I would say anime influenced semi-realism. But since you wrote Hercules, I should say I'm a BIG fan of old school Disney. heart But when someone says western comic, I usually get a picture of Marvel style. I don't like it at all.
But I say, put samples of both styles up and let the clients decide what they want. Hope this helps. PS Damn.... now I have From Zero to Hero playing in my head. Again. gonk |

I think the only thing that you have to worry about is color settings, so you won't end up with a purple (while trying to draw a 100% health no halloween make-up on person). I've seen it happen. XD
Other than that, I can't say, because I've never used one. Just a general -> Practice!! and I soooooo want one toooo. *sneaks into your room and "borrows" it* |

- When you want to watch an utterly boring movie again, because you like the color palette of the film. (and then your friends want to bang your head against a wall, when you can't stop talking what a great movie that was)
- When a tree can keep your attention for a looooong time, while you think how making leaf patterns differ in different media..... then you start to think about Sycamore Maple and Canadian Maple and that they don't really look the same - When you can't have an aesthetically unpleasing shopping list, so you rewrite it and make little picture next to the words sweatdrop |

I like it that way.. It allows me to farm lower LV places with say 4 higher LV ring (3 attack, 1 healing) and it works way better then having 8 rings all at that level.

I would. As for the samples *points to the signature below* I could send you photobucket links, since the site I was staying on died I allways also send the quick sketch before coloring and lineart, so you can tell me, if you're happy with it.
btw.... this is a missplaced threat, it doesn't belong in AD, but in the Art Requests. Just heads up, so you could contact a mod before you're reported. |

| Ancient Greek/Egyptian Art History: Menkaure and Nike Go to post | 14 | Art Discussion |

Here's a link to a link about Menkaure statue http://witcombe.sbc.edu/menkaure/menkaurediscovery.html
Anyway I'm trying to remember any classic Egyptian statues that wouldn't face forward and I come up with nothing. As far as know their art was also mathematically constructed. I'm not sure about 4th dynasty, but later on the body was divided into more unites than today (smaller heads, think late renaissance in a way). They obeyed special formulas that told them what is proportians are pleasing. I've read some stuff on them, but it not on the internet so I can't really point you. I believe, that most of Egyptian art was ment to serve a symbolic/religious purpose. To tell a story of a pharaoh's victory, hunting expedition, a builder life of cutting stone and greatness or to conveyed a fact (pharaoh potrayed with god and godesses), statues to represent supernatural guard etc. As far as women goes, I would prefer to live in Egypt. Greek women (but not godesses and heroines)were pretty much kept in house and out of the public life. Remember, that in Athens in time of the democracy the only ones who had voting power were men born there and considered true citizens. The head of the house was it's representative and all the others were considered dependent on him in a way. This was then in a way adopted by the Romans (they could adopt their social structure form the Etruscan, and I wonder how the world would be today, but that's not really related) |

I like this event better than the Easter one. At least here you don't wait around a bunch of screens having an egg snatch right under your pointer. sad
