Screen flickers and then dies (Toshiba) Go to post 3 Computers & Technology Fri Jan 09, 2009 5:07 pm
Could someone point me in the right direction please? One day my screen was flickering so much, and then it eventually gave out and quit working. I'm not sure if I need an LCD replacement; because, I can still slightly see my desktop, but the screen is too dark. Like a black light or something died. Laptop still works on an external monitor though.

Anyways, how should I go about this? Replacing LCD's is expensive, but I may not need to replace it. I'm willing to try to take it apart myself, but I don't know how to go about it.

I have a Toshiba laptop, and I believe the model number should be: SATELLITE A55-S1064 and in case it's needed my part no. is: PSA5SU-09F00D

Thanks in advance! x)

I never really thought about it. I have no idea how I'll react. If that choice ever came my way, I'd have to think long and hard about it. As long as I can anyways. I really don't know. Either way, I value life, I probably will sacrifice myself for the child. I don't know for sure though that is what I'm currently thinking.

I am unsure because for one I have never been in that situation, and two I most likely may feel different about it if it ever becomes that way. So technically I don't have a real answer right now, but at the moment that's what I'll say, because that's how I feel about it right now.

I hope that made any sense. sweatdrop

The honesty in it and the uncertainty of your decision made perfect sense. It's not a decision to make lightly, after all.

The question though wasn't about how you would answer, but how you would react after someone else chose a stranger's baby's life over your own.

I'd still be unsure. The more I think about it though I'd probably be fearful and very shocked at first. I'd also probably be speechless for a long while before I say anything, and maybe go in a state of a temporary depression of sorts (avoid cutting oneself of course). Then I'd probably think about my answer... o-o

[edit] I just realized what the question meant. X_X;

Sheesh, gosh, I still think my reaction would be the same as above the edit though. T___T; But just be sure you mean your own life or your own child?

I'm sorry, but I'm not really following the process your thinking is going through here.

The question isn't about what you would choose, yourself.

The question is how you would REACT when your spouse or partner said that they would choose a stranger's baby over you if he was faced with the decision.

I'm not sure whether you just answered that or not. Perhaps simplify or restate your answer?

Lulz. Ohkey. Sorry for the confusion!

I'm not sure how I'll react. As I said before, I never had been in that situation, and if it ever came I wouldn't know about that now.

You can ignore my previous answers since I misunderstood the question. redface

And excuse me if I can't seem to comprehend what you're asking. neutral
Embarrassing Moments Go to post 16 Lifestyle Discussion Fri Jan 09, 2009 12:01 am
While visiting a university I slipped and fell in the cafeteria. It was so random. I got up as fast as I could. I don't think anyone saw me, but it sure was embarrassing either way. x]

There are more, I just don't feel like taking the effort to remember.

OK, so I started my period on the 3rd and I got done the 5th. But yesterday I was to the bathroom and WHAM! I'm on my period again... So I don't know if this is something I should be worried about, or if it's normal... Oh and before I forget, just some information about me so you can help me out. I'm 16 and a virgin. I think that's all the information that I need to give for this type of thing.

this is gonna sound funny but my mom was having that problem a few months ago... she went to the doctor for it and they said basically that she needed to calm down. she was doing like seven million things at one time and not getting much sleep. Are you stressed about anything? something big going on that your excited for or can't wait to get done?

I always thought that it doesn't happen when you stress. I haven't had mine for six months, and for a long while I was stressing and going through minor depression. I've been trying my best to relax recently, and still no period. I'd have those cramps once in awhile, but nothing happens. My sleeping schedule is weird tho I sleep late and wake up late, sometimes early. Nothing exciting recently, just sad a lot of the time. I'm also a virgin, but I'm 21 years old. neutral
Spanking children Go to post 1455 Lifestyle Discussion Thu Jan 08, 2009 11:44 pm
I don't see a problem with spanking them, it's below the waist. Certain children can't understand mentally what they did was wrong, so sometimes whether you like it or not, spanking is necessary.

Either way, yes, I have been spanked before, and I have seen what happened when any physical discipline wasn't used at all. They become spoiled, and think they can get away with what they do or get anything they want.

Martial Arts is a good way to teach kids discipline though and sometimes fun. They'd also learn to respect and appreciate. 3nodding I've noticed that kids who does attend these classes, are very well behaved and respectful.

This is all coming from what I saw and learned growing up.

What is your weird habits of being on the computer? Go to post 56 Lifestyle Discussion Thu Jan 08, 2009 11:24 pm
Lulz, the weirdest thing for me is that I balance my headphones on my upper lip, and hold it with my nose, at the same time, so it looks like I'm making a funny face. rofl

Creepiest dreams... Go to post 39 General Discussion Thu Jan 08, 2009 11:20 pm
The creepiest dreams I ever had always involved a certain house. I'd feel like someone is chasing after me, and I'm running away throughout the house trying to get away from them. Sometimes it's different though still involving the same certain house. I think it's the same house, but I always get those creepy feelings like it's haunted, at times I'd be exploring the house, but always try to avoid certain rooms because they give me bad feelings. I know other stuff happened in those dreams, but I don't remember. x:

Other creepy dreams involved comets hitting the earth. I think it's the earth. Anyways, I'd always be right under it, or I'd see it coming from a distance, and it was always scary.

*shrugs* I was going to talk about more, but I forgot.
