I think censorship in entertainment should be removed entirely, but that's just my 2 cents. Leave the rating systems in though for those who honestly care, but don't impose them with laws.

Forgive me for laughing at your opinion for a second there. Have you really thought that one through?

There's a reason for censorship laws. They're not just there out of spite, y'know.

I guess it's just how the media works in each country. You're right in a sense; I'm in the UK and here, it seems sexual themes in videogames is hardly an issue at all, but violence can get very controversial.

*shug* Depends on the morals of the politicians in your particular country? I'm not sure. Interesting point though.

I hadn't noticed that one yet. Though I do love the Ikea parody website that you can see on the computers in the internet cafe.
Do devs kill thier own new franchises? Go to post 4 Gaming Discussion Sat May 03, 2008 4:20 pm
Certainly if a developer's had a lot of success with one series then it's not uncommon for them to bring out something new and expect people to lap it right up.
But on the other hand, sometimes they'll bring out something that's just a clone of their last game *coughNintendocough* and expect it to do well, and that won't work either.
It's a bit of a fickle market.

I thought that was his point?
Halo 3 and World of Warcraft were both 'sequels' of a sort, so people flooded to get them. I thought the point was a brand new game nowadays isn't going to pull as much attention as a sequel.
It is true, though. You only really see the big crowds pulled in by sequels. I suppose it can be a good thing though, it pushes developers to be more creative when they create new games.

I'm loving the game so far. I'm not so good at aiming either, but at least I get to show up my friend's shoddy driving with my own superior skills wink
I like the characters in this one a lot better too. The characters of GTA: San Andreas hardly appealed to me at all, but I genuinely like watching these guys.

Hmmm... possibly Doctor Steinman from Bioshock,
Or James Sunderland from Silent hill 2.
