quite a bit on startup, and sometimes I can sort of hear a whining noise coming from what might be my HD.

What should I do? Any progs I should run? It's still under warranty does anyone know if I can send it in before it dies to have it examined or does Seagate only replace HD's that are 100% dead?

I asked for the person higher up and she stated that there was no number to transfer me too which I felt was a load of crap. I haven't called many companies but I have always been able to talk to a supervisor of some sort, perhaps she lied.

I've never thought about throwing in customer loyalty in their face that is an excellent idea, thanks a lot for your input.

I guess you missed one of my questions, couldn't the company cancel the first check they supposedly sent me and send me another one? I don't see why I would have to wait.

I was thinking about filing a complaint with higher-ups, but I also thought about contacting the federal trade commision, what do you think of that?

Hi this April 30th I purchased parts and built a brand new computer using newegg.com's service.

I bought 4 products which stated they had mail in rebates, it is now 8/25 and 2 of my rebates have not come in. I read everything carefully, copied all the forms and mailed them in before the required time, bought it in the required timeframe, hell I even highlighted the product I bought from that specific company so they couldn't miss it.

1.I have called both companies. I called the company XION 2 weeks ago and they said the check was on the way, I called back again 1 week ago and they said the same thing, but still no check.

2.I also bought ram from Corsair and when I called they said they mailed the check to the wrong place, stating they had missed one digit in my numerical address and must have shipped it to the wrong place. She also said that she would have to wait till august 14th to send another check?
I am pretty sure she's paid to give people bullshit and keep Corsairs MIR money, why couldn't she just cancel the check they sent out and send me a new one??

Both Xion and Corsair say please allow 8-10 weeks for delivery, I am now on week 14...

I do not need a lecture about how MIR's cannot be expected, which is why I was extremely careful to do everything correctly. Sorry about this being long winded, i'm just a little pissed because these companies are trying to steal my money when I jumped through all the hoops so they could not deny my MIR...and they did anyway.

Any thoughts?

Hi I had some files on my external hard drive which I deleted and now I realize that I need some of those files. I've looked around for recovery programs but I am not sure which one to use, what are the best programs for getting back files that have been erased and emptied from the rec bin?

Hi I recently built a new comp and I needed to xfer files from my old comp to my new one so I set up a network. It seems that whenever I send files over it will freeze everything but my mouse after they are almost done sending and I will have to reset my new computer and send the parts it was unable to send before it froze.

Both systems are running XP. Thanks for any information you have.

Speedfan shows my core temps at 42C and 65C, why is one core so hot and the other just right?

Is there anything I can do to change this?

Please help, anything would be appreciated.
