When will the world learn to not overreact to small things and learn how near-perfect their lives are compared to many others?

Never. Everyone's problems are valid, even if someone has it worse. /personal answer.

So Gwyn is DMing for us tonight. Our quest giver is a wizard with blue robes, blue hair, and a gold circlet. We were escorted to him by a woman in red apprentice robes with red hair. whee
That is so awesome whee What kind of quest is he giving you?

Quick overview of the nights events:

They started in a tavern called the Merry Minstrel in a town called Runeguard. As they were eating/drinking, they were approached by a human female wizard with red robes and spiky red hair about a job, telling them that for more info they'd have to come talk to her master. They agreed, and she took them out to the back alley behind the tavern and teleported them to a mountain. The mountain had two very large metal doors in the rock face, which the wizard (Kai, character name Kaitlin) opened with magic. She led them through the main hall, which has various portals and doors on the sides, to the very far end which has two wooden double doors. These opened to a council chamber that has a large circular table with all chairs the same size except for the chair at the exact opposite of the doors, which was larger. Kai asked them to be seated, and mentally contacted The Wizard, who appeared in the head chair. He told them that he needed them to procure a box of his that had been stolen from a trade caravan on the way to Runeguard. The perpetrators he believed were a band of kobolds who lived in a nearby cave. The party agreed to get the box back, and after exploring the mountain for a while were teleported to the cave entrance by Kai. Kai waited for them at the entrance while they entered. They went through the cave, killing three groups of kobolds, and eventually found the caravan traders who had been captured as well as the kobolds treasure room. They got The Wizard's box, as well as the gold that was stashed there, liberated the captives and set them on their way with the rest of the supplies that had been stolen. Kai then teleported them back to the Mountain, where the Wizard again greeted them in the Council Chamber. Upon opening the box, the Wizard revealed it to be empty, proclaiming that the whole mission had simply been a test (the main point of it was to test their strength and rescue the captives). He then offered to give them more work, which they accepted. As tokens that they worked for him, he gave them all pendants that have a capital W with a circle around it that give +1 to AC, Fortitude, Reflex, and Will.

That was the basic events of the night ^^

It was my first time DMing, and I really had a lot of fun. The threadlings I had introduced were:

The Wizard, a wizard of unknown race
Kaitlin, a Human Wizard
Fractal, an Eladrin Wizard (he was researching in the library, didn't do much this time)
Gwyn, a Half Elf Paladin (I gave them a tour of the Mountain, answered some questions, not much beyond that)

I already have a list in progress of the rest of the threadlings, who will be introduced gradually later. At the moment, the rest of the threadlings are on missions.
What about Rei? You know... Rei the obnoxious fairy that doesn't actually have any powers but likes to talk big?

*leans on* So does that mean she's not near as hateful as I am because she actually seems to not hate me?

So my dumb ex sent me an email the other day telling me she couldn't find my camera cord I've been needing and blah blah blah. In it, she mentioned sending my stuff back but not having the money to atm.

Here is her email, but just the part the coming question concerns:

"I do have your KH standup and some of your books, but I just had to make a payment on my summer sessions, and I had to have Mom take over the credit card payments for a few months, because I have no money left. Dad said he wanted to get the standup, which is packaged and everything to go, out of here before anything happened to it, because he's paranoid like that, so I assume he's still paying to send that. I don't know about the books just yet, or how much they'll cost. I'm applying for a job at the library and trying to see if they need anyone at Michaels, so if that pans out I might be able to send your stuff sooner. I'd say I was sorry but it's not exactly in my control. I was wondering when you might be sending the portfolio back, or if it was hostage 'til you got the rest of your stuff."

My reply:

"Also, I was planning on sending your stuff when I started getting money from the new job and also sending you a money order to send my stuff. If you could tell me how much you'll need to send all of it, that'd be great. I'd kind of like to get all of that taken care of and out of the way. I don't mind footing the bill for both your stuff and mine since up till now it's been on your tab. If you want a little extra to make up for the money sore I was, I can."

Her reply:

"As for 'a little extra money to make up for the money sore', if I did ask for any, it wouldn't be making up 'for the money sore' so much as helping pay off what's essentially joint debt on my card. But I don't know if I'm going to go there or not, if it's fair or not to do that."

At this point I'd like the thread to note something. I never once used her credit card. The largest most outstanding charge on the card was for her laptop. I never once even touched the thing. Never signed a receipt. Never told her to take it out. Most places it seemed like we paid in cash. I had to ask her for MY money to pay for HER birthday gift. Trufax. But I allowed it because I enoyed not having to keep up with my own finances. She kept me so in the dark, if I did cause more debt than I'm mentioning, I WOULDN'T EVEN KNOW IT.

Am I wrong for getting on AIM and ripping her a new one? >.o
Well, I don't really know what she's like but I'd say she was being aggressive from the first e-mail. I don't know if it's better to rip her a new one or get her to talk about where she's coming from. After all, she DOES have your stuff so you don't want to piss her off too much sweatdrop I'd ask to have a look at the joint financial records if it came down to it, but then, as a control freak, I never would have put my money in someone else's hands to start with. *is a massive control freak*

The question was meant in past tense, as had already spoken to her. It ended in me being very mean, because... I dunno. Because she makes me so mad.

The exact note it ended on was her saying my arrogance was showing and my reply of "My arrogance got me a job. What did your humbleness get you?"

She told me to ******** myself and blocked me. <.<;;; COnsidering IMing her other screen name that she's too ditzy to realize I can still IM and apologizing.
