I'm sure he is too ~ I hear there isn't much going on there right now.
All the military is good for is (to an extent) disciplining the undisciplined (ie: a couple of my Marine friends, & one of my Army friends). I do truly commend you for the discipline that I'm sure you've attained. But our government is corrupt, which means our militia is a brainwashed drone to an extent (or, at least, that's what the government wants). Which is why I've proudly been in many heated debates with recruiters...and Republicans mrgreen The only soldiers who fought & died for my freedom are those who fought for our independence from Britain. That's it; & even that was somewhat unnecessary. I'd like to think our societies have evolved intellectually, beyond the need for war. Obviously it hasn't though, & unfortunately it probably never will. I apologize for my rant~ I know it belongs in a different forum. I hope you come home soon, safely. *counts down til Bush is out of office* stressed |
