Sorry, I skipped over all the replies because I've said this millions and millions of times.
What you look like does not MATTER when choosing cosplay. What's important is that you choose a character that you love and can bring to life. Sure, it's a plus if you do find a character you look like, but it's just not the same if you don't know that character.
I'm a cosplay photographer. When my models know and love their character, our shoots are so much fun and their pictures come to life! When they're completely clueless...I can't get a spark out of the picture. Or the model.

It's all about finding similar patterns and altering them. Also, if you're looking to save money, JoAnns often has really great sales. Especially with the Fourth of July coming up. So keep your eyes open for those. =]
You might even be able to find the pieces for the costumes at thrift stores, and alter them. Creativity is key! Best of luck! heart |

Harry Potter.
I would rather my children grow up reading Harry Potter and learn life lessons from the characters than grow up on Twilight, which has none of those lessons. |

This was started years ago as a joke.
It's true that an American Death Note movie is very possibly in the works. According to IMDb.com, there's a page for a Death Note movie to be released in 2011. But there's no other information provided. It's categorized as "in development", so all information is only available to IMDbPro accounts. I don't have one, nor am I interested in purchasing one, so I can't provide any further information. It's unfair to bash an actor concerning a particular genre when that actor has never been given the opportunity to practice their skills in said genre. Maybe the darker, more action filled genre is where Zac Efron belongs. It's what he strives for, according to interviews. On a somewhat unrelated topic, it's also been discussed via the internet that Zac Efron is under consideration for the role of Sousuke Sagara in a live-action adaptation of Full Metal Panic!. It's pointless to freak out, if that's what you feel concerning a casting choice, before official announcements have been made. |

At A-Kon 18, I saw a really, really good Ichigo and Rukia duo cosplaying outfits from the first opening theme.  Gah. Coolest thing ever. OHOHOH. I'M SORRY. SECOND COOLEST THING EVER. These two were the most amazing, in character cosplayers I have ever seen:  Special Agent Bob and Secret Agent Steve at A-Kon 19. XD I hate A-Kon, but man, it seems to have the coolest cosplayers. >_< They were really nice, too. biggrin heart |

Lady Riza Hawkeye Don't believe all the bs that you read, people. Vic is a great guy. There are a lot of lies out there about him for some reason, and people keep believing them. Quit the hate. Vic has said that he doesn't care if his fans love yaoi, and he respects their fandom. He has asked for fans to respect his feelings as well. How would you like it if someone shoved pictures of dead animals in your face? And how would you feel if people spewed hate at you for not liking to see them? People have a right, you know. He isn't a homophobe, he just doesn't appreciate yaoi pr0n SHOVED IN HIS FACE at every turn. As for the whole holding church at conventions, who the hell cares if he does? Its not like anyone is FORCED to go there. Hell, if I was a church goer, I might enjoy hearing a favorite char's voice actor giving a service, esp if I couldn't go to church because I was at a con. Again, its their own choice to go. FREEDOM OF RELIGION, people. Now, stop all the hate. You don't REALLY know Vic Mignogna.
