Purple Carnation Jessalina Beautifully Intended The Mediator series by Meg Cabot
I second that one.
Also I think The Young Wizard Series wouldn't be too bad either.
And I second this.
Oh my freaking gosh, these are my two favorite book series (Serieses? Series'? How do you makes 'series' plural?)!
And I doubt they could pull off Young Wizards with a live action movie very well without the special effects looking outdated 3 years later. (I noticed that lately with some movies I thought had some pretty realistic effects and it made me sad.)
Yeah, I've always thought the same thing. That's why I've always thought it would be better animated or something rather than live action.

Ritzy_freak Jessalina Well I'm a shopaholic (hmm... is that even a word?) when it comes to buying books. I have so many books I haven't read, but that's because I love buying new ones. I don't believe it waiting until I've finished all the books I haven't read before getting new ones. It'll take me a lot of time to finish reading all my books, I'll read them eventually though, just not now. If it makes you feel better, I'm guilty of the same thing crying
Yeah, it's very comforting to know I'm not the only one. I even plan on getting more books tomorrow...

I bought it the day it came out (I made my mother take me to Borders I was counting down the days until it came out). I haven't read it though, I had meant to reread the other two books sooner, but that didn't happen. So right now I'm almost done with the first one, I should be down with the second on tomorrow.

Wow! Just wow! I just finished this book earlier (before I headed off to work), and I couldn't believe it. I mean I had been a little disappointed with the last two books in this series (Falcondance and Wolfcry). I mean Wolfcry was alright, but I was a little disappointed with Oliza's choice, I mean sure it was cute that she ran off with the woman she loved. And ok, I was a little proud of her I admit, but really cute wasn't what I expected. So, it wasn't great. And Falcondance just wasn't my favorite. But let me tell you, I fell in love with Wyverhail. I mean I loved how it was from Hai point of view, it made her seem more real than in the other two books. I really did like it. And it hadn't disappointed me. Now I have to figure which I liked more Hawksong or this one.

Zaxoth Arturos They won't be able to do Twilight any more poorly than the book was.
But, anyway, I would have to say the worst book-to-movie transitions are ones that combine multiple books in a series into a single movie, twisting and corrupting the plot and characters, until only the basest of events are even remotely similar to the book, as well as the names of a few characters. I'm looking at you, Disney. You and your horrid attempt at the Black Cauldron.
Wow, I feel kind of ignorant right now. I always loved The Black Cauldron (always been on of my favorite Disney movies). I didn't know it was based on a book (or a number of books), I really want to look into that now...!
Well I usually try not to have a biased opinion when it comes to books being turned into movies. A lot of the time I don't look at a book and a movie and connect them. Usually they're two separate things in my mind. I even liked the Harry Potter movies even if they did kill the books (though I was very happy with the 5th one, though I was a little upset that they didn't add more of Snape's memory). But I even liked the Ella Enchanted movie, and compared to the book it was horrible. I mean what was Disney doing with that? Still If I forget it was based off of the book, I love that movie!

Beautifully Intended Jessalina- There isn't that much chatspeak in these books. I hardly use it, but I was able to figure everything out as I read. At least try and get it from your library if you're worried about spending money on it.
I probably should check this book out the library. sweatdrop But the librarians never like me very much, and I don't think my school library has it (I would know since I know it like the back of my hand). But maybe I'll talk my cousin into buying it, I'm sure she'll like it and I'll borrow it from her... actually that sounds like a really good idea right now...

There have been a couple of times when I've gone to the book store and thought of picking that book up. But I'm not too good when it comes to understanding text talk. I know a few things but even my own mother knows more than I do. So I don't really bother, and it really doesn't look like my type of book.
