Anyone reading World's Finest, BTW? It's pretty good. #1 was a little dry, but the second issue was a blast as Sterling Gates joined the conspiracy of writers working to make me look as stupid as possible for having insisted nobody would be able to write an amusing Damien. I've high expectations for #3 as well based on what gates was saying in interviews about the friendship that he sees Kara and Steph developing.

Got the first one and somehow missed the second one, so I'll be picking it up this week. I sort of wish the Adventure issue teaming up Superboy and Red Robin was part of this arc.

This is going to take some thinking on my part...10 years is a long time and I've been exposed to more in comics in that time than the rest of my life.

Hey, is anyone planning on doing a best/worst of 2009 series of threads?

You didn't mention the outfit.
It's a given, at this point.

*Out of curiousity looks up the cover of the last Batman released*

Wait... wait a second.... Why is there a
hole in her uniform? Same symbolism as Power Girl? That's the same Zinda from Birds of Prey right? Not a different Earth?

That's not the outfit being discussed. That's a poorly colored version of her usual uniform, which has a large yellow Blackhawks symbol on the front.

This one is the correct outfit for rageface.

I don't know the 'official' names of most of these.

Fantastic Four: The One Where Ben Dies and They Meet God and He's Jack Kirby

Sandman: The Kindly Ones

Fantastic Four: True Story

Superman: Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow?

Legion of Superheroes: The Great Darkness Saga

Legion of Superheroes: Cosmic Boy Commits Genocide But It's Actually A Clever Ruse

Superman: That Mark Waid Origin

Flash: The Return of Barry Allen (the Waid one, not the current one)

Flash: Year One (also the Waid one)

Fables: March of the Wooden Soldiers

All-Star Superman

It's easier to imagine all that Donald-speak if you read those comics right after watching something starring Donald. I recommend any short that doesn't co-star Chip n' Dale.

Remember that back in the 40's and 50's, Huey, Dewey and Louie all spoke like that too, and it wasn't until (I believe) the late 60's or 70's that Uncle Scrooge actually got a voice! Scrooge McDuck is Disney's one pure case of comics becoming other medium, rather than the reverse.

Oh my goodness, that's ridiculous on both sides. Nice to see Alan's been keeping that ego in check.

Johns and metafiction are not a good combination. Did anyone else see the bit in the most recent Green Lantern where Atrocitus spent a page responding to criticisms of Blackest Night from an Alan Moore interview?

Really? This happened?!
