If you would never cheat on your boyfriend then you need to forget your feelings for your ex. You can't be sharing your love for them, that's not fair to both guys. You and your ex are NOT together, you can't be giving him your love when you have a boyfriend that should be having YOUR love.
If you can't even devote your entire love to your boyfriend, then you shouldn't be in a relationship at all. It's not fair to him that you have lingering feelings and not giving him 100% of yourself. |

Don't always believe what other people say. It's best you find out yourself instead of hearing it from other people.
That's why when people tell me things, I ask the person in question directly so that I get a direct answer instead of some bs someone probably made up. |

All I can really say is that it depends on the two people and how much effort they want to put into the relationship. It requires a lot more work than a short distance relationship.
You have to think to yourself, is this girl worth it? For my boyfriend, the answer is yes. We've gone through a lot...from dealing with what people have said to our parents and from getting my parents' acceptance to fighting his and getting theirs. I've yet to meet his still, but they were pretty against the whole thing because...well...everyone know the whole conflict with Korea and Japan...I'm half Asian (part Korean and Japanese) and he's Japanese so his parents weren't thrilled to hear I was part Korean. It was a tough obstacle to overcome, and we did. We've had our ups and downs like other couples, but unlike couples who can fight face to face, ours was over the phone and we had to do our best to resolve issues that way. It's hard for him at times when I'm hurt because he wants to hold me when I'm crying my eyes out about something and he knows the only way he can help me is to just be there for me and talk to me...he's said so many times how he wishes he could be there with me to just hold me until I stop crying. People have told him he's being silly and wasting his time with me but he tells them he doesn't care, even though it's hard, it's definitely worth it. For me, my answer is the same. He's definitely worth the effort, because he is the only guy I've dated that has EVER accepted me for who I am and what I am, no matter what. He's been there with me through everything and he's never given up on me when there were times I felt like giving up. I can honestly say I don't know what I would do without him; this is my first long distance relationship and my first serious relationship and he's treated me far better than the guys I have dated and got to see everyday. Just because someone says it didn't work for them doesn't mean it can't for others. |

DoctorPerryCoxPhD A long distance relationship never works. Ever. Trust me, i've tried in the past and it never works. Either you meet longdistance and it becomes a short distance relationship or it drags on, flutters out and dies. A long distance relationship is a relationship with a timer. If its not made close by the time that timer runs out, its over. Long distance does not work. I wouldn't say NEVER. While it's true a lot of them don't succeed, not all of them are unsuccessful. I'm currently in one right now and we just made a huge change in our lives to live with each other next year because we can't stand the distance. There have been many times in the relationship where we could've just said forget this, let's just end it, but we always made it work because we love each other that much. Just because it's long distance doesn't mean it can't work and we work really hard to make sure it DOES work. We're that important to each other and we're looking forward to the day when we can actually see each other everyday instead of on web cam everyday and the visits we get to do every other month. |

There was a guy I liked from 7th grade to our senior year of high school. We were really good friends, had almost every single class together every year and had the same part time job. When I was rejected by him, it did hurt a lot and it took me a long time to get over it. However, I think what helped was that he was willing to still be my friend even after I had made it so very awkward between us...and the fact he could even be my friend when he KNEW I liked him showed that he wouldn't let something like that interfere with the friendship we had.
I did date other guys while I was still getting over him...the feelings I had for the other guys wasn't a lie but I was never willing to be serious or commit to them either because I always had some hope in the back of my mind that things might work out for us. But as the time went by and we had gone our different ways, I knew it wouldn't work out, and I knew I had to move on from that point. Because I managed to accept that fact, I was able to get over the feelings and wish him the best and in the end, because I gave up on him and let him go, I was able to eventually find my current boyfriend of nine months. Getting over a guy isn't always easy, and for everyone, the amount of time needed to get over someone differs. We graduated hs in 2003 and I didn't get over it until almost the end of 2005. I got over other guys quick because I didn't have the same feelings/attachment/bond to them that I had with the guy I had liked for years. Now in turn, he's wishing for my happiness with my boyfriend. =) |

Wow, love? I'm glad you didn't say it back to him because the word shouldn't be taken so lightly.

Wow, your brother is a jerk. =( You worked hard for everything you have and he shouldn't be rubbing it in your face that he has money. One day, you'll be making the big bucks because of your degree and what about him? He should be hoping he'll make it through college.
While in today's society it's almost a must to have a degree to be successful, there are people, like Bill Gates, who don't even own a degree and are extremely successful and wealthy. However, it's a matter of being humble about it, and your brother certainly isn't acting humble. One of the things that kinda gets me though is how you threw your achievements in his face. Sure, he's not as intelligent as you and he had to take time out to wait to start school, but you shouldn't stoop to his level and belittle him as well. I guess it gets to me because I took a break from college myself for about 3 years because I went into the military after my first year of college. Now I'm trying to get back into school so I can get my degree; almost all my friends have finished school and are either getting a master's, in medical school, or have a job and starting their careers and a new life. I'm not even there yet, and because I have a very successful boyfriend that's getting his master's and just got hired by a very well known company, I have people looking down on me. People are telling him I'm not good enough for him and he could do better just because I took time out from school to do the military and get educational benefits to make my way through school. So it kinda hurts me to see you do to your brother what people are doing to me...and while my boyfriend is sticking by me because he has faith in me and knows I'll finish school and get my degree, it's still harsh because people judge you by something you can't help at all. Just because these people are lashing out at me because they're jealous I have an amazing boyfriend with the education I have and my background and they're on a higher level financially and career wise than me doesn't mean I'm going to treat them just as poorly back. Instead, it's more initiative to become better to prove to them my boyfriend deserves me in every way. I'm lucky to have someone that will stick with me no matter what anyone says. I know it's hard to hear your brother rub it in your face, but try to not let it get to you and let it be more as your motivation to strive to be better. If you show that it doesn't get to you, he'll get bored of harassing you about it because he knows it won't have an effect anymore. |

Cupy_cakes Blitzkrieg Beauty I wouldn't date a co-worker, especially if you see them often. If it doesn't work out, work is going to be horrible. And, how would you feel if your boyfriend was doing this behind your back? Tell him you have a boyfriend, and don't lead him on. yeah but its sad to say that i kinda have a thing for him.. and i def dont want to lead anybody on.. and my byofriend and i have been happening problems lately.. just things havent been going right. i guess i cant make it real until he says something. i dont know if he really does like me,. becauses ridcioulus how nice he is This guy seems perfect only because you and your boyfriend are having problems. Problems in relationships happen, but you need to work to fix it instead of thinking oh we're having problems, this next person looks pretty good..! If my boyfriend and I handled our problems like that we would've broken up months ago. |
