People like to criticize them based on a bunch of stereotypes that just aren't true.
Plus, most people who claim to be scene aren't really scene kids, and they tend to ******** up the fashion horribly, so people group them in with the real scene kids.
I love how the "haters" will criticize them about being "conformist" and "unoriginal" and then go on to whine about how scene kids don't dress the way they want them to dress and don't actually conform to there views on what looks good and what doesn't, so it's all really hypocritical.
Another thing, most people hate on scene girls in particular, and the people saying this stuff usually are girls themselves, maybe it's a jealousy thing.
I think scene kids are cute, and 90% of the girls who hate on them are really... errr.. not cute.
People do this stuff online, though they probably have never actually met a scene kid in real life.
It's all about getting online cred and taking shots at people they don't even know behind their backs.
