I've always loved Anthropology and Archaeology (and anything else they involved). Everyone I know, seems to think I'm weird because of it. I guess cause it seems random. I also find Astronomy and Physics interesting (but I'm easily freaked out, so I try to stay clear from those).

You're not alone. I love Archaeology and Paleontology, but most people I know find them boring and unrewarding.

"So, you'd like to lay in a hole and stroke rocks with a paint brush all day?" scream

Someone who understands!

At first when I mention this to people most of them ask me what it is. When I tell them they say. "Oh you want to dig up bones? I can bury some chicken bones in the backyard. You can look for them and tell me where I got them from and tell me how old the chicken was. That'll save you some time." I swear every other person tells me this. It's not original anymore people.
WALMART Go to post 133 Extended Discussion Sun Jun 21, 2009 7:24 am
i S o m m e r

A homeless man used to live near the area where their parking lot was he was forced out of the area because he would buy food at their mcdonalds, the manager thought he drove the customers away because he was unpleasant.

There are homeless people who stand at the high way by Walmart where I live. They all have signs that say "homeless, please help". And Walmart has offered a job to ALL of these homeless people. And I see a different one about every month, and these are young people. They all look to be in their 20s and early 30s. But none of them take these offers. So I don't really feel sorry for these people. I did at first but once I heard they had been offered a job, that was the end of any pity.

On another note...
Walmart is like my family's church. It's were we go at least once a week. And we bump into people we know often (then again I live in a small city everyone knows everyone). I'm a purse fanatic (I can care less about anything else that has to do with fashion) and I always buy purses that are $3-$7.

How to Explain to a Child Go to post 18 Sociology and Psychology Sun Jun 21, 2009 6:59 am
Deranged Imagination
When I was a kid, I was under the impression that everyone thought in English but spoke other languages.

I've never understood this. When people ask what my native language is I can never really answer that. I can tell them which one I feel more comfortable with. Then they'll say which one do you think in? I don't know. I can't really change the language so how would I know?

Anyway, the way I would explain it, is that there are different ways people communicate with one another. The way a cat would talk to another cat, but we can't understand. They don't speak English or Spanish or Creole.
Twelve Year Old Pregnant?!!!! O_O" Go to post 56 Extended Discussion Sun Jun 21, 2009 6:42 am
I know three years isn't really a big difference, but I common what was a 15 year old doing with a 12 year old? Couldn't he get someone his own age? There are more females then males after all. What was his problem?

Ok, done with my rant. DoCS? Why didn't they step in when the father called for his concern for his daughter? Maybe they aren't to blame completely, but I think they should take part of the blame. And maybe the father should have done something himself. Talk to his daughter. (I know my father would have tracked that boy done to find out why he was dating a 12 year old.)
The "Perfect" Other....? Go to post 51 Extended Discussion Sun Jun 21, 2009 6:32 am
Well I'm a romantic at heart. However do I believe people are perfect? No. I'm I perfect? No (well that questionable). Do I expect my significant other to be perfect? No? Do I expect he'll be perfect for me? Yes. To me there is a difference. Sure he'll have his problems, but everyone is like that.
Should a man have a say on the abortion of his child? Go to post 1377 Extended Discussion Sun Jun 21, 2009 6:28 am
I think in a way it's only fair if what he wants goes into some consideration. I mean, if a woman wants to keep the baby and he doesn't... well he can't really do anything. So tough luck for him. But if he wants the baby, that's kind of unfair for him. What if he wanted kids or something? And the woman decides "it's her body she can do whatever she wants with it." She says she doesn't want a baby.
THE SIMPSONS OR FAMILY GUY? Go to post 135 Entertainment Discussion Sun Jun 21, 2009 6:08 am
Even though I don't watch it as often, I have to say The Simpsons. I mean, common no one can beat them.
Age of Aquarius Go to post 11 Science and Technology Sun Jun 21, 2009 6:03 am
Well, here I am again (but this time I'm really confused). I don't know why I'm often looking up things that have to do with astrology and things like that (because well, it gives me anxiety, that's why I can't really go anywhere with it. Still I'm always wondering).

Anyway, I was reading about the new movie 2012 and I guess it included the "theories" behind the actually date. And they mentioned this "Age of Aquarius". I've been looking this up (but again I'm kinda slow with this stuff). I'm not understanding these astrological ages, or how they're determined. I guess I'm wondering if someone could explain this like they're talking to a child.
# of books read Go to post 25 Books Sun Jun 21, 2009 5:56 am
93... maybe I'm not really sure, but that was the number the last time I checked (and I can't remember when that was...).

It's 95.
