er. what we were talking about is just that- that so many death eaters WERE slytherin, and that JKR made that comment just to favor the gryffindors.
we're not denying that JK made that comment to favor the gryffindors, just that it was wrong.
again, everything you just said just further strengthens this argument: that the books are prejudiced.
The themes in the books are showing how prejudice is in every day life and how it effects everyone and their views. The books shows how even though good, decent wizards comes from Slytherin, people ignore the good and only remember the bad.
Also, Tom Felton did a splendid job acting as Draco. Definitely the best performance in the whole movie. His acting is so convincing and so beautiful.

I think everyone forgets the first two books were pretty short in comparison to the ones being done now. 600/700+ page books being turned into movies is more work than a 200 something page novel.
So far, I've really enjoyed the work Yates has done. Sure, some things could be done better, but there's only so much the director can do.

And Zabini was NEVER a girl, it clearly states in book 6 he is, in fact, male.
I'm a big Zabini fangirl. Italians do it better.
and on to further Blaise-ness(HA I'm corny) He is very hot. I would toatally be the Lav-Lav to his Won-Wonsorry, but no.
if you've read HBP it specifically says he's black.
and where the hell does it say he's italian anywhere?? link please?

I don't think so, but his look could have just been a foreshadowing for us in general, and Dumbledore could have just been considering the idea.
Yes he knew. In "The Prince's Tale" one of Snape's memories show that Dumbledore told Snape that Harry would have to die for Voldemort to be defeated. It was the "After all this time?" memory I believe. He didn't out right say "HARRY IS A HORCRUX!" but he knew Harry had to be destroyed, just like the other Horcruxes.

Arcadia Roseblood Wouldn't Ginny have to have SLEPT with all the guys shes dated (before Harry) to be concidered a slut? To my knowledge (and by what the books have said), Ginny never slept with any guy she dated, she liked to flirt, c**k tease etc but never has she actually SLEPT with them.
Besides, it isnt like a teenage girl HASNT has ten boyfriends a year, Ginny had what? three before she got with Harry, big deal, I know girls who have had at least 5 and never slept with them and that was just in a 6 month period.
Concidering that the book ONLY said, IIRC, that Ron said his sister acted like a slut or something then she isnt one, Ron is wrong, concidering she hasnt slpet with even ONE guy, like I said earlier, how can she be a slut?

You have to remember, even if protecting Harry was because of his love for Lily, he acted a lot like a d**k to Harry because he resembled James in many ways. The way he acted and talked...he even looked like James, so imagine how he must've felt looking at the direct copy of the man who bullied him throughout his years in Hogwarts.
I feel that Snape did what he did in order to fit in with the rest of the Slytherins. Remember, no one in Slytherin believed in anyone that wasn't a pureblood. If they were to find out he was a half blood, imagine how they would've treated him. Considering how the other houses loathe Slytherin, Snape would've basically been bullied and alone. His only real friend was Lily, until he called her a Mudblood out of anger, which was a mistake he wishes he could fix.
I do believe he was a good guy, but he doesn't fall under all those typical characteristics of what a good guy is. He just did things differently, and it doesn't mean it makes him an all around bad person. It just makes him that more of a complex person.

It's on pg 143 of HPB where it quotes he's a "tall black boy with high cheekbones and long, slanting eyes."
