I've seen Phantom twice - the first time was in March (in Las Vegas) and my Erik was Anthony Crivello. I think he was okay, but nothing to write home about. He has a very flat voice (no emotion behind his words) and overall, just not a good Erik. The second time I saw it was in June and my Erik was Stephen Tewksbury. Now he was an excellent Erik! There was emotion behind all of the words he sang or spoke, and his acting in general was superb. My only regret is that I did not get to meet him.
As to the movie, it is okay. I will watch it, but only because it is really the closest thing to the musical. My personal favorite is the 1925 silent movie, starring Lon Chaney.
Michael Crawford, you say? Oooh...do not get me started! Personally, I think he is a demigod! I also think he is the only man to ever do the stage Erik justice (besides Stephen Tewksbury). He...well, let me put it this way. If I could marry Michael Crawford, I would - in a nanosecond.

I've read Inkheart, and it was excellent...extremely well written. Now, I'm reading Inkspell, and like someone else said, it is boring. I don't know what happened! I'm beginning to think that sometimes, sequels are not always the best. Also, I'm going to wait to form an opinion about the entire trilogy till after I've read Inkdeath.
My favorite characters? I have two...Capricorn and Dustfinger. I can honestly say that I have no idea why I'm so intrigued by the character of Capricorn. I do have one guess, though: I've always liked evil characters. Dustfinger is an interesting character, as well, and if I do read Inkspell at all, it is only to find out what happens to him. I'm reading the second book in the Inkworld Trilogy...it is called Inkspell. After I finish it, I'm going to read the final book in the trilogy...Inkdeath.

I usually don't cry when watching the movies, either, but last night I watched part of Return of the King. It came to the part where Pippin takes the palantir for the second time, and when that happened, I just about lost it. I ended up crying and throwing a pillow across the room. Also, I wanted to somehow get rid of Gandalf, because he had a hand in the whole mess.

Pippin...enough said. Suffice it to say that I go nearly insane if someone just mentions his name, and that I want to just scoop him into my arms and cuddle him for all eternity. However, Merry might get angry at me for stealing "his" Pippin... lol
